In this study, we carried out nonlinear analysis according to various interface nonlinear models by interaction magnitude, and analyzed interface behavior such as distribution of tangential traction and relative slip in steel-concrete composite structure. As a result of this study, tangential traction and relative slip of interface is rapidly increased at the steel plate-concrete interface, especially at the neutral region, rather than tensile, as opposed to the T beam-concrete interface. In transverse direction, it has gradually reduced to go outside from loading position. In longitudinal direction, it was minimum at the central region near the loading point, maximum at 0.6-0.7L from support and gradually reduced as it nears support. Moreover, as the load is increased, the failure of interface gradually expands from the maximum tangential traction position to the entire region. It is expected to provide fundamentality for interface behavior and load-carrying mechanism, and for the design of bending and shear connection of steel-concrete composite structure.

Compression stress block used to concrete structure design substitutes equivalent triangle, rectangle, trapezoid and parabola-rectangle stress block for actual concrete stress distribution. Its shape is different in design code of the major advanced countries. It reflects the material feature of each of country. Presently, compression stress block of korea concrete design code is equal to it of ACI code that doesn't reflect the material feature of the high strength concrete. So, many research conclusions showed that it is not reasonable. The study compares concrete stress blocks of the major advanced countries and does an experiment on concrete compression stress block to know the material feature of the concrete in korea. It obtains the operating load and the concrete strain in experiment and draw stress block parameters. It compares stress block parameters applied to design code with those by the experiment conclusion. In addition, It compares and analyses nominal axial force-moment diagram by the stress block of the major advanced countries.
t-Stress and junction leakage current characteristics of CVD-tungsten have been investigated. Stressversus continuous annealing temperature plot. shows hysteresis curve where the stress level of the cooling curveis higher than that of the heating curve. It is found that the thermal and intrinsic stress of tungsten film depositedby SiH4 reduction is higher than that by Hz reduction. The tungsten film deposited by SiHl reduction is in the tensile stress state below 700"Cnd the stress ofthe film decreses with increasing annealing temperature. The stress state changes into compressive stress atabout 700"Cnd the compressive stress increases rapidly with increasing temperature.Leakage current of the n+/p diode increases rapidly especially in the range of 400-450$^{\circ}$C with increasingdeposition temperature of the CVD-W by SiH4 reduction, which is due to the Si consumption by W encroachment. On the other hand leakage current of the n+/p diode slightly increases with increasing SiH4/WF6 ratio.h increasing SiH4/WF6 ratio.

Many research works have been performed on the J-T approach for elastic-plastic crack-tip stress fields in a variety of plane strain specimens. To generalize the validity of J-T method, further investigations are however needed fur more practical 3D structures than the idealized plane strain specimens. The present study deals mainly with 3D finite element (FE) modeling of welded plate and straight pipe, and accompanying elastic, elastic-plastic FE analyses. Manual 3D modeling is almost prohibitive, since the models contain semi-elliptical interfacial cracks which require singular elements. To overcome this kind of barrier, we develop a program generating the meshes fur semi-elliptical interfacial cracks. We then compare the detailed 3D FE stress fields to those predicted with J-T two parameters. The validity of J-T approach is thereby extended to 3D yield-strength-mismatched weld joints, and useful information is inferred fur the design or assessment of pipe welds.

Mechanical properties of the materials used for transportations and industrial machinery under high stain rate loading conditions have been required to provide appropriate safety assessment to these mechanical structures. The Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar(SHPB) technique with a special experimental apparatus can be used to obtain the material properties under high strain rate loading condition. There have been many studies on the material behavior under high strain rate compressive loading compared to those under tensile loading. In this paper, mechanical properties of the aluminum alloy, Al6061-T6, under high strain rate tensile loading were determined using SHPB technique.

The assessments of weld defects by fracture mechanics are performed for design of welded Joints. In general, butt, T-type, and L-type welded joint are useful for welding structure. When linear weld defects are in welded joint, stress intensity factors for each joints are calculated by finite element method. Analysis results are shown for the fracture modes and characteristics of joint types. And they are founded for the weaken order of welded joints being T-type, butt, L-type.

In this study, the plane stress fracture toughness and Tearing modulus are investigated for various crack ratios using the J integral. To evaluate the J integral and Tearing modulus, both experiments and estimation are used. The thickness of the low carbon steel specimens that is used in the experiments is 3mm. The type of specimen that is considered in the study is center-cracked-tension one. The measurements of crack length are performed by unloading compliance method. In the estimation of crack parameters such as the J integral and load line displacement, the Ramberg and Osgood stress strain law is assumed. Then simple formulas are given for estimating the crack parameters from contained yielding to fully plastic solutions. Obtained results are as follows; (1) When the crack ratio is in the range of 0.500 - 0.701, the plane stress fracture toughness is almost constant regardless of crack ratios. (2) The fracture toughness (J$\_$c/) and Tearing modulus (T) obtained are J$\_$c/=28.51kgf/mm, T=677.7 for base metal, J$\_$c/=31.85kgf/mm, T=742.0 for annealed metal. (3) Simpson's and McCabe's formulas which consider crack growth in estimating J integral are shown more conservative J and lower T than Rice's and Sumpter's. (4) Comparison of the prediction with the actual experimental measurements by Simpson's formula shows good agreement.

The centroid of rail doesn't coincide with the centroid of stringer on target truss bridge. If there is no eccentricity on the bridge, bending stress works only. But in the real design and execution, not only bending stress works but also torsional stress does because of it's eccentricity. So this study evaluates how much the torsional stress by eccentricity effects joint members on the bridge. We investigate the possibility to control torsional stress if we model longitudinal bracing between stringers.

As the results of comparison with several anchorage design methods of PSC box girder, stress superposition effect by the order of prestressing force can't be considered in the case of multi-anchorage design with existing design methods. In anchorage design by 3-D finite element analysis, estimation of stress concentration region and stress flow are correctly defined, but the estimation of sectional forces in anchorage is very complicated. In the case of anchorage design by strut-tie model method, the stress superposition effect can be considered and sectional forces in anchorage are easily calculated. Therefore, strut-tie model method is remarkably suitable to anchorage design if geometrical conditions of the truss members are carefully considered.
