The sea-port in Northern Vietnam accounts for around one third of the total country's cargo throughput and for many decades has been playing an important role in the logistics system of the country. 11 container terminals currently operate in Northern Vietnam, concentrating in Haiphong city and Quang Ninh province. Despite the increasing demand, the competition among these container terminals has become increasingly more critical. In recent years, massive investments from both government and operators have been made to improve the capability of the local sea-port's logistics infrastructure. This critically needed comprehensive research evaluates the impact of the current logistics infrastructure condition on the competitiveness of terminals and quantitatively compares the competencies of these terminals. In order to meet such requirements, the paper first summarizes the indicators of the logistics infrastructures of the sea ports before developing and testing hypotheses to reveal the correlation between the given factors and the annual throughput of container terminals in the region. Factor analysis will then be applied to score the logistics infrastructure competency of each container terminal. A significant gap between logistics infrastructures among all container terminals was not observed and the competitiveness between container terminals is mostly driven by traditional activities including cargo handling and storage. According to the results, strategic thinking will be needed to contribute to related organizations for better decisions in investment, management, and operation.

계층 회의는 회의에 참가한 단말기 간 교환되는 데이터가 계층 구조로 전달되기 때문에 정보 지연이 발생되게 된다. 본 논문에서, 단말기 사이의 평균 경로 거리를 최소화하고 단말기의 컴퓨터 자원을 고려하여 비점진적 계층 회의를 구성하는 새로운 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 참가를 원하는 단말기들을 현재 구성중인 계층 회의에 포함 시키고자 할 때, 제안한 알고리즘은 회의 내에서 컴퓨터 자원을 고려하여 참가한 단말기들을 가운데 연결 가능한 단말기들을 선택한다. 그 다음, 참가를 원하는 단말기들과 선택 단말기들 간의 거리를 계산하고 거리가 최소가 되는 단말기 쌍을 선택한 뒤, 이 단말기 쌍을 연결하여 계층 회의를 확장한다. 이러한 방법은 모든 단말기 들이 회의에 포함될 때까지 반복된다. 제안한 방법을 이용하여 모의실험 한 결과 비점진적 계층 회의 방법이 단말기 간의 평균 경로 거리 관점에서 점진적 계층회의 방법보다 24% 효율적으로 구성될 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

Sea-ports in Northern Vietnam have experienced a rapid growth of container throughput in recent years. To accompany with such development, huge investment also has been performed to enhance not only local port capacity but also the regional logistics system. Container terminals in Northern Vietnam locate centrally along Cam river of Haiphong city, leaving 2 others in Quang Ninh province. Five out of totally 11 container terminals in the area are under the control of Vinalines - a national corporation in field of maritime industry. In this paper, those terminals are classified in terms of location and ownership. The volume of container throughput and facilities of all container terminals in Northern Vietnam from 2005 to 2014 are recorded in order to compare the performance of groups. A Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is then applied to evaluate the relative efficiency of such terminals. Before conclusion, number of suggestions will be contributed to related parties.

Port in Northern Vietnam has been playing an important role in the logistics system the country. In recent years, the cargo throughput of the region, especially, containerized cargo has increased gradually. There are totally 11 container terminals in Northern Vietnam, concentrating in Haiphong city and Quang Ninh province. Despite of increasing demand, the competition among the terminals is becoming more and more critical. The paper, firstly, summarizes factors impacting the market share of the terminals before reveal the correlation between given factors and annual container throughput. Factor analysis will be then applied to evaluate the level of terminals' logistics infrastructure. For the conclusion, strategic thinking of terminals' logistics competitiveness will be contributed to related organizations.

Camera calibration is an important part of machine vision and close-range photogrammetry. Since current calibration methods fail to obtain ideal internal and external camera parameters with limited computing resources on mobile terminals efficiently, this paper proposes an improved fast camera calibration method for mobile terminals. Based on traditional camera calibration method, the new method introduces two-order radial distortion and tangential distortion models to establish the camera model with nonlinear distortion items. Meanwhile, the nonlinear least square L-M algorithm is used to optimize parameters iteration, the new method can quickly obtain high-precise internal and external camera parameters. The experimental results show that the new method improves the efficiency and precision of camera calibration. Terminals simulation experiment on PC indicates that the time consuming of parameter iteration reduced from 0.220 seconds to 0.063 seconds (0.234 seconds on mobile terminals) and the average reprojection error reduced from 0.25 pixel to 0.15 pixel. Therefore, the new method is an ideal mobile terminals camera calibration method which can expand the application range of 3D reconstruction and close-range photogrammetry technology on mobile terminals.

The steady growth of seaborne trade has resulted in the further development of container ships, ports, and container terminals, and the operating efficiency of a container terminal is a decisive element for its competitive ability in international markets. The aim of this research is to evaluate the relative efficiency of Russian and South Korean container terminals. For this purpose, the output-oriented DEA was applied to 31 container terminals of Russian and South Korean seaports for the years from 2012 to 2014. The results indicate that Korean container terminals exhibited higher efficiency scores than their Russian counterparts.

Vietnam is one of Asia's fastest developing economies. A long coastline of nearly 3,500 km provides a comparative advantage for Vietnam in developing a seaport system. Despite accounting for only about 30% of Vietnam's traffic volume, the Northern seaports have rapidly developed over the years. However, the location of the container terminals close to the common hinterland are a cause of fierce competition among container terminals. To outperform rivals and improve competitiveness, it is essential to identify the competitive positions of container terminals. This study analyzes the competitive positioning of container terminals in the northern region of Vietnam between 2005 and 2014 by applying the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix in order to assist terminal operators and policy makers to generate strategic planning as well as to improve priorities for development. Otherwise, the period from 2005-2014 aims to clarify the static and dynamic positioning of container terminals. The results demonstrate that the Hai Phong terminal dominates the market, but the Nam Hai Dinh Vu and Dinh Vu terminals are considered as "star" performers. Quang Ninh, Doan Xa, and Transvina are losing their competitive positions in Northern Vietnam.

This study concerns the importance of internal marketing, employee's attitude, and customer orientation through the change of port industry and the operational condition of domestic container terminals. In accordance with this, the structural relationship among variables, which are internal marketing, employee's attitude and customer orientation in container terminals need to be acknowledged to secure competitive advantage and to maintain continuous transaction relationship with customer through the empirical research. The purpose of this study is to firstly, understand the current facilities and situation of container terminals in Busan port, and its changing environment of port industry. Secondly, provide basic information through the seeking whether the concept of internal marketing is able to apply into port industry. Thirdly, establish the theoretical system through the literature consideration on internal marketing, employee's attitude and customer orientation in container terminals. Finally, draw useful suggestions for managing container terminals through the structural relationship among variables, which are internal marketing, employee's attitude and customer orientation in container terminals.

무선랜은 무선으로 근거리 단말들을 연결하는 통신 기술로, 일반적인 무선랜의 구성은 하나의 AP와 하나 이상의 단말 기기가 BSS를 구성한다. 무선랜 서비스 영역에서 AP와 거리가 가까운 단말은 고속의 데이터 전송률을 보장받을 수 있지만 AP에서 거리가 멀리 떨어진 단만은 신호의 세기가 약해지므로 고속데이터 전송률의 보장을 받을 수 없는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선 단말 중 일부를 중계 단말로 이용함으로써 그룹화를 통해 고속데이터 전송을 가능하게 하는 방법을 제안하고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 무선 단말의 그룹화를 위해 제안한 깊이우선탐색 알고리즘과 넓이우선탐색 알고리즘을 비교, 분석하였다. 그 결과 넓이우선탐색 알고리즘이 무선 단말을 위한 그룹화에 보다 효과적인 알고리즘임을 보였다.

This study concerns the importance of workforce on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and customer orientation through the change of global logistics industry and the operational condition of Busan port and Busan new port container terminals such as below. The purpose of this study is to firstly, that understand the current facilities and situation of container terminals in Busan port and Busan new port, and its changing environment of port industry. Secondly, provide basic information through the seeking whether the concept of importance of workforce is able to apply into container terminals. Thirdly, establish the theoretical system through the literature consideration on workforce on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and customer orientation in container terminals. Finally, draw useful suggestions for managing container terminals through the structural relationship among variables, which are workforce on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and customer orientation in container terminals.
