  • Mo/γ-Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by impregnation method in various conditions to identify the states of surface Mo species. TPR (Temperature-Programmed Reduction) and Raman spectroscopy were applied to analyze the surface Mo species. TPR analysis revealed that MoO3 was reduced to Mo through MoO2, the intermediate state and the increase of Mo loading enhanced the reducibility of Mo oxide till the formation of monolayer coverage. High temperature calcination induced oxygen defects in MoO3 giving their unstable states for easier reduction. Raman spectroscopy analysis showed that the increase of Mo loading induced the polymeric Mo oxide.

  • CO2 reforming of methane (CRM) based on Ni catalysts was studied using temperature programmed reaction (TPR). The onset temperature of the CRM reaction was increased in a repeated TPR experiments. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman spectroscopy showed formation of graphite structures on Ni during CRM reaction, which deactivate Ni-surfaces. Attempts were made for inhibiting deactivation of Ni surfaces and reducing onset-temperature of the CRM reaction by various surface modification techniques, which will be presented in this poster.

  • Positional data of moving objects can be regularly sampled in order to minimize the cost of data collection in LBS. Since position data which are regularly sampled cannot include the changes of position occurred between sampling periods, sampled position data differ from the data predicted by a time parameterized linear function. Uncertain position data caused by these differences make the accuracy of the range queries for present positions diminish in the TPR tree. In this paper, we propose the uncertainty region to handle the range queries for uncertain position data. The uncertainty region is defined by the position data predicted by the time parameterized linear function and the estimated uncertainty error. We also present the weighted recent uncertainty error policy and the kalman filter policy to estimate the uncertainty error. For performance test, the query processor based by the uncertainty region is implemented in the TPR tree. The experiments show that the Proposed query processing methods are more accurate than the existing method by 15%.

  • Perovskite-type mixed oxides LaBO$_3$(B = Mn, Fe, Co) were prepared by citrate sol-gel method in $air(850^{\circ}C$, 24h). The oxygen stoichiometries and structures of these oxides were determined by XRD and TPR results as followings; LaMnO$_{3.16}$(a = 5.507, c = 13.329 $\AA$, hexagonal), LaFeO$_{3.17}$(a = 5.554, b = 5.555, c = 7.863 $\AA$, orthorhomibic), LaCoO$_{3.0}$(a = 5.436, c = 13.095 $\AA$, hexagonal). The temperature programmed reduction(TPR) experiments in static 300 torr H$_2$ atmosphere shows that the reduction reaction of LaBO$_3$(B = Mn, Fe, Co) proceeds into two stages, and thermal stabilities of these oxides decreased in the order of LaMnO$_3$ > LaFeO$_3$ > LaCoO$_3$. According to the kinetic analysis the lowest activation energy was obtained for LaCoO$_3$.

  • In this study, we investigated that the effect of alkali metals [Na(Sodium) and K(Potassium)], known as representative deactivating substances among exhaust gases of various industrial processes, on the NH3-SCR (selective catalytic reduction) reaction of V/W/TiO2 catalysts. NO, NH3-TPD (temperature programmed desorption), DRIFT (diffuse reflectance infrared fourier transform spectroscopy analysis), and H2-TPR analysis were performed to determine the cause of the decrease in activity. As a result, each alkali metal acts as a catalyst poisoning, reducing the amount of NH3 adsorption, and Na and K reduce the SCR reaction by reducing the L and B acid points that contribute to the reaction activity of the catalyst. Through the H2-TPR analysis, the alkali metal is considered to be the cause of the decrease in activity because the reduction temperature rises to a high temperature by affecting the reduction temperature of V-O-V (bridge oxygen bond) and V=O (terminal bond).

  • The oxidation of carbon monoxide of low concentration on the natural manganese dioxide (NMD) has been investigated in a fixed bed reactor. The experimental variables were concentration of oxygen (500ppm~99.8%) and carbon monoxide (500ppm~10000ppm) and catalyst temperature ($50{\sim}750^{\circ}C$). The NMD(Natural Manganese Dioxide) has been characterized by temperature - program reduction(TPR) using 2.4% $CO/H_2$ as a reducing agent, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and reduction of NMD by 2.4% $CO/H_2$. It was found that the NMD catalyst activity on the unit area was greater than the $MnO_2$ catalyst for oxidation of CO at the same temperature. The thermal stability of oxidation activity was considered to be maintained when the NMD was heated to $750^{\circ}C$. The TGA, reduction by CO, and TPR of the NMD showed that the NMD had active lattice oxygen which was easily liberated on heating in the absence and low concentration of oxygen. The reaction order in CO is 0.701 between 500~3500ppm and almost zero between 3500~10000ppm of CO.

  • The catalytic oxidation of toluene over $-Al_2O_3$ supported copper-manganese oxide catalysts in the temperature range of $160-280^{\circ}C$ was investigated by employing a fixed bed flow reactor. The catalysts were characterized by BET, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), temperature-programmed reduction(TPR), temperature-programmed oxidation(TPO), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) techniques. Catalytic oxidation of toluene was achieved at the below $280^{\circ}C$, and the optimal content of copper and manganese in the catalyst was found to be 15.0 wt%Cu-10.0 wt%Mn. From the TPR/TPO and XPS results, the redox peak of 15 Cu-10 Mn catalyst shifted to the lower temperature, and the binding energy was shifted to the higher binding energy. Furthermore, It is considered that $Cu_{1.5}Mn_{1.5}O_4$ is superior to Mn oxides and CuO in the role as active factor of catalysts from the XRD results and also catalytic activities are dependent on the redox ability and high oxidation state of catalysts.

  • Synthetic natural gas was producd by the reaction of carbon monoxide and hydrogen via methanation. Ni-Co bimetallic catalyst supported on $Al_2O_3$ for methanation was prepared using deposition-precipitation method. For the comparison, Ni, Co monometallic catalyst was prepared using the same method. The prepared catalysts were characterized by TEM, XRD and TPR and applied to methanation reaction. The catalysts prepared using deposition-precipitation method showed the high metal dispersion. The activity of Ni-Co bimetallic catalyst was higher than that of Ni, Co monometallic catalyst. TPR measurements indicated that Ni-Co bimetallic catalyst had more active hydrogen species than Ni, Co monometallic catalyst due to the synergetic effect in the presence of Ni and Co.

  • Assisted by high technologies of information and communication in storing and collecting moving object information, many applications have been developing technical methods to exploit databases of moving objects effectively and variously. Among them, today, Current and Anticipated Future Position Indexing methods manage current positions of moving objects in order to anticipate future positions of them or more complex future queries. They, however, strongly demand update performance as fast enough to guarantee certainty of queries as possible. In this paper, we propose a new indexing mettled derived from the TPR-tree that should has update performance considerably improved, we named it BUR-tree. In our method, index structure can be inserted, deleted, and updated with a number (or bulk) of objects simultaneously rather than one object at a time as in conventional methods. This method is intended to be applied to a traffic network in which vast number of objects, such as cars, pedestrians, moves continuously.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient WBC 14-Diff classification which performs using the WBC-ResNet-152, a type of CNN model. The main point of view is to use Super-pixel for the segmentation of the image of WBC, and to use ResNet for the classification of WBC. A total of 136,164 blood image samples (224x224) were grouped for image segmentation, training, training verification, and final test performance analysis. Image segmentation using super-pixels have different number of images for each classes, so weighted average was applied and therefore image segmentation error was low at 7.23%. Using the training data-set for training 50 times, and using soft-max classifier, TPR average of 80.3% for the training set of 8,827 images was achieved. Based on this, using verification data-set of 21,437 images, 14-Diff classification TPR average of normal WBCs were at 93.4% and TPR average of abnormal WBCs were at 83.3%. The result and methodology of this research demonstrates the usefulness of artificial intelligence technology in the blood cell image classification field. WBC-ResNet-152 based morphology approach is shown to be meaningful and worthwhile method. And based on stored medical data, in-depth diagnosis and early detection of curable diseases is expected to improve the quality of treatment.
