국내 시판 탄산수가 의치상용 레진의 표면에 미치는 영향 (The influence of commercially available carbonated water on the surface of denture based resin)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to confirm the influence of commercially available carbonated water on denture resin by confirming the changes in the denture surface and adhesion of bacteria. Methods: Carbonated water available in the domestic market was used on specimens made of prosthetic resins. The top four products with respect to sales performance was deposited for 30 min, 24 h, and 48 h over the study groups and over one control group. The surface roughness was measured. Candida albicans was inoculated and cultured over these dentures at 37℃ on the study groups of 1 h, 24 h, and 48 h, and the number of colonies formed was measured. Results: As a result of comparing the surface roughness between groups by immersion time, the difference between groups was confirmed at 48 hours. The Trevi group showed a larger Rz than the Samdasoo group. As a result of comparing the surface roughness by time in each group, statistical significance was shown in the Ra value of the Seagram and the Rz value of the Chojung sparkling water (p<0.05). The Ra value of the Seagram was higher for 48 h than for 30 min, and the Rz value of the Chojung sparkling water was higher at 48 h than at 30 min (p<0.05). Candida albicans concentration increased over the course of immersion. Conclusions: It was confirmed that longer the specimen of the denture resin was immersed in carbonated water, more the surface roughness was affected and higher the number of attached bacteria.

SCM415의 절단가공이 표면조도와 재료 두께에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Cutting off Processing SCM415 on Surface Roughness and Thickness of Materials)

  • This study focused on how it affects the surface roughness of work piece in cutting SCM415 steel, widely used steel in industry, by TiCN and TiN tools. Following conclusion was drawn from several experiments. The surface roughness of heat treated workpiece was better than that of non heat-treated materials. Moreover, the roughness of surface roughness(Ra 0.25) on feeding rate of 0.05 was better when it was in wet process, rather than dry process. As the feeding rate increases, TiCN coating tool shows better roughness of surface than TiN tool. Also, in heated treatment, TiCN coating tool shows the least straightness dimension deviation at feeding rate of 0.05, 0.15mm/rev, and concave-like R shape appears by the feeding rate orders of 0.05, 0.15, 0.1, 0.125 and 0.075mm/rev.

Improvement of the Surface Roughness of a 3D Stereolithographic Part for a Molded Interconnect Device

  • 3D printing technology has created a paradigm shift in industries by achieving breakthrough innovations and enabling the fabrication of complex products. However, 3D printed parts are inferior in terms of their strength and surface quality compared to parts fabricated by conventional manufacturing methods. This study aims to improve the surface roughness of stereolithographic parts by experimental analysis of the generated area error. A photocurable polymer material was used for fabrication, and the effect of important parameters, such as the material viscosity, printing speed, pneumatic pressure, UV intensity, and pattern spacing, on the surface roughness were analyzed. The results showed that a high-viscosity (12,000 cP) thixotropic material formed a constant pattern with an aspect ratio of 1:1, and the pattern shape was maintained after printing. A pattern with a minimum thickness of 145 ㎛ was formed at a printing speed of 70 mm/s and a pneumatic pressure of 20 kPa. These parameters were found to be suitable for low surface roughness. A UV laser at an intensity of 10 ~ 30 mW/cm2 was used to form a smooth surface at low curing intensities. Moreover, it was seen that with a pattern spacing of 110 ~ 130 ㎛, a stereolithographic part with a low surface roughness of Ra 1.29 ㎛ could be fabricated.

서로 다른 거칠기의 복합레진에 표면 강화제 도포시 표면 거칠기의 변화 (Effect of surface sealant on surface roughness of dental composite with different surface roughness)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 서로 다른 필러를 가지는 복합레진에서 표면 연마 정도에 따라 수종의 레진 표면 강화제(Surface sealant)를 도포했을 때 복합레진의 거칠기에 미치는 영향에 대해 연구해 보고자 한다. 연구 재료 및 방법: 미세입자형 복합레진(Metafil CX, Sun Medical Co.)과 혼합형 복합레진(AeliteTM LS posterior, Bisco)을 사용하여 직경 8 mm, 높이 4 mm의 시편을 레진당 60개씩 제작하고, 3개 군으로 나누어 주수 하에 600, 1000, 2000 grit 사포(Tamiya finishing abrasives, Tamiya Inc.)로 연마하였다. 연마된 표면의 표면 조도(Ra)값은 Surface Roughness Tester (SJ-301, Mytutoyo)를 이용해 측정하였으며 연마된 각 시편에 레진 표면 강화제인 BisCoverTM LV (Bisco), Optiguard® (Kerr), and Seal-n-ShineTM (Pulpdent)를 각각 제조사의 지시에 따라 도포하였다. 레진 표면 강화제 처리 전과 후에 시편의 표면 조도를 측정하였으며 주사전자현미경(JSM-7500, JEOL)과 원자현미경(MultiMode IV, Veeco Instruments)으로 관찰하였다. 결과: 600 grit 사포로 연마한 후 레진 표면 강화제를 처리한 군은 도포 전보다 더 낮은 표면 조도(Ra)값을 보였으나(P < 0.05), 1000, 2000 grit으로 연마한 군에서는 도포 전 후 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 레진 표면 강화제 제품 간 뚜렷한 거칠기 차이는 나타나지 않았다. SEM과 AFM으로 시편을 관찰 시 마무리와 연마 후 레진 표면에 형성된 미세한 결함이 레진 표면 강화제를 처리한 후 현저히 줄어드는 양상을 보였다. 결론: 본 연구 결과, 마무리와 연마 후 복합레진 표면이 거친 경우에는 레진 표면 강화제의 도포가 미세한 결함을 채워서 거칠기에 영향을 줄 수 있지만 복합레진 표면의 연마 상태가 우수한 경우 레진 표면 강화제의 도포가 거칠기에 크게 영향을 주지 않음을 보여준다.

Analysis of surface characteristics of (Y, Nb)-TZP after finishing and polishing

  • PURPOSE. This in vitro study aimed to evaluate the surface characteristics of a full veneer crown fabricated chairside (CS) from a (Y, Nb)-TZP zirconia block in response to conventional zirconia grinding and polishing. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Zirconia crowns (n = 40) were first prepared and divided into two groups of materials: Labside (LS) and CS, after which each specimen went through a five-step grinding and polishing procedure. Following each surface treatment, surface characteristics were analyzed using confocal laser microscopy (CLSM), average surface roughness (Ra) values were processed from the profile data through Gaussian filtering, and X-ray diffraction pattern analysis was performed to evaluate the monoclinic (M) phase content. Then, a representative specimen was selected for field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), followed by a final analysis of the roughness and X-ray diffraction of the specimens using the independent t-test and repeated measures analysis of variance (RM-ANOVA). RESULTS. In every group, polishing significantly reduced the Ra values (P < .001). There was no significant difference in Ra between the polished state CS and LS. Furthermore, CLSM and FE-SEM investigations revealed that even though grain exposure was visible in CS specimens throughout the as-delivered and ground states, the exposure was reduced after polishing. Moreover, while no phase transformation was visible in the LS, phase transformation was visible in CS after every surface treatment, with the M phase content of the CS group showing a significant reduction after polishing (P < .001). CONCLUSION. Within the limits of this study, clinically acceptable level of surface finishing of (Y, Nb)-TZP can be achieved after conventional zirconia polishing sequence.

  • In this paper, polishing method using bonded magnetic abrasive particle has been applied to the micro mold polishing. Through process control using the Run-to-Run control, it tried to form the surface roughness In order to grasp the influence of the surface roughness which is reached by selection of control factor and the factor, a design of experiment was been processed. The study is processed with a purpose of to embody and to maintain the surface roughness of nano scale by the basis of an influence between a control factor and the factors which has been selected in this way. As a result, the result of the process control converged at a target value of surface roughness Ra 10nm and Rmax 50nm

촉침식 3차원 표면거칠기 측정평가에 관한 연구 (A study on measuring and evaluating in stylus type 3-D surface roughness.)

  • Measurement of surface roughness has been done by two dimensional method until now. In recent, three dimensuional method is introduced for the precise measurement of surface roughness. But the study about stylus type three dimensional measurement method is a little. Therefore, in this study, arbitrary machined surface is selected and same part is measured by two dimensional and three dimensional method. The result is that the ratio of tow dimensional to three dimensional value is 0.9-1.1 in Ra. But two dimensional measurement method is underestimated because the ratio is 0.5-0.9 in Rz, Rmax. And it is suitable that the number of measuring line is 100 and y pitch is 5 um by three dimensional surface roughness measuring method.

표면거칠기 측정용 다이아몬드 촉침의 마모에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Wear of Diamond Stylus for Surface Roughness Measurement)

  • The practicability of Ion-Sputter machining renders it possible to make diamond stylus for surface roughness measurement with micro stylus tip radius less than 2${\mu}mR$, and to measure surface roughness of fine-machined surface. In this study, we researched the wear or Ion-Sputtered stylus with 0.1${\mu}mR$ and 0.5${\mu}mR$ for micro-figure measurement and polished stylus with 0.5${\mu}mR$ according to measurement distance. As a result, we know that the case of Ion-Sputtered stylus is worn down easilier the case of polished stylus. And we know that in the evaluation of stylus wear, it is more useful method that examine the wear by measuring the variation of stylus tip radius than by evaluating the variation of Ra values.

폴리카보네이트 판재의 재활용을 위한 자기연마 가공 (An Experimental Study on Magnetic Assisted Polishing of Polycarbonate Plate for Recycling)

  • This study has focused on transparency recovering of the polycarbonate by polishing its surface for recycling. The polycarbonate has many properties such as excellent mechanical strength, electrical insulating, superior heat resistance to other plastic material and especially good transparency. It has been used as barrier for the traffic noise at the roadside and the greenhouse for the palm house. But the polycarbonate has changed slightly as time goes by 10 years because of exposure to the strong sunlight and oxidization in the atmosphere, as result has lost its transparency. Magnetic assisted polishing has been utilized as an effective polishing method to recover the transparency of polycarbonate. The polycarbonate which has been used for 10 years was adopted as the sample. The first surface roughness of the sample was 1$1.23{\mu}mRa$, $7.5{\mu}mRz(DIN)$ respectively. In the experimental results, it showed that the surface roughness of the polished sample improved $0.013{\mu}mRa$, $0.08{\mu}mRz(DIN)$ from the first surface roughness respectively. The surface roughness get almost back again by magnetic assisted polishing. These results also showed that the magnetic assisted polishing was efficient machining method to reuse the polycarbonate material.

백색광간섭계를 이용한 금형용 강재 구멍가공면의 조도 측정 (Roughness Measurement of Hole Processing Surface for Mold Steel Using White Light Interferometer)

  • 본 실험에서는 NIMAX재료를 3차원 측정기 및 백색광간섭계를 이용, 진원도 측정과 표면조도 측정을 하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 절삭특성은 재료의 경도가 큰 관계로 2F의 조건보다 4F의 조건에서 낮게 나타났으며, 주축 회전수 및 공구 이송이 낮을수록 양호하게 나타났다. 3차원 측정기를 통한 진원도 측정은 절삭분력과 같은 4F 조건에서 양호하게 나타났으며, 주축회전수 1,700 rpm, 공구이송속도 85 mm/min의 조건에서 진원도는 양호한 결과를 보였다. 가공면의 표면거칠기는 2F 조건보다 4F의 조건에서 양호하게 나타났으며, 주축회전수 1,700 rpm, 공구이송속도 55 mm/min의 조건에서 Ra $0.4025{\mu}m$값을 보였다.
