본 연구를 통하여 고등학교 1학년 학생들을 대상으로 이들이 가지고 있는 우주에 대한 개념을 조사하고 이에 영향을 준 요소가 무엇인지 알아보았다. 연구 결과 대부분의 학생들은 우주를 물리적 공간으로 생각하고 있었으며 많은 수의 학생들은 '우주'하면 아름답다는 느낌을 떠올리거나 미지의 공간이라는 생각을 떠올렸다. 그림 표현에서, 학생들은 많은 경우 직관적으로 우주를 태양계 수준에서 파악하고 있음이 드러났다. 우주의 중심과 끝에 대한 질문에서, 학생들 중 태양 중심, 지구 중심 또는 중심 없는 무한한 우주를 생각하는 비율이 높았다. 우주의 변화는 한 방향으로 일어나며 이를 물리적 관점에서 서술하는 경우가 많았다. 학생들이 가진 이러한 개념에 영향을 준 요소를 알아보기 위하여 학생들을 성별, 신념별, 교과서 외의 천문 지식을 접해본 경험 유무로 그룹화 하여 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과, 각 그룹에 따라 우주의 중심과 끝, 우주의 변화에 대한 관점의 차이가 있었다. 또한 우주의 기원에 대한 이유를 설명할 때 종교적 신념에 따른 차이가 있음이 드러났다. 본 연구 결과는 개인의 우주관이 다양하며 이에는 여러 가지 요소가 영향을 줌을 보여준다.

On this earth, we usually encounter three states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. Those are the states we experience directly and most often in everyday life. However, if we consider the whole universe, more than 99.99 percent of our visible universe is in plasma state. The earth is in very unusual situation in the universe, and it is great virtue to whole creatures on this planet. In the beginning of the universe, however, there was only plasma. The other stuff came later after then. The Big Bang, beginning of our universe, was dominated by high-temperature plasma. It is where we all came from, and it continues to play a major role not only in our universe but also in various industrial applications of human being.

The general world model for homogeneous and isotropic universe has been proposed. For this purpose, we introduce a global and fiducial system of reference (world reference frame) constructed on a (4+1)-dimensional space-time, and assume that the universe is spatially a 3-dimensional hypersurface embedded in the 4-dimensional space. The simultaneity for the entire universe has been specified by the global time coordinate. We define the line element as the separation between two neighboring events on the expanding universe that are distinct in space and time, as viewed in the world reference frame. The information that determines the kinematics of the geometry of the universe such as size and expansion rate has been included in the new metric. The Einstein's field equations with the new metric imply that closed, flat, and open universes are filled with positive, zero, and negative energy, respectively. The curvature of the universe is determined by the sign of mean energy density. We have demonstrated that the flat universe is empty and stationary, equivalent to the Minkowski space-time, and that the universe with positive energy density is always spatially closed and finite. In the closed universe, the proper time of a comoving observer does not elapse uniformly as judged in the world reference frame, in which both cosmic expansion and time-varying light speeds cannot exceed the limiting speed of the special relativity. We have also reconstructed cosmic evolution histories of the closed world models that are consistent with recent astronomical observations, and derived useful formulas such as energy-momentum relation of particles, redshift, total energy in the universe, cosmic distance and time scales, and so forth. The notable feature of the spatially closed universe is that the universe started from a non-singular point in the sense that physical quantities have finite values at the initial time as judged in the world reference frame. It has also been shown that the inflation with positive acceleration at the earliest epoch is improbable.

The above study is based upon the Theory of Five Woon(Reasons) and Six Qi(Climates), namely Five dynamic Yin and Yang, the principle of five-six combination, the rules of ten periodically changing Woon and twelve periodically changing Qi, and its reference to the main chapters of the theory by several experts. After careful, comprehensive research and study, the followings are concluded. 1. The Theory of Five Woon and Six Qi controls all of the physical phenomena of the universe, yet it originates from Essence of the Sky that is replete and in constant motion within the abysmal expanse of the universe. So it is natural to claim that it is the Essence of the universe that is the source of the variety of phenomena in nature. 2. There is order of dynamics in the Essence and it is Yin Yang Five Movement and expressed by Five Woon and Six Qi. Therefore the Five Woon and Six Qi, which is the climatic changes of nature, is the basis and condition for all of the natural, physical occurrences including the organic phenomena of human beings. 3. Since the Sky embodied the number Five, and the Earth the number Six, Qi of the Sky itself is consequently Five Woon and Qi of the Earth itself is Six Qi. 4. In Sixty Repetition Intervals (Yuk Sip Kap Ja), the Sky took the number Six, designating the six times repetition of the ten Intervals of the Sky and the Earth chose the number Five, symbolizing five times recurrence of the twelve Intervals of the Earth. Though the number for the Sky is Five and the number for the Earth is Six, the two combine and interact in order for the Sky to exploit the number Six and for the Earth to use the number Five. This interplay implies the relationship of operation and principle of Yin in Yang and Yang in Yin. 5. There seems to be clear and intimate association between five dynamics, five bearings and five Qi' in nature and five organs, five stamina, and five emotions in physiological activities of human beings. Such an correlation apparently demonstrates the idea of climatic changes of the universe in balance among human beings, the Sky, and the Earth. 6. Because nature is of an endlessly dynamic organism itself, to have changes must mear there being movements. Thus the climatic changes in nature are the subsequent consummation of the interaction in mutual balance and unbalance of the rise and fall of the Five Woon and Six Qi. 7. The interpretation, by Chang Ji Chong of "Yin and Yang of the Sky are for birth and growth and Yin and Yang of the Earth for demise and interment" as an explanation that the first half is mainly for life and the second half for death, appears to be correct by his view that there is balance and harmony between the long and short and the strong and weak. 8. In addition to Three Yang and Three Yin, as attributes of the Intervals of the Sky and the twelve Intervals of the Earth, Five Woon and Six Qi are utilized in the annual observation of the perpetual changes of climates.

The purpose of this study was to develop and apply a creative problem-solving(CPS) program of instruction for earth science. After the earth science sections of high school science textbooks were analyzed, a theme of instruction was selected from the first-year unit 'the origin and evolution of the universe', and a CPS model of instruction. 32 high school sophomores and juniors who were the members of an astronomy club in the city of Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province, participated in the program, and they took a test in scientific creative problem-solving skills before and after the experiment to grasp the effect of the program on their creative problem-solving skills. Besides, a survey was conducted to find out their awareness of the program. As a result of implementing the CPS program based on the CPS model of instructional for the unit 'the origin and evolution of the universe', the program turned out effective at boosting the scientific creative problem-solving skills of the students. To be specific, they made a significant progress in validity and scientificity, but that's not the case for elaboration and originality. When their awareness of the CPS program was checked, they expected the program to spark their interest in astronomy and be beneficial to the improvement of their creative problem-solving skills, but they didn't rate group activities high on the ground that the group activities weren't performed smoothly. The findings of the study suggest that the CPS instructional program for the unit 'the origin and evolution of the universe' based on the CPS model of instruction had a good effect on the improvement of the scientific creative problem-solving skills of the students.

One of the things that should be done first in establishing the cosmic life culture is to reflect on the old human-oriented culture. If the cosmic life culture absolutizes everything except for humans according to the logic of reason, its foundation will weaken or eventually get lost. Separating humans from the universe is just like separating life from it. Given that all life, whether it is humans or the earth, originated from the universe, such an effort for separation merely values an individual life by excluding all life or whole life. When the human body and the cosmic chi' blood are not in an active flow, it means there is a problem with life. What is in the greatest need in such a case is the sincere human mind that follows the principle of cosmic life. It is like the sincerity found in the pasonri singer, who mellows all the hardships and difficulties in the world out and create songs out of them like the shadow. It is the pansori singer's shadow that changes the universe. It is only when the extreme force of human mind communicates with that of the universe that the cosmic life or cosmic life culture can be created. In that sense, it is urgent to create life out of the universe inside me and create a universe out of all life in and outside me. It is such a grave plan in human history in that it involves finding the "Sanal" which is the core of life living hidden inside the body whose life force gradually goes away or inside the universe, and creating the culture of Bokseung in which it bursts out. The most important thing in life is the flow, and the mankind is currently standing in the life flow of the massive universe's chaosmos. The greatest task the mankind is currently faced with is to think over how to deal with the period of Big Chaos in the massive universe's chaosmos reversely and establish the cosmic life culture anew.

The Time Domain Field is one of the future GTO program fields of JWST(JWST/GTO TDS), surveying about 14' diameter field at the North Eliptical Pole(NEP) with NIRCam/NIRISS. As a part of the multi-wavelength study of the field, we have obtained SCUBA-2 850㎛ mapping which reaches a depth of σrms = 0.9mJy/beam and detect 93 sources at S/N > 3.5 ― which are expected to be highly star-forming (SFR>400M◉/yr) galaxies at z ≳ 1.5-4 and pinpoint the location at <0. " 1 accuracy of 68 sub-mm sources by identifying VLA 3GHz radio counterparts. In this talk, we will introduce the SCUBA-2 JWST/GTO TDS project and the newly discovered sub-mm sources in this field.

We have accumulated the knowledge of the phenomena of external nature under the gravity fields of the earth, but have not the data of the natural phenomena under the high or low gravity fields. It is necessary to research the phenomena of the combustion, heat transfer and the behavior of the living animals under the high or low gravity fields. This paper introduces the mysterious universe in high and low gravity fields from the experimental study by Arai et al.

In contrast to conventional belief that extended inflation ends when the Universe percolates, we find inflation may continue at least many Hubble times even after the Universe percolates. What is observed is that inflation will not stop unless the global equation of state changes from inflationary one into radiation one. Thus the energy density of shorter wavelength gravitational waves induced by bubble collision at near the end of inflation should be at least Order $(10^2)\~O(10^3)$ times greater than previous estimation of Turner and Wilcek(TW).

Exploring a universe with gravitational waves (GWs) was only theoretical expectation for long time. In September 2015, the Laser Interferometer GW Observatory (LIGO) first detected GWs emitted from the collision of two stellar-mass black holes in cosmological distance (1.3 billion light years) on Earth. This confirms the existence of black-hole binary mergers, and further, opens a new field of GW astronomy. We begin our discussion with a list of important GW sources that can be detectable on Earth by large-scale laser interferometers such as LIGO. Focusing on compact objects such as neutron stars and black holes, we then discuss possible research in the context of GW astronomy. By coordinating with existing observatories, searching for electromagnetic waves or particles from astronomical objects, around the world, multi-messenger astronomy for the universe's most cataclysmic phenomena (e.g. gamma-ray bursts) will be available in the near future.
