  • In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the importance of data is intensifying, but there are many cases where it is not easy to use data due to personal information protection. Although criminal justice information is expected to have various useful values such as crime prediction and prevention, scientific investigation of criminal investigations, and rationalization of sentencing, the use of criminal justice information is currently limited as a matter of legal interpretation related to privacy protection and criminal justice information. This study proposed to convert criminal justice information into 'crime data' and use it as big data through the structuralization and categorization of criminal justice information. And when using "crime data," legal issues, value in use, considerations for data generation and use were verified by experts, and future strategic development plans were identified. Finally we found that 'crime data' seems to have solved the privacy problem, but it is necessary to specify in the criminal justice information related law and it is urgent to be organized in a standardized form for analysis to use big data. Future directions are to derive data elements, construct a dictionary thesaurus, define and classify personal sensitive information for data grading, and develop algorithms for shaping unstructured data.

  • After industrialization in the past, the automobile industry has continued to grow centered on internal combustion engines, but is facing a major change with the recent 4th industrial revolution. Most companies are preparing for the transition to electric vehicles and autonomous driving. Therefore, in this study, topic modeling was performed based on LDA algorithm by collecting 4,002 domestic papers and 68,372 overseas papers that contain keywords related to CASE (Connectivity, Autonomous, Sharing, Electrification), which represent future automobile trends. As a result of the analysis, it was found that domestic research mainly focuses on macroscopic aspects such as traffic infrastructure, urban traffic efficiency, and traffic policy. Through this, the government's technical support for MaaS (Mobility-as-a-Service) is required in the domestic shared car sector, and the need for data opening by means of transportation was presented. It is judged that these analysis results can be used as basic data for the future automobile industry.

  • The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries prepared the sixth industrialization certification system to increase the added value in the agricultural sector, but it is a bit hard to judge that the system has been in the stage of creating sufficient added value. In particular, because of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, there is a significant change in all industry sectors, including innovation in technology, and the change of perception among the society members is being rapidly changed toward the corporate sector's social role. Thus, we surveyed companies that received the sixth industrialization enterprise certificate to address this phenomenon and find clues on how to be competitive. We selected 800 companies certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as sixth industrialization enterprises as our study samples. Among them, we subjected 275 respondents to a final analysis upon eliminating incomplete responses. The result of the study revealed that entrepreneurship, including autonomy that reflects the characteristics of the certified companies, had a significant positive impact on economic value. Moreover, with the size of the companies certified as the sixth industrialization enterprise and the industry trend toward the innovative Fourth Industrial Revolution considered, the strategic orientation including the customer orientation to intensively focus on customer needs and the technology orientation to accept technology as a competitive sector even in the agricultural industry was found to have a significant positive effect on economic value. Strategic orientation demonstrated a significant positive effect on social value. Entrepreneurship demonstrated a significant positive effect on economic values but did not significantly affect the social value. Lastly, while strategic orientation has demonstrated that no mediation effect resulted due to a high direct effect between entrepreneurship and economic value, a complete mediation effect occurred between entrepreneurship and social value. Based on this study, if the companies that received the sixth industrialization enterprise certificate are equipped with not only entrepreneurship but also strategic orientation for customer-oriented thinking and response to technological changes, they can become an influential element in creating not only economic value but also social value, which is emphasized as an element of sustainability.

  • The national economic policy paradigm is constantly changing according to the global business environment. Among them, fostering SMEs is a core policy of many developed countries. The growth of SMEs contributes to the creation of jobs and the development of local communities in the era of employment-free growth. In particular, the growth of SMEs is the foundation for growth into mid-sized and large enterprises. Therefore, the growth of SMEs plays an important role in the national economy. Information and communication technology (ICT) became important much more with the emergence of the 4th industrial revolution. Among them, the growth of ICT SMEs is the nation's future asset. Therefore, this study examines and verifies the main factors affecting the performance of ICT SMEs from the view of their R&D resources. On the basis of 1,999 SMEs dataset, empirical analysis was performed to investigate the influence of R&D resources on their corporate performance. Its results are as follows. First, based on theresource-based theory, ICT SMEs' R&D investment, R&D manpower, and government support policies were found to have a positive effect on securing a company's competitive advantage. Second, it was found that the level of product has a positive effect on the company's performance. Finally, it was found that M&A and technology acquisition method strategies differ according to the growth stage of the company. Therefore, in order to achieve technological innovation and corporate performance of ICT SMEs, the government support policy and investment into internal R&D personnel play as main factors. • In this age of the $4^{th}$ industrial revolution, we, science educators, are giving more light on students' agentic behavior in the process of educating future scientist. This study, with the analytic lens of epistemic agency, explores the key stages of a student-driven R&E program rather than the scientist-led R&E program. It also examines to understand the emergence of students' epistemic agency in each stage of R&E. Data from participant observation for 18 months and in-depth interviews were collected and analyzed with the constant comparative method of grounded theory. This study identifies and describes five key stages of student-driven R&E: The stage of exploring research theme, designing research, performing lab activity, interpreting results, and communicating research. It also finds that (a) students' epistemic agency emerged with the constant interactions with the R&E structure; (b) students' epistemic agency has deep relations with the epistemic beliefs of the students; (c) students positioned themselves as decision-makers in the R&E practice; (d) the redistributed power and authority of the R&E contributed to the emergence of students' epistemic agency.

  • Many new technologies are studied with the arrival of the 4th industrial revolution. In particular, emotional intelligence is one of the popular issues. Researchers are focused on emotional analysis studies for music services, based on artificial intelligence and pattern recognition. However, they do not consider how we recommend proper music according to the specific emotion of the user. This is the practical issue for music-related IoT applications. Thus, in this paper, we propose an probability-based music emotion classification technique that makes it possible to classify music with high precision based on the range of emotion, when developing music related services. For user emotion recognition, one of the popular emotional model, Russell model, is referenced. For the features of music, the average amplitude, peak-average, the number of wavelength, average wavelength, and beats per minute were extracted. Multiple regressions were derived using regression analysis based on the collected data, and probability-based emotion classification was carried out. In our 2 different experiments, the emotion matching rate shows 70.94% and 86.21% by the proposed technique, and 66.83% and 76.85% by the survey participants. From the experiment, the proposed technique generates improved results for music classification.

  • With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, destructive technologies have become more frequent and companies are facing difficulties in survival with existing technologies, and companies are pursuing the survival or growth of businesses through business diversification as a countermeasure. There is a lack of research on the effects of perceived possibility of policy finance and management support, which act as a driving force of corporate growth, on firm performance. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effect of business diversification on the performance of SMEs. For this study, data were collected from 525 employees of 20 SMEs. Statistical analysis was performed using regression analysis. First, the product diversification and market diversification, which are independent variables of business diversification of SMEs, have a positive (+) influence on firm performance. Second, it is shown that product diversification, which is an independent variable, is controlled by the possibility of perceiving as a controlling variable in the effect of product diversification, which is a dependent variable, while market diversification during business diversification is not controlled by perception appear. This analysis suggests that SMEs need product diversification to create corporate performance. After discussing the above conclusions and implications, the direction of the research for the follow - up study was suggested.
