In this paper two protocols of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are examined through both a simulation and a case study. The simulation was performed with the optimized network (OPNET) simulator while comparing the performance of the Ad-Hoc on demand Distance Vector (AODV) and the Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocols. This is compared and shown with real-world measurement of deflection from eight wireless sensor nodes. The wireless sensor response results were compared with accelerometer sensors for validation purposes. It was found that although the computer simulation suggests the AODV protocol is more accurate, in the case study no distinct difference was found. However, it was shown that AODV is still more beneficial in the field as it has a longer battery life enabling longer surveying times. This is a significant finding as a large factor in determining the use of wireless network sensors as a method of assessing structural response has been their short battery life. Thus if protocols which enhance battery life, such as the AODV protocol, are employed it may be possible in the future to couple wireless networks with solar power extending their monitoring periods.

본 논문은 변형된 한국어 문장에 대해 변형 이전의 문장과의 의미적 동일성을 분석하여 한국어 의문문 질의어의 문형과 상이한 문형의 한국어 문장도 정보검색시 검색 대상문에 포함시켜 검색 정확도를 높임으로써 의문문 질의 시스템의 성능을 향상시키는 것에 연구의 초점을 맞추고 있다. 한국어 문장에서 주로 나타나는 피동화에 의한 변형, 분열문에 의한 변형, 명사화에 의한 변형, 어순 재배치에 의한 변형 등의 특성에 대해 알아보고 의문문 질의 시스템에서 그들 각각의 변형을 인식하여 변형 이전의 문장과 동일한 의미의 문장으로 처리하는 방법에 대해서 자세히 살펴보았다.

Recently, with the advent of knowledge-based economy and techno-economic paradigm social demands for technology valuation have increased. In nature, however, technology valuation is an intractable task since technology is characterized by intangible and tacit factors and is traded in a suppliers market. Consequently, it is quite common that each individual or organization has ie own valuation method or criterion. The main objective of this research is to propose a new technology valuation method which is easy to understand and apply. In addition, the method is designed to generate monetary value, rather than score or rank, of technology. To this end. we have proposed the overall framework and detailed procedure of a new valuation method. In doing that, we have emphasized the following factors. First, the new method. vis-a-vis existing methods, is applicable to high-tech areas, rather than traditional manufacturing sectors. Second. the proposed method analyzes the structural relationship between market value(value of market) and technology value(value of technology) and integrates them into valuation process. Third, the new method takes idiosyncratic characteristics of various industrial(technical) sectors into account.

최근 급진전되고 있는 인터넷의 광대역화와 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 수요확대 그리고 인터넷 이용자의 급증 등으로 인터넷 트래픽은 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있다. 그러나 최선형 패킷교환방식인 현 인터넷은 급증하는 네트워크 수요를 감당하기에 이미 기술적 한계를 드러내고 있을 뿐 아니라, 네트워크 확장을 통하여 급증하는 트래픽을 수용하는 것도 경제적으로 한계수위에 도달하고 있다. 따라서 네트워크 수요 대비 공급량의 불균형으로 인터넷망에서의 혼잡(congestion)문제가 점차 중요한 이슈로 제기되고 있으며, 이런 문제의 해결방안으로 네트워크공급을 늘리거나, 초과수요를 줄이는 방안에 대한 논의와 구체적인 노력이 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 간단한 기술 경제학적 모형을 이용하여 혼잡의 원인과 이에 대한 해결방향에 대하여 분석적인 설명을 시도하였다. 특히 본 고에서는 인터넷 혼잡의 원인이 '부정적 네트워크 외부성' 이 존재하기 때문이며, 실무적으로 혼잡문제 해결의 대표적인 대안으로 적용되고 있는 네트워크의 용량확대는 혼잡해결의 근본적인 대안이 되지 못하고, 반면 실무적으로 별로 주목받고 있지 않는 네트워크 투자를 최소화하고 트래픽을 통제할 수 있는 '혼잡세'를 부과할 수 있는 요금제 도입이 효율적인 혼잡 해결방안 임을 밝히고 있다.

In this paper, we analyzed two methodologies to evaluate the total quality management activities comparatively. One of them is the traditional scoring system (TSS) by analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the other is the efficiency measuring system (EMS) by data envelop analysis (DEA). It is demonstrated that the index by TSS and the efficiency index by EMS are not correlated. Also, the efficiency index by EMS in terms of company characteristics such as the size of company and ISO certifications is different from the index by TSS. The result implies that to evaluate the quality activities by EMS is needed as a supplementary methodology.

By investigating various information promotion plans by Taegu Metropolitan City Government, Kyungbuk Provincial Government or by the ministry of Agricultural, Forestry, and Fishery Affairs, this paper intends to analyze current trends of information approached from wider perspective, and to propose multi-layered alternatives which improve informatization promulgation in rural areas of Taegu, Kyungbuk areas. This research proposes following 6 alternatives, as informatization strategies to develop rural economics ; (1) construction of Agricultural Techno Park to advance and develop informatization in rural areas, (2) construction of communication super highway to strengthen information infrastructure, (3) construction of region-specific information system to provide agricultural information unique to its region or areas, (4) provision of agriculture-related information by establishing regional information centers separated by regions like North, South, Eastern regions etc., (5) establishment information, (6) establishment of information gallery of village to provide information needed. And this research also investigates specific contents progresses of various plans by various actors.

The earlier literature widely documented the role of natural resources in economic development and confined their findings either in support of resource blessing growth or resource curse hypothesis. The ample research on the stated theme has available in the relevant databases, supported with empirical data, while a few studies used a case study or mixed-method approach. The study identified plenty of room on a given topic by conducting a systematic literature review and synthesizing the literature in more meaningful inferences. After a thorough investigation of the literature review through systematic intervention, the study concludes that natural resource management is imperative for a country's sustained growth. Simultaneously, it is desirable to reduce resource conflicts, improve institutional performance, decrease corruption, and stabilize the political environment to get maximum natural resource management potential globally.

Environmental issues caused by our dependence on fossil fuels have caused our society to move toward new renewable sources of energy and chemicals. In this study, we develop an integrated process that co-produces butene oligomer (i.e., biofuels) and 1,3-butadiene (i.e., monomer for the production of synthetic rubber). To minimize utility consumption, we conduct heat integration. Then, we conduct a range of techno-economic analysis and life-cycle assessment to investigate economic and environmental feasibility of the proposed process.

We investigate the influence of nonlinear viscoelastic damping on the response of a cantilever sensor covered by piezoelectric layers in a symmetric or asymmetric configuration. We formulate an initial-boundary-value problem which consistently incorporates both geometric and material nonlinearities including the effect of viscoelastic damping which cannot be ignored for micro- and nano-mechanical sensor operation in a vacuum environment. We employ an asymptotic multiple-scales methodology to yield the system nonlinear frequency response near its primary resonance and employ a model-based estimation procedure to deduce the system damping backone curve from controlled experiments in vacuum. We discuss the effect of nonlinear damping on sensor applications for scanning probe microscopy.

In this work, dynamic stability analysis of the ball after contacting with the earth in the volleyball game is presented. Via spherical shell coordinate, the governing equations and general boundary conditions of the ball after contacting with the earth in the volleyball game is studied. Via Comsol multi-physics simulation, some results are presented and a verification between the outcomes is studied. Harmonic differential quadrature method (HDQM) is utilized to solve the dynamic equations with the aid of boundary nodes of the current spherical shell structure. Finally, the results demonstrated that thickness, mass of the ball and internal pressure of the ball alters the frequency response of the structure. One important results of this study is influence of the internal pressure. Higher internal pressure causes lower frequency and hence reduces the stability of the ball.
