DVM 및 Z-Map 복합모델을 이용한 금형의 모의가공 (Cutting Simulation of Mold & Die via Hybrid Model of DVM and Z-Map)

  • Geometric cutting-simulation and verification play an important role in detecting NC machining errors in mold & die manufacturing and thereby reducing correcting time & cost on the shop floor. Current researches in the area may be categorized into view-based, solid-based, and discrete vector-based methods mainly depending on workpiece models. Each methodology has its own strengths and weaknesses in terms of computing speed, representation accuracy, and its ability of numerical inspection. The paper proposes a hybrid modeling scheme for workpiece representation with z-map model and discrete vector model, which performs 3-axis and 5-axis cutting-simulation via tool swept surface construction by connecting a sequence of silhouette curves.

태양열/공기열 복합 집열기를 가지는 하이브리드 히트펌프 시스템의 열성능에 관한 연구 (Study on the Thermal Performance of a Solar Assisted Heat Pump System with a Hybrid Collector)

  • In the present work, a solar assisted heat pump (SAHP) system with a hybrid collector was analyzed. For this, a simplified thermodynamic model was developed. Based on the proposed model, the heat transfer rate, COP, and the annual operating hour of the SAHP system were estimated. The effect of the variation of system design parameters on the performance of the system was also examined. From the results, the performance was improved with increasing the effectiveness of heat exchangers and decreasing the difference between the evaporation temperature and the outlet brine temperature of the hybrid collector loop. Finally, the performance of SAHP system with a hybrid collector was compared with that of conventional serial and parallel SAHP systems. The SAHP system with a hybrid collector was substantially better than a series system and slightly worse than a parallel system for both the yearly averaged heat transfer rate and COP. However, the annual operating hour of the SAHP system with a hybrid collector was much better than that of a parallel system.

  • This paper presents a study conducted with the aim of developing a model of tendering based on a technique of artificial intelligence by managing and controlling the factors of success or failure of construction projects through the evaluation of the process of invitation to tender. Aiming to solve this problem, analysis of the current environment based on SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) is first carried out. Analysis was evaluated through a case study of the construction projects in Algeria, to bring about the internal and external factors which affect the process of invitation to tender related to the construction projects. This paper aims to develop a mean to identify threats-opportunities and strength-weaknesses related to the environment of various national construction projects, leading to the decision on whether to continue the project or not. Following a SWOT analysis, novel artificial intelligence models in forecasting the project status are proposed. The basic principal consists in interconnecting the different factors to model this phenomenon. An artificial neural network model is first proposed, followed by a model based on fuzzy logic. A third model resulting from the combination of the two previous ones is developed as a hybrid model. A simulation study is carried out to assess performance of the three models showing that the hybrid model is better suited in forecasting the construction project status than RNN (recurrent neural network) and FL (fuzzy logic) models.

발전부문 하이브리드 모형을 사용한 기후변화 정책효과 분석 (Climate Change Policy Analysis Considering Bottom-up Electricity Generation System)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 하향식 모형을 기반으로 전력부문에 한하여 상향식 모형의 요소를 적용함으로써 전원구성 및 전원계획을 고려할 수 있는 하이브리드 모형을 개발하였다. 여기서 개발된 모형은 기존의 모형과 달리 개별적인 규모에 대한 수확체감 생산함수로 각각의 발전기술(원자력, 중유, 가스, 신재생 등)을 표현하였고 이것의 합산으로써 전력부문을 모사하고 있다. 하이브리드 모형과 기존의 하향식 모형을 동일한 시나리오 하에서 비교할 때 하이브리드 모형을 통한 감축비용 결과값이 기존의 하향식 모형과 비교해서 더 낮았다. 이는 상향식 모형이 추가될 경우 감축비용이 더 낮게 계산된다는 기존의 연구결과에 부합되는 것이다. 추가로 중복규제의 효과에 대해서도 살펴보았는데, 배출규제에 의무할당제가 추가될 경우 배출규제만 있을 때에 비해 전체적인 감축비용은 소폭 증가하고 석탄 발전 등 배출집약도가 높은 발전기술을 사용하는 전원의 비중은 비슷하거나 증가하는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. 향후 전력 관련 공학적 자료가 더욱 충실히 갖추어진다면 본 연구에서 개발된 하이브리드 모형은 실제 정책의 파급효과를 추정하기 위한 유용한 도구로 이용될 수 있을 것이다.

하이브리드 로켓의 연소특성 해석 (Analysis for Combustion Characteristics of Hybrid Rocket Motor)

  • 하이브리드 연소 시스템은 안정된 작동조건이나 안전성 면에서 많은 장점을 가지고 있는 반면 기존의 하이브리드 모터는 고체 추진 로켓모터보다 낮은 연료 regression율과 연소효율은 갖는 단점이 있다. 따라서 최근의 연구들은 하이브리드 로켓모터의 연소실 체적의 제한과 연료의 regression율을 향상시키는데 그 초점을 맞추고 있다. 본 연구는 하이브리드 로켓 엔진의 연소과정을 수치적으로 해석하였다. 난류연소는 eddy breakup 모델을 이용하였으며 soot의 생성 및 산화를 다루기 위하여 Hiroyasu와 Nagle and Strickland-Constable 모델을 적용하였다. 복사열전달은 유한체적법을 이용하여 계산하였으며 고체 연료 벽면에서의 분출 효과로 야기되는 대류열전달의 불확실성을 줄이기 위하여 낮은 레이놀즈 수 $\kappa-\varepsilon$ 난류모델을 적용하였다. 계산된 수치결과를 토대로 선회 유동을 가지는 하이브리드 로켓 엔진의 난류연소과정에 대하여 상세히 기술하였다.

3D/1D 하이브리드 유한요소 모델을 이용한 동력 분산형 차세대 고속열차 전체차량의 충돌 해석 (Collision Analysis of the Next Generation High-speed EMU Using 3D/1D Hybrid FE Model)

  • In this paper, collision analysis of the full rake for the Next Generation High-speed EMU is conducted using a 3D/1D hybrid model, which combines 3-dimensional (3D) front-end structure of finite element model and 1-dimensional (1D) multi-body dynamics model in order to analyze train collision with a standard 3D deformable obstacle. The crush forces, passengers' accelerations and energy absorptions of a full rake train can be easily obtained through a simulation of a 1D dynamics model composed of nonlinear springs, dampers and masses. Also the obtained simulation results are very similar to those of a 3D model if an overriding behavior does not occur during collision. The standard obstacle in TSI regulation has been changed from a rigid body to a deformable body, and therefore 3D collision simulations should be conducted because their simulation results depends on the front-end structure of a train. According to the obstacle collision analysis of this study, the obstacle collides with the driver's upper structure after overriding over the front-end module. The 3D/1D hybrid model is effective to evaluate a main energy-absorbing module that is frequently changed during design process and reduce the need time of the modeling and analysis when compared to a 3D full car body.

Electric Model of Li-Ion Polymer Battery for Motor Driving Circuit in Hybrid Electric Vehicle

  • This paper presents an equivalent circuit model of a LIPB (Li-Ion Polymer battery) for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs). The proposed equivalent circuit can be used to predict the charging/discharging characteristics in time domain as well as the impedance characteristic analysis in frequency domain. Based on these features, a one-cell model is established as a function of Depth of Discharge (DoD), and a 48-cell model for a battery pack was also established. It was confirmed by experiment that the proposed model predict the discharging and impedance (AC) characteristics quite accurately at different constant current levels. To check the usefulness of the proposed circuit, the model was used to simulate a motor driving circuit with an Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) inverter and Brushless DC (BLDC) motor, and it is confirmed that the model can calculate the battery voltage fluctuation in time domain at different DoDs.

복합음이온 교환섬유의 플라스마 산화 처리한 NO의 흡착특성 (Adsorption Properties of Oxidized NO by Plasma Using Hybrid Anion-Exchange Fibers)

  • 본 연구에서는 아민화 polyolefin-g-GMA 복합음이온 교환섬유를 이용하여 플라스마 산화된 NO의 흡착특성을 고찰하였다. 플라스마 산화에 의한 $NO_2$ 전환율은 NO 200 ppm, 산소 10%, 유속 30 L/min 일 때 최대 49% 이었다. 또한 복합음이온 교환섬유의 $NO_2$ 흡착량은 함수율이 높을수록 증가하였고 함수율이 최대 1.5 g $H_2O/g$ IEF 이었으며, 복합음이온 교환섬유의 $NO_2$ 흡착은 10 분까지 빠르게 진행되었고 120 분에서 최대 80% 흡착되었다. 이온교환 용량은 함수율이 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며, 흡착컬럼 충전 비가 L/D=5에서 0.6 mmol/g IEF로 가장 높았다. 또한 이온교환 섬유의 흡착은 Langmuir 등온흡착 모델보다 Freundlich 등온흡착 모델에 가까웠으며, 다분자층에서의 흡착이 우세하게 발생한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

승용차량의 중주파수 대역 구조기인 소음예측을 위한 FE-SEA 하이브리드 모델 개발 (Development of FE-SEA Hybrid Model for the Prediction of Vehicle Structure-borne Noise at Mid-frequencies)

  • Vehicle simulation models for noise and vibration prediction have been developed so far generally in two schemes. One is FE models generally used for problems below 200 Hz such as booming noise, and the other is SEA models for high frequencies of more than 1 kHz, representatively related to sound packages. There have been many researches to develop a simulation model for 200~1000 Hz, so-called mid-frequency region, and this paper shows one practical result that covers the trimmed body of a sedan vehicle. The simulation model is developed based on an FE model, and then FE elements at some areas are substituted with SEA elements to reduce DOFs. SEA panels are described by modal density, radiation efficiency, stiffness and damping characteristics that are found from some numerical assessments. Sound packages are modeled similarly as a conventional SEA model. The results obtained from the hybrid model were compared to experimental results. Predicted pressure and vibrational velocity generally show a good agreement. The developed simulation model and related technology are successfully being used in vehicle development process.
