The Development of the Slope Monitoring System(SMS) of the Tower Crane (타워크레인의 기울어짐 측정 시스템 개발)

  • The purpose of this study if to prevent dangerous accident of the overthrow of the tower crane in summer's hurricane. We develop the SMS in order to give automatic alarm system to operator within the dangerous range and to give a information of the exactly slope in the real time. The slope value of the tower crane is compose of direction, pitch by the front and rear, roll by the right and left and synthesis by the its pitch and roll. Especially, the synthesis eliminate the effect of the wall tie or wire bracing. So, this value should correctly indicate the actual slope. In this study, more applying field test should be applied with the SMS. In the future, a more measurement device can be applied to, and be able to feed more alarm criteria for the review of the risk in the field.

Synthesis of Acrylate Binders for Negative Photoresist (네가티브 포토레지스트용 아크릴레이트계 바인더 합성)

  • In this study, we synthesized novel UV-curable binders and applied for negative photoresist of display device. First, we synthesized UV-curable binders by radical polymerization with a mixture of Styrene/Methyl methacrylate/Methacrylic acid/Glycidyl methacrylate/N-Cyclohexylmaleimide at a fixed composition. Following the first step, we prepared a negative photoresist mixture optimized with photo sensitive initiator and others for the litho test. And then, we studied resolution and film retention with molecular weight of each binders and numerical value of Alkaline Desolution Rate(ADR). As a result of the litho test, we found that if the novel polymers have same numerical value of ADR, the resolution decreased and the film retention increased with the increasing of molecular weight of photoresist binder.

Structural and Electrical Properties of Nickel Hydroxide Electrode Prepared by Hydrothermal Synthesis on Nickel Foam (니켈 폼(Ni foam)에 수열 합성법으로 제조한 수산화니켈(Ni(OH)2) 전극의 구조적 및 전기적 특성)

  • In this study, the nickel hydroxide (Ni(OH)2) electrode for supercapacitor was prepared via hydrothermal method. Based on the nickel (Ni) foam, the electrode does not require any additional binder material or post-processing. Nickel nitrate (Ni(NO3)2) and hexamethylenetetramine (C6H12N4) were used for synthesis, and the synthesis condition was 12 hours at 80 ℃. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) were used to analyze the structural characteristics of the electrode, and it shown that the nickel hydroxide was successfully prepared after only the one-step hydrothermal synthesis. The electrochemical properties were analyzed through the half-cell test. The prepared electrode shown a pair of oxidation/reduction peaks, indicating that the driving method included the redox reaction on the electrode surface. After the charge/discharge test, the specific capacitance was calculated as the value of 438 F/g at 3 A/g.

Effects of Heavy Metals on Growth and Protein Synthesis in Cyanobacterium synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 (중금속이 Cyanobacterium synechocystis sp.PCC 6803의 성장과 단백질 합성에 미치는 영향)

  • The changes of growth and protein synthesis pattern by aluminum (Al), cadmium (Cd), zinc (Zn) treatments were studied in Cyanobacterium synechocystis sp. PCC 6803. When exposed to Al from 5ppm to 3oppm, synechocystis grows normally. But more than that retard the growth of algae notably. The 0.05ppm Cd additions had no effect on the growth of algae. 0.1, 0.2, and 0.5ppm Cd inhibited growth. Under 1 and 2ppm Cd stress, growth was greatly diminished. Zn had dual effects. The growth of algae in media containing 5ppm was stimulated. As concentration increases more than l5ppm, growth inbition increases. Under 25ppm Zn stress, growth was greatly diminished. According to logistic theory, r and K values of each heavy metal-treated groups were estimated. Correlation analysis of r and K values with metal concentration shows that there is negative correlation between K and concentration in Cd and Zn treatments. Critical concentration which shows lethal or sublethal effect was estimated by t-test of each r and K value. The cells cultured in 10, 20, 30, 40 and 5oppm of Al, 1 and 2ppm of Cd, and 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30ppm of Zn for 4 days was used for protein analysis. Analysis of protein synthesis with SDS-PACE showed alterations of protein synthesis pattern. The synthesis of protein about 220kD increased markedly. In this study, it showed that resistance mechanism against Al, Cd, and Zn is K selection and that metal stress induced the change of protein synthesis in Cyanobacterium synechocystis sp.   • This paper proposes a low power resource allocation and scheduling algorithm that minimized power consumption such as DSP circuit in high-level synthesis process. In this paper, we have used list-scheduling method for low power design in scheduling step. Also, it increase possibility to reuse input through resource sharing when assign resource. After scheduling, the resources allocation uses the power function in consideration of the result of calculating average hamming distances and switching activity between two input. First, it obtain switching activity about input value after calculate average hamming distances between two operator and find power value make use of bit pattern of the input value. Resource allocation process assign operator to minimize average hamming distance and power dissipation on all occasions which is allocated at each control step according to increase control step. As comparing the existed method, the execution time becomes fast according to number of operator and be most numberous control step. And in case of power that consume, there is decrease effect from 6% to 8% to be small.

Synthesis and Photovoltaic Properties of Copolymer Containing Fused Donor and Difluoroquinoxaline Moieties

  • We report synthesis and photovoltaic properties of two new conjugated copolymers, PCPDTQxF and PDTSQxF, with 6,7-difluoro-2,3-dihexylquinoxaline unit prepared by Stille coupling reaction. The advantage of 6,7-difluoro-2,3-dihexylquinoxaline based copolymer are high PCEs due to lower HOMO energy level, long wavelength absorption and high hole mobility. The solid films of PCPDTQxF and PDTSQxF showed absorption bands with maximum peaks at about 623 and 493 nm and the absorption onsets at 711 and 635 nm, corresponding to band gaps of 1.74 and 1.95 eV, respectively. The oxidation onsets of the PCPDTQxF and PDTSQxF polymers were estimated to be 0.68 and 0.95 V, which correspond to HOMO energy levels of -5.48 and -5.75 eV, respectively. The PDTSQxF has lower HOMO energy level as compared to PCPDTQxF to lead higher $V_{OC}$ value. The device comprising PCPDTQxF:PCBM (1:2) dissolved to a concentration of 1 wt % in ODCB showed $V_{OC}$ value of 0.62 V, $J_{SC}$ value of $1.14mA/cm^2$, and FF of 0.35, which yielded PCE of 0.25%.

A Study on Fuzziness Parameter Selection in Fuzzy Vector Quantization for High Quality Speech Synthesis (고음질의 음성합성을 위한 퍼지벡터양자화의 퍼지니스 파라메타선정에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposes a speech synthesis method using Fuzzy VQ, and then study how to make choice of fuzziness value which optimizes (controls) the performance of FVQ in order to obtain the synthesized speech which is closer to the original speech. When FVQ is used to synthesize a speech, analysis stage generates membership function values which represents the degree to which an input speech pattern matches each speech patterns in codebook, and synthesis stage reproduces a synthesized speech, using membership function values which is obtained in analysis stage, fuzziness value, and fuzzy-c-means operation. By comparsion of the performance of the FVQ and VQ synthesizer with simmulation, we show that, although the FVQ codebook size is half of a VQ codebook size, the performance of FVQ is almost equal to that of VQ. This results imply that, when Fuzzy VQ is used to obtain the same performance with that of VQ in speech synthesis, we can reduce by half of memory size at a codebook storage. And then we have found that, for the optimized FVQ with maximum SQNR in synthesized speech, the fuzziness value should be small when the variance of analysis frame is relatively large, while fuzziness value should be large, when it is small. As a results of comparsion of the speeches synthesized by VQ and FVQ in their spectrogram of frequency domain, we have found that spectrum bands(formant frequency and pitch frequency) of FVQ synthesized speech are closer to the original speech than those using VQ.

  • In this study, the synthesis of PZT powder by bubble column reactor was investigated at various reaction conditions. As a result, the volume % of $NH_3$ gas used as a precipitator had no effect on the synthesis, but the more research is needed to control particle size.As a carrier gas, Ar, $O_2$ and air only increased the stirring effect but had no effect chemically on the synthesis. The calcination temperature of prepared PZT powder was about $500-600^{\circ}C$ and the meanparticle size of synthesized PZT powder was about $0.17{\mu}m$. The grain size of sintered body is about $0.5~3{\mu}m$ and this is similar with the value of commercial products.

  • The (B.Si)C composite was prepared form the mixture of metal boron, silicon, and carbon powders in Ar atmosphere by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis Chemical Furnace. The characterization of synthesized power and sintered body were investigated. The microstructure of sintered body suggested that SiC boundary was made between B4C grains. The most excellent mechanical properties, the relative density of 95% oftheoretical value, 3 point flexural strength of 360MPa, and fracture toughness of 3.6MN/m3/2 could be obtained in 80wt% B4C-20 wt% SiC composite were obtained.

  • A novel and simple method for the synthesis of nano-magnetite particles is disclosed. In the novel procedure, $Fe^{2+}$ is the only source of metal cation. Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) is used as the structure directing agent. The phase analysis of the nano-particles was performed using XRD and electron diffraction techniques. Size and morphology analysis was performed using light scattering and TEM techniques. The effect of $NH_4OH$ solution (32 wt. %) at different CMC concentrations on the size distribution of the final magnetite powders is studied. An optimal base concentration exists for each CMC concentration leading to minimal agglomeration. There exists a minimum CMC concentration (0.0016 wt. %), lower than that no magnetite forms. It is shown that using the new method, it is possible to immobilize a lipase enzyme (Candida Rugosa) with immobilization efficiency larger than 98 % with a loading more than 3 times the reported value in the literature. The latter phenomenon is explained based on the agglomerate state of the nano-particles in the liquid phase.
