In this paper, a new index(joint index) which shows the higher confidence than that of the existing technical indices and has simple logical structure and an index which is an applied form of the existing index(OBV-I index) are proposed. The index characteristics which have been known are verified by choosing the three most used technical indices(ADR index, investment psychological rate and VR index) as samples. And the index characteristics of the joint index are compared to those of the OBV-I index. The comparisons are executed not by comparing the investment earning rate of each index but by calculating the unnecessary number of trade days in the total number of trade days according to the index.

The paper is concerned with the analytical description of a resistance mechanism, not considered in previous models, by which the hoops contribute to the shear capacity of RC columns with circular cross sections. The difference from previous approaches consists in observing that, because of deformation, the hoops change their original shape and, as a consequence, their slope does not match anymore the original one in the neighborhood of a crack. The model involves two parameters only, namely the crack inclination and the hoop strain in the neighborhood of a crack. A closed-form analytical formulation to correlate the average value of the crack width and the hoop strain is also provided. Results obtained using the proposed model have been compared with experimental data, and a satisfactory agreement is found.

The propeller performance has been investigated using a benchmark Duisburg Test Case ship with RANSE. First, the hydrodynamic characteristics of propeller in case of open water have been analyzed by a commercial CFD program and the results are compared with those of experimental data. Later, the flow around the bare hull has been solved and the frictional resistance value and form factor of the ship have been obtained and compared with those of ITTC57 formulation and experimental results for validation. The free surface effect has been ignored. A good agreement has been obtained between the results of RANSE and experiments at both stages. Then the ship - propeller interaction problem was solved by RANSE and the differences in thrust, torque and efficiency of propeller as compared with the open-water numerical results have been discussed.

본 논문은 잎의 외형을 이용한 산나물 자동 인식 시스템을 제안한다. 더 나은 산나물 자동 인식 시스템을 위해 잎의 외형 추출뿐만 아니라 방향벡터를 이용하여 정확도를 향상시켰다. 이를 위해 BP와 HMM 알고리즘을 이용하여 개선하였고, 외형 특징점을 추출하여 표현하였다. 제안하는 시스템의 성능은 실험으로 증명하였으며, 어느 정도 의미 있는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

A significant problem met in engineering practice when designing cable-stayed bridges is the failure of cables. Many different factors can lead to sudden failure of cables, such as corrosion, continuous friction or abrasion, progressive and extended crevice created by fatigue and finally an explosion caused by sabotage or accident, are some of the causes that can lead to the sudden failure of one or more cables. This paper deals with the sudden failure of cables in a special form of cable-stayed bridges with a single line of cables anchored at the central axis of the deck's cross-section. The analysis is carried out by the modal superposition technique where an analytical method developed by the authors in a previous work has been employed.

To analyze the characteristics of Orientalism which is expressed in the fashion of the 1990's this study was examined according to three aspects such as form textiles and pattern and the aspects was considered with regard to Chinese Indian Japanese Korean, Southeas Asian and North African style. 1. In form Orientalism which is influenced by latest other fashion trend; Naturalism and Minimalism is expressed as a comfortable casual style which simplifies the way of wearing and mixes the characteristic elements of folk costume with western costume. The way of layerd wearing like knotting wrapping draping and the symbolic from which is inspired by the unique are of each country are shown. 2. In textiles Chinese Japanese and Indian silk as well as Southeast Asian and North African cotton show a splendid oriental impression using vivid color. On the other hand the linens of Korea like hemp and ramie emphasize natural characteristics and show a simple and unartificial oriental beauty. But in the use of material and color it shows a remarkable tendency to break the preconceived idea by coordinating a luxurious silk with a practical denim or harmonizing technical new-masterials with traditional materials. 3. In pattern the decorative elements of Orientalism such as a traditional pattern skills to dye embroidery and other decorations are emphasized on the form of western costume. The sketchy patterns of Chinese Korean and Japanese styles which include the pattern of a flower a bamboo and a butterfly are expressed using embroidery or textile printing. The geometrical seriate patterns of Southeast Asian and North African styles use traditional dyeing methods like Batik. Also the Indian technique of decoration like Mirro Work satisfies handcrafted royalty and feminine romantic taste in modern minimal fashion. The Orientalism expressed in the fashion of 1990's emphasizes the characteristics of people wearing colthing which break the preconceived idea by simplifying the form harmonizing differences between oriental and western cultures and mixing the elements of traditional costumes among countries. Most of all. Ethno using geonmetrical seriate pattern and technical new metal material and Romantic Ethnic using flower embroidery precious stones and beads are appearing as a distinctinve feature.

As a recent technical approach, a high-speed planing hull was tried to realize a friction reducing system by simultaneously actuating the triple streamlined step hull form in association with optimum speed of 35 knot planing for fishing boat. In this approach, the streamlined step hull form with triple structure of type was attached under the bottom of high-speed planing hull, while a friction resistance is reduced in the process of running at the speed of 35 knot. In addition, this research was to make a performance test as to the manufactured product and acquire the purposed values and the development items. Actually, after manufacturing the desired prototype of high-speed planing hull, the significant items, fuel efficiency (second) and amount of fuel consumption (degree) including maximum speed (knot) were estimated for a performance test. And tensile strength (MPa) and bend strength (MPa) as to the completed prototype like a high speed planing hull were also acquired during the test.

The dress culture of Korea and Turkey should be necessary to study in view of a similar culture of Korea and Turkey due to similarity of oriental culture. Thus, as two nation's dress is investigated, cultural characteristics and dress form of two nations are analyzed with cultural background in detail. Also, comprehension is determinated for the dress color and texture as well as dress culture. In this paper, It is investigated theoretically for the function, type, and class of dress. Also, The form of Korean Po are compared to background of Turkish dress and Sulltans' dress form. To unify a cultural propagation and dress form, technical, inductive contents analytical method as well as literature review are used in positivism. Subject is limited to the Korean Po and Sultans' dress of Turkey. As a results, as the nation's dress reflect to culture and society of the nation, Korean dress have some similarity and differences comparing Turkish dress as followings. In dress form of two nation, rectangular Gil's shape was very similar. Mu's shape was similar too. However, Sultans' dress had outside shape of caftan type and Po had full or partial wrinkles by transforming Mu. Also, Sultans' dress did not have Sup. Korean Po have side slits or back side slits and Jun-Sam but Sultans' dress had only some side slits.

In view of the fact that the technical grade alcohol sold in Korea contains considerable amount of ammonia (average 10 ppm), the author has investigated a new method of removal of ammonia by the addition of dl-tartaric acid. It was found that the ammonia contained in sample alcohol was removed completely, by the addition of dl-tartaric acid, to form ammonium bitartrate.
