INTEGRAL METHODS OF FUZZY AHP AND DSM FOR EVALUATION IN PARTITIONING DESIGN TEAMS

  • Many construction activities are related because they share the information of working methods and resources. Generally, the design information for coupled activities needs to be constantly collaborated in the different teams. To achieve the improvement in team collaboration, it is necessary to identify the relative coupled activities in the design teams. The activity and work partitioning arrangements are also required to accommodate the appropriate team members. This paper presents an integral method to be an evaluation in improving the collaboration for teams partitioning. A model, Team Partitioning Method (TPM) was developed to clarify the relationships between activities in a team. The results show the applicability of TPM model in team partitioning for design collaboration.

Evaluation of concurrent immunizations with equine influenza virus and strangles vaccines

  • Despite regular vaccinations, equine influenza virus (EIV) and Streptococcus equi subsp. equi (strangles) are the cause of highly contagious respiratory infections in horses. Many recent studies have reported that the concurrent administration of two vaccines could simplify horse management and minimize veterinary expenses. However, there is little information available regarding the efficacy of concurrent vaccinations against EIV and strangles. In this study, we evaluated EIV-specific antibody responses following the single EIV vaccination with the recombinant viral-vectored EIV vaccine or concurrent vaccination with the EIV and inactivated strangles vaccines. Blood samples were collected at 1-, 2-, 4-, and 8 weeks post-immunization (wpi) from each group. EIV-specific antibodies were evaluated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and hemagglutination inhibition (HAI) assay. Both single and concurrent vaccination showed similar levels of EIV-specific serum immunoglobulin g (IgG) at 1 and 2 wpi. However, at 4 to 8 wpi, the EIV-only vaccination group showed significantly higher serum IgG levels than those from the concurrently vaccinated group. The HAI titers showed similar trends as the ELISA data, except at 8 wpi when both groups presented HAI titers with no significant differences. These data demonstrate that the concurrent vaccination against EIV and strangles could compromise the humoral immune response to equine influenza between vaccination intervals, which suggests the use of the consecutive vaccination protocol for EIV and strangles rather than concurrent vaccination.

최고경영자 팀이 의료기관의 성과에 미치는 영향 (Top Management Team Heterogeneity, Interaction and Organizational Performance in Korean Hospitals)

  • This study empirically analyzed the effects of the Top Management Team (TMT) on organizational performance. We verified whether the age heterogeneity, job heterogeneity (core career, core function and major), and process (communication and integration) of the TMT affect organizational performance (management performance and healthcare service quality evaluation level). We collected data about 473 members of the 2006 TMT in 81 medical institutions. We also utilized statistics of organizational performance from the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs and the Korean Institute of Hospital Management. Results of the study showed that the age heterogeneity of TMT exerted a negative effect on the healthcare service quality evaluation level, while the process exerted a positive effect. However, the age heterogeneity, job heterogeneity, and process had no influence on management performance. We discussed the implications of such outcome of the investigation in comparison with the former studies on TMT and organizational performance, and presented its restrictions and future plans.

  • Design class through team activities is increasing in engineering education. Team-based education has been known to improve students' creativity, problem solving ability, cooperative ability, self-directed learning ability, and communication ability. How to organize a team is an important issue that affects the performance of team activities as well as student satisfaction. However, previous studies have focused on the causal relationship between team formation and the team's performance. This paper deals with how to organize a balanced team in a real class. When the basic characteristic values of students are givens, the aim is to make the sum of the characteristic values as fair as possible for each team. We propose a mathematical team formation model and show how to apply it through case studies.

팀장의 윤리적 리더십이 팀원들의 역할 내 행동과 긍정심리자본에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 괴리현상의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Ethical Leadership on In-Role Behavior and Psychological Capital: The Moderating Role of Management Decoupling and Personal Decoupling)

  • 거대기업들의 분식회계와 비윤리적인 기업경영, 리더십의 부재를 지켜보면서 본 연구는 팀장의 윤리적 리더십이 팀원들의 역할 내 행동과 긍정심리자본에 미치는 영향력을 실증적으로 규명하고 경영진 괴리현상과 개인 괴리현상의 조절효과를 분석하고 있다. 팀을 이끌어가고 있는 팀장의 윤리적 리더십이 팀원들에게 제대로 받아들여짐으로써 긍정적인 성과를 가져올 수 있지만 조직의 최종의사결정자인 최고경영진이 조직의 미션과 일치되지 않는 행동을 보이는 경영진 괴리현상을 인지할 경우, 윤리적 리더십의 긍정적인 효과가 방해를 받거나 상쇄될 가능성이 있다. 또한 팀원들 자신의 행동이 조직의 미션과 일치되지 않는 개인 괴리현상을 인지할 경우에도 윤리적 리더십의 효과는 감소될 수 있다는 점에서 윤리적 리더십과 괴리현상의 상호작용효과를 분석하는 것은 중요하다. 은행, 반도체회사, 대학병원에 종사하고 있는 922명의 종업원 데이터를 분석한 결과, 팀장의 윤리적 리더십은 팀원들의 역할 내 행동과 긍정심리자본에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 경영진 괴리현상의 조절효과가 검증됨으로써 조직의 미션과 다르게 행동하는 경영진 괴리현상이 윤리적 리더십의 긍정적인 효과를 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 윤리적 리더십과 경영진 괴리현상이 조직의 실무자에게 주는 함의점에 대해 논의하였다.

다발성 중증 외상 환자들의 치료에 대한 응급 외상팀 운영의 효과 (Effect of the Emergency Trauma Team's Management on the Treatment of Patients with Multiple Severe Trauma)

  • Purpose: We performed this study to determine how the emergency trauma team affects the treatment of patients with multiple severe trauma and to discuss the effect and the direction of the emergency trauma team's management. Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of 518 patients who visited our emergency department with severe trauma from August 2006 to July 2008. We divided the severe trauma patients into 2 groups : patients before and after trauma team management (Group 1 and Group 2). Then, we compared demographic characteristics, mechanisms of injury, and treatment outcomes (lengths of stay in the ED, admission ratio, and in-hospital mortality) between the 2 groups. In the same way, patients with multiple severe trauma were divided into 2 groups, that are patients before and after trauma team management (Group 3 and Group 4) and analyzed. Results: There was no significant difference, except mean age, between groups 1 and 2. In group 4 patients, compared to group 3 patients, the lengths of stay in the ED were lower (p value < 0.001), and the admission ratio were higher (p value = 0.017), but there was no significant difference in the in-hospital mortality between the groups 3 and 4. Conclusion: When patients with multiple severe trauma visit the ED, the emergency trauma team' management can decrease the lengths of stay in the ED and increase the admission ratio, but does not produce a decrease in the in-hospital mortality rate. Further investigations of emergency trauma team management are needed to improve treatment outcomes for patients with multiple severe trauma.

경영학 수업에서 팀 프로젝트활동과 수업만족에 관한 연구 (Team Project Activity and Satisfaction in Business Education)

  • 2010년도에 들어서면서 학령인구의 감소와 함께 고등학교 졸업생들의 대학진학률 하향추세로, 대학들은 학생 선발과 양질의 교육콘텐츠 제공이라는 2중의 어려움에 직면하고 있다. 이에 각 대학은 환경의 변화에 대한 신속한 대응과 동시에 다양하고 전문화된 대학교육서비스(팀기반 프로젝트학습, 사례연구, e-러닝, 액션러닝 등)를 도입하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대학생을 대상으로 팀기반 프로젝트학습이 수업만족에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 하였다. 이를 위한 측정항목으로 4개 요인(팀 응집력, 팀워크, 팀 성과 및 목표달성)을 설정하고, 설문조사(4개 과목, 34팀, 134명)를 통해서 자료를 수집하여, 구조방정식모형으로 분석했다. 연구모형검증 결과는 팀 응집력${\rightarrow}$팀워크${\rightarrow}$수업만족의 구조가 제시되었으며, 팀 성과와 목표달성은 수업만족에 미치는 영향이 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 팀기반 프로젝트학습의 경우 팀응집력이 높아야 수업만족정도가 높아지는 것으로 분석되었다.

팀 혁신성과 성과에 대한 팀 내, 팀 간 사회적 연결의 영향: IT 지원에 기반하여 (The Impact of Intra-Team and Inter-Team Social Ties on Team Innovativeness and Performance: On the Basis of IT Support)

  • 사회적 연결은 현재 경쟁적인 사회에서 중요한 역할을 한다고 알려져 왔다. 본 연구의 주요 목적은 팀 혁신성과 성과에 팀 내, 팀 간 사회적 연결의 영향을 파악하는 것이다. 6개 회사의 97개 팀 데이터를 통해, 본 연구는 (i) 어떻게 팀 내, 팀 간 사회적 연결이 팀 혁신성과 팀 성과에 영향을 미치는지, (ii) 어떻게 IT 지원이 두 사회적 연결을 촉진시키는지 보려고 한다. 팀 기반 분석으로, 팀 구성원간(팀 내) 강한 사회적 연결이 팀 혁신성을 증진시킴과 같이 성과에도 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였다. 하지만 팀 간 사회적 연결의 경우, 강한 연결이 팀 혁신성을 통하여 팀 성과에 영향을 주는 것을 밝혔다. 그리고, IT 지원이 이 두 사회적 연결 모두를 상당히 강하게 만들어 주는 것을 보였다.
