  • This study examines the efficient use of radio frequencies, which become one of the new economic resources, with civil and military cooperation. The current status of radio frequency resource and its future demands are predicted. Some problems and solutions regarding the civil and military usage of frequencies are suggested. Finally, economic, systematic and technical plans are presented for efficient use of frequencies.

  • The key development issues in the flexible displays are TFT backplane technology for their various applications, which requires competitive device performance as well as its low temperature process. In this paper, with shortly reviewing recent flexible display development status, we describe technical trends of low-temperature a-Si TFTs. Our TFTs show good device characteristics enough to apply LCD and electrophoretic display.

  • Through USN field Test Projects launched in 2005, 9 USN application service models such as u-Ocean, u-Construction, u-Farm, u-Hospital has been deployed. We conducted technical, industrial, economical feasibility tests to verify those services. This thesis will cover briefly the current situation of USN industry domestically and internationally. It will show the future prospect of convergence service model based on USN in conjunction with research details and results from previous USN field Test Projects.

  • 우리나라의 잠사업은 농가의 소득증대와 수출산업으로서 계속 성장해 왔다. 그러나 지금까지는 양적인 광대에 치중한 나머지 질적인 면에서 미흡한 점이 있어 국제수준에 비하면 그생산수준이 상당히 낮은 실정에 있다. 그러므로 잠사업이 계속 안정된 산업으로 성장발전해 나가자면 무엇보다 생산량과 직결되는 양잠농가의 기술적인 개량과 경영의 합리화를 꾀하여 생산성의 향상을 기하고 생산비를 절감하여 농가의 실질소득을 증대시키는 동시에 국제시장에 있어서의 경쟁력을 강화해야 할 것이다.(중략)

The technical and economical status in wave energy conversion is outlined. Power and energy efficiency relationships are discussed. Many different types of wave-energy converters have been detailed. The progress in wave energy conversion in Malaysia is reviewed.

  • A very important feature in the development of nuclear technology has been and will continue to be the flow of information from nuclear data production to the various applications fields in nuclear technology. Both, nuclear data and this communications flow are defined in this paper. Nuclear data result from specific technical activities including their production, evaluation, processing, verification, validation and applications. These activities are described, focusing on nuclear reactor calculations. Mathematical definitions of different types of nuclear data are introduced, and international forums involved in nuclear data activities are listed. Electronic links to various sources of information available on the web are specified, whenever possible.

  • It is imperative that Schools of Pharmacy push the frontiers of their science. Those professions that do not do their own research are technical fields and not professions. With that imperative it is important to develop a perspective on the historic evolution of research in Schools of Pharmacy, that was in concert with the subject matter of the professional curriculum, and has changed somewhat in modem times to reflect not only our professional program but also our mandate to graduate student education and training and to elevate the status of schools of pharmacy in research intensive universities.
