In order to analyze the nonlinear phenomena of the bifurcation and chaos caused by the switching of nonlinear switching devices in inductively coupled power transfer (ICPT) systems, a Jacobian matrix model, based on discrete mapping numerical modeling, is established to judge the system stability of the periodic closed orbit and to study the nonlinear behavior of Hopf bifurcation in a system under full resonance. The general flow of the parameter design, based on the stability principle for ICPT systems, is proposed to avoid the chaos and bifurcation phenomena caused by unreasonable parameter selection. Firstly, based on the state equation of SS-type compensation, a three-dimensional bifurcation diagram with the coupling coefficient as the bifurcation parameter is established with a numerical simulation to observe the nonlinear phenomena in the system. Then Filippov's method based on a Jacobian matrix model is adopted to deduce the boundary of stable operation and to judge the type of the bifurcation in the system. Then the general flow of the parameter design based on the stability principle for ICPT systems is proposed through the above analysis to realize stable operation under the conditions of weak coupling. Finally, an experimental platform is built to confirm the correctness of the numerical simulation and modeling.

Recently electrical industry has been rapidly restructured by deregulation in the developed countries. The voltage stability problem of a power system is associated with a rapid voltage drop due to heavy load and it occurs because of inadequate reactive power supply at some critical buses. More effective power system control means for line flow and bus voltage are required for applying FACTS. In this paper Jacobian method used to study on the voltage stability, The Jacobian method is to check the eigenvalue of the load flow Jacobian matrix. If the power system is unstable, one of the eigenvalues, at leasL has crossed the imaginary axis. This paper demonstrate enhancement of ATC by application of STATCOM at WSCC 9-bus system.
In this study, a general program has been developed to calculate the static design factor of a vehicle suspension system. The partial derivatives of Jacobians for constraint equations are calculated using the symbolic technique. In the commercial program, finite difference method is used to calculate the Jacobian matrix of Jacobian. But in this study, it is calculated by using the symbol calculation method to precisely consider it. The calculated Jacobian matrix for the system has proved its accuracy through the solution of the numerical example. A simulation was performed for a double wishbone suspension of a 1/4 vehicle. The result can be used to calculate the static design factor of the suspension, and also add a convergence module that can perform virtual tests.

The coexistence and extinction of species are important concepts for biological systems and can be distinguished by an investigation of stability. When determining local stability of nonlinear systems, Lyapunov indirect method based on the Jacobian linearization has been widely employed due to its simplicity. Despite such popularity, it is not applicable to singular systems whose Jacobian has at least one eigenvalue that is equal to zero. In such singular cases, an appropriate Lyapunov function should be sought to determine the stability of systems, which is rather difficult and quite involved. In this paper, we seek for a simple criterion to determine stability of the equilibrium that is located at the boundary of the positive orthant, when one of eigenvalues of the Jacobian is zero. The goal of the paper is to present a generalized condition for the equilibrium to attract all trajectories that starting from initial condition in the positive orthant and near the equilibrium. Unlike the Lyapunov direct method, the proposed method requires just a simple algebraic computation for checking the stability of the critical point. Our approach is applied to various biological systems to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper presents two flexible alternatives to the decoupled load flow(DCL) method. The proposed load flow methods can improve the convergence profiles of the DCL by reflecting in part the effects of the off-diagonal terms in the Jacobian at minimal costs. They can improve the convergence characteristics especially when the power system operating states deviate from the conditions required for stable convergence of the DCL and the P-Q coupling becomes significant. Two algorithms are obtained from the expression of the full Newton-Raphson load flow (NRL) method by successively diminishing the effects of the off-diagonal submatrices in the Jacobian. In the process of simplification, the Neuman series expansion is utilized. Test results show promising performances of the proposed algorithms in their convergence characteristics both in number of iterations and overall convergence speeds. Proposed algorithms are expected to provide flexible alternatives to the NRL when the DCL experiences convergence problems.
This paper presents how it is effective to use many features for improving the speed and the accuracy of the visual servo systems. Some rank conditions which relate the image Jacobian and the control performance are derived. It is also proven that the accuracy is improved by increasing the number of features. Effectiveness of the redundant features is evaluated by the smallest singular value of the image Jacobian which is closely related to the accuracy with respect to the world coordinate system. Usefulness of the redundant features is verified by the real time experiments on a Dual-Arm Robot manipulator made in Samsung Electronic Co. Ltd

In this paper, I propose double parallel manipulator for machining work. And I derive an kinematics by combining the kinematics of the central axis and the kinematics of the link train of linear actuator. The Jacobian of the central axis and the Jacobian of the link train of the linear actuators are induced by a motor algebra and they are combined to an entire Jacobian matrix to transform the velocity of the end effector to those of linear actuators. And then this paper presents the development of control system and user interface program for machining work.

Super computers has been utilized to carry out vehicle dynamics in real time. This research propose an implicit integra-tion method for vehicle state variables. Newton chord method is empolyed to solve the equations of motion and con-straints. The equations of motion and constraints are formulated such that the Jacobian matrix for Newton chord method is needed to be computed only once for a dynamic analysis. Numerical experiments showed that the Jacobian matrix generat-ed at the initial time could have been utilized for the Newton chord iterations throughout simulations under various driving conditions. Convergence analysis of Newton chord method with the proposed Jacobian updating method is carried out. The proposed algorithm yielded accurate solutions for a prototype vehicle multibody model in realtime on a 400 MHz PC compatible.

We propose a switching control scheme for the control of a ball and beam system. It was reported in [4] that a ball and beam system is a nonlinear system which has an ill-defined relative degree. So, the traditional control approaches have been mostly either Jacobian-based control or approximate input-output linearized control in nature. In this paper, motivated by [7], we combine these two traditional control approaches and operate each controller via a pre-designed switching logic so that the improved control result can be obtained without any excessive use of control input. Switching algorithm is developed based on both analysis and actual experimental observation. We verify the effectiveness of our proposed controller via actual experimental results.
In this paper, an iterative MAP approach using a Bayesian model based on the lognormal distribution for image intensity and a GRF for image texture is proposed for despeckling the SAR images that are corrupted by multiplicative speckle noise. When the image intensity is logarithmically transformed, the speckle noise is approximately Gaussian additive noise, and it tends to a normal probability much faster than the intensity distribution. MRFs have been used to model spatially correlated and signal-dependent phenomena for SAR speckled images. The MRF is incorporated into digital image analysis by viewing pixel types as slates of molecules in a lattice-like physical system defined on a GRF Because of the MRF-SRF equivalence, the assignment of an energy function to the physical system determines its Gibbs measure, which is used to model molecular interactions. The proposed Point-Jacobian Iterative MAP estimation method was first evaluated using simulation data generated by the Monte Carlo method. The methodology was then applied to data acquired by the ESA's ERS satellite on Nonsan area of Korean Peninsula. In the extensive experiments of this study, The proposed method demonstrated the capability to relax speckle noise and estimate noise-free intensity.
