  • In this paper, we propose an improved regression testing method, which use method as the basic unit of changing. The testing method consists of three steps. We represent the relationship of classes using the notation of UML(Unified Modeling Language), find the nodes of the modified methods and affected methods by node analysis, and then select changed test cases from the original test cases. The proposed object-oriented regression testing method can reduce the number of test cases, testing time and cost through reuse of test cases.

  • Testing maturity is critical to the system under development with lack of experience and skills in the acquisition of the weapon systems. Defects have a huge impact on important system operations. Sharing real-time information will lead to rapid command and mission capability in submarine. DDS(Data Distribution System) is a very important information sharing system and interface between various manufacturers or data formats. In this paper, we analyze data distribution characteristics of distributed data system to group data-specific systems and proposes a test case-generation method using path search of postorder and preorder which is a tree traversal in path testing method. The proposed method reduces 73.7.% testing resource compare to existing methods.

  • The Impact-Echo(IE) method has been used to evaluate the integrity of concrete structures. In this method, the P-wave velocity of concrete is a crucial parameter in determining the thickness of concrete lining, the location of cracks or other defects. In many field applications of the IE method, the P-wave velocity is obtained by testing the core or the portion of a structure where the exact thickness is known. Occasionally, however, the core can not be obtained in specific structures and the P-wave velocity determined from core testing may not be a representative value of the structure. This study introduces an IE-SASW method that may determine the P-wave velocity on a surface of each testing area using the Spectral Analysis of Surface Wave (SASW) method. Results obtained from numerical studies are presented in this paper (Part I), and results obtained from experimental studies are presented in the companion paper (Part II). In this paper, numerical analyses using ABAQUS were carried out to investigate the effectiveness and the limitations of the IE-SASW method.

  • It is highly requested that the more complicated embedded software is used for high performance and multiple functions of the systems. This is inevitably increasing the errors. Therefore the embedded software testing is getting important recently. There are not general testing methods which are able to be applied for any embedded systems, but via this research, we introduce a testing method which is based on TTCN-3, a testing standard, for embedded systems. A testing environment for network-based embedded software is implemented with considering the features of TTCN-3 testing which is based on message exchange. The testing environment has two additional parts with TTCN-3 test system, the network analyzer to access the network-based systems and the communication interface which is suggested for embedded systems in previous work, and we have implemented the whole testing environment with interacting these two parts. In addition to the normal testing domain, called single node testing as a unit testing of V-model, we suggest another concept to test multiple nodes in network. It could be achieved by adding keywords such as supervisor and object which are describing the feature of TTCN-3 testing component and generating the TTCN-3 Executable code which contains new keywords. The testing has done for embedded software which is based on CAN network and the demonstration of the testing environment has been shown in this paper.

  • A strain modal testing method has been applied to a cantilever beam to investigate the characteristics of the method. By applying the method to an analytical and an experimental system, it was shown that accurate modal parameters can be estimated from strain frequency response functions using a current modal parameter extraction algorithm. The modal parameters estimated by the method are more accurate than those by the conventional method which uses accelerometers when the tested system is of light weight. The method can be used to predict strain responses and excitation forces for given excitation forces and responses, respectively. Cracks on a structure can be detected by measuring strian FRFs and comparing them with the original ones.

  • Coated welding points are eliminated for Open-Inspection of above-ground storage tanks which should be inspected periodically in accordance with the Hazmat-treatment Safety Act. But it was speculated on this study that it causes such huge economical losses in terms of manpower and materials that applicable to magnetic particle testing. As a result, it was concluded that the magnetic particle testing is applicable to the coating depth below $50{\mu}m$.

  • Non-destructive testing is essential in the inspection of alteration, repair and new construction in construction industry. This paper is to evaluate the strength variation of fire damaged concrete by non-destructive testing. Furthermore, It is to infer the recovery degree of residual strength of fire-damaged concrete. For this purpose, researchers are exploring the performance of non-destructive testing method using ultrasonic testing and Schmidt hammer in concrete specimens. Testing is performed four-times: before fire test, directly after fire test, after 20 days and after 60 days.

  • The multifrequency eddy current testing(ECT) have been proposed various frequency mixing algorithms. In this study, we compare these approaches to frequency mixing of ECT signals from steam generator tubes; time-domain optimization, discrete cosine transform-domain optimization. Specifically, in this study, two different frequency mixing algorithms, a time-domain optimization method and a discrete cosine transform(DCT) optimization method, are investigated using the experimental signals captured from the ASME standard tube. The DCT domain optimization method is computationally fast but produces larger amount of residue.

  • In case of dead-tank circuit breaker with the earthed enclosure, the dielectric performance for phase to ground should be verified under the hot-gas condition produced by the current interruption. This test condition is required in breaking test duties with the rated short-circuit current and rated voltage. And, KERI has completed the reinforcement of the synthetic testing facilities and these facilities have the testing capacity which enables the full-pole testing for 800kV circuit breaker by adopting the series voltage injection method. So, this paper introduced the test circuit and procedures about the full-pole and the multi-part testing method which was devised to estimate the full -insulation of phase-to-ground for the multi-pole and dead-tank circuit breaker.

  • The main disadvantages of destructive testing methods are the delay in obtaining test results, the relatively high cost of testing, and the lack of reproducibility in the test results. As a result, nondestructive testing methods are generally used. There are three objectives in this paper. The first is to determine the equations of the compressive strength of concrete estimated by Schmidt hammer technique, ultrasonic pulse velocity method and combined method respectively in laboratory. The second is to determine the correction factors according to the concrete age which affects most in evaluating the compressive strength of in-situ concrete. The third is to examine the applicability of the equations to evaluation of the compressive strength of in-situ concrete structures.
