산업 설비의 이상 진동 감지를 위한 스마트 센싱 디바이스의 개발 (A Development of Smart Sensing Device for Monitoring Abnormal Vibration of Industrial Equipment)

  • 산업체 전반의 주요 설비에서 이상 상태는 온도의 이상 상승, 진동과 소음의 변화를 수반하여 나타나게 된다. 본 연구에서는 BLE 를 탑재한 스마트 센싱 모듈를 개발하고, MEMS 기반의 가속도 센서를 인터페이스하여, 설비의 자체결함으로 인한 이상진동을 감지할 수 있는 스마트 센싱 디바이스를 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 스마트 센싱장치는 좁은 공간에 쉽게 설치하여, 설비의 진동상태를 실시간으로 모니터링 할 수 있으며, 어레이 LED 디스플레이로 정상상태와 문제 발생상태를 간편하게 사용자에게 알려줄 수 있다.

인체 감지용 강유전체 박막 초전형 적외선 센서의 제작 (Pyroelectric Infrared Microsensors Made for Human Body Detection)

  • 강유전체 박막과 마이크로 가공기술을 이용하여 초전형 적외선 센서를 제작하였다. 초전형 적외선 센서는 $Pb_{l-x}La_{x}Ti_{1-x/4}O_{3}$ (x=0.05) (PLT) 강유전체 박막 커패시터를 RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링 방식으로 백감 전극이 증착된 MgO 기판상에 결정 성장시킨 구조를 갖고 있다. 스퍼터링된 PLT 박막은 높은 c-축 결정 구조를 가지므로 센서로 사용하기 위한 분극 처리 과정이 필요 없다. 이는 적외선 이미지 센서를 구현함에 있어서 수율 향상에 필수적인 요소이다. 또한 마이크로 가공 기술을 사용하여 센서의 열용량을 극소화함으로서 센서의 효율을 최대화하였다. 제작된 센서의 상부에 폴리이미드를 코팅하고 MgO 기판을 선택적으로 식각하여 코팅된 폴리이미드와 MgO가 강유전체 박막 커패시터를 지지하고 있는 구조를 구현하였다. 이렇게 제작된 센서의 감도는 상온에서 $8.5{\times}10^{8}cm{\cdot}\sqrt{Hz}/W$로 측정되었으며 이는 마이크로 가공 기술을 사용하지 않은 경우보다 약 100 배의 감도 향상을 가져왔다. 2차원 배열 구조를 갖는 센서를 가지고 인체의 유 무 뿐만 아니라 위치까지 감별할 수 있는 센싱 시스템을 구현하였다.

Research of Non-integeral Spatial Interpolation for Precise Identifying Soybean Location under Plastic Mulching

  • Most crop damages have been occurred by vermin(e.g., wild birds and herbivores) during the period between seeding and the cotyledon level. In this study, to minimize the damage by vermin and acquire the benefits such as protection against weeds and maintenance of water content in soil, immediately vinyl mulching after seeding was devised. Vinyl mulching has been generally covered with black color vinyl, that crop seeding locations cannot be detected by visible light range. Before punching vinyl, non-contact and non-destructive methods that can continuously determine the locations are necessary. In this study, a crop position detection method was studied that uses infrared thermal image sensor to determine the cotyledon position under vinyl mulch. The moving system for acquiring image arrays has been developed for continuously detecting crop locations under plastic mulching on the field. A sliding mechanical device was developed to move the sensor, which were arranged in the form of a linear array, perpendicular to the array using a micro-controller integrated with a stepping motor. The experiments were conducted while moving 4.00 cm/s speed of the IR sensor by the rotational speed of the stepping motor based on a digital pulse width modulation signal from the micro-controller. The acquired images were calibrated with the spatial image correlation. The collected data were processed using moving averaging on interpolation to determine the frame where the variance was the smallest in resolution units of 1.02 cm. For this study, the spline method was relatively faster than the other polynomial interpolation methods, because it has a lower maximum order of formulation when using a system such as the tridiagonal linear equation system which provided the capability of real-time processing. The temperature distribution corresponding to the distance between the crops was 10 cm, and the more clearly the leaf pattern of the crop was visually confirmed. The frequency difference was decreased, as the number of overlapped pixels was increased. Also the wave pattern of points where the crops were recognized were reduced.

비정질 실리콘 기반의 비냉각형 16x16 적외선 초점면배열의 개발 (Uncooled amorphous silicon 16x16 infrared focal plane arrays development)

  • This paper describes the design and fabrication of 16$\times$16 microbolometer infrared focal plane arrays based on iMEMS technology. Amorphous silicon was used for infrared-sensitive material, and it showed the resistance of 18 Mohm and the temperature coefficient of resistivity of -2.4 %. The fabricated sensors exhibited responsivity of 78 kV/W and thermal time constant of 8.0 msec at a bias voltage of 0.5 V. The array performances had satisfactory uniformity less than 5 % within one-sigma. Also, 1/f noise of pixel was measured and the noise factor of $6\times10^{-11}$ was extracted. Finally, we obtained detectivity of $1.27\times10^9cmHz^{0.5}/W$ and noise equivalent temperature difference of 200 mK at a frame rate of 30 Hz.

전립선암의 온열치료를 위한 초음파변환기 개발에 관한 연구 (A study for implementation of ultrasonic transducer in the prostate cancer hyperthermia)

  • The ultrasonic hyperthermia for oncology has been developed and studied. The HIFU(high intensity focused ultrasound) is the most recent method to treat the tumor by using ultrasound. In this study, an insertion-type transducer for treating a prostate cancer, which can focus the ultrasonic beam mechanically and electrically, was designed and developed. The developed transducer was composed of three arrays, and each array has 32 elements. For the purpose of the mechanical focusing, both side arrays are slanted to the center array by $15^{\circ}$. With this structure, NFL(near field length) was set up as 30 mm. The PZT-4 and two matching layers were used, and the backing layer was excepted to prevent energy losses. The acoustic field analysis and the heating test were performed to evaluate the performance of developed transducer. The shape of an acoustic field, peak pressure, and acoustic pressure distribution were compared with numerical simulation. The NFL was 32 mm, the beam width was 5 mm, focal area was $40\;mm^2$, and peak pressure was 5.5 MPa. With heating by using developed transducer, the temperature increased up to $33^{\circ}C$ at focal zone. As a result of this study, the usefulness of suggested transducer for prostate cancer hyperthermia was confirmed by the acoustic field analysis and the heating test with TMM(tissue mimicking) phantom.

스트레스균형이 이루어진 멤버레인 및 박막 열전대를 응용한 유체센서 (Flow sensor using stress-balanced membrane and thin film thermocouple)

  • 실리콘기판과의 스트레스균형이 이루어진 150 nm-$Si_{3}N_{4}$/300 nm-$SiO_{2}$/150 nm-$Si_{3}N_{4}$ 다이아프레임위에 백금 박막히터 및 Bi-Sb 열전대배열을 형성하여 히터에서 실리콘기판으로 전달되는 열량의 차단효과가 현저히 개선된 유체센서를 제작하였다. 백금 박막히터는 유전체 다이아프레임의 열차단 효과때문에 비선형 전류-전압 특성을 나타내었고, 이 히터의 저항온도계수는 약 $0.00378\;/^{\circ}C$였으며, 또한 Bi-Sb 열전대의 Seebeck계수는 약 $97\;{\mu}V/K$였다. 기체의 열전도도가 증가할수록 유체센서가 나타내는 열기전력은 감소하였으며, 히터온도가 증가하거나 히터와 열전대사이의 거리가 감소할수록 센서의 감도는 증가하였다. 히터전압을 약 2.5V로 하였을 때 유체센서의 $N_{2}$유량에 대한 감도는 약 $1.27\;mV{\cdot}(sccm)^{-1/2}$였고, 열응답시간은 약 0.13 초였다.

볼로미터형 적외선 센서의 신호처리회로 설계 및 특성 (Design and analysis of a signal readout integrated circuit for the bolometer type infrared detect sensors)

  • This paper proposes a readout integrated circuit (ROIC) for $32{\times}32$ infrared focal plane array (IRFPA) detector, which consist of reference resistor, detector resistor, reset switch, integrated capacitor and operational amplifier. Proposed ROIC is designed using $0.35{\;}{\mu}m$ 2P-4M (double poly four metal) n-well CMOS process parameters. Low noise folded cascode operational amplifier which is a key element in the ROIC showed 12.8 MHz unity-gain bandwidth and open-gain 89 dB, phase margin $67^{\circ}$, SNR 82 dB. From proposed circuit, we gained output voltage variation ${\Delta}17{\};mV/^{\circ}C$ when the detector resistor varied according to the temperature.

HPA MMIC to W/G Antenna Transition Loss Analysis and Development Results of W-band Transmitter Module

  • This paper will read about a multichannel frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar sensor with switching transmit (TX) antennas is developed at W-band. To achieve a high angular resolution, a uniform linear array consisting of 5 switching-TX and 12 receive (RX) antennas is employed with the digital beamforming technique. The overall radar front-end module comprises a W-band transceiver and TX/RX antennas. A multichannel transceiver module consists of 5 up-conversion and 12 down-conversion channels, where one of the TX channels is sequentially switched ON. For developing transmitter, we developed an HPA (high power amplified) MMIC chip for W-band radar system and fabricated a transmitter module using this chip. In order to develop the W-band transmitter, we analyzed the important antenna transition structure from HPA MMIC line to W/G (Waveguide)antenna via M/S(microstrip) and fabricated it with 5 transmission channels. As a result, the output power of the transmitter was within 1 dB of the error range after analysis and measurement under normal temperature and environmental conditions.

  • TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System)는 자동차 타이어의 센서부에서 전송된 온도나 압력 등의 데이터를 기반으로 타이어의 상태를 파악하여 운전자가 수시로 이를 점검하여 차량의 주행조건을 최적의 상태로 유지시켜주기 위한 안전보조시스템이다. TPMS는 특성상 무선통신을 기반으로 데이터를 전송하는데, 무선통신 시 TPMS와 비슷한 주파수 대역을 사용하는 외부의 각종 전기 및 전자 장치들에 의한 간섭의 영향으로 통신 장애가 발생할 수 있다. 이러한 다양한 고출력의 간섭을 제거하기 위해 등간격 선형 안테나 어레이 구조의 다양한 빔형성 기술을 사용한다. 빔형성 기술은 많은 수의 안테나를 사용할수록 더욱 향상된 간섭제거 성능을 얻을 수 있는데, 차량 내부의 구조상 사용할 수 있는 안테나의 수는 제한적이다. 본 논문에서는 차량 내부에 설치되는 안테나 수를 늘리기 위해 안테나 사이의 간격을 줄였을 경우 빔형성기의 성능을 비교 분석한다. 빔형성기의 성능분석을 위해 최근에 제안된 TPMS용 스위칭(switching) 빔형성기와 MVDR(Minimum -Variance Distortionless-Response) 빔형성기를 고려한다.

일산화질소 가스 검출을 위한 CuO 박막/ZnO 나노막대 이종접합 구조의 제작 및 특성 평가 (Fabrication and Characterization of CuO Thin Film/ZnO Nanorods Heterojunction Structure for Efficient Detection of NO Gas)

  • We report on the efficient detection of NO gas by an all-oxide semiconductor p-n heterojunction diode structure comprised of n-type zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods embedded in p-type copper oxide (CuO) thin film. The CuO thin film/ZnO nanorod heterostructure was fabricated by directly sputtering CuO thin film onto a vertically aligned ZnO nanorod array synthesized via a hydrothemal method. The transport behavior and NO gas sensing properties of the fabricated CuO thin film/ZnO nanorod heterostructure were charcterized and revealed that the oxide semiconductor heterojunction exhibited a definite rectifying diode-like behavior at various temperatures ranging from room temperature to $250^{\circ}C$. The NO gas sensing experiment indicated that the CuO thin film/ZnO nanorod heterostructure had a good sensing performance for the efficient detection of NO gas in the range of 2-14 ppm under the conditions of an applied bias of 2 V and a comparatively low operating temperature of $150^{\circ}C$. The NO gas sensing process in the CuO/ZnO p-n heterostructure is discussed in terms of the electronic band structure.
