  • In order to acquire high-speed and high-precision performances in servomechanisms, an integrated design method have been proposed. Based on strict mathematical modeling and analysis of system performance according to design and operating parameters, a nonlinear constrained optimization problem including the relevant subsystem parameters of the servomechanism is formulated. Optimum design results of mechanical and electrical parameters are obtained according to the design parameters specified by designers through the integrated design processes. Motors are optimally selected from the servo motor database. Both the geometric errors referring to Abbe offset and the contour errors are minimized while required constraints such as stability conditions and saturated conditions are satisfied. This design methodology both offers the improved possibility to evaluate and optimize the dynamic motion performance of the servomechanism and improves the quality of the design process to achieve the required performance for high-speed/precision servomechanisms.

Tooth modification of helical gears for minimization of vibration and noise

  • Vibration and noise of gears is doc to the transmission error and the vibration exciting force caused by the periodically alternating tooth stiffness. Transmission error is the rotation delay between driving and driven gear caused by manufacturing error, alignment error in assembly and so on. Tooth stiffness changes with the proceeding mesh of teeth. The purpose of this study is to develop how to calculate simultaneously the optimum amounts of tooth profile modification. end relief and crowning by minimizing the vibration exciting force of helical gears. We estimate the vibration exciting force by the meshing analysis of gears. Formulated constraints of this problem consist of contact ratio and strengths of gear teeth such as tooth bending strength, surface durability, and scoring. ADS(Automated Design Synthesis) is used as an optimization tool. We also investigate the relation between the aspect ratio and the optimum values of tooth modification. The proposed method can calculate the optimum amount of tooth modification automatically and is expected to be practically useful to resolve the problem of vibration of helical gears.

TANT회로망의 계산기 이용 합성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the computer-aided synthesis of TANT network)

  • 스위칭함수는 만능게이트인 NAND gate를 이용하여 3단논리회로로 구성될 수 있으며, 3단논리회로이면서 책의 입력값 만을 허용하는 회로를 TANT(three-level AND-NOT network with true Inputs) 회로망으로 정의하여 사용하고 있다. 본 연구는 TANT회로망의 설계에 있어 최적화과정의 새 방법을 제안한 것으로 CPPI 혹은 EPPㅑ를 만들면서 C-C 표를 쓰지 않고 직접 최적의 TANT 회로망을 구하는 방법이다. 본 알고리즘은 스위칭함수의 입력변수가 4개 혹은 5개까지 수작업(수작업)으로 가능하지만 그 이상의 것은 컴퓨터에 의해 처리될 수 있으며 이를 위해 CAD(computer aided design) 소프트웨어 패키지를 FORTRAN IV로 작성하였다.

Using an Evaluative Criteria Software of Optimal Solutions for Enterprise Products' Sale

  • Purpose - This study focuses on the use of evaluative criteria software for imprecise market information, and product mapping relationships between design parameters and customer requirements. Research design, data, and methodology - This study involved using the product predicted value method, synthesizing design alternatives through a morphological analysis and plan, realizing the synthesis in multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), and using its searching software capacity to obtain optimal solutions. Results - The establishment of product designs conforms to the customer demand, and promotes the optimization of several designs. In this study, the construction level analytic method and the simple multi attribute comment, or the quantity analytic method are used. Conclusions - This study provides a solution for enterprise products' multi-goals decision-making, because the product design lacks determinism, complexity, risk, conflict, and so on. In addition, the changeable factor renders the entire decision-making process more difficult. It uses Fuzzy deduction and the correlation technology for appraising the feasible method and multi-goals decision-making, to solve situations of the products' multi-goals and limited resources, and assigns resources for the best product design.

헤드업 디스플레이 휘도 증가를 위한 LED 합성비율과 영상잡음에 대한 연구 (A Synthesis Ratio of Light Emitting Diodes and Quantization Noise for Increasing Brightness of Head-up Displays)

  • 본 논문은 디스플레이 휘도를 증가시키기 위하여 적색, 녹색, 청색 고휘도 Light Emitting Diode(LED)를 광원으로 사용하고, Digital Micro Device(DMD) 패널을 적용한 헤드업 디스플레이에서 세 개의 LED 광원 합성 비율과 합성에 따른 양자화 노이즈를 최소화시키는 LED 합성 비율을 연구하였고, 밝기에 영향을 미치는 녹색 LED 구동 비율과 접합 온도에 대하여 분석하였다. 이를 통하여 39%의 LED 중첩 방법을 통하여 황색과 청록색의 2차원 색을 합성하여 33.3%의 휘도 증대 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 양자화노이즈를 억제하고 영상 화질 측면에서 우수한 색정밀도를 얻을 수 있었다.

전류구동 CMOS 다치 논리 회로설계 최적화연구 (The Optimization of Current Mode CMOS Multiple-Valued Logic Circuits)

  • 전류모드 CMOS 회로기반 다치 논리 회로가 최근에 구현되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 4-치 Unary 다치 논리 함수를 전류모드 CMOS 논리 회로를 사용하여 합성하였다. 전류모드 CMOS(CMCL)회로의 덧셈은 각 전류 값들이 회로비용 없이 수행될 수 있고 또한 부의 논리 값은 전류흐름을 반대로 함으로써 쉽게 구현이 가능 하다. 이러한 CMCL 회로 설계과정은 논리적으로 조합된 기본 소자들을 사용하였다. 제안된 알고리듬을 적용한 결과 트랜지스터의 숫자를 고려하는 기존의 기법보다 더욱 적은 비용으로 구현할 수 있었다. 또한 비용-테이블 기법의 대안으로써 Unary 함수에 대해서 범용 UUPC(Universal Unary Programmable Circuit) 소자를 제안하였다.

트리클로로 방향족 변성폴리에스테르를 함유한 폴리우레탄 난연도료의 합성과 난연최적화 (Synthesis and Flame - Retardant Optimization of Polyurethane Coatings Containing Trichloro Aromatic Modified Polyesters)

  • Two-component polyurethane flame-retardant coatings were prepared by blending trichloro aromatic modified polyesters(TCMPs) and polyisocyanate. TCMPs were synthesized by polycondensation of trichlorobenzoic acid(TCBA), a flame-retardant component, with adipic acid, 1,4-butanediol, and trimethylolpropane. The content of TCBA was varied in 10, 20, and 30 wt% for the reaction. These new flame-retardant coatings showed various properties comparable to other non-flame-retardant coatings. Moreover, we carried out the combustion test and the flammability test for our flame-retardant coatings. The results of vertical burning test for the coatings containing more than 20 wt% of TCBA were determined as 'no burn'. The results of flammability test for the coatings with 20 wt% and 30 wt% of TCBA contents indicated the limiting oxygen index(LOI) values of 25% and 28% respectively, which implied relatively good flame retardancy.

The Importance of FACS Analysis in the Development of Aptamers Specific to Pathogens

  • Purpose: This review aims to introduce aptamers and the methods of its development to improve the sensitivity and selectivity to target bacteria. In this review, we have highlighted current developments and directions in the pathogen detection based on aptamers. Background: Aptamers, the specific nucleic acid sequences, can bind to targets with high affinity and specificity. Some of researches on the use of aptamers for the detection of pathogen have been reported in recent years. Aptamers have more applicability than antibodies for the development of pathogen detection using biosensor; such as easy to synthesis and labeling, lack of immunogenicity, and a low cost of production. However, only few reports on the development and use of aptamers for the detection of pathogen have been published. Review: Aptamers specific to pathogen are obtained by whole-cell systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (SELEX) process. SELEX process is composed of screening random oligonucleotide bound with target cells, multiple separation and amplification of nucleic acids, final identification of the best sequences. For improving those affinity and selectivity to target bacteria, optimization of multiple separating process to remove unbounded oligonucleotides from aptamer candidates and sorting process by flow cytometry are required.

Optimization of Culture Conditions for D-Ribose Production by Transketolase-Deficient Bacillus subtilis JY1

  • D-Ribose is a five-carbon sugar used for the commercial synthesis of riboflavin, antiviral agents, and flavor enhancers. Batch fermentations with transketolase-deficient B. subtilis JY1 were carried out to optimize the production of D-ribose from xylose. The best results for the fermentation were obtained with a temperature of $37^{\circ}C$ and an initial pH of 7.0. Among various sugars and sugar alcohols tested, glucose and sucrose were found to be the most effective for both cell growth and D-ribose production. The addition of 15 g/l xylose and 15 g/l glucose improved the fermentation performance, presumably due to the adequate supply of ATP in the xylose metabolism from D-xylulose to D-xylulose-5-phosphate. A batch culture in a 3.7-1 jar fermentor with 14.9 g/l xylose and 13.1 g/l glucose resulted in 10.1 g/l D-ribose concentration with a yield of 0.62 g D-ribose/g sugar consumed, and 0.25 g/l-h of productivity. Furthermore, the sugar utilization profile, indicating the simultaneous consumption of xylose and glucose, and respiratory parameters for the glucose and sucrose media suggested that the transketolase-deficient B. subtilis JY1 lost the glucose-specific enzyme II of the phosphoenolpyruvate transferase system.

고효율 염료감응 태양전지를 위한 $TiO_2$의 합성 및 최적화 (optimization and synthesis of $TiO_2$ for for the high efficiency DSSC)

  • 고효율 염료감응 태양전지를 제작하기 위해 Sol-gel법을 사용하여 $TiO_2$ 분말을 제조하였다. 제조 과정 중 다양한 양의 nitric acid를 첨가하여 pH를 조절하였다. Sol-gel법을 위한 출발 물질로 titanium (IV) isopropoxide(TTIP)와 DI water를 사용하였으며 nitric acid은 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15의 몰비(nitric acid/TTIP)로 첨가하였다. 첨가한 결과 pH는 $22^{\circ}C$에서 각각 5.52, 2.26, 1.68, 1.38이었다. 얻어진 $TiO_2$ 콜로이드 용액은 결정성 있는 분말로 제조 후 $5{\times}5[mm^2]$ 크기의 염료감응 태양전지를 제작하는데 사용 되였다. $TiO_2$의 결정구조 및 형태는 cell의 XRD와 FE-SEM으로 분석되었고 전기화학적 특성을 분석하기 위해 irradiation of AM 1.5 ($100mW/cm^2$) simulatedsunlight에서 I-V 곡선을 측정하였다. 측정 결과 몰비(nitric acid/TTIP) 0.05, pH가 2.26일 때 가장 우수한 효율 특성을 보였다.
