고정 샘플링 주파수에서의 모듈형 멀티레벨 컨버터 레벨 선택 알고리즘 (Level Selection Algorithm with Fixed Sampling Frequency for Modular Multilevel Converter)

  • This study uses a level selection algorithm with fixed sampling frequency for modular multilevel converter (MMC) systems. Theoretically, the proposed method increases the level infinitely while the sampling time remains the same. The proposed method called cluster stream buffer (CSB) consists of several clusters, wherein each cluster is composed of 32 submodules that depend on the level of the submodules in the MMC system. To increase the level of the MMC system, additional clusters are used, and the sampling time between clusters is determined from the sampling time between levels needed for utilizing the entire level from the MMC system. This method is crucial in the control of MMC-type HVDC systems because it improves scalability and precision.

  • The direct torque control (DTC) scheme features a simple structure thanks to stator flux-oriented control. It has the advantage of robustness against motor parameters variation since only the stator resistance is involved in the control scheme. On the other hand, the disadvantage of DTC is large torque ripple. To reduce the torque ripple, many studies on DTC-space vector modulation (DTC-SVM) schemes, which modulate the duty ratio with a fixed switching cycle, have been proposed. However, there is the difficulty in obtaining the duty ratio for DTC-SVM. Hence, this paper proposes a new duty ratio selection and stator flux calculation methods for reducing torque ripple. Simulations and experiments were carried out to determine the validity of the proposed method. The proposed scheme has simplified the duty ratio command and achieved the same control performance as the conventional duty ratio modulation method without using the information of motor parameters.

Torque Ripple Reduction in Direct Torque Control of Five-Phase Induction Motor Using Fuzzy Controller with Optimized Voltage Vector Selection Strategy

  • This paper presents a torque ripple reduction method of direct torque control (DTC) using fuzzy controller with optimal selection strategy of voltage vectors in a five-phase induction motor. The conventional DTC method has some drawbacks. First, switching frequency changes according to the hysteresis bands and motor's speed. Second, the torque ripple is rapidly increased in long control period. In order to solve these problems, some/most papers have proposed torque ripple reduction methods by using the optimal duty ratio of the non-zero voltage vector. However, these methods are complicated in accordance with the parameter. If this drawback is eliminated, the torque ripple can be reduced compared with conventional method. In addition, the DTC can be simply controlled without the use of the parameter. Therefore, the proposed algorithm is changing the voltage vector insertion time by using the designed fuzzy controller. Also, the optimized voltage vector selection method is used in accordance with the torque error. Simulation and experimental results show effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.

무선인지시스템을 위한 효율적인 채널 선택 알고리즘 (An Efficient Stochastic Channel Selection Algorithm for Cognitive Radio Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 무선인지네트워크를 위한 효율적인 채널 선택 알고리즘을 제안하고 그 성능을 비교분석한다. 제안된 알고리즘에서는 다중의 가용한 채널들 중 최적 채널 선택을 위해 히스토리 윈도우 범위에서 각 채널의 기(primary) 사용자에 의한 채널 사용률 및 성능, 현 채널 품질 그리고 기 사용자의 통계적 트래픽 활동 특성을 고려한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 무선인지(secondary)사용자들이 제안된 알고리즘을 통하여 다중의 채널들중 데이터 전송을 위한 최적의 채널을 선택할 수 있음을 보였다.

PD-슬라이딩 모드 제어의 절환을 통한 강인한 SPMSM 속도 제어기 설계 (Design of SPMSM Robust Speed Servo Controller Switching PD and Sliding Mode Control Strategies)

  • The paper proposes a new type of robust speed control strategy for permanent magnet synchronous motor by using PD-sliding mode hybrid control. The PD control has a good performance in the transient region while the sliding mode controller provides the robustness against system uncertainties. Taking advantages of the two control strategies, the proposed control method utilizes the PD control in the approaching region to the sliding surface and the sliding mode control near at the sliding surfaces. The chattering problem of the sliding mode controller is eliminated by applying the saturation function for the switching function of the sliding mode control. The stability of the sliding mode control is verified by using Lyapunov function with the proper selection of variable gains. It is shown that with this simple switching algorithm, stability of the overall hybrid control system is ensured. Through the simulations, the PD-sliding mode algorithm is shown to have a good performance in the transient response as well as being robust against disturbances. The robustness of the PD-sliding mode algorithm is further demonstrated against various external disturbances in the real experiments of SPMSM motor control.

An Optimized PI Controller Design for Three Phase PFC Converters Based on Multi-Objective Chaotic Particle Swarm Optimization

  • The compound active clamp zero voltage soft switching (CACZVS) three-phase power factor correction (PFC) converter has many advantages, such as high efficiency, high power factor, bi-directional energy flow, and soft switching of all the switches. Triple closed-loop PI controllers are used for the three-phase power factor correction converter. The control objectives of the converter include a fast transient response, high accuracy, and unity power factor. There are six parameters of the controllers that need to be tuned in order to obtain multi-objective optimization. However, six of the parameters are mutually dependent for the objectives. This is beyond the scope of the traditional experience based PI parameters tuning method. In this paper, an improved chaotic particle swarm optimization (CPSO) method has been proposed to optimize the controller parameters. In the proposed method, multi-dimensional chaotic sequences generated by spatiotemporal chaos map are used as initial particles to get a better initial distribution and to avoid local minimums. Pareto optimal solutions are also used to avoid the weight selection difficulty of the multi-objectives. Simulation and experiment results show the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.

  • As Flat Panel Display become large in format, the data and gate lines turn into longer, parasitic capacitance and resistance increase, and the display signal is delayed. Three dimensional architecture of multiplexing data registration integrated circuit method is used that divides the data line into several blocks and provides the advantages of high accuracy, rapid selection, and reasonable switching speed.

동적 라우팅기반의 점대다중점 라우팅 경로 선택 (A Point-to-Multipoint Routing Path Selection Algorithm for Dynamic Routing Based ATM Network)

  • 본 논문은 ATM 시스템에서 동적 소스 기반의 점대다중점 호를 위한 라우팅 경로 택 방법을 제안한다. 특히 최적의 경로 선택보다는 리소스를 최대한 공유할 수 있고, 경로 계산 시간 단축 및 cycle 방지를 쉽게 보장할 수 있는 점대다중점 라우팅 경로 선택 방법을 제안하였다. 리소스를 최대한 공유할 수 있도록 하기 위해 착신지(destination) 노드로부터 가장 근거리의 branch point를 찾는 것이 이 알고리즘의 목표이다. 그러므로 목적(destination) 노드로부터 역 추적에 의해 인접한 노드중 같은 Call ID를 갖는 기존 경로상의 노드와 최초로 크로스(cross)되는 노드를 branch노드로 정하여 최적의 점대다중점 라우팅 경로를 구성하는 알고리즘이다. 크로스 노드를 찾을 때까지 역추적에 의해 선택되는 최적의 노트는 다익스트라 알고리즘을 이용하여 선택된다. 즉 점대다중점 라우팅 경로 선택은 역추적에 의한 인접 노드중 기존 경로와 크로스되는 노드 선택 단계와 각 인접 노드중 최적의 노드를 선택하는 단계를 수행한다. 이 기법은 경로 선정을 위한 라우팅 정보 테이블의 검색 및 경로 계산 과정을 단축시키고, 경로 설정시 cycle방지도 쉽게 해결한다.

은퇴 결정과 은퇴 전·후 소비의 상호작용 (Empirical Evidence of the Interdependence of Retirement and Pre- and Post-retirement Consumption)

  • "한국노동패널"을 이용하여 조기은퇴 행위와 지연은퇴 행위가 은퇴 전 후 소비에 미치는 영향을 2단계 전환회귀분석방법으로 분석하였다. 추정 과정에서 본 논문에서는 조기은퇴 결정이 은퇴 전 후 소비에 미치는 영향을 크게 두 가지로 구분하였다. 첫 번째는 조기은퇴 결정이 존재하는 경우와 존재하지 않는 경우를 비교하는 것으로서 추정결과 선택편의(selection bias)가 존재하는지를 통해 살펴보았다. 두 번째는 조기은퇴 결정 후 조기은퇴자의 소비를 지연은퇴자의 소비와 비교하는 것으로서, 소비의 소득탄력성을 비교하여 살펴보았다. 추정 결과 조기은퇴를 결정했을 경우 조기은퇴 결정이 존재하지 않는 경우와 비교했을 때 은퇴 전 소비가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 조기은퇴자와 지연은퇴자의 소비의 소득탄력성을 비교해 본 결과 소득이 증가하였을 때 조기은퇴자의 소비 증가폭이 지연은퇴자보다 작았다. 이상의 결과는 조기은퇴 결정 이후 상대적으로 길어진 은퇴 기간이 은퇴 전 소비에 영향을 미치고 있음을 보여주는 것이다.

Fast Switching Direct Torque Control Using a Single DC-link Current Sensor

  • This paper presents a fast switching direct torque control (FS-DTC) using only a single DC-link current sensor. In FS-DTC, six new active voltage complex space vectors (CSVs) are synthesized by the conventional active voltage space vectors (SVs). The corresponding sectors are rotated in the anticlockwise direction by 30 degrees. A selection table is defined to select the CSVs. Based on the "Different Phase Mode", the output sequence of the selected CSV is optimized. Accordingly, a reconstruction method is proposed to acquire the phase currents. The core of the FS-DTC is that all of the three phase currents can be reliably reconstructed during every two sampling periods, which is the result of the fast switching between different phases. The errors between the reconstructed and actual currents are strictly limited in one sampling period. The FS-DTC has the advantages of the standard DTC scheme such as simple structure, quick torque response and robustness. As can be seen in the analysis, the FS-DTC can be thought of as an equivalent standard DTC scheme with 86.6% of the maximum speed, 173.2% of the torque ripple, and 115% of the response time of the torque. Based on a dSPACE DS1103 controller, the FS-DTC is implemented in an induction machine drive system. The results verify the effectiveness of the FS-DTC.
