This study investigated the differences in the importance of store characteristics depending on on-line clothing store type and consumer age. The questionnaires were given to female residents in the ages between 20-39 in Seoul and Kyung-gi province during October 2006. The results were summarized as follows: 1. By analyzing the differences in importances of on-line store characteristics factors it was found that buying process service factor and product searching system factor were important in on-line general merchandise store. and buying process service factor and product factor(all the factors, such as store credit, product, screen-displayed design, searching and approaching system, customer management service) were important in on-line specialty store. 2. By analyzing the differences in importances of on-line store characteristics depending on the store type, buying process system such as refund policy, shipping, high-speed payment and rapid searching, screen-displayed design system, approaching and searching system were more important in on-line general merchandise store when comparing to specialty store. It also showed that the consumer considered the reputation of the store and its image more important in on-line general merchandise store. 3. By analyzing the differences in of on-line clothing store importance depending on age, in the case of on-line general merchandise store, it showed that people in their thirties regarded buying process service factor more important than twenties, and when it came to the product and searching system, it was vice versa. Twenties had a tendency to consider the aspect of product important and, relatively, thirties regarded searching and approaching system factor important. in the case of specialty store. It was found that women in their twenties had a tendency to consider product factor more important.

Women's perceptions of body size and body image are important topics for researchers in multiple fields. The terms body image or body self refer to perceptions and beliefs that an individual holds about his or her body (Rosenbaum, 1979; Schilder, 1953). Few studies have focused on body image perceptions as they relate to parent-child pairs. This study investigated the perceptions that mothers and daughters each had of their own body, the other's body, and their ideals for the same. The purposive sample used in this study consisted of 41 mother-daughter pairs. The sampled focus was girls between ages 9 and 14, and their mothers. Significant differences between how mothers saw their daughters and how daughters saw themselves emerged only for the plus size group. The clearest significant difference between mothers and daughters was in their dissatisfaction with themselves. The mothers were more dissatisfied. flus-size girls were significantly more dissatisfied with their mothers' bodies than normal size girls were with their mothers' bodies. The mothers of plus size girls were significantly more dissatisfied with their daughters' bodies than were the mothers of normal size daughters.
In this study a series of approaches have been made to find out how complaining behavior would show according to the conviction in the locus of control as to where the general contents dissatisfied by consumers and the dissatisfied consumers would place the responsibility for the consequence of behavior and to test the difference of complaining behavior pursuant to demographic variables and the complaining behavior. The results of this study are described as follows: 1. The consumers have largely attributed the locus of responsibility for their dissatisfaction following the purchase of refrigerators to the relevant manufacturers, advertizers, consumer(herself) and distributors, and as for the dissatisfaction by an attribute of refrigerator, a high level of dissatisfaction was revealed on the price and items of properties. 2. There was no difference in the complaining behavior of consumers pursuant to the demographic features. 3. It was revealed that there wee many consumers, among those respondents to questionnaires, who have actually shown their complaing behavior, while most of them would act inthe form o private behavior, because the cases of acting positive way of public behavior, even though they were apt to show complaining behavior, appears to be extremely rare. 4. A significant difference was shown in the complaing behavior pursuant to the conviction in the locus of control.
The purpose of this research is to find out ways of disposing unused cloths focusing on the environmental protection. To achieve its aim, previous researches are studied and simultaneously a survey has been done for housewives in Taejeon city. Collected data have been analyzed by the SPSS program. The result of this research is as follows. On the questions concerning planned clothes buying, meaningful differences are obtained according to their ages, degrees of education, occupations, patterns of housing. On the period wearing cloths, meaningful difference is shown only by the age. the first reason for disposing of unused cloths is that the cloths become unfit for the body, second is that the designs or colors become so old that the consumer does not like it any more. On the ways of currently disposing of unused cloths are very much different from on the ways of desirable disposal of unused cloths. On the questions of recycling, the experience of wearing used cloths given by others is high. On the question of 'what would you do if you were given used cloths?', the commonest answer is 'I would wear them because it would be beneficial economically.', 'I wouldn't wear them.', 'I would wear them because it would be any help for resource frugality or pollution prevention'. On the question of the experience of getting used cloths voluntarily, 38.1 percentage of pollees has answered yes, 62 percentage no.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the evaluation of regional antagonism in children and adolescents in Youngnam and Honam region. There were 684 subjects included in this study from three ages in the Youngnam and Honam regions: 12.8 years(6th grade, n=208), 14.8 years(8th grade, n=211), and 16.9 years(10th grade, n=265). Of the 684 subject, 357(53.3%) were boys and 327(47.8%) were girls. The instruments consisted of subjects' self-reported social distance, stereotype, and prejudice. The data were analyzed by frequencies, t-test, one-way ANOVA and the $Scheff\'{e}$ test. Major findings were as follows: The mean score of the out-group stereotype was greater than the median, so the in-group preference was greater than the out-group exclusion. The in-group stereotype was different based on the age and the sex. The 6th and 8th graders and the boys were higher than 10th and the girls. The prejudice was different based on the lesion. The social distance was different based on the age and the region.
The purpose at this study was to analyze and to position the clothing images at women's formal wear brands carried by at least two department stores in Daejon, for providing data for a basic marketing strategy for fashion manufacturers and distributors. The results tram the study were as tallows; The brand that showed the highest classic image was 'BCBG'(83.6%), the brand that showed the highest feminine image was 'Obzee' (80.2%), the brand that showed the highest character image was 'Doho' (84.1%), and the brand that showed the highest mannish image was 'F.Station' (64.1%). On the brands image positioning map, brands, such as 'Deco', 'Mine', 'Time', and 'Anne Klein', lying on or near the point of intersection (where the vertical and horizontal axes meet) showed 4 types. They were 'smart & chic cluster', 'charming & luxury cluster', 'character elegance cluster', and 'sportive elegance cluster' that showed compound images. These clusters would be differentiated tram young casual lines by emphasizing the brands' shape and cut, higher quality fabrics and materials, and elegant and graceful colors. Analysis of target ages and tweed jacket prices for brands carried by at least two department stores showed that the target was between 23 and 50, and that the prices range from 198,000 won to 460,000 won.
The purpose of this study was to identify the predictable variables of criteria on clothing selection. Relationships among criteria on clothing selection, psychological variable, lifestyle variable, and demographic variable were tested by Pearsons' correlation coefficients and One-way ANOVA. The predictors of criteria on clothing selection were identified by Regression. The consumers were classified into several benefit-segments by criteria on clothing selection, and then, the character of each segment were identified by Multiple Discriminant Analysis. Data was obtained from 593 women living in Pusan by self-administered questionnaires. The results of the study were as follows; 1. Relationship between criteria on clothing selection and relative variables. 1) The important variables to criteria on clothing selection were "down-to-earth-sophisticated", "traditional-morden", "conventional-different", "conscientious-expendient", need for exhibitionism, need for sex, fashion / appearance. 2) The important factor of clothing selection criteria was comfort and it has significant difference among ages. 3) The higher of social-economic status have the more appearance-oriented selection. 2. Predictors of criteria on clothing selection. There were several important predictors of criteria on clothing selection like lifestyle, need, and self-image. Especially, fashion / appearance in lifestyle variable was very important. 3. Segmentation by the criteria on clothing selection. There are four groups Classified by the criteria on clothing selection, that is practical-oriented group, appearance-oriented group, practical and appearance-oriented group, and indifference group. The significant discriminative variables were Fashion / appearance factor, need for exhibitionism, and need for sex. The result of this study can be used for a enterprise to analysis the consumer and to build the strategy of advertisement clothing.
This study was initiated to study suitability of the apparel sizing systems that utilized in women's ready-to-wear market. To achieve this, the researchers surveyed 383 women from the ages of 18 through 59. The result of this study are followed. 1) The targeted age of the apparel brand does not always correspond with the purchaser's age. The subjects tend to prefer the brands targeting younger women than their age. The women who prefer the brand targeting younger women than their age were less satisfied with the jacket size available in Korean apparel market. They also took into consideration their body size. 2) The subjects who prefer the brands aimed for younger women were dissatisfied with fit at waist and hips. 3) The result of this study also shows that the more sizes are needed for short and tall women. The subjects pointed out that hips of the pants gave worst fit. 4) KS standard size designation system which listed body measurements bust-hips stature was not well known to the consumers.
This research examined the residents' behavior in using space, focusing on the kitchen area where there was the most change, in order to understand the transition of living culture through the ages. The following findings were obtained: 1) Today's apartment residents prefer 'Island' style which is located a separate counter and work space. Thus the kitchen m is now being recognized as a place spacious, and where the whole family can participate. 2) The usage of the kitchen is not only limited to cooking or keeping household goods but also broadened to washing, private life, happy home circle, inviting guests etc. Especially, family union or inviting guests in the kitchen is more frequent as the houses become larger, private refreshment or reading in the kitchen is proportional to income and to people living in homes where the kitchen and dining room is divided independent 3) Looking at the dietary life styles of today's apartment residents, there are more well-being type and tradition type than prosessed type. This trend is portional to the resident's standard of education and the size of the apartment, thus making a significant influence.

This study analyzes the effects of the three types of flexible work arrangements (part-time, flexitime, and reduced working hours for childcare) available in Korea on work-family conflict, facilitation, and job satisfaction for married working women ages 15-49. The study employs a panel analysis based on the first to the fourth data from the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women & Families (KLoWF). The major results are as follows. First, the availability of part-time jobs and reduced working hours to facilitate childcare is significantly related to work-family conflict for married women. If a married woman is employed in a part-time position or if reduced working hours for childcare are available, the conflict within the family caused by the job is reduced. Second, none of the three types of flexible work arrangements have a statistically significant influence on work-family facilitation for married women. Third, the availability of reduced working hours for childcare has a positive effect on the job satisfaction of married women. In conclusion, flexible working hours for women who are raising children are the main factor in reducing the negative effect of a job on a woman's family life as they contribute to work and family compatibility.
