폐암의 생체 수소자기공명분광법의 실행가능성 (Feasibility of $In$ $vivo$ Proton Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy for Lung Cancer)

  • 목적: 폐암의 생체 수소자기공명분광법의 실행가능성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 이 전향적 연구는 해당병원의 임상시험심사위원회로 승인을 받았고 모든 환자로부터 사전동의를 받았다. 병리적으로 폐암으로 확인된 (평균 직경, 56.8 mm; 범위, 44-77 mm) 10명의 환자들에서 (남자 7명, 여자 3명; 평균나이, 64.4세) 단일 복셀 수소자기공명분광기법으로 호흡 유발 PRESS (point-resolved spectroscopic sequence)를 사용하여 1.5 T 수소자기공명 분광법을 시행하였다. 스펙트럼 습득의 기술적 성공률을 평가하고 실패한 증례들의 이유를 고찰하였다. 결과: 10개의 폐암 중 8개 폐암에서 분석 가능한 수소자기공명 분광 스펙트럼을 획득했다 (기술적 성공률, 80%). 두 개의 수소자기공명 분광 데이터는 심각한 기준치 왜곡으로 분석할 수 없었다. 대표적인 대사물질로 choline과 lipid들이 관찰되었다. 결론: 비록 제한적 수의 환자에서의 결과이지만 폐암에서 얻어진 생체 수소 자기공명 분광 스펙트럼이 분석가능하고 높은 성공률로 획득하였기 때문에 폐암 환자에서 호흡 유발 PRESS 방법을 사용한 생체 수소자기공명분광법이 실행가능하다고 판단된다.

악성 위출구 폐쇄 치료의 선택: 스텐트 삽입술 혹은 수술적 우회술? (Pyloric Obstruction with Advanced Gastric Cancer: Stent vs. Bypass)

  • 악성 위장관 협착에 의한 폐쇄 증상의 개선을 위하여 과거에는 고식적인 수술적 우회술을 주로 시행하였으나, 최근 내시경적 스텐트 삽입술이 개발되고 기술적 진보와 임상 경험이 축적됨에 따라 새로운 치료 방침의 하나로 확립되었다. 스텐트 삽입술은 고식적 우회술에 비해 시술이 간편하여 성공률이 높고 비침습적이며 단기간에 증상을 개선시키고 시술과 관련된 이환률이 적다는 장점이 있으며 시술에 필요한 입원기간이 짧고 비용면에서 더욱 효과적일 수 있다. 반면 종양의 스텐트 내발육 혹은 위산이나 담즙에 의한 스텐트 손상, 스텐트 일탈 등의 합병증이 발생하여 폐쇄 증상이 조기에 재발하고 재시술이 필요할 수 있다는 문제점이 있어 최근에는 스텐트 일탈을 예방하고 종양의 내발육을 극복할 수 있는 다양한 종류의 스텐트가 개발되어 임상에 응용되고 있다. 일반적으로 악성 위장관 폐쇄에 의한 폐쇄 증상의 완화를 목적으로 하는 스텐트 삽입술은 기대 여명이 6개월 이하인 환자에서 효과적이고 그 이상의 생존이 기대되는 환자에서는 고식적 우회술을 시행하는 것이 적합한 치료 방침으로 생각된다. 본 종설에서는 악성 위출구 폐쇄 환자의 치료에서 쟁점이 되고 있는 스텐트 삽입술과 수술적 우회술 중 어떤 치료가 보다 적절한가를 판단하기 위해서 기술적 측면, 임상 증상의 개선, 합병증, 비용 대비 효과 등을 문헌 고찰을 통해 비교함으로써 적절한 치료 방법의 선택에 대한 해답을 찾고자 한다.

Organosolv 전처리를 통한 리기다소나무의 바이오에탄올 생산 적용성 평가 (Evaluation of Pitch Pine for Bioethanol Production by Organosolv Pretreatment)

  • In this study, the feasibility of utilizing wood chips from pitch pine (Pinus rigida) was evaluated for bioethanol production by an organosolv pretreatment and enzymatic saccharification. When wood chips from pitch wood were pretreated with 75% (v/v) ethanol and 1.7% sulfuric acid as a catalyst at H-factor 2000, average pulp yield was 43.3%, which pretreated wood fibers showed higher glucan (55.8%) and lower lignin (12.2%) contents than untreated control (43.9% glucan and 27.8% lignin). After enzymatic saccharification, the organosolv pulps with 56.2% delignification rate reached above 97% conversion rate of cellulose to glucose. These results indicated that increasing the delignification rate causes micro pores on the surface of organosolv pulps resulting in improved the accessibility of enzyme onto the substrate. Moreover, it was in agreement with the SEM examination of wood fibers.

수산자원조성사업의 합리적인 평가체계 도입 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Establishing the Evaluation System of the Stock Enhancement Program)

  • The main goal of the study is to propose an objective and standardized evaluation system of stock enhancement programs. In order to achieve this goal, the study first suggested the need for stock enhancement program evaluation system through the review of current status and problems. Second, the study identified possible problems of the existing stock enhancement program evaluation by reviewing domestic and foreign evaluation systems. Finally the study proposed a new evaluation system and implementation plan of it. This study also classified the program evaluation criteria into ex-ante evaluation and ex-post evaluation according to the evaluation point in time, and applied the economic, political and technical feasibility tests into the evaluation of the stock enhancement program in order to solve the current problems of the evaluation. The evaluation process of the stock enhancement program is composed of an evaluation system design, estimation of weights using the analytical hierarchy process, design of estimation standard, conversion of scores and final summary of the evaluation. The central government takes the lead in the evaluation of the regional (metropolitan city or province) projects and the regional government is in charge of the evaluation of the local (city or county) projects. For the implementation of the ex-ante evaluation, either the regional or local governments ask for the evaluation and then submit an evaluation plan and other necessary documents to the upper level governments. The ex-post evaluation is then carried out by the upper level governments.

  • Recently, as the weight reduction of vehicles has been actively progressed, parts developed using aluminum 60XX series from existing steel materials are increasing. In this paper, the bushing used for the front frame rail, which is one of the parts for fixing engines and other parts in automobiles, was changed to an aluminum material of the Al60XX series, and it was intended to be produced by applying of cold forging method. The bushing is a part that secures the engine frame, and in order to produce it by cold forging, the molding limit is predicted through process design, and a multi-stage process is designed through finite element analysis. In addition, in order to verify the feasibility of the designed forging process, the limits of the multi-step process were verified based on the Cockcroft Latham theory, and the crack and overlap of the actual forging work were predicted and improved.

해저열수광상 기술.경제성평가 모델 개발 (Development of Technical and Economic Evaluation Model for Seafloor Massive Sulfide Deposits)

  • The Kuroko-type seafloor massive sulfide deposits found in the western Pacific have been considered to have potentials for economic recovery of Au, Ag, Cu, Zn, and Pb. In this study, a preliminary model was developed for the technical and economic evaluation of them. The FRSC site on Lau Basin in the Tonga EEZ was selected as a target. In this study, no construction In for the metallurgical processing subsystem was accounted for. Instead, it was assumed to sell the Cu, Zn, and Pb concentrates to the existing sulfide customer smelter. The low total investment costs for the development make the venture very attractive. However, the result of the economic feasibility evaluation is still less attractive with the mean metal yield of the Kuroko on land. It is considered that commercial mining may be plausible if the richer metal yields are applied to the development. Quantitative information for metal yield is necessary for a more accurate evaluation. However, the important resource potential information regarding the amount of ore body, the inside structure, and the metal yields have not yet been clarified sufficiently. h addition, the flotation of ore body using seawater has not been tested yet. It is necessary to solve these problems through the experimental R&D and a survey.

Ubiquitous Architectural Framework for UbiSAS using Context Adaptive Rule Inference Engine

  • Recent ubiquitous computing environments increasingly impact on our lives using the current technologies of sensor network and ubiquitous services. In this paper, we propose ubiquitous architectural framework for ubiquitous sleep aid service(UbiSAS) in the subset of ubiquitous computing for refreshing of human's sleep. And we examine technical feasibility. Human can recover his health through refreshing sleep from fatigue. Ubiquitous architectural framework for UbiSAS in digital home offers agreeable sleeping environment and improves recovery from fatigue. So we present new concept of ubiquitous architectural framework dissolving stress. Specially, we apply context to context-aware framework module. This context is transferred to context adaptive inference engine which has service invocation function in intelligent agent module. Ubiquitous architectural framework for UbiSAS using context adaptive rule inference engine without user intervention is technical issue. That is to say, we should take sleep comfortably during our sleeping. And sensed information during sleeping is changed to context-aware information. This presents significant information in context adaptive rule inference engine for UbiSAS. This information includes all sleeping state during sleeping in context-aware computing technique. So we propose more effective and most suitable ubiquitous architectural framework using context adaptive rule inference engine for refreshing sleep in this paper.

해상 풍력발전단지 조성에 따른 레이더 전파간섭 저감 기술동향 (Technical Trend of Radar Radio Interference Reduction Relating to Construction of the Offshore Wind Farm)

  • The wind power generation is an eco-friendly clean energy that produces almost zero $CO_2$ emission, and has a good economic feasibility. As for the location, the installation of large turbines and construction of large-scale wind farm is easier on the offshore than on the land. In Korea, it is inevitable to generate offshore wind power through the offshore wind farm, and the radio interference of larger wind power generators and offshore wind power farm to broadcasting, communication and radars is becoming a core issue for constructing the offshore wind farm. In this study, the wind power generation status and rotor blade technology trend were presented, along with the technical trend of radar radio interference reduction relating to construction of the offshore wind farm.

오존 처리에 의한 목재 세포벽의 미세구조변화와 효소가수분해 (Enzymatic hydrolysis and micro-structure of ozone treated wood meal)

  • Pine (Pinus densiflora) and aspen (Populus euramericana) wood meals were treated with ozone at various time schedule in acidic condition. The lignin contents and surface area of the ozone treated wood meals were determined and the enzymatic hydrolysis rate of ozonated wood meals was evaluated. The feasibility of enzymatic hydrolysis of the ozone treated wood meal was obviously influenced with the degree of delignification. After ozone treatment of wood meal for 10min, total pore volume were slightly increased in the surface of wood meal. When wood meals were treated with ozone longer than 10min, few change in the pore volume was observed. However, the area of over $50{\AA}$ of pore size is increased with ozonation time. As a conclusion, the rate of enzymatic hydrolysis of wood is more effective with the pore size distribution than the total pore volume.

Deep Learning Object Detection to Clearly Differentiate Between Pedestrians and Motorcycles in Tunnel Environment Using YOLOv3 and Kernelized Correlation Filters

  • With increasing criminal rates and number of CCTVs, much attention has been paid to intelligent surveillance system on the horizon. Object detection and tracking algorithms have been developed to reduce false alarms and accurately help security agents immediately response to undesirable changes in video clips such as crimes and accidents. Many studies have proposed a variety of algorithms to improve accuracy of detecting and tracking objects outside tunnels. The proposed methods might not work well in a tunnel because of low illuminance significantly susceptible to tail and warning lights of driving vehicles. The detection performance has rarely been tested against the tunnel environment. This study investigated a feasibility of object detection and tracking in an actual tunnel environment by utilizing YOLOv3 and Kernelized Correlation Filter. We tested 40 actual video clips to differentiate pedestrians and motorcycles to evaluate the performance of our algorithm. The experimental results showed significant difference in detection between pedestrians and motorcycles without false positive rates. Our findings are expected to provide a stepping stone of developing efficient detection algorithms suitable for tunnel environment and encouraging other researchers to glean reliable tracking data for smarter and safer City.
