TOEFL의 듣기문항 분석을 통한 한국대학생 듣기 학습효과 (An Analysis of English Listening Items on the TOEFL)

  • The aim of this paper was to diagnose Korean college students' listening skills on the TOEFL. The researchers identified which section, among the TOEFL listening Part A, B, and C, is most easily teachable/ improvable during the period of a semester. First, the result of this research shows that Korean students tend to have lower scores in Part A than Part B or Part C. The results indicate that the short informal conversation doesn't give sufficient clues to students, and they don't have enough time to infer the answer. Second, the results revealed that. students showed the lowest progress in Part B after they studied TOEFL listening items and essential idioms for the listening section for 13 weeks. Because students didn't have much experience learning the informal conversation as opposed to the formal one in English, it is harder to achieve an improved grade in Part B, which consists of the informal conversation. But after a semester-long listening course, the average score on TOEFL listening sections increased.

  • An add/drop control chip for SDH transmission system has been designed in AT&T 0.5um CMOS ORCA FPGA. This device plays an important role in achieving self-healing ring operation which protects against failure. After this device receives each 24-ch AU-3 signals from the west, east, and add parts, it outputs each 24-ch switched signals through the control data of system control port. This device consists of eight sub-part such west/east transmitting part, west/east receiving part, add/drop control part, AIS control part, and CPU interface part. The designed device is capable to ring networks as well as linear networks.

실버세대의 운동유형에 따른 액티브 티셔츠 디자인 제안 (Design Suggestion of Active T-shirt According to the Exercise Types in the Silver Generation)

  • The silver generation have clothing style of optimal daily life comparing than young generation because they do not participate a specific sport event but daily- life exercise. As the human body ages, the figure of the silver generation shows different body shape because upper body changes to curved figure including the belly and waist part. Therefore, clothing characteristics for the silver generation should be considered with proper function, design and textiles to optimize body movement. This study investigated various exercise types according to motion analysis of the silver generation in order to develop the design of the active T-shirts reflecting the structural properties and providing the optimum exercise circumstance. The results to consider design needs are as followed; As the T-shirts design for the flexible exercise which required frequent movement of upper body such as bending and waist twisting during body stretching, a stretch fabric applied to the waist part considering T-shirts allowance and length to make extreme elongation and support for well-fitting appearance of the T-shirts. As the T-shirts design for the instantaneous reactionary exercise, high elastic four-way stretch fabric is applied to the part of arm hole to optimize skeletal and muscle movement for entire body and arm work. As the T-shirts design for the endurance exercise such as climbing, cycling, and walking, the shoulder line of the back part has cutting line allowance to make optimum movement of the upper body but no change of the waist part.

강체와 비강체 부품의 정의와 지정방법에 대한 제안 (Suggestions of Define Methods by Rigid/Non-Rigid Parts' Definitions)

  • Defining and measuring non-rigid or flexible parts has been controversial in industry for many years. There are two primary areas of controversy. The first is agreeing on what exactly a non-rigid part is. The second is agreeing on how to define and measure a non-rigid part. The subject of non-rigid parts is further complicated by the brief coverage it receives in the national and international standards. This leaves each company to improvise or create its own rules for non-rigid parts. There are some who believe that Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) should not be used on non-rigid parts. This is not true. The ASME Y14.5M standard applies to rigid parts as a default condition. However, there is no definition given for a rigid part. The term rigid part has been used in industry for so long that it has gained a definition by its general use. When most people in industry say rigid part, they are referring to a part doesn't move (deform or flex) when a force (including gravity) is applied. How much force is relative based on the part characteristics. In reality, all parts will deform (or flex) if enough force is applied. Using this logic, all parts would be considered non-rigid. However, we all know that this is not how parts are treated in industry. Although GD&T defaults to rigid parts, it should also be used on non-rigid parts with a few special techniques. Actually 50~60% of all products designed contain parts or features on parts that are non-rigid. Therefore, we try to suggest the definitions of rigid and non-rigid parts and method to measure non-rigid parts.

스마트냉동컨테이너의 적재부 온도 편차 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimization of Temperature Deviation of Loads in Smart Reefer Container)

  • 냉동컨테이너는 외부 환경에 의해 냉동기가 있는 적재부의 전면과 컨테이너 문이 있는 적재부의 후면부 사이에 온도 편차가 발생한다. 특히, 신선화물 운송에서 이러한 온도 편차는 화물의 신선도에 큰 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 온도 편차를 줄이기 위해 T-Floor를 부분적으로 차폐하고, T-Floor 차폐율이 냉동컨테이너 적재부 온도 변화에 미치는 영향을 평가하여 온도 편차를 최소화하는 방법을 제안한다. 실험 대상은 40 feet 스마트 냉동컨테이너로 T-Floor 차폐율은 0%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%로 설계 변수를 설정하였다. 실험 결과, 차폐율에 따라 냉동컨테이너 적재부의 온도 편차가 다르게 발생하였으며, 차폐율 60%인 경우 온도 편차가 가장 균일한 것을 확인했다. 이러한 적재부 온도 편차 최소화를 통해 스마트 냉동컨테이너를 이용하여 신선 화물의 운송 시 화물의 부패 및 냉해를 예방할 수 있다.

A new model for T-shaped combined footings part II: Mathematical model for design

  • The first part shows the optimal contact surface for T-shaped combined footings to obtain the most economical dimensioning on the soil (optimal area). This paper presents the second part of a new model for T-shaped combined footings, this part shows a the mathematical model for design of such foundations subject to axial load and moments in two directions to each column considering the soil real pressure acting on the contact surface of the footing with one or two property lines restricted, the pressure is presented in terms of an axial load, moment around the axis "X" and moment around the axis "Y" to each column, and the methodology is developed using the principle that the derived of the moment is the shear force. The classic model considers an axial load and a moment around the axis "X" (transverse axis) applied to each column, i.e., the resultant force from the applied loads is located on the axis "Y" (longitudinal axis), and its position must match with the geometric center of the footing, and when the axial load and moments in two directions are presented, the maximum pressure and uniform applied throughout the contact surface of the footing is considered the same. To illustrate the validity of the new model, a numerical example is presented to obtain the design for T-shaped combined footings subjected to an axial load and moments in two directions applied to each column. The mathematical approach suggested in this paper produces results that have a tangible accuracy for all problems.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate endurance test of localization part for T-50 aircraft engine. Major localization parts of the engine (F404-STW-102) was performed using Accelerated Simulated Mission Engine Test. The purpose of this test is to evaluate of quality demonstration capability, to verify design of engine localization parts, and to improvement safety and operation rate of T-50 advanced trainer by finding out operational problems in production phase and fixing it.

마산만 육상기인오염원의 오염기여율 모델링 (Modeling for Pollution Contribution Rate of Land based Load in Masan Bay)

  • 해역수질 관리를 위해 마산만으로 유입되는 육상기인오염원이 해역수질에 미치는 영향인 오염기여율을 생태계 모델을 이용하여 정량화하였다. 오염기여율은 마산만 해역으로 들어오는 16개 오염원 각각의 유무에 따라 해역 정점별 수질 농도변화를 통해 계산하였다. 오염기여율 결과로 만 내측의 하천들은 만 북부에서 COD는 20 %, T-P는 62 %로 나타났고, 만 중부에서는 COD는 10 %, T-P는 16 %로 나타냈다. 따라서, 만 내측의 하천들은 마산만 북부와 중부수질에 영향을 주고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 만 북부로 유입되는 하천들의 T-P기여율이 COD기여율 보다 높기 때문에, COD부하보다 T-P부하가 수질에 미치는 영향이 더 큰 것으로 판단된다. 만 남부 오염원인 덕동하수처리장은 남부에서 COD는 26 %, T-P는 11 %, 중부에서 COD는 17 %, T-P는 7 %, 만 외측에서는 COD는 10 %, T-P는 1 % 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 저층 잔차류 흐름이 만 내측으로 향하고 있기 때문에 마산만 외측보다 남부와 중부에서 수질에 더 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Nocardia sp의 세포내 징세포구조 및 tellurite 환원초소의 존재부위와 T. T. C. 환원부위를 전자현미경으로 관찰한 것을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 광포내 미세구조에 있어서 unit membrane을 가진 농양구조가 복잡한 형태를 하고 계포질에 내포되어있고 어떤 것은 막구조가 둥글게 감겨있는 형태도 있다. 금속, tellurate염외 석출이 세포질중에 나타나므로 tellurite 및 tellurate 환원효소는 세축질중에 존재한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 그리고T.T.C.의 환원은 세포막 및 세포내막양구조 부분에서 일어난다. 따라서 tellurate환원과 T.T.C.환원은 서로 상이한 부위에서 일어남을 알 수 있다. 구체내에 형성된 T.T.C. tellurate은 도정제인 osmic acid에 의하여 제기화되며, 더우기 탈수제로 사용하고 있는 ethanol에 녹고 아울러 포매각에도 녹기 때문에 약 95%의 formazane이 균체외로 용출되어 나오므로 검정시의 세포내에는 거의 formazane이 존재하지 않기 때문에 전자현미경상의 전자투과성인 부분은 원래 formazane이 형성되었던 부분인 것이다.

  • Requirements of a benchmarking for rapid prototyping systems and process usually include manufacturing time, cost (including system price), and dimensional accuracy. This paper deals with a benchmarking comparisons to investigate the functional requirements of RP system. A special designed IMS_T2 test part with dimensional. geometrical, and surface roughness features has been used in the inspection of RP processes. IMS_T2 test part was built on 5 commercially available RP machines which are relatively new model in Korea.
