This study analyzed the ignorance and prejudice with regard to African culture, which can be seen at the textbook and class course centering the geography class from 1990's to the present, and reviewed critically the related education and learning effects for mutual understanding. This study results are as follows: First, in the geographic environment contents, the image regarding huge continent, the local image regarding the various physical environments and the geographical importance as the ancient civilization birthplace were not included in the description. Second, the description regarding the African culture and history was focused to the singular African image, so the fixed concept and distorted image has been rooted into the formation of cultural meta-knowledge. Third, the negative sides rather than positive development and the past backward facts rather than changed status have been emphasized in the description regarding African resources and industry as well, so only the region surrounded with the various problems including poverty and the image as underdeveloped country have been rooted into the description. Now, real Africa view, an image for a variety of attractive and vibrant Africa rather than the same culture and characteristics of African must be learned in text books.

The help or guide sentences of educational math games which use mathematical statements need to represent graphical forms for the learners of the game generation whose cognitive style is graphic first. In this paper, we proposed an object-based visual representation method for mathematical statements. It has object-based description rules to use graphical symbols and mathematical symbols with text words. It is easy to describe or to understand accurately mathematical meaning and is also fast for learners to read for understanding. The proposed method is good for learners of the game generation to get the help as scaffolding for learning math by educational games.

Multimedia contents what we call Digital Items include various types of resources such as music, speech, text, video, graphics, and so on. The current Adaptation QoS described in the ISO/IEC 21000-7 CD-Part 7: Digital Item Adaptation, however, lacks adaptation methods for audio signals. The goal of this paper is to provide adaptation methods that are necessary to deal with audio signals. Two operations are introduced in order to adapt audio items. One method is to make use of the functionality of Fine Grain Scalability, and the other is intended to drop the channel of audio output channel. This paper provides a DIA description tool that associates the operators with the corresponding values of the constraint and the utility. Furthermore, the operations are evaluated and compared to alternative solutions.

Recently, IED engineering method in home and abroad require high ability of expert based on IEC 61850 since IED engineering has been carrying out based on text. In this paper, Proposed easy IED engineering method is able to provide best solution to without specialized knowledge about IEC 61850. Also, This paper deals with easy method in order to provide to accomplish using SLD(single line diagram) and SSD(system specification description) file based on SLD.

Steganography, which is popular as an image processing technology, is the art of using digital images to hide a secret message in such a way that its existence can only be discovered by the sender and the intended receiver. This technique has the advantage of concealing secret information in a cover medium without drawing attention to it, unlike cryptography, which tries to convert data into something messy or meaningless. In this paper, we propose two efficient least significant bit (LSB)-based steganography techniques for designing an image-based steganography system on chip using hardware description language (HDL). The proposed techniques manipulate the LSB plane of the cover image to embed text inside it. The output of these algorithms is a stego-image which has the same quality as that of the original image. We also implement the proposed techniques using the Altera field programmable gate array (FPGA) and Quartus II design software.

This paper describes a solid modeling system based on a systematic description of techniques for analyzing and understanding on engineering drawings. Main stress is placed on clarifying the difference between the drawing understanding and the drawing recognition. The former, in which we feel major interest, is intrinsically a difficult problem because it inherent contains combinatorial search to require more than polynomial time. Actually, understanding drawings is regarded as a process to recover the information lost in projection 3-D objects to 2-D drawings. But, solid modeling by automatic understanding of the given drawings is one of the promising approach, which is described precisely in the text. Reviewing the studies performed so far, we summarize the future direction of the project and inevitable open problems left.

Prunus choreiana, invalidly published without Latin description in the original text, is validated here. The species has been known as a Korean endemic plant species of deciduous shrub, and a typical calciferous plant mainly distributed in Pyeongnam Province and Hamnam Province, North Korea. However, recently new population was reported from Mt. Myon and another new population is reported here from Mt. Jabyeong in Gangwon-do.

한국어 서답형 문항의 자동채점 프로그램을 개발하기 위해서는 모범답안, 오답, 부분점수 부여를 위한 세부적인 내용을 채점 기준표로 기술해야 한다. 자동채점에 필요한 구체적인 사항들을 기술하기 위하여 XML 형식으로 정답 템플릿을 정의하였다. 채점에 필요한 내용을 단위 개념으로 정의하고 이를 컴퓨터가 엑세스 가능한 형태의 정답 템플릿을 설계하였다. 정답 템플릿 형식에 맞게 편리하게 템플릿을 작성할 수 있는 작성 도구를 이용하여 학업 성취도평가 각 문항에 대한 채점 기준표를 정답 템플릿으로 작성하여 채점기준표를 작성하는 실험을 수행하였다.

Gori-I nuclear power plant has been examining the effectiveness and efficiency of the current emergency operation procedures from human factors viewpoint. Previous study showed that some mistakes that the procedures did not comply with the writers' guidelines. Reviewing the current writers' guidelines for emergency operating procedures revealed that they lack of some important human factors rules such as enumeration of switching conditions and detailed action requirements, definite expression for setup points, description for anticipated results, and recommendation for use of present tense, affirmative sentence and active voice. This study suggested a new classification system for the writers' guideline contents supplementing the deficiencies of the current emergency operation procedure text.

This paper describes BSDL(Behavioral/Structural Description Language), CDTF(Control Data Text File) and state synthesizer built for use in ICSC(InCheon Silicon Compiler). BSDL describes structral and behaviral specifications of an ASIC(Application Specific IC) for digital system design. ICSC's paser generates CDTF consists of if-then-else, arithmetic and data transfer statement according to each BSDL statement. State synthesizer generates CCG(Control Constraint Graph) in consideration of execution of statement and generates VCG (Variable Constraint Graph) in consideration use of variable generation and use of variable. Also, it involves allocating algorithm operation nodes in the data path and the control path to machine states with minimum state number and as small area as possible.
