  • In this study, we developed the PATROL teaching and learning model by using digital textbooks in Smart Classrooms to correct the disadvantages of Flipped Classrooms. PATROL is an acronym for Planning, Action, Tracking, Recommending, Ordering, and Leading. In the Planning phase, teachers should make a lesson plan. Next, students take Action by watching online contents and completing assignments in their digital textbook. After that, Tracking is needed to analyze the students' activities and the results. Then, Recommending is used to provide suggested instructional activities to teachers based on that analysis. Next, Ordering requires that students request new materials for class activities. Finally, Leading allows teachers to provide materials at the appropriate level to their students based on the students' learning activities. Applying the PATROL model at two elementary schools resulted in an increase in student-directed speech as well as an increase in the number of group and individual activities. Teachers also had more time to walk around the classroom.

  • The objective of this study is to systematically understand the swiss graphic style and examine the design ideology of designers and the visual features, with the focus on the posters that played the largest role in the formation and settlement of the swiss graphic style. Although through other visual designs such as editorial design, from the outside beyond posters, the swiss graphic style has evolved to exert a large influence around the world, based on the posters that served as the main medium for expression by designers and that were used the most in instigating the public, this study aims to cast light on the swiss graphic style, which has become recognized as the textbook of the graphic design around the world since the mid 20th century. First, the study casts light on the meaning of the creation of the graphic style through the background and the formation process, aiming to examine the visual features of the swiss graphic style and how they are integrated through the posters of Swiss designers. The personal activities and efforts of individual designers contributed significantly to the formation and development of a certain design style; however this study intends to identify the other equally important elements: the underlying social and cultural influence, the legacy of previous design styles and ideologies, the collective enthusiasm of designers, and the active progress of experimental research.

We intended to offer the basic data needed to establish the single health education. So the analysed results are as follows according to the health education model developed by the korean nursing association and health teachers' meeting and the teaching time allotment presented by the teacher's guide book. It's goal is practice in regular class time of the subjects for the time and contents of health education in the 7th elementary curriculum. The total class periods of health education of the 7th elementary curriculum are 229 hours and annual periods of health education per year are an average of 38 hours. The health education of the 7th elementary curriculum is separated into the 9 following subjects: Wise life, Pleasant life, Righteous life, We are 1st grade, Physical education, Science, Social studies, moral education and Practical course. The health education of the 6th elementary curriculum was combined with the units of physical education, but in the 7th curriculum it must be separated by a single, required health subject. The contents of health education of the 7th elementary curriculum is mostly dominated by units of community and environmental health with a total of 55 hours (24%). Therefore, the units of home health and social health, development of physical strength are fairly insignificant. The newly added contents in the 7th curriculum are "pregnancy and child birth, the protection and counterplan from rape, the reasons and prevention of stress, the reasons and the treatment of obesity, the damage of smoking and drinking, etc. According to the result above, we must establish the criteria for each year's health education in the 8th elementary curriculum. The contents of mental health, home health and social health should be revised and added new items. The health education that is separated in some subjects now must be established as a systematically integrated health education.

The findings of this research were as follows: First, as a result of content analysis of the primary science textbooks in the 6th and the 7th national curriculum, the ratio of inquiry process showed the highest frequency, next knowledge and lastly scientific attitude. And the 7th textbooks are greatly emphasized knowledge and science attitude. Second, as a results of the illustration analysis are as follows: There are conspicuous differences in that the illustration number of the 7th science textbooks Is about twice the illustration number of the 6th science textbooks and next, they place more weights on pictures and comics hard to discovery in the 6th science textbooks. Therefore, they have tried to induce the interests of students and heighten their understanding by supplementing the role of illustration presented as picture-centered and increasing its number presented as picture. In the results, although they have improved the problems of the 6th national curriculum a lot through the innovation including the interest induction of pupils through comics, the development of its content presentation method, the gradual change of subject number and the cultivation of curriculum according to the level of enrichment and supplementing types, the 7th science textbooks have fallen short of 6.3%, not around 30% in terms of the reduction in the 7th national curriculum. Accordingly, the 7th science textbooks also can be pointed out to have the problems of too much amount of studying compared to the time per week like the 6th science textbooks.

  • This study intends to compare the structure of contents and the way of developing concepts in mathematics textbooks of south and those of north Korea. After thorough investigations of the textbooks from south and north Korea, the following three characteristics were identified. First, the mathematics textbooks of south Korea tends to spread out contents across several grades, while those of north Korea have a tendency of centralization in terms of locating contents Second, in the textbooks of South Korea, mathematics concepts are permeated through real world situations, and students gradually acquire those concepts mostly through activities. This is different from the approach of the north Korean textbooks in which various problems play a key role in explaining concepts. Third, the main strategy of introducing contents in the textbooks of south and that of north Korea corresponds to 'guidance' and 'explanation' respectively. Exploratory questions leading to the concepts are more emphasized in the textbooks of south Korea, on the other hand, meaningful explanations play an important role in the textbooks of north Korea.

  • This paper examines the comprehensive problems concerning education and policy in applied music through the foundation of academy. Today, we can receive information that developing popular music of actual domain is arrived at considerable level. However, a theoretical base remains lacking and this continues to impede development. I separated the education to branch and researched intensively because the problems of these are very serious and important matter. I proceeded research by mean of primary improvement that classified into two ways. First is education. I reviewed problems in various subjects, including curriculum, textbook, teacher certification examination and the lack of research and books available. Second is policies. I mainly considered the NCS which is a recent debated topic. Finally, we suggest the establishment of a research institute as a solution for these subjects. In this paper, we propose solutions such as the establishment, purpose, as well as the necessities and roles of academy. In conclusion, we propose suggestions for addressing problems associated with current policies and ways of developing popular music.
