Auto back 인장장치를 이용한 제거식 앵커의 적용성 (Application of Removable Ground Anchor Using Auto back Equipment)

  • 도심지의 흙막이 공사에서 앵커의 인장력에 의해 굴착면을 지지하는 제거식 그라운드 앵커의 사용성이 중시되고 있다. 현재 현장에서 주로 이용되고 있는 압축분산형 앵커는 강선의 길이가 달라 기존 인장장치로 긴장력 도입시 일정한 긴장력을 취할 수 없어 앵커 거동에 문제점을 야기하고 있다. 따라서 Auto back 인장장치를 사용하여, 각 강선에 일정한 긴장력의 도입을 시도하는 현장실험을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 기존 인장장치와 Auto back 인장장치의 현장실험에 따른 실험결과치를, 탄성론에 의거하여 계산된 이론치와 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 기존 인장장치는 강선의 수가 증가할수록 긴장력 차이가 더 증가하고 있음이 확인되었다. 이는 하중이 집중된 강선의 극한파괴와 지반의 전단파괴를 야기할 수 있다. 따라서 Auto back 인장장치에 의한 긴장이 이루어져 강선에 긴장력을 균등 분배해야 한다.

경직형 뇌성마비 아동의 최대 발성지속시간과 파열음 산출 시 조음시간 특성 비교 (The maximum phonation time and temporal aspects in Korean stops in children with spastic cerebral palsy)

  • This study evaluated the respiratory capacity of spastic cerebral palsy children who were grouped by GMFCS (Gross Motor Function Classification System) levels and identified the acoustic characteristics of three different types of Korean stops (stop consonants) which are needed for the temporal coordination of larynx and supra-larynx, in these children. Thirty-two children with dysarthria due to spastic cerebral palsy were divided into two subgroups: 14 children classified at GMFCS levels I~III were placed in Group 1 and 18 classified at GMFCS levels IV~V were placed in Group 11, and 18 children with normal speech were selected and placed in the control group. /a/ pronged phonation (sustained vowel /a/) and nine Korean VCV syllables were used. Examined acoustic characteristics were maximum phonation time (MPT) and closure duration and aspiration duration. The results were as follows: 1) The MPTs of the cerebral palsy (CP) groups, both Group I and Group II, were significantly shorter than those of the normal group. 2) The closure durations of the two CP groups were longer than those of the normal group for all 9 target syllables. 3) The aspiration durations of the two CP groups were longer than those of the normal group. 4) The closure duration of the normal and CP Group I was significantly different among tense, aspirated, and lax. However, the CP Group II was different from normal. 5) The aspiration duration of the normal and CP Group I was significantly different among aspirated, tense, and lax. However, the CP Group II was different from normal. 6) The place of articulation influenced less than the manner of articulation on closure and aspiration duration.

10대 미혼모가 경험한 학업 중단과 의미에 관한 연구 (A Case Study of the Meaning of School Dropout of Teenager Unmarried Mothers)

  • 본 연구는 10대 미혼모가 경험한 학업중단의 의미를 밝히기 위한 연구이다. 질적연구의 방법으로 분석한 결과, 그들이 경험한 학업중단의 의미가 일차적으로 그들의 "신분과 지위 박탈" 의 문제로 재정의 되었는데, 이는 곧 제도화된 "학력사회로부터의 일방적인 배제" 라는 것을 의미한다. 또 이러한 배제는 또 다른 사회적 배제의 내적 기제로 작동하고 있다는 점, 또한 그들의 여생에서도 그럴 가능성-학업 중단이 평생의 굴레로 작용할 수 있는-이 농후하다는 시사점도 함께 도출할 수 있었다. 이와 함께 10대 미혼모의 학업중단의 문제가 사회적 정상성의 기준에서 벗어난 임신이라는 행동과 맞물려 "사회가 일방적인 기준을 적용했다" 라는 주요한 시사점의 도출을 통해 그들의 임신은 철저히 '타자화' 되는 삶으로 진입할 수밖에 없는 결정적 계기가 되었다는 사실을 발견하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 10대 미혼모들이 경험한 주관적 의미의 세계를 조명했다는 면에서 의의를 가진다.

공간체험을 통한 긴장.이완의 현상 (Tense and relax Pheomenon of spatial Experience)

  • Latest modernism shows general idea of phenomenal space through nature of place motility and experience sinceded from standard form and it has general idea of space. therefore this study presents the tension and the relaxation as a method looking for spatal change and value that in spatial experience. For the analysis of work the Conference Pavillon of Tadoa Ando in the furniture company in Vitra Fire Station of Zaha Hidid is analyzed in spatial experence. As the result the result the systematic straight mixture that has a superrimotion with long retangle which the space acts independently and is shown in the drawing of absolutism is formed and collapses theregularity of construction form by decomposition annexation mixing collision and ambivalence. The spatial experiance in this unstable form changes the grade of rank of space by opposite phenomenon by the change of spatial flowing the disorted and vague space that is occurred by superrimotion which has no direction and change of lirht and place and consolidates dynamic strain makes possible to construct against the gravity. And it also creates experienced space thatis reaxed with maintenance of organization of unity harmony, and stsbility.

성의 의미와 성관계의 동기에 대한 대학생의 인식 (Sexual Meanings and Motives for Intercourse among College Students)

  • This study analyzed college students' perceptions of sexual meanings and motives for intercourse. The sample consisted of 185 never married students of two universities in Seoul; 58 male and 127 female. Among these students, $55.2\%$ of male students and $22.8\%$ of female students answered that they had experienced sexual intercourse. The referred symbolic meanings of sex to these subjects were important, secretive, hot, connected, tense, young, serious, excitable, friendly, wet, sacred, pleasurable, interesting, play, creative, strong, and spontaneous. Students responded that the most important reason for sex was affection, followed by concern for partner, spiritual bond, communication, recreation-play, and procreation. Students who had experienced sexual intercourse and male students had significantly more positive sexual meanings than their counterparts. The recommendations for future research are provided.

신춘문예 동시의 문학 교육적 의미 (Literary and Educational Meanings of Poems for Children : The Annual Literary Contest of the Dongah-ilbo and the Chosun-ilbo)

  • Using literary and educational points of view, this study examined the prizewinning poems for children in the Annual Literary Contest sponsored by the Dongah-ilbo and the Chosun-ilbo between the 1970s and 2001. The average age of both male and female writers increased over time, 82% were college graduates, and 54% were educators. All of the poems referred to nature in some ways, either as the major theme(42%) or in passing reference to some aspect of nature(58%). Onomato-poetic words were used in 71% of the poems; similes and metaphors were expressed in 13% and 51%, respectively; 58% were written from a mediator's point of view; 59% were in the present tense; 78% of the space elements were fixed; and 98% were written in free verse. In conclusion, the poems for children of the Annual Literary Contest should be used in literary education with guidelines for the appreciation, creation, and criticism of poems for children.

English Middles as Categorical Sentences

  • Stroik (1992, 1995, 1999) argues for the syntactic approach to English middles. His argumentation is heavily dependent upon the occurrence of a for-phrase in middles. However, many native speakers of English judge middles containing a for-phrase awkward or at best marginal. In addition, some other adverbials show a trait of a very similar nature. These two observational facts seem to justify the Genericity Constraint on Middles (=GCM). Yet a third observational fact that middles in the past tense can be sporadic nullifies GCM. In the present article, based upon several pieces of evidence, I show that the subject of the middle is a topic. In addition, it is argued that the Topical Subject Constraint on Middles can explain away the three observational facts.

한국인 학습자의 영어 강세 실현과 모음 포먼트에 관한 연구 (A Study on Realizations of English Stress and Vowel Formant Frequency by Korean Learners)

  • This study investigates twenty four Korean females' production of English front vowels focusing on the distinction in /i/ vs /ɪ/ and /ɛ/ vs /${\ae}$/ and formant values of stressed and unstressed vowels compared with those of native English speakers. The Korean learners were asked to read a textbook passage which includes ten sentences including target vowels. The major results indicate that: (1) Korean learners have trouble producing a distinct version (tense and lax) of front vowels in the paragraph reading; (2) The vowel space of the stressed vowels in a paragraph is smaller than that of embedded sentences; and (3) The vowel quality of the unstressed vowels produced by the Korean learners is similar to that of the native English speakers. The findings from this study can be applied to the pronunciation teaching for the Korean learners of English vowels and realization of English stress.

Korean Mathematics Teacher Educators' Response on the Mathematics Teaching Efficacy Beliefs Instrument

  • The Mathematics Teaching Efficacy Beliefs Instrument is one of the most popular instruments used to measure elementary preservice teachers' efficacy beliefs in mathematics teaching. The instrument was, however, developed in the United States and is perhaps not appropriate for other cultures. In this study, the instrument was translated into Korean and carefully reviewed by Korean mathematics teacher education professors. Analysis of the review indicated that eight out of the 21 items were appropriate while the others needed to be revised. Items were identified as inappropriate due to awkwardness, multiple meanings, tense disagreements, and vagueness. These items were modified to better fit the Korean context. The instrument was revised with two versions: one for elementary and the other for secondary pre service teachers.

한국어 치찰음의 마찰구간의 스펙트럼 특성 (Spectral Characteristics of Frication Noise in Korean Sibilants)

  • This study investigates spectral characteristics of frication noise in Korean sibilants in terms of center of gravity and skewness. Specifically, the present study seeks to observe the two parameters with emphasis on place of articulation in different vowel environments. This study also examines whether these parameters can discriminate phonation types. The results showed that the fricatives are palatalized in front of the front vowel /i/ and the affricates are articulated at the same place of articulation regardless of the following vowels. This study also suggests that the place of articulation of the fricatives followed by /i/ is the same as those of the Korean affricates. With regard to the phonation type, there was a significant difference in the center of gravity between lax and tense series for both fricatives and affricates.
