Multi-Objective Pareto Optimization of Parallel Synthesis of Embedded Computer Systems

  • The paper presents problems of optimization of the synthesis of embedded systems, in particular Pareto optimization. The model of such a system for its design for high-level of abstract is based on the classic approach known from the theory of task scheduling, but it is significantly extended, among others, by the characteristics of tasks and resources as well as additional criteria of optimal system in scope structure and operation. The metaheuristic algorithm operating according to this model introduces a new approach to system synthesis, in which parallelism of task scheduling and resources partition is applied. An algorithm based on a genetic approach with simulated annealing and Boltzmann tournaments, avoids local minima and generates optimized solutions. Such a synthesis is based on the implementation of task scheduling, resources identification and partition, allocation of tasks and resources and ultimately on the optimization of the designed system in accordance with the optimization criteria regarding cost of implementation, execution speed of processes and energy consumption by the system during operation. This paper presents examples and results for multi-criteria optimization, based on calculations for specifying non-dominated solutions and indicating a subset of Pareto solutions in the space of all solutions.

협력학습 기반 수업에서의 동료평가에 대한 수업 만족도 분석 (Analysis of class satisfaction with Peer Evaluation in Collaborative Learning-based classes)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 협력학습 기반 수업에서의 동료평가에 대한 수업 만족도를 분석하는 것이다. 협력학습 기반 수업에서 동료평가를 위한 수업 절차 설계, 동료평가 유형과 문항 개발, 동료평가 실시, 수업만족도 조사 및 분석하여 교육적 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 문제중심학습과 프로젝트 기반 수업으로 선정된 협력학습 기반 수업 참여자를 대상으로 하였다. 협력학습 기반 수업에서의 동료평가에 대한 수업 만족도는 수도권 소재 A대학에서 협력기반 수업 참여자 168명을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였다. 연구도구는 동료평가를 위한 협력학습 절차는 팀 구성, 과제 수행 계획, 과제수행, 중간평가, 과제 수행 완료, 발표 및 평가, 자기평가로 설계하였고, 동료평가는 팀내. 팀간 평가로 유형화 하였고, 단계별 동료평가문항을 설계하였다. 동료평가 문항의 내용타당도는 전문가 12인의 CVR로 평정하였다. 연구결과에서 동료평가의 수업만족도는 평균 4.05(SD=.91)로 높게 나타났고 수업의 집중, 수업의 성실성, 자발성, 학습 분위기의 순으로 나타났다. 수업 만족도 수준 차이 검증 결과, 성별과 학년에서는 차이가 나타나지 않았으며, 수업 유형에서는 문제중심학습이 프로젝트기반 학습에 비하여 만족도 수준이 높게 나타났고 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 고등교육에서의 동료평가 적용 및 확대를 위한 수업설계와 운영의 시사점을 제공하는 데에 의의를 가진다.

블록체인 NFT 문화예술콘텐츠의 현황과 과제 (Prospects & Issues of NFT Art Contents in Blockchain Technology)

  • In various fields such as art, design, music, film, sports, games, and fashion, NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are creating new economic value through trading platforms dedicated to NFT art and content. In this article, I analyze the current state of blockchain technology and NFT art content in the context of an expanding market for blockchain-based NFT art content in the metaverse. I also propose several tasks based on the economic and industrial logic of technological innovation. The first task proposed is to integrate cultural arts on blockchain, metaverse, and NFT platforms through digital innovation, instead of separating or distinguishing between creative production and consumption. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a clear separation between creators and consumers. However, with the rise of Web 3.0 platforms, any user can now create and own their own content. Therefore, it is important to promote a collaborative and integrated approach to cultural arts production and consumption in the blockchain and metaverse ecosystem. The second task proposed is to align the legal framework with blockchain-based technological innovation. The enactment and revision of relevant laws should focus on promoting the development of the NFT trading platform ecosystem, rather than merely regulating it for user protection. As blockchain-based technology continues to evolve, it is important that legal systems adapt to support and promote innovation in the space. This shift in focus can help create a more conducive environment for the growth of blockchain-based NFT platforms. The third task proposed is to integrate education on digital arts, including metaverse and NFT art contents, into the current curriculum. This education should focus on convergence and consilience, rather than merely mixing together humanities, technology, and arts. By integrating digital arts education into the curriculum, students can gain a more comprehensive understanding of the potential of blockchain-based technologies and NFT art. This article examines the digital technological innovation such as blockchain, metaverse, and NFT from an economic and industrial point of view. As a limitation of this research, the critical mind such as philosophical thinking or social criticism on technological innovation is left as a future task.

강화 이론에 근거한 교사 보조 로봇 인터랙션 디자인: 수행도와 반응률 측정을 중심으로 (The Interaction Design of Teaching Assistant Robots Based on Reinforcement Theory: With an Emphasis on the Measurement of Task Performance and Reaction Rate)

  • This study examines whether the reinforcement theory would be effectively applied to teaching assistant robots between a robot and a student in the same way as it is applied to teaching methods between a teacher and a student. Participants interact with a teaching assistant robot in a 3 (types of robots: positive reinforcement vs. negative reinforcement vs. both reinforcements) by 2 (types of participants: honor students vs. backward students), within-subject experiment. Three different types of robots, such as 'Ching-chan-ee' which gives 'positive reinforcement', 'Um-bul-ee' which gives 'negative reinforcement', and 'Sang-bul-ee' which gives both 'positive and negative reinforcement' are designed based on the reinforcement theory and the token reinforcement system. Participants' task performance and reaction rate are measured according to the types of robots and the types of participants. In task performance, the negative reinforcement robot is more effective than the other two types, but regarding the number of stimulus, the less the stimulus is, the more effective the task performance is. Also, participants showed the highest reaction rate on the negative reinforcement robot which implies that the negative reinforcement robot is most effective to motivate students. The findings demonstrate that the participants perceive the teaching assistant robot not as a toy but as a teaching assistant and the reinforcement interaction is important and effective for teaching assistant robots to motivate students. The results of this study can be implicated as an effective guideline to interaction design of teaching assistant robots.

  • Identification of the plants is not easy task especially in the fields of process control. From this point of view, Kitamori developed a method of control system design based on partial knowledge about controlled processes. However, it is difficult to control the oscillatory plant by kitamori's method. In this paper, we develope a method of partial model matching control system design, which have desirable pole-placements in order to improve the above defects. Design examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the method.

  • Titanium alloys are a vital element for developing advanced structural components, especially in aerospace applications. However, process design for successful forming of titanium alloy is a difficult task, which is to be achieved within a very narrow range of process parameters. Presented in this paper is a finite element - based optimal design technique as applied to ductile fracture minimization process design in backward extrusion of titanium alloys.

  • The camera based object detection systems should satisfy the recognition performance as well as real-time constraints. Particularly, in safety-critical systems such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), the real-time constraints significantly affects the system performance. Recently, multi-core processors and system-on-chip technologies are widely used to accelerate the object detection algorithm by distributing computational loads. However, due to the advanced hardware, the complexity of system architecture is increased even though additional hardwares improve the real-time performance. The increased complexity also cause difficulty in migration of existing algorithms and development of new algorithms. In this paper, to improve real-time performance and design complexity, a task scheduling strategy is proposed for visual object tracking systems. The real-time performance of the vision algorithm is increased by applying pipelining to task scheduling in a multi-core processor. Finally, the proposed task scheduling algorithm is applied to crosswalk detection and tracking system to prove the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

스마트워크를 지원하는 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 사용의도 분석 : TAM-TTF 모델 관점 (The Effect of Smart Work and Cloud Computing Fit on Intention to use Cloud Computing Based on TAM-TTF Model)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the factors affecting the intention to use cloud computing in the smart work environment. This study is meaningful in that it examines the characteristics of smart work and the fit of cloud computing characteristics, and it is a study that reveals the factors affecting the intention to use cloud computing by applying the integrated model of TTF and TAM. Design/methodology/approach In order to understand the factors affecting the intention to use cloud computing in the smart work environment, a research model that integrates TTF and TAM with the hypothesis was proposed. In order to verify the research hypothesis, this study conducted a survey on individuals with experience in smart work and cloud computing. And with the data 280 collected in the survey, path analysis was performed using the PLS structural equation. Findings As a result, it was found that task characteristics and technology characteristics had a positive (+) effect on task-skill fit, and task-skill fit had a positive (+) effect on perceived ease of use and usefulness. Also, task-skill fit, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness were found to have a positive (+) effect on intention to use.

특성화고 전문제도 과목을 위한 BIM 기반 3D 주택설계 수업자료 개발 및 적용 (Development of BIM-based 3D Modeling Instruction Materials and its Application Analysis for Professional Drafting Subject of Specialized Vocational High School)

  • 최근 건설 분야에서 BIM 설계 기술이 의무 적용됨에 따라 실무 현장이나 대학의 건축설계 교육은 3D 모델링 중심으로 크게 변화하고 있다. 그러나 건설 분야 특성화 고등학교에서의 건축설계 교육은 수제도와 2D CAD 중심으로 구성되어 그 변화에 적절하게 대응하지 못하고 있다. 학생들에게는 새로운 건축 설계 흐름에 부합하는 3D 모델링 설계능력을 필수적으로 갖추어야 함에도 불구하고 이를 충족할 수 있는 3D 주택설계 수업자료가 매우 부족한 실정이다. 이 연구는 특성화 고등학교 전문제도 과목을 위한 BIM 기반의 3D 주택설계 수업 자료를 개발하고, 특성화고 학생들에게 적용하여 학생들의 흥미도와 주택설계 과제수행능력이 얼마나 향상되는지를 분석하기 위한 연구이다. 이 연구에 사용되는 3D 주택설계 수업자료는 PDIE 모형 절차에 따라 준비, 개발, 실행, 평가의 4단계를 거쳐 개발하였으며, 가설 검증을 위한 실험설계 모형은 이질통제집단 전후검사설계를 사용하였다. 실험설계 모형에 따라 실험 집단에는 BIM 기반의 3D 주택설계 수업자료를 적용하여 수업을 실시하였으며, 통제 집단에는 2D CAD 기반의 일반적인 주택설계 수업자료로 수업을 실시하였다. 실험 처치는 건설 분야 특성화 고등학교 학생들을 대상으로 실시하였고, 총 12차시의 전문제도 교과 수업에 적용하였다. 실험 처치의 전과 후에는 각각 흥미도와 주택설계 과제수행능력에 대한 검사를 실시하였으며, 검사결과를 바탕으로 독립표본 t-검정을 통해 3D 주택설계 수업자료에 대한 효과를 분석하였다. 이 연구에서 개발된 BIM 기반의 3D 주택설계 수업자료는 학생들의 수업 흥미도를 향상시키는데 효과적이었으며, 기존 2D 기반의 주택설계 수업보다 과제수행능력을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다.

시나리오 기반의 생태마을 계획 및 설계 지원 GIS도구 개발 (Development of a Scenario-based GIS Tool for Planning and Design of Eco-Village)

  • A tool to assist in designing an eco-village was developed using GIS(Geographical Information System) and RS(Remote Sensing) data and images. The difficulties of using GIS by untrained designers are resolved by simplifying the usage and making it a user friendly scenario-based tool, so that the designers with limited knowledge in GIS can use as a design tool. For this task, Da-Mu-Po, a village in Pohang, Gyeongbuk was picked as a site to test the design tool; through planning and designing as an eco friendly village, we tested the flexibility and usability of our newly developed design tool. From this experiment we also introduced test version of stand-alone GIS design tool by constructing program scenario and GUI(Graphic User Interface).
