자동 흙-함수특성곡선 시험장치 구축 및 활용 (Construction and Application of an Automated Apparatus for Calculating the Soil-Water Characteristic Curve)

  • 새롭게 구축된 자동 흙-함수특성곡선 시험장치는 측정원리가 간단하고 연속적인 측정이 가능하며, 시험자에 의해 발생될 수 있는 오차를 최소화하여 보다 정확한 불포화토의 흙-함수특성곡선을 산정할 수 있다. 본 시험장치는 압력조절장치, 플로우셀, 물저장소, 공기방울트랩, 저울, 시료준비장치, 측정시스템 등으로 구성되어 있다. 공기의 압력은 0-300 kPa범위까지 적용할 수 있으며, 단기간내 시험을 완료할 수 있다. 본 시험장치에서는 건조과정과 습윤과정을 재현할 수 있으며, 측정 자동화 프로그램(SWRC)을 이용하여 건조과정과 습윤과정에 따른 시료내 함수비 변화를 실시간으로 확인할 수 있다. 본 시험기를 이용하여 상대밀도 75%인 주문진 표준사에 대한 건조 및 습윤과정의 체적함수비에 따른 모관흡수력을 측정하였다. 측정결과, 건조 및 습윤과정을 거치는 동안 동일한 체적함수비에서 대한 모관흡수력 값이 다르게 나타나는 이력현상(hysteresis)이 발생하였다. 측정된 결과를 토대로 기존의 Brooks and Corey, van Genuchten 및 Fredlund and Xing 방법을 이용하여 흙-함수특성곡선을 예측하였다. 결정계수를 이용하여 이들 방법에 대한 정확성을 평가한 결과 대상토질조건의 경우 van Genuchten방법이 신뢰성이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다.

전동식 부항기에 대한 안전성 및 성능평가 가이드라인 개발연구 (Study on Developing Assessment Guideline for Safety and Performance of Electric Cupping Apparatus)

  • Objectives : We developed and proposed a guideline for safety and performance assessment of electric cupping apparatus(Class 2 medical device). Methods : We drafted the guideline for safety and performance assessment of electric cupping apparatus by referring the existing standards and guideline, based on online questionnaire for Korean medical doctors and measurement data from commercially available products. Physical dimension of cups and inner vacuum pressure were acquired for the measurement in order to achieve the purposes. Results : This guideline only can be applied to electric cupping apparatus for enhancing blood circulation by employing negative pressure generated by electricity. Seven items of appearance and label, operation test of pump, variation test of input electricity, vacuum level test, vacuum sustain test, cup-size dependent test, noise level test are suggested for evaluation subjects and methods required for electric cupping devices. Requirements for the design and development of electric cupping devices are suggested: vacuum level indicator, vacuum generation rate, pressure control, valve detachment stability, cup comparability, safety measure, surge protection, user friendliness, instruction for use (IFU). Conclusions : We proposed a guideline for safety and performance assessment of electric cupping apparatus to improve the quality of relating products and aid the commercialization of them, by aiming higher industrial competitiveness of the medical device sectors in Korea. Discussion with related institutes such as industry, academy and government is further required. Public hearings also need to be held prior to the establishment of a final guideline and standard.

  • 1. Objectives The Face is an important standard for the classification of Sasang Constitutions. We are developing 3D Automatic Face Recognition Apparatus(3D-AFRA) to analyse the facial characteristics. This apparatus show us 3D image and data of man's face and measure facial figure data. So We should examine the Measurement of Facial Figure data error of 3D Automatic Face Recognition Apparatus(3D-AFRA) in Software Error Analysis. 2. Methods We scanned face status by using 3D Automatic Face Recognition Apparatus(3D-AFRA). And we measured lengths Between Facial Definition Parameters of facial figure data by Facial Measurement program. 2.1 Repeatability test We measured lengths Between Facial Definition Parameters of facial figure data restored by 3D-AFRA by Facial Measurement program 10 times. Then we compared 10 results each other for repeatability test. 2.2 Measurement error test We measured lengths Between Facial Definition Parameters of facial figure data by two different measurement program that are Facial Measurement program and Rapidform2006. At measuring lengths Between Facial Definition Parameters, we uses two measurement way. The one is straight line measurement, the other is curved line measurement. Then we compared results measured by Facial Measurement program with results measured by Rapidform2006. 3. Results and Conclusions In repeatability test, standard deviation of results is 0.084-0.450mm. And in straight line measurement error test, the average error 0.0582mm, and the maximum error was 0.28mm. In curved line measurement error test, the average error 0.413mm, and the maximum error was 1.53mm. In conclusion, we assessed that the accuracy and repeatability of Facial Measurement program is considerably good. From now on we complement accuracy of 3D-AFRA in Hardware and Software.

  • A magnet is designed and analysed using a finite element method program (FLUX2D), which will be employed to the 2-module MAGLEV test vehicle for developing of DAE JEON EXPO '93 Magnetic Levitation System. Levitation force. guidance force and thermal characteristics are examined according to the variation of parameters of the magnet ie. pole width, window area, rail configuration, input current and so on. An optimal geometry of the magnet are provided.

  • The natural element method is a kind of meshless Galerkin method. The shape function is derived from the natural neighbor coordinates interpolation scheme. Natural neighbor shape functions are $C^0$ everywhere, except the nodes where they are $C^0$. The numerical integration is carried out using the Delaunay triangles as the background cells. The method is applied to the test problems and simulation results show that the natural element method can give accurate solutions for the electromagnetic field problems.

초등학생의 실험기구 교육을 위한 TEP 활동의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application TEP Activity for the Education of Experimental Apparatus at Elementary School)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등학생의 실험기구 교육을 위한 TEP 활동(Trigger interest; 흥미 유발-Explore experimental apparatus; 실험기구 탐색-Practice experimental apparatus; 실천적 사용)을 개발하고 이를 적용하여 그 효과를 알아보았다. 과학을 처음 접하는 초등학교 3학년을 대상으로 교과서에 제시되어있는 실험기구 중 4가지(비커, 전자저울, 유리막대, 약숟가락)를 선별하여 연구를 진행하였다. 그 결과 TEP 활동을 통해 단편적인 사용법이나 주의사항만을 알고 있던 학생들이 실험기구의 생김새에 따른 특징과 연관 지어 실험기구에 대한 설명을 할 수 있게 되었다. 또한 실제로 사용해보는 활동을 통해 실험기구 사용 능력이 향상되었다. 평소 과학 수업에서의 모습을 관찰한 결과 실험기구에 대해 학습한 내용을 떠올리며 적절하게 사용하려는 학생들이 많아졌으며 반복적인 활동을 통해 그 수가 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 초등학교에서 처음 배우게 되는 실험기구에 대한 지식적 이해와 사용 능력은 초, 중, 고등학교를 지나 실험이 주로 이루어지게 되는 대학교까지 영향을 미친다. 잘못된 용도와 사용법으로 실험을 하게 된다면 실험 결과의 신뢰도가 떨어질 뿐만 아니라 안전사고의 확률 또한 높아진다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구를 통해 실험기구에 대한 교육을 초등 과학 교육과정에서 더욱 중요하게 다루어져야 하며 실제 교육을 해야 하는 교사들을 위해 다양한 교육 자료나 교수법이 개발되어야 함을 확인할 수 있었다.

동적단순전단 시험기를 이용한 매립지반 거동특성에 관한 연구 (A study of dynamic peoperties in cyclic simple shear test)

  • Cyclic simple shear test apparatus was used to investigate the dynamic response of liquefiable soils as reclamation material. The specimen were reclamation using simple air-pluviation method. The confining stress was applied the range of 100 kpa to 200 kpa. The resulted strain was in the range of $10^{-3}$ ~ 5 %. Based on these test results modulus reduction curve, damping curve and cyclic strength curve were developed. The developed curves were compared to those already available in literature. The obtained curves can be applied to FEM or equivalent linear analysis such as SHAKE for ground response analysis.

  • In constructions of dams and ports structure, gravels are used as principle structural materials. Gravels have different material property compared with other materials like soil and concretes, etc. For example, material properties of gravels obtained from normal triaxial compression test are usually overestimated due to scale and penetration effects. Also, material properties of gravels under dynamic loads are the main interest when structural behavior of rockfill dam under earthquake loads is analyzed. The development of large triaxial compression apparatus is needed for the better estimation of material property of gravel. This paper reports work in progress to development of large triaxial compression apparatus.

  • As Industrialization gets more and more advanced, human technological medical apparatus for dentistry has been developed. Such a medical apparatus have to let precision revolution and torque control facilitate. Consequently, Development of Micro hand-piece with strong durability should be required. Moreover, It's also very important to evaluate performance of such a Micro hand-piece, Evaluation of Mechanical property of Material and ANOVA have been known as useful methods in the field of Quality Evaluation. For Verification of Quality Evaluation, It has been evaluated by One-way layout ANOVA based on the data of Surface Roughness Test. Anyhow, This test has been respectively carried out by 3 kinds of Test and Superior performance has appeared in the Test result.

  • This paper, as a preliminary study, presents the important consideration in laboratory planning and designing 4.2MV impulse voltage generator(IVG), which enable to test and evaluate the UHV dielectric performance of power electric apparatus up to 765kv-class. To fix and confirm the kinds of loads and their capacities to be tested by KERI hereafter, wide investigation and an analysis of test objects, especially heavy electric apparatus of Korea, according to their ratings and test voltages have been conducted. With the special consideration concerning other matters in designing of 4.2MV IVG have been described with the practical examples and references.
