2차원 BJT의 전기적 특성 및 왜곡 해석 시뮬레이션 (Simulation for the analysis of distortion and electrical characteristics of a two-dimensional BJT)

  • A program was developed to analyze the electrical characteristics and harmonic distrotion in a two-dimensional silicon BJT. The finite difference equations of the small signal and its second and thired harmonics for basic semiconductor equations are formulated treating the nonlinearity and time dependence with Volterra series and Taylor series. The soluations for three sets of simultaneous equations were obtained sequantially by a decoupled iteration method and each set was solved by a modified Stone's algorithm. Distortion magins and ac parameters such as input impedance and current gains are calculated with frequency and load resistance as parameters. The distortion margin vs. load resistancecurves show cancellation minima when the pahse of output voltage shifts. It is shown that the distortionof small signal characteristics can be reduced by reducing the base width, increasing the emitter stripe length and reducing the collector epitaxial layer doping concentration in the silicon BJT structure. The simulation program called TRADAP can be used for the design and optimization of transistors and circuits as well as for the calculation of small signal and distortion solutions.

결합예측 방법을 이용한 인터넷 트래픽 수요 예측 연구 (A Study on Internet Traffic Forecasting by Combined Forecasts)

  • 최근 들어 ICT 분야의 발달에 따라 데이터 사용량의 급격한 증가로 인터넷 트래픽 사용량 예측은 중요성은 강조되고 있다. 이러한 예측치를 적절한 트래픽 관리와 제어를 위한 계획 수립에 도움을 준다. 본 논문은, 5분 단위의 인터넷 트래픽 자료를 이용하여 결합 예측 모형을 제안하고자 한다. 이에 대하여 시계열의 대표적인 3개 모형인 Seasonal ARIMA, Fractional ARIMA(FARIMA), Taylor의 수정된 Holt-Winters 모형을 적용하였다. 모형 간 결합 예측 방법으로 예측치 간의 SA(Simple Average) 결합 예측 방법과 OLS(Ordinary Least Square)를 이용한 결합방법, ERLS(Equality Restricted Least Squares)를 이용한 결합 예측 방법, Armstrong(2001)이 제안한 MSE 기반 결합 예측 방법을 사용한다. 이에 따른 결과로서 3시간에서의 예측은 Seasonal ARIMA가 선택된 반면, 6시간 이후 예측에서는 결합 예측 방법이 좋은 예측 성능을 보여준다.

시간지연 MIMO 비선형시스템의 MAC 제어기 설계 (MAC for MIMO Nonlinear System with Delayed Input)

  • 본 논문에서는 입력에 시간 지연이 존재하는 비선형 다중입출력(multi-input/multi-output (MIMO)) 시스템을 위한 디지털 제어기를 제안하였다. 다중 입력 시간 지연 비선형 시스템을 테일러의 추산 방법으로 이산화하고, 이 이산형 시스템을 일반적인 비선형 시스템으로 변환할 수 있다. 결과적으로, 일반 비선형 제어기를 이산형 시간 지연 시스템에 적용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 MAC 제어기를 설계하고 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 실시하여 제안된 방법의 성능을 검증하였다. 시뮬레이션의 결과 제안된 제어기는 비선형 다중입력 다중 시스템에 있어서 입력에 시간지연이 발생하더라도 시스템의 성능을 유지함을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 제안된 방법은 비선형 시간 지연 시스템의 제어에 유용함을 알 수 있다.

종규칙파중(縱規則波中)에서의 선박(船舶)의 부가저항(附加抵抗) 계산(計算) (On the Added Resistance of a Ship in a Regular Head Sea)

  • There have been many investigations of predicting the added resistance of a ship in seaway since Havelock discussed this topic in 1937. Among these researches, Maruo's theoretical approach is known as the most consistent mathematical representation for added resistance of a ship in regular head sea. In his theory, the hull form of a ship is represented under the slender body approximation. But the motion responses which were used for the calculation of the added resistance have been obtained by using the strip method which is based on an approximation that the hull form may be expressed as set of two dimensional cylinder sections in longitudinal direction. Therefore two different methods for hull form representation were implicity used in Maruo's original work for the added resistance calculation. Utilizing the characteristics that hull forms are usually slender, Kan expressed the hull form as two dimensional cylinder at each station by using the Taylor series expansion for the length wise direction. Putting this idea into Maruo's original work, the added resistance can be obtained with the explicitly unique representation of the hull form. For the purpose of comparison the added resistance of a hull form(series 60, Cb=0.6) was calculated by using the motion response obtained by Shintani. The numerical result showes a good qualitative agreement with the experimental result by Sibul.

2 차원 탐색 레이다를 위한 국부 항법 좌표계에서의 운동보상을 포함한 추적필터 (A Tracking Filter with Motion Compensation in Local Navigation Frame for Ship-borne 2D Surveillance Radar)

  • This paper presents a tracking filter with ship's motion compensation for a ship-borne radar tracking system. The ship's maneuver is described by displacement and rotational motions in the ship-centered east-north frame. The first order Taylor series approximation of the measurement error covariance of the converted measurement is derived in the ship-centered east-north frame. The ship's maneuver is compensated by incorporating the measurement error covariance of the converted measurement and displacement of the position state in the tracking filter. The simulation results via 500 Monte-Carlo runs show that the proposed method follows the target successfully and provides consistent tracking performance during ship's maneuvers while the conventional tracking filter without ship motion compensation fails to track during such periods.

Repetitive model refinement for structural health monitoring using efficient Akaike information criterion

  • The stiffness of a structure is one of several structural signals that are useful indicators of the amount of damage that has been done to the structure. To accurately estimate the stiffness, an equation of motion containing a stiffness parameter must first be established by expansion as a linear series model, a Taylor series model, or a power series model. The model is then used in multivariate autoregressive modeling to estimate the structural stiffness and compare it to the theoretical value. Stiffness assessment for modeling purposes typically involves the use of one of three statistical model refinement approaches, one of which is the efficient Akaike information criterion (AIC) proposed in this paper. If a newly added component of the model results in a decrease in the AIC value, compared to the value obtained with the previously added component(s), it is statistically justifiable to retain this new component; otherwise, it should be removed. This model refinement process is repeated until all of the components of the model are shown to be statistically justifiable. In this study, this model refinement approach was compared with the two other commonly used refinement approaches: principal component analysis (PCA) and principal component regression (PCR) combined with the AIC. The results indicate that the proposed AIC approach produces more accurate structural stiffness estimates than the other two approaches.

복합적층판의 변위 변동계수 산정을 위한 가중적분법 (Weighted Integral Method for an Estimation of Displacement COV of Laminated Composite Plates)

  • 탄성계수와 함께 포아송비는 구조의 거동을 결정하는 중요 구조인수중의 하나이다. 따라서 구조응답의 불확실성에 미치는 포아송비의 독립적 영향에 대한 평가가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 포아송비의 불확실성이 복합적층판의 거동에 미치는 영향을 산정하기 위한 정식화를 제안한다. 포아송비의 영향은 동일 차수인 임의인수의 영향을 포함하는 부행렬을 통하여 얻을 수 있으며, 이는 대상 인수의 평균을 중심으로 한 Taylor전개를 통하여 구할 수 있다. 제안방법의 검증을 위하여 예제 평판을 해석하였고, 그 결과를 몬테카를로 해석에 의한 결과와 비교하였다. 두 방법을 통하여 얻은 결과는 상화 잘 일치하는 결과를 나타내어, 제안한 방법이 적절함을 제시하였다.

열간 사상압연기의 장력 연산모델과 루퍼-장력 ILQ 서보 제어 (Tension Modeling and Looper-Tension ILQ Servo Control of Hot Strip Finishing Mills)

  • This paper designs a looper-tension controller for mass-flow stabilization in hot strip finishing mills. By Newton's 2nd law and Hooke's law, nonlinear dynamic equations on the looper-tension system are firstly derived, and linearized by a linearization algorithm using a Taylor's series expansion. Moreover, a tension calculation model is obtained from the nonlinear dynamic equations which is called as a soft sensor of strip tension between two neighboring stands. Next, a looper-tension servo controller is designed by an ILQ(Inverse Linear Quadratic optimal control) algorithm, and it is combined with a minimal disturbance observer which to attenuate speed disturbances by AGC and operator interventions, etc.. Finally, it is shown from by a computer simulation that the proposed ILQ controller with a disturbance observer is very effective in stabilizing the strip mass-flow under some disturbances, moreover it has a good command following performance.

K차 뉴톤-랍손 부동소수점수 N차 제곱근 (Kth order Newton-Raphson's Floating Point Number Nth Root)

  • In this paper, a tentative Kth order Newton-Raphson's floating point number Nth root algorithm for K order convergence rate in one iteration is proposed by applying Taylor series to the Newton-Raphson root algorithm. Using the proposed algorithm, $F^{-1/N}$ and $F^{-(N-1)/N}$ can be computed from iterative multiplications without division. It also predicts the error of the algorithm iteration and iterates only until the predicted error becomes smaller than the specified value. Since the proposed algorithm only performs the multiplications until the error gets smaller than a given value, it can be used to improve the performance of a floating point number Nth root unit.

  • Recent, problems on the voltage-instability have been paid attention in power system and methods to find the limit of voltage-stability, concerned with these problems, were developed. However, these methods are short of precision on the limit of voltage-instability. Here, using the second-order load flow, constraint equation(d Pi/d Vi=0) and its patial differentiations are precisely formulated. Also, since the taylor series expansion of power flow equations terminates at the second-order terms, partial differentiations of constraint equation, that is Hessian, are constant. Then, Hessian matrix are calculated once during iteration process.
