This paper describes applications of cure monitoring techniques by using embedded fiber optic strain sensors, which are extrinsic Fabry-Perot interoferometric (EFPI) and/or fiber Bra99 grating (FBG) sensors, to three kinds of molding methods of autoclave, FW and RTM molding methods. In these applications, internal strain of high-temperature curing resin was monitored by EFPI sensors. From theme experimental results, it was shown that strain caused by thermal shrink at cooling stage could be measured well. In addition, several specific matters to these molding methods were considered. As thor an autoclave molding of unidirectional FRP laminates, it was confirmed that off-axis strain of unidirectional FRP could be monitored by EFPI sensors. As for FW molding using room-temperature (RT) cured resin, it was found that the strain outputs from EFPI sensors represented curing shrinkage as well as thermal strain and the convergence meant finish of cure reaction. It was also shown that this curing shrinkage should be evaluated with consideration on logarithmic change in stiffness of matrix resin. As for a RTM melding, both EFPI and FBC sensors were employed to measure strain. The results showed that FBG sensors hale also good potential for strain monitoring at cooling stage, while the non-uniform thermal residual strain of textile affected the FBG spectrum after molding. This study has proven that embedded fiber optic strain sensors hale practical ability of cure monitoring of FRP. However, development of automatic installation methods of sensors remains as a problem to be solved for applications to practical products.

The caustic effect provides some of the most amazing indirect illuminated light patterns or scenery one could find in nature. We can perceive this in forms of twinkling stars, shimmering, visually deflected spoon in the water and other various occasions. To generate the caustic effect more realistic and effectively in 3D animation the understanding of the caustic effect and its application is very crucial. However, thor exists various factors in creating the caustic effect other than two main factors discussed in this paper and these factors will require to be studied and tested. In this report, various cases, which used the caustic effect to create more realistic scenery are studied and the role of the caustic effect played in various sceneries are analyzed. In addition to these case studies it is also experimented with changes in different conditions On the basis of the result of case studies, the report demonstrates how the caustic effect can be used to create more realistic scenery by conducting substantiate experiment and research on practicing 3D animation. With all of these researches, the paper is to present the education guide to produce more realistic scenery in 3D animation.
The author carried out an experiment to find out the response of filefish, Navodon modestus(Gunther) to the colored lights. The experimental tank($360L{\times}50W{\times}55Hcm$) was set up in a dark room. Six longitudinal sections with 60 cm intervals are marked in the tank to observe the location of the fish. Water depth in the tank was kept 50 cm level. Light bulbs of 20W at the both ends of the tank projected the light horizontally into the tank. Two different colored filters were selected from four colors of red, blue, yellow, and white, and they were placed in front of the light bulbs to make different colors of light. Light intensity were controlled by use of auxiliary filters intercepted between the bulb and the filter. The fishes were acclimatized in the dark for 50 minutes before thor were employed in the experiment. Upon turning on the light, the number of fish in each section was counted 40 times in 30 second intervals, and the mean of the number of fish in each section was given as the gathering rate of the fish. The colors favourited by the fish was found in the order of blue, white, yellow and red. The gathering rate of fish on illumination period was not constant but varied randomly. The difference of the gathering rates on two different colors of light was rather in significant, however the difference was larger in the day time than in the night time.
This study was to investigate the fitness of the dental arch line to the parabola, and to estimate correlation between the parabola and some ratios of the dental arch measurements. The sample was consisted of the 64 plaster casts showing normal occlusion which was taken from males and females of Korea, aging from 15 to 18 years. The photos of occlusal surface of the plaster casts were taken, and 38 landmarks on the film were selected. The 3 dental arch lines on each dental arch were imaged. One is the dental arch line passing the points of the most buccal surfaces of the teeth, another is that passing the buccal cusp tips of the posterior teeth and the incisal edges, and the other is that passing the midpoints of the teeth. The landmarks on the film were digitized, and measurements and statistics were performed by the IBM computer. The results were as follows; 1. The fitness of the dental arch to the parabola was very good. The fitness of thor upper dental arch was above $91\%$, and that of the lower dental arch was $93\%$. 2. The dental arch line passing the points of the most buccal surfaces of teeth was best fit to the parabola, the buccal cusp tip arch line and the midpoint arch line in order. 3. Correlation between the ratio of oblique molar dental height to molar width and the parabola was very high. 4. The ratio of oblique molar dental height to molar width was devided into 4 groups by the quartiles, and mean parabolic equations and curves were calculated and drawn.
As an optimal quality of the restorations, there should be a least amount of seating discrepancy between the casting and abutment teeth. However, high viscosity of the cementing medium and its resulting thickness may prevent complete seating of the restoration. The use of die spacing material provides adequate internal relief for the cementing medium. The purpose of this study is to compare the thickness of three commonly used die spacing materials. Materials and Methods: Stone plates were fabricated and divided into 12 sections to be painted with die spacers. Tru-Fit, Whip-Mix and Belle do St. Claire die spacer which are commonly used in dental practice were tested in this study. Each die spacers were painted layer by layer according to the manufacturer's recommendation. The average thickness of each die spacers were measured with light microscope(${\times}100$) and compared between them. Results and Conclusions. A silver-colored Tru-Fit die spacer has the lowest value of thickness without statistical significance comparing with a gold-colored Tru-Fit die spacer and a gray layer of Whip-Mix die spacer has the highest value of thickness without any statistical significance comparing with Belle de St. Claire die spacer. Three and four layers of Tru-Fit die spacer and two layers of Whip-Mix and Belle de St. Claire die spacers seem to be in the acceptable range of thickness of 25 to $45{\mu}m$ for optimal seating of the restorations. The standard experimental design and method should be fur thor evaluated for more consistent and objective results.

AES is frequently used as a symmetric cryptography algorithm for the Internet. Wireless embedded systems increasingly use more conventional wired network protocols. Hence, it is important to have low-cost implementations of AES for thor The basic architecture of AES unrolls oかy one full cipher round which uses 20 S-boxes together with the key scheduler and the algorithm repeatedly executes it. To reduce the implementation cost further, the folded architecture which uses only eight S-box units was studied in the recent years. In this paper, we will study a low-cost AES implementation for wireless communication technology based on the folded architecture. We first improve the folded architecture to avoid the sixteen bytes of additional state memory. Then, we implemented a single byte architecture where only one S-box unit is used for data encryption and key scheduling. It takes 352 clocks to finish a complete encryption. We found that the maximum clock frequency of its FPGA implementation reaches about 40 MHz. It can achieve about 13 Mbps which is enough for 3G wireless communication technology.

Recently, the life cycle and the lead-time of a product are to be shortened in order to satisfy consumer's demand. It is thus important to reduce the time and cost in manufacturing trial products. Several technique have been developed and successfully commercialized in the market of RPM(Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing). However, most commercial systems currently use resins or waxes as the raw materials. So, the limited mechanical strength for functional testing is regarded as an obstacle towards broader application of rapid prototyping techniques. To overcome these problems, high-speed machining technology is being investigated worldwide for rapid manufacturing and even for direct rapid tooling application. In this paper, some fundamental experiments and analyses are carried out to obtain the filling time, materials, method, and process parameters for HisRP(High-Speed RP) process. HisRP is a new RP process that is combined high-speed machining with automatic filling. In filling process, Bi58-Sn alloy is chosen as filling material because of the properties of low-melting point, low coefficient of thermal expansion and no harm to environment. Also the use of filling wire it if advantage since it needs simple and flexible mechanism. Then the rapid product, for example a skull, is manufactured for aluminum material by HisRP process with an automatic set-up device thor 4-faces machining.
This paper presents the thermo-elastic analysis for searching the behavior of carbon/carbon brake system during the braking period and the 3-D stress analysis to find the shape of the brake disk which is safe to the failure. The mechanical properties of the carbon/carbon brake disk were measured for both in-plane and out of plane directions. The mechanical properties were used as the input of the thermo-elastic analysis and 3-dimensional stress analysis for the brake disk. The gap between rotor clip and clip retainer is an important parameter in the loading transfer mechanism of the rotor disk. The change of gap was considered both the mechanical deformation and thermal deformation. Because the rotor clip and clip retainers were not contacted, they were excluded from the analysis model. Rotor disk was modeled by using the cyclic symmetry condition. The contact problems between rotor clip and key drum as well as between rotor disk and rotor were considered. From the results of the 3-D stress analysis, the stress concentration at the key hole of the brake disk was confirmed. The stress distributions were studied thor the variation of the rotation angle of the contact surface and the radius of curvature at the key hole part.
NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) has offered consumers the vehicle safety information on their car since 1978. NHTSA believes that they contribute auto makers to develop safer vehicle for customers, which will result in even lower numbers of deaths and injuries resulting from motor vehicle crashes. NHTSA has been studied why people are still dying in frontal test despite of the use of many restraints system and they understand that current test does not reflect real world crash data such as oblique and corner impact test. As a result, NHTSA announced that a new test method will be introduced to use of enhanced biofidelic dummy and new crash avoidance technology evaluation from 2019. New and refined injury criteria will be applied to Head / Neck / Chest / Lower Leg. BrIC(Brain Injury Criterion)value in NHTSA test results using THOR dummy from 2014 to 2015 was average 0.91 and 1.24 in driver and passenger dummies. IIHS 64kph SOF test is the most likely to new frontal oblique test in an aspect of offset impact which is being studied by NHTSA. In this paper, we focused on head injury, especially brain injury - BrIC and conducted IIHS 64kph SOF (Small Offset Front) test with Hybrid III dummy to evaluate the injury for BrIC. Based on the test results, these data can be predicted BrIC level and US NCAP rating with current vehicle.
In the course of examining the metallic structure of Iron chisel and Iron arrowhead, a relics of the 16th or 17th of Chosun Dynasty unearthed at near Gangsun-tower, Chengpyeong temple, we collected un-eroded samples from the relics and looked into the metallic structure through mounting, grinding and polishing, and etching, while analyzing non-metallic inclusion via SEM and EDS. The research metallic structure and SEM-SDS analysis, found that Iron chisel and Iron arrowhead had been produced from sponge iron close to pure Iron made by solid low heat reducing and then increased in rate of carbon by carburizing, It also found that Iron chisel had been hardened through the repetitive process of quench hardening and heat treatment, after being increased in amount of carbon to a certain level. Up to now, there have been a number of studies in the domestic academia which were made primarily of the structure of metallic relics of three countries the period or tile era before that. Although this research was limited in type and number of the relics, it turned out to be Interesting in that it revealed the 16thor 17th century way of processing iron, even in fragments. It is thought to be fruitful that we found iron had been made even in the Chosun Dynasty from sponge iron. It is recommended that researches be made on the relics later to be excavated and originally made in $Kory\breve{o}$ or Chosun Dynasty, because they are important in history of metal technology.
