Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the practice of quarantine guidelines and psychological influence between the young (aged under 64 years) and the elderly (aged over 65 years) groups during the coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) pandemic. Method: The data of this study were obtained from the Community Health Survey, 2020, Korean Disease Control and Prevention Agency. A total of 229,296 (young group: 156,314, elderly group: 72,812) participants were included in this study. Independent t-test, chi-square test and descriptive analysis were used for analyzing the data. Result: Elderly group showed lower adherence to wearing face-mask, maintaining social distance when outgoing and practicing handwashing rules than the young group. The elderly group showed a higher level of psychological influence than the young group. In addition, the elderly group had fewer supporters when they were isolated than the young group. Also, the elderly had difficulties in following the quarantine guidelines related to COVID-19. Conclusion: To prevent infection and death from COVID-19 in the elderly, proper education and support programs are needed. Also, support groups should be prepared and applied to relieve their psychological impact related to COVID-19.

Objective: This research aims to examine whether the perception of professional competence among childcare teachers impacts the performance of respecting young children's rights, and whether the teacher-parent cooperative relationship mediates this association. Methods: The participants in this research were 220 teachers in Daejeon who assessed the performance of respecting young children's right, the perception of professional competence, and teacher-parent cooperative relationships through an online self-report questionnaire. The data collected in this study were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. Results: Firstly, the results of examining the impact of the perception of professional competence among childcare teachers and the teacher-parent cooperation relationship on childcare that respects the rights of young children showed that each variable has a statistically significant influence. Secondly, it was found that the perception of professional competence among childcare teachers directly impacts the performance of respecting young children's rights and, indirectly, through the mediating role of teacher-parent cooperative relationships. Conclusion/Implications: To ensure high-quality childcare for young children, it is essential to consider not only professional perception but also the cooperative relationship between teacher and parent.

This paper discusses the applicability of a compact rolling piston refrigeration compressor to portable refrigerators. The capacity of this compressor is 1 cc. Using a 12 V BLDC motor, the compressor is driven from 2500 rpm to 6000 rpm. The height of the compression module and motor is approximately 56 mm, and their weight is approximately 374 g. We confirmed the effective operation of the compressor components by evaluating their compression and cooling performance.

The number of household living alone including young single adults has gradually increased. The purpose of this study is to examine the demand on housing options, additional space, shared space, community facilities, housing service for young adults living alone including college students. A total of 180 questionnaire were collected and analyzed. For housing location, commuting distance is the most important feature and amenities are the second important feature. For additional space, there is a significant difference between male and female single residents. Female residents want to install dress room most while male adults want to have a study room. For the shared house option, single adults concerns housing fee and living cost most. However, female adults concern safety and security issues much more than male ones do. The degree of preference to community facilities varies between male and female single residents. The findings suggest more differentiated approaches are needed for alternative housing options for male and female residents.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the literary approach using a game strategy on young children's phonological awareness and writing abilities. The subjects were selected from two classes of 'H' and 'M' Kindergarten in G city. The research tools used were the Phonological Awareness Ability Test, which was corrected by Jo, Kim, and Jeong(2006) and used to measure young children's phonological awareness abilities, and Lindberg(1987)'s Kindergarten Writing Assessment which was adapted and used by Noh(1994) in order to assess writing abilities. The literary approach activity using a game strategy used in this study resulted in an improvement in young children's phonological awareness abilities and writing abilities. These results suggest that these activities are valuable tools and can be applied successfully in the childhood education field as teaching aids.

Street Fashion plays an important role as an indication of new trends staring point for Young people who are fashion-conscious sensitive to changes in fashion. This study aims at: (1) comparing street fashion trends of young women in Korea and Italy by analyzing the characteristics of young people's fashion in Seoul and Milan between the seasons of Autumn in 2001 to Summer 2002 ; (2) understanding the way young women create ´self-image´ through the clothes they wear on the streets. Finally, 1 expect this study to become a useful source of data for a more detailed analysis of the overall trend of young people's fashion between the East and West.

We have constructed the foundations to a series of theoretical diagnostic methods to probe the jet phenomenon in young stars as observed at various optical forbidden lines. We calculate and model in a self-consistent manner the physical and radiative processes which arise within an inner disk-wind driven magneto centrifugally from the circumstellar accretion disk of a young sun-like star. Comparing with real data taken at high angular resolution, our approach will provide the basis of systematic diagnostics for jets and their related young stellar objects, to attest the emission mechanisms of such phenomena. This work can help bring first-principle theoretical predictions to confront actual multi-wavelength observations, and will bridge the link between many very sophiscated numerical simulations and observational data. Analysis methods discussed here are immediately applicable to new high-resolution data obtained with HST and Adaptic Optics.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine cluster types according to the playfulness factors of young children and to predict the character strengths of young children which have an influence on the types of children's playfulness. Methods: Playfulness and character strength tests were administered to 237 young children. The playfulness groups were classified by cluster analysis and the logistic regression analysis. It was used to find the character strengths of young children that have a effect on the types of children's playfulness. Results: First, the children's playfulness groups were divided into a high playfulness group and a low playfulness group. Second, there was a significant difference in all character strengths according to the children's playfulness cluster, and the high playfulness group was statistically significantly high in all character strengths. Third, the children's character strengths influencing the high playfulness group were vitality and positivity, self-regulation, self-esteem, and sensibility. Conclusion/Implications: Based on these results, the necessity of supporting these character strengths was discussed in order to improve the playfulness of children in the education field.

As silver surfers'(older people who are good at surfing the Internet) SNS use and influence increase, SNS shopping channels are also favored as the major means of contactless shopping. The study analyzed the trends in fashion styles corresponding to taste on the SNS shopping channels with silver surfer women as the target. Even though the shopping channel was for people in their 50s and 60s, most of the design factors focused on casual styles and young taste rather than the formal and mature image. The material, trim, and patterns reflected a retro or formal factor but were also reinterpreted as a young image to show the various forms. The characteristics of the women's fashion styles for silver surfers on the SNS shopping channels can be summarized as follows. First, they chose items that portrayed a young image regardless of their age. The colors, materials, and patterns of the products also helped to create a young image. Second, there was a tendency to pursue various casual items. Silver surfer women chose practical, casual items because of their active lifestyle. Third, retro items were reinterpreted as young and trendy. Silver surfer women showed their retro tastes but preferred practical clothing with young images.

본 연구는 전기노인과 후기노인 간 일반적인 특성, 상실경험, 노후불안, 우울에 있어서의 차이를 분석하고, 상실경험이 노후불안과 우울에 미치는 영향에 있어서 전기노인과 후기노인 간 차이를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구대상자는 서울과 경기지역에 거주하는 65세 이상의 노인으로 편의표집하여 설문조사를 하였으며, 최종적으로 206명의 자료를 통계분석에 사용하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일반적인 특성에 있어서는 전기노인이 후기노인에 비해 배우자가 있는 경우가 더 많았으며, 다른 변인에 있어서는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 후기노인이 전기노인에 비해 건강, 관계, 경제, 역할에 있어서의 상실경험이 더 크게 나타났으며, 노후불안은 더 크고, 우울은 더 낮게 나타났다. 셋째, 전기노인의 경우 건강, 경제, 역할상실이 클수록 우울이 높게 나타났으며, 후기노인의 경우 역할상실과 경제상실 경험이 클수록 노후불안이 컸으며, 역할상실이 클수록 우울이 높았다. 본 연구는 노년기를 세분화하여 노년 전기와 후기에 적합한 상실경험 보완 정책 및 제도 마련을 위한 기초자료로써 의의가 있다.
