  • The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of infant teachers' stress coping strategies and directors' emotional leadership on intention to change jobs. The subjects in this study were 156 infant teachers working in child care centers in Gangwon-do province. A Stress coping strategies questionnaire and intention to change jobs questionnaire, and directors' emotional leadership questionnaire were used for this study. For the research analysis, frequency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient, and Pearson's correlation were calculated and regression analysis were conducted. The results are as follows. Firstly, it was revealed that the scale of intention to change jobs decreases as the scales of problem-focused coping strategies and directors' emotional leadership increase. As the scales of directors' emotional leadership also increase, the scales of problem-focused and social support seeking coping strategies increases. Secondly, it is revealed that infant teachers' problem-focused coping strategies have a statistically meaningful negative influence on intention to change jobs. Thirdly, directors' emotional leadership is also shown to have a statistically meaningful negative influence on infant teachers' intention to change jobs. In order to reduce infant teachers' intention to change jobs, this study can provide a basic guideline to develop programs that enhance directors' emotional leadership and infant teachers' stress coping attitudes.

  • This study looked into the procedures of and the status on the implementation of the new mathematics curriculum at the secondary school level(7th through 10th grades). This study examined schools and the teachers were subjects for the actual implementation of the mathematics classroom. More specifically it examined the degree to which the particular innovation ideas of the 7th mathematics curriculum(i.e., reorganization , student-centeredness, diversification/specialization) were being carried out at every stage of the curriculum implementation. Nationwide survey for teachers including students were conducted along with classroom observation and teacher interviews. For an in-depth study into the process and the product of mathematics curriculum implementation, two provincial boards of education participated in the project as research partners. Detailed documentation on the classroom practices were made in order to provide schools and teachers including policy makers with relevant and practical suggestions for further improvement of mathematics curriculum implementation. It was found that mathematics teachers generally were reconstructing the contents giving the priority to the needs of the learners. The concept of learner-centered-ness was reflected in teaching objectives, contents, instructional methods and evaluation. In most schools observed, emphasis was given to the reorganization of the curriculum contents fitting to the concept of 'student-centered' curriculum. The efforts by teachers to diversity and/or specialize the curriculum contents with consideration of various educational conditions such as student readiness, student abilities, classroom equipment and facilities, school locations and environment were found.

  • A topic of particular interest for biotech researchers are handling of human tissue specimens that may be used for present, or stored for future, research purposes. This article examines the ethical and legal legitimacy of using human materials for research purposes with special attention to the issues of informed consent and confidentiality. The purpose of this paper is moral and for law legitimacy exploring of the utilization of the human material without donator's consent. It is a known fact that future medical care should be exchanged a paradigm by preventive health care through a human meterial research. The developed country have established a biobank for a human meterial research and supported a researcher. Korea is the same, too. When it is done a defect, as for the thing researcher derived from the Korean human meterial research. The written consent of the donator can keep a human meterial research origin thing, but cannot use it now. I will justify morally and for law that researcher can use the human material without written consent. We can change the concept of recycling of human material. It is not mean only burning that recycling of human materials for research.

  • This study is to recognize importance of casing anxiety on mathematics for underachievers and to examine a plan to solve a problem with anxiety, by analyzing factors which make underachievers anxious on the mathematics. First, we analyze factors which make mathematical underachievers anxious on the mathematics. Second, we compare and analyze a level of anxiety on the mathematics and factors which cause anxiety on the mathematics according to their grade and gender. This study's participants were 308 mathematical underachievers at 4th, 5th, and 6th grade, studying at six different elementary schools in three different areas. The results of factors which make mathematical underachievers anxious on the mathematics obtained from the survey are as follows. First, in the top-category factor, mathematical underachievers are influenced by following factors in order, which are a mathematic subject, learner's attitude, environment, and a teacher. Second, in the factor of making students anxious on the mathematics according tn their grade, although the mathematic anxiety of students at 6th grade is higher than students at 4th and 5th grade, in the anxiety differences between the different grades. Third, in the factors which make the students anxious on the mathematics according to their gender, female students show more anxiety than male students. In summary, an anxiety of the underachievers at the elementary schools are different in the top and sub-category factor, according to their grades and their gender. It is shown that the underachievers feel more anxiety compared to normal elementary schools, and therefore the anxiety on the mathematics is one of the causes of under-achievement of the mathematics.

  • The study aimed to explore how to improve mathematical thinking through metacognitive learning by stressing metacognitive abilities as a core strategy to increase mathematical creativity and problem-solving abilities. Theoretical exploration was followed by an analysis of correlations between metacognitive abilities and various ways of mathematical thinking. Various metacognitive teaching and learning methods used by many teachers at school were integrated for sharing. Also, the methods of learning application and assessment of metacognitive thinking were explored. The results are as follows: First, metacognitive abilities were positively related to 'reasoning, communication, creative problem solving and commitment' with direct and indirect effects on mathematical thinking. Second, various megacognitive ability-applied teaching and learning methods had positive impacts on definitive areas such as 'anxiety over Mathematics, self-efficacy, learning habit, interest, confidence and trust' as well as cognitive areas such as 'learning performance, reasoning, problem solving, metacognitive ability, communication and expression', which is a result applicable to top, middle and low-performance students at primary and secondary education facilities. Third, 'metacognitive activities, metaproblem-solving process, personal strength and weakness management project, metacognitive notes, observation tables and metacognitive checklists' for metacognitive learning were suggested as alternatives to performance assessment covering problem-solving and thinking processes. Various metacognitive learning methods helped to improve creative and systemic problem solving and increase mathematical thinking. They did not only imitate uniform problem-solving methods suggested by a teacher but also induced direct experiences of mathematical thinking as well as adjustment and control of the thinking process. The study will help teachers recognize the importance of metacognition, devise and apply teaching or learning models for their teaching environments, improving students' metacognitive ability as well as mathematical and creative thinking.

  • The symbiotic activities of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) by analyzing spore density, symbiosis intensity and vertical distribution of AMF spores, phytomasses of higher plants such as Calamagrostis epigeios, Imperata cylindrica, Artemisia scoparia, Aster tripolium and Sonchus brachyotus, and physico-chemical properties of soil were determined in the rhizospheres of higher plants in abandoned two coastal reclaimed lands, which were constructed in 12 and 30 years ago, respectively. Vertical distribution of the AMF spores in the rhizospheres of higher plants was restricted within 20 cm depth from soil surface, which would be closely related with vertical distribution of root system, water table and soil aeration. Of vertical distribution of soil properties, W.C., A-P and K concentrations were increased as soil depth was lowered. In the coastal reclaimed lands, symbiotic activities of the AMF such as spore density and symbiotic intensity, were conspicuously stimulated by the increase of soil pH value, organic matter and total nitrogen concentrations, but inhibited by the increase of moisture, available phosphorus and sodium concentrations in the rhizosphere soil. Phosphorus absorption by higher plants growing in the reclaimed lands increased by the rise of symbiotic activities of AMF. Since symbiotic activities of AMF were stimulated with decreasing soil phosphorus concentrations, higher plants associated with AMF absorbed a large amount of phosphorus from the soil is low phosphorus concentrations.
