클럽 패션 스타일 분석 및 디자인 개발 - 홍대 강남 지역 비교를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Club Fashion Styles for Designing Clubber Fashion - Focusing on the Hongdae and Kangnam Club Areas -)

  • The club culture is not something unified. Rather, it is a group of subcultures which share intertwined areas. And it keeps its own dress code, dance style, music genre along with series of authoritarian and unlawful rituals. For young adults, a club is a new cultural space to enjoy in reasonable price and they can express themselves without thinking much about others. A club creates its unique mass culture by producing continuously changing and experimental fashion styles. As the club culture’s influence becomes powerful, the club market was established and experimental fashion styles are wide spread among general public, young adults who try to express their unique characters and even fashion-leading industry. The study results are as follows. First, dance club and its derivative, rave is symbolic axles and the center of social activity. They are also defined as culture which is related to specific space that continues to present and change sound and style. Second, the definition of clubber in a dictionary is club member or a person who is united with others. Third, based upon clubbers' fashion styles in Hongdae and Kang-nam areas, there are 5 different images including sexy casual, lingerie, dynamic, chic style and feminine style. Fourth, based upon case study above, to take unique life style of fashionista that leads fashion with trendy fashion style into account, we suggested five designs which are unique, sensitive and trendy. Fifth, through analyzing clubber generation and design factors of clubbers' fashion style combined with various trend, unique brand was developed to meet the demands of clubbers who want differentiated images and leading styles.

  • 다상유체의 작동에 의해서 그 기능을 수행하는 산업기계는 매우 광범위하게 이용된다. 이들 중 일부는 서로 분리된 2상 유체가 반대방향으로 흐르는 특성을 이용하고 있다. 서로 반대방향으로 흐르는 액체상과 기체상의 최대 유량은 역류유동제한 현상으로 제한된다. 이상유동의 질량 및 운동량 보존 방정식을 세우고 쌍곡선형 방정식이 시스템의 특성방정식으로부터 역류유동제한 현상을 예측할 수 있는 모델을 개발하였다. 현재의 모델은 액체상 유입부의 기하학적 모양이 수직이거나 이와 유사한 형태로 되어 있어서 주변에 비등류가 형성되는 경우에 적용된다. 이 모델은 액체와 기체 사이의 질량전달을 일으키는 기계에 대한 유체역학적 운전제한 조건으로 이용될 수 있다.

3,4,5-Trihydroxycinnamic Acid Inhibits LPS-Induced iNOS Expression by Suppressing NF-${\kappa}B$ Activation in BV2 Microglial Cells

  • Although various derivatives of caffeic acid have been reported to possess a wide variety of biological activities such as neuronal protection against excitotoxicity and anti-inflammatory property, the biological activity of 3,4,5-trihydroxycinnamic acid (THC), a derivative of hydroxycinnamic acids, has not been clearly examined. The objective of the present study is to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effects of THC on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated BV2 microglial cells. THC significantly suppressed LPS-induced excessive production of nitric oxide (NO) and expression of iNOS, which is responsible for the production of iNOS. THC also suppressed LPS-induced overproduction of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-$1{\beta}$and TNF-${\alpha}$ in BV2 microgilal cells. Furthermore, THC significantly suppressed LPS-induced degradation of $I{\kappa}B$, which retains NF-${\kappa}B$ in the cytoplasm. Therefore, THC attenuated nuclear translocation of NF-${\kappa}B$, a major pro-inflammatory transcription factor. Taken together, the present study for the first time demonstrates that THC exhibits antiinflammatory activity through the suppression of NF-${\kappa}B$ transcriptional activation in LPS-stimulated BV2 microglial cells.

수치해석적 토지이용-교통모형의 이론연구 도구화: 교통수요의 내생화를 중심으로 (A Numerical Analysis of Land Use-Transportation Model as a Form of Analytical Tool)

  • 토지이용-교통 통합모형은 실증연구와 정책연구에 적합한 풍부하고 유연한 모형요소를 가지고 있다. 그러나 모형의 구성이 복잡한 만큼 후생함수의 정책변수에 대한 변화율 또한 통상 복잡하다. 따라서 최적 정책수단이 충족시켜야 할 1계 도함수 조건을 푸는 최적 정책수단의 수식을 명시적으로 유도하는 것이 매우 어렵고, 그 결과 수치해석적 모형은 이론연구 도구로서 활용하는데 근본적 한계를 가지고 있었다. 이 문제를 해결하고자 Yu and Rhee(2011) 및 Rhee (2012)는 이들 모형에서 목적함수인 후생함수의 정책변수에 대한 변화율을 간단한 수식으로 변환하는 방법론을 제시한 바 있다. 그러나 이들이 사용한 모형에서 교통수요는 고정된 것으로 가정하고 있어, 이들 모형 또한 교통 계획적 관점에서 보았을 때 상당한 한계를 지니고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 이들의 방법론을 교통수요가 탄력적인 토지이용-교통 모형으로 확장한다. 이 방법론을 이용하면 보다 현실적인 모습의 토지시장과 교통망이 구현된 모형에서 정책수단의 다양한 영향을 분석할 수 있게 된다. 이러한 분석은 종래에 존재하지 않았거나 있었다 하더라도 매우 제한된 범위에서 수행되었던 분석들이다.

  • The phytochemical investigation of the crude methanolic extracts roots and stem bark of Anthonotha cladantha (Harms) J.Léonard led to the isolation and identification of twelve secondary metabolites: 2,3-dihydroxypropyl hexacosanoate (1), hederagenine (2), cycloeucalenol (3), 2α-hydroxylupeol (4), betulinic acid (5), lupeol (6), heptacosan-2-one (7), triacontanoic acid (8), stigmast-4-en-3-one (9), β-sitosterol (10), stigmasterol (11), and stigmasterol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (12). Their structures were elucidated with the help of their spectroscopic and physical data and by comparison with those reported in the literature. To the best of our knowledge, from all those compounds, 2,3-dihydroxypropyl hexacosanoate (1), hederagenine (2), cycloeucalenol (3), 2α-hydroxylupeol (4), and betulinic acid (5) are being reported for the first time from this genus. In addition, the acetylation of compound 1 afforded a new derivative 3-(hexacosanoyloxy)propane-1,2-diyl diacetate (1a). Compound 1 possessed a moderate α-glucosidase inhibitory activity with an IC50 value of 39.2 ± 0.22 μM; it neither showed antioxidant activity nor inhibition against the enzyme urease. Compound 1a exhibited weak antioxidant activity in the DPPH assay with an IC50 value of 80.3 ± 0.83 μM but was inactive against α-glucosidase and urease. Furthermore, both compounds 1 and 1a were inactive against seven pathogenic bacterial strains.

Non-Destructive Sorting Techniques for Viable Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) Seeds Using Fourier Transform Near-Infrared and Raman Spectroscopy

  • Purpose: This study examined the performance of two spectroscopy methods and multivariate classification methods to discriminate viable pepper seeds from their non-viable counterparts. Methods: A classification model for viable seeds was developed using partial least square discrimination analysis (PLS-DA) with Fourier transform near-infrared (FT-NIR) and Raman spectroscopic data in the range of $9080-4150cm^{-1}$ (1400-2400 nm) and $1800-970cm^{-1}$, respectively. The datasets were divided into 70% to calibration and 30% to validation. To reduce noise from the spectra and compare the classification results, preprocessing methods, such as mean, maximum, and range normalization, multivariate scattering correction, standard normal variate, and $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ derivatives with the Savitzky-Golay algorithm were used. Results: The classification accuracies for calibration using FT-NIR and Raman spectroscopy were both 99% with first derivative, whereas the validation accuracies were 90.5% with both multivariate scattering correction and standard normal variate, and 96.4% with the raw data (non-preprocessed data). Conclusions: These results indicate that FT-NIR and Raman spectroscopy are valuable tools for a feasible classification and evaluation of viable pepper seeds by providing useful information based on PLS-DA and the threshold value.

Analysis of polyphenolic metabolites from Artemisia gmelinii Weber ex Stechm. and regional comparison in Korea

  • Artemisia species are widely used as food ingredients and raw material in traditional medicine. However, to date, the secondary metabolites of Artemisia gmelinii Weber ex Stechm. have not been sufficiently investigated. The secondary metabolites of A. gmelinii, which was collected from representative regions in Chungbuk, Gangwon, and Gyeongbuk, were analyzed using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-QTof MS) combined with an unsupervised principal component analysis (PCA) multivariate analysis. In the loading scatter plot of PCA, significant changes in metabolites were observed between the regions, ten metabolites (3: 5-O-caffeoylquinic acid, 4: 4-O-caffeoylquinic acid, 8: trans-melilotoside, 12: quercetin 3-O-hexoside, 15: 3,4-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid, 17: 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid, 18: 4,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid, 19: syringaldehyde, 20: caffeoylquinic acid derivative, and 23: icariside II) were evaluated as key markers among twenty-five identified metabolites. Interestingly, the contents of the identified marker significantly differed between the three groups. This is the first study to report the presence of marker metabolites and their correlating geographical cultivation in A. gmelinii.

기계시각에 의한 풋고추 자동 선별시스템 개발 (Development of Automatic Sorting System for Green pepper Using Machine Vision)

  • Production of green pepper has been increased due to customer's preference and a projected ten-year boom in the industry in Korea. This study was carried out to develop an automatic grading and sorting system for green pepper using machine vision. The system consisted of a feeding mechanism, segregation section, an image inspection chamber, image processing section, system control section, grading section, and discharging section. Green peppers were separated and transported using a bowl feeder with a vibrator and a belt conveyor, respectively. Images were taken using color CCD cameras and a color frame grabber. An on-line grading algorithm was developed using Visual C/C++. The green peppers could be graded into four classes by activating air nozzles located at the discharging section. Length and curvature of each green pepper were measured while removing a stem of it. The first derivative of thickness profile was used to remove a stem area of segmented image of the pepper. While pepper is moving at 0.45 m/s, the accuracy of grading sorting for large, medium and small pepper are 86.0%, 81.3% and 90.6% respectively. Sorting performance was 121 kg/hour, and about five times better than manual sorting. The developed system was also economically feasible to grade and sort green peppers showing the cost about 40% lower than that of manual operations.

진행성 위암 환자에서 Heptaplatin과 5-Fluorouracil 복합요법의 임상효과 (Clinical Effects of the Combination Chemotherapy of Heptaplatin and 5-Fluorouracil in Advanced Gastric Cancer)

  • Heptaplatin is a new platinum derivative with antitumor activity against gastric cancer. Preclinical studies showed that it is less toxic than other platinum analogues. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of the combination therapy of heptaplatin and 5-fluorouracil in Korean advanced gastric cancer patients. This study was investigated retrospectively. The patients group consisted of 65 advanced gastric cancer patients with no prior radiotherapy. All patients received heptaplatin $400\;mg/m^2$ by 2-3 hour infusion on Day 1 and 5-FU $1000\;mg/m^2by 12-24 hour continuous infusion for 5 days. After the first cycle, subsequent doses were adjusted according to the toxicity. Courses were repeated every 28 days. As results, objective response occurred in 16 patients $(24.6\%)$. Two were complete and 14 were partial response. Median progression free survival was 32 weeks with $29\%$ of patients progression free at 1 year. The most common hematologic toxicity was anemia. Grade 3 or 4 anemia was seen at $2.7\%$ of treatment cycles. Grade 3 or higher leucopenia was seen at $1.2\%$ of cycles. Grade 3 or 4 neutropenia and thrombocytopenia occurred at $6.1\%\;and\;1.5\%$ of cycles, respectively. The most common nonhematologic toxicity was proteinuria. Though no patients experienced grade 3 or 4 proteinuria, proteinuria was a considerable factor for this chemotherapy. Grade 3 or higher gastrointestinal toxicities were nausea and vomiting ($4.6\%$ of patients) and diarrhea ($1.5\%$ of patients). Grade 2 renal toxicity with elevation of serum creatinine was seen in $0.3\%$ of cycles, which is less than that of other platinum analogues. This study showed that combination therapy of heptaplatin and 5-FU have modest antitumor activity against advanced gastric cancer without severe renal toxicity.

Multi-Biosensor를 이용한 축산폐수의 생물화학적 산소요구량 실시간 측정방법 연구 (On-Line Measurement of Biochemical Oxygen Demand of livestock Wastewater by Multi-Biosensor System)

  • 용존산소 센서 및 시스템에서 손실되는 산소량을 보정하기 위해 멸균처리 기법을 도입하였다. 멸균처리 시료의 DO 거동과 비멸균처리 시료의 DO 거동차(${\Delta}$DO)는 시스템의 영향과 무관하게 폐수 자체의 순수한 미생물만이 소모하는 산소변화량을 구하였다. 용존산소 센서로 축산폐수의 시간에 따른 DO거동(-d${\Delta}$DO/dt)을 측정하여 구한 폐수 자체의 미생물에 의한 산소소모속도는 0.00074mg $O_2/{\ell}{\cdot}sec$이었다. 축산폐수의 원액을 희석하여 다양한 BOD값을 갖도록 시료를 제조한 후 DO meter로 측정하여 구한 DO 변화량은 동일한 시료를 5일 BOD 측정방법인 Winkler Azide화 변법으로 구한 BOD값과 선형구간($30{\sim}60$분)에서 97.72%의 높은 상관 선형성을 보였다. 따라서 본 연구의 multi-biosensor 시스템은 축산폐수의 BOD를 짧은 시간에 정확하게 측정할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다.
