  • The importance of each warfighting function for Army TIGER unit attack drones is measured using the AHP technique. As a result, the importance of attack drones is high in the order of maneuver, firepower, intelligence, command/control, protection, and operation sustainment, but the importance of maneuver, firepower, and intelligence are almost similar. In addition, it is analyzed that attack drones capable of carrying out day and night missions by being equipped with an EO/IR sensor and being commanded/controlled in conjunction with the C4I system to eliminate threats with small bombs or aircraft collisions is needed. Finally, based on the results of this study, a virtual battle scenario for attack drones is proposed.

  • In recent years, container techniques have been broadly applied to cloud computing systems to maximize their efficiency, flexibility, and economic feasibility. Concurrently, studies have also been conducted to ensure the security of cloud computing. Among these studies, moving-target defense techniques using the high agility and flexibility of cloud-computing systems are gaining attention. Moving-target defense (MTD) is a technique that prevents various security threats in advance by proactively changing the main attributes of the protected target to confuse the attacker. However, an analysis of existing MTD techniques revealed that, although they are capable of deceiving attackers, MTD techniques have practical limitations when applied to an actual cloud-computing system. These limitations include resource wastage, management complexity caused by additional function implementation and system introduction, and a potential increase in attack complexity. Accordingly, this paper proposes a software-defined MTD system that can flexibly apply and manage existing and future MTD techniques. The proposed software-defined MTD system is designed to correctly define a valid mutation range and cycle for each moving-target technique and monitor system-resource status in a software-defined manner. Consequently, the proposed method can flexibly reflect the requirements of each MTD technique without any additional hardware by using a software-defined approach. Moreover, the increased attack complexity can be resolved by applying multiple MTD techniques.

  • The first-generation RKE(Remote Keyless Entry) system is very vulnerable to replay attacks and the encryption of the second-generation RKE system is known to be disabled by four to eight signal receptions and analysis. In order to enhance the security of the RKE system, we introduce a physical-layer security methods in the RKE system and propose a technique to disable the replay attack by reducing the quality of the signal received by an eavesdropper.

  • Firewall to block a network access of unauthorized IP system and IDS (Intrusion Detection System) to detect malicious code pattern to be known consisted the main current of the information security system at the past. But, with rapid growth the diffusion speed and damage of malicious code like the worm, study of the unknown attack traffic is processed actively. One of such method is detection technique using traffic statistics information on the network viewpoint not to be an individual system. But, it is very difficult but to reserve traffic raw data or statistics information. Therefore, we present extraction technique of a network traffic Raw data and a statistics information like the time series. Also, We confirm the validity of a mixing traffic and show the evidence which is suitable to the experiment.

  • Recently, Like we saw with 3.4 DDoS Cyber Terror, a behavior of cyber terror becomes increasingly more complicated, sophisticated and larger, and there has been largely damage on industry, the general economy. For responding cyber terrors which occur in the future, we should recognize security holes of system which isn't exposed yet before attacker in advance as we anticipate and implement new technique of cyber attack which not exist hitherto. We design and implement a new technique of cyber attack; it seems to us that a server denies agent' service by altering value of registry in windows system. Network connections of agent are restricted to the new technique we suggest as the a value of registry is changed to a less value than a necessary value and there has happened packet loss by attacker.

  • In this paper, we propose a reversely using the "Man In The Middle Attack" attack technique as a way to introduce network security without changing the physical structure and configuration of the existing network, a Virtual Network Overlay is formed with only a single Ethernet Interface. Implementing In-line mode to protect the network from external attacks, we propose an integrated control method through a micro network security sensor and cloud service. As a result of the experiment, it was possible to implement a logical In-line mode by forming a Virtual Network Overlay with only a single Ethernet Interface, and to implement Network IDS/IPS, Anti-Virus, Network Access Control, Firewall, etc.,. It was possible to perform integrated monitor and control in the service. The proposed system in this paper is helpful for small and medium-sized enterprises that expect high-performance network security at low cost, and can provide a network security environment with safety and reliability in the field of IoT and embedded systems.

  • This paper proposes a technique for detecting a significant threat that attempts to get sensitive and confidential information such as usernames, passwords, credit card information, and more to target an individual or organization. By definition, a phishing attack happens when malicious people pose as trusted entities to fraudulently obtain user data. Phishing is classified as a type of social engineering attack. For a phishing attack to happen, a victim must be convinced to open an email or a direct message [1]. The email or direct message will contain a link that the victim will be required to click on. The aim of the attack is usually to install malicious software or to freeze a system. In other instances, the attackers will threaten to reveal sensitive information obtained from the victim. Phishing attacks can have devastating effects on the victim. Sensitive and confidential information can find its way into the hands of malicious people. Another devastating effect of phishing attacks is identity theft [1]. Attackers may impersonate the victim to make unauthorized purchases. Victims also complain of loss of funds when attackers access their credit card information. The proposed method has two major subsystems: (1) Data collection: different websites have been collected as a big data corresponding to normal and phishing dataset, and (2) distributed detection system: different artificial algorithms are used: a neural network algorithm and machine learning. The Amazon cloud was used for running the cluster with different cores of machines. The experiment results of the proposed system achieved very good accuracy and detection rate as well.

  • In this paper, we investigate three dimensional optimal evasive maneuver patterns for air-to-surface attack missiles against proportionally navigated anti-air defense missiles. Interception error of the defense missile can be generated by evasive maneuver of the attack missile during the time of flight for which the defense missile intercepts the attack missile. Time varying weighted sum of the inverse of these interception errors forms a performance index to be minimized. Direct parameter optimization technique using CFSQP is adopted to get the attack missile's optimal evasive maneuver patterns according to parameter changes of both the attack missile and the defense missile such as maneuver limit and time constant of autopilot approximated by the 1st order lag system. The overall shape of resultant optimal evasive maneuver to enhance the survivability of air-to-surface missiles against proportionally navigated anti-air missiles is a kind of deformed barrel roll.

  • Spectrum sensing, as a fundamental functionality of Cognitive Radio (CR), enables Secondary Users (SUs) to monitor the spectrum and detect spectrum holes that could be used. Recently, the security issues of Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) have attracted increasing research attention. As one of the attacks against CRNs, a Primary User Emulation (PUE) attack compromises the spectrum sensing of CR, where an attacker monopolizes the spectrum holes by impersonating the Primary User (PU) to prevent SUs from accessing the idle frequency bands. Energy detection is often used to sense the spectrum in CRNs, but the presence of PUE attack has not been considered. This study examined the effect of PUE attack on the performance of energy detection-based spectrum sensing technique. In the proposed protocol, the stationary helper nodes (HNs) are deployed in multiple stages and distributed over the coverage area of the PUs to deliver spectrum status information to the next stage of HNs and to SUs. On the other hand, the first stage of HNs is also responsible for inferring the existence of the PU based on the energy detection technique. In addition, this system provides the detection threshold under the constraints imposed on the probabilities of a miss detection and false alarm.

  • Current security reinforcement systems are Passive defense system that only blocks filter to all traffic from the attacker. So, Those are weak re-attack and Stepping Stones attack because active response about attacker is lacking. Also, present techniques of traceback need much time and manpower by log information collection and trace through the personal inspection and active response is lacking. In this paper, We propose technique for TCP connection traceback that can apply in present internet and trace to inserted marking on IP header to correspond re-attack and Stepping Stones attack. Therefore, Proposed technique is unnecessary correction of existing network component and can reduce size of marked information and overhead of resources.
