  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of thera band exercise on muscle flexibility, balance ability, muscle strength and self-rated health in elderly women. Methods: The quasi-experimental research design (one-group pretest-post test) was employed. Participants were recruited in S-city and a total of 14 elderly women completed 15-week thera band exercise. Descriptive statistics, paired t-test and McNemar-test were used in data analysis by SPSS/WIN 12.0. Results: Compared with those before participation, the participants showed higher muscle flexibility, balance ability, and muscle strength after participation in thera band exercise. Conclusion: Findings of this study indicated that the 15-week thera band exercise program had a favorable effect on muscle flexibility, balance ability and muscle strength of elderly women. Future research needs to develop combined exercise programs with other types of exercise for the health of elderly women.

  • Purpose: This descriptive research study aims to investigate influential factors on human papillomavirus vaccines, among parents who have elementary school daughters. Methods: This study was conducted with 210 parents whose children are elementary school girls, aged 9 to 12 years, in G Metropolitan City. Data were collected from August 17 to September 12, 2015 using structured questionnaires. A descriptive statistical analysis, a t-test, a ${\chi}^2-test$, a Fisher's exact test, and a logistic regression using SPSS/WIN 21.0. Results: The influential factors on the human papillomavirus vaccination intention were confirmed to be three variables: cervical cancer knowledge, perceived sensitivity, and perceived barriers. Conclusion: An intervention program, both to increase the sensitivity of vaccination and to decrease barriers, should be developed so as to improve parents' health beliefs towards human papillomavirus vaccination.

  • The aims of this study are to discover general aspects of the kinship behavior shown from singles and also the related variables that had influenced on the single's kinship behavior The research has based on a comprehensive survey with 78 men and 82 women who are single. Statistical methods, including frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test and Duncan Multiple Range test utilizing the SPSS for Windows 10.0, have been adopted for the analysis of the data compiled. The findings of this study were as follows: First, singles have shown the ordinary kinship behavior to their orientation families, those are parents, brothers and sisters. And they had more active kinship behaviors with parents than brothers and sisters. Second, variables such as pressure to marry, education level, job type, and parents' marital satisfaction, have influenced on the single's kinship behavior with parents. While income level have influenced on the single's kinship behavior with brothers, and age, income level, responsibility of care giving and reason for single, on the single's kinship behavior with sisters.

  • IEC 61850 based substation automation system is operating with Generic Object Oriented Substation Event message when an IED need to send an important signal to other IEDs or receive the signals from another IED such as trip and interlock. So interoperability of substation automation system may be assured throughout the verification of IED GOOSE. This paper shows a testing contents for GOOSE subscription and publish of IEC 61850 based IED and describes how to analysis the result of GOOSE testing. Now domestic IED completed by GOOSE test of this study are working in KEPCO test field.

  • This paper is to investigate into the stress-strain curves for austenite stainless steel STS 304 over the full strain range. The Ramberg-Osgood expression is useful up to the beyond the0.2% proof stress in the ultimate state. The Rasmussen curve has developed for stresses beyond 0.2% proof stress, based on the Ramberg-Osgood concept. These expressed curves don't good agree with the test results. It is here proposed the based on the analysis of the test results better curve.

  • Compared to ambient vibration testing, impact testing has the merit to extract not only structural modal parameters but also structural flexibility. Therefore, structural deflections under any static load can be predicted from the identified results of the impact test data. In this article, a signal processing procedure for structural flexibility identification is first presented. Especially, practical issues in applying the proposed procedure for structural flexibility identification are investigated, which include sensitivity analyses of three pre-defined parameters required in the data pre-processing stage to investigate how they affect the accuracy of the identified structural flexibility. Finally, multiple-reference impact test data of a three-span reinforced concrete T-beam bridge are simulated by the FE analysis, and they are used as a benchmark structure to investigate the practical issues in the proposed signal processing procedure for structural flexibility identification.

  • This study was aimed to identify a study on risk perception and safety knowledge and awareness of scuba diver. In order to achieve this purpose, a total of 310 customers over the age of 20 were selected as study participants form diving pools and dive resort in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Gyeongsang area using the convenience sampling method. However, only data from 295 customers were used after screening the data for reliability. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire, and descriptive statistics, inter-item consistency reliability, t-test, ANOVA, post hoc test, correlation analysis, pearson chi-square test were conducted on the data using the SPSS 21.0 version statistical package program. The followings are the results: First, risk perception differs significantly according to age, education level, occupation and participation period. Second, participation period and safety knowledge have positive correlation.

  • The purpose his study was a descriptive research study to identify the influencing factors of mentoring for nursing students, and was conducted with 120 nursing students. The collected data were subjected to real number and percentage, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 25.0. As a result of the study, mentoring was found to have a significant positive correlation with organizational socialization, core nursing competency, and clinical performance competency, and the explanatory power of the regression model was 64.1%. Since mentoring is an effective teaching method, based on this study, we propose a study to develop a structured mentoring program including organizational socialization, core nursing competency, and clinical performance competency to test the effectiveness. In addition, proposes a study to identify the relationship with various variables by dividing mentoring into sub-competencies of career development function, psychological stability function, and role model function.

  • The problem of brake judder is typically caused by quality defects in manufacturing. This quality problem, however, can't be controlled deterministically and requires analyses and designs considering uncertainties. This paper presents a method for dynamic analysis of a brake judder considering uncertainties. Firstly, quality defects, which come from the uncertainties, are determined by examination of symptoms of the brake judder quality problem. Effective quality defects are selected by investigation of process capability and comparison of sensitivity of each quality defects and noise levels of the effective quality defects are determined. Secondly, flexible multibody dynamic analysis and finite element analysis according to the proposed method are carried out. Finally, The analysis results are compared with the test results with noise levels of the effective quality defects.
