This thesis is to investigate the one-dimensional consolidation behavior of soft marine clay with uniform surcharges by perfoming numerical and experimental works. Parametric experimental works of centrifuge model test were carried out changing test conditions of gravitational level in centrifuge, magnitude of surcharges and construction sequence of applying surcharges. Results of centrifuge model experiments were analyzed by using the numerical technique of explicit finite difference method based on the finite strain consolidation theory, being known to be appropriate to analyze the consolidational behavior of soft clay with a very high initial void ratio using the Lagrangian and the material coordinate systems. Test results were in relatively good agreements with analyzed results in terms of excess pore pressure dissipation and consolidation settlement with time and final void ratio distribution.

This research is an experimental work of investigating the behavior of soil nailing system under surcharges whereas most of them were concentrated on evaluating its capacity under selfweight of excavated ground. Model tests in laboratory were performed to investigate the ultimate bearing capacity of soil nailing system under surcharges in forms of strip loading. Tests were carried out to find parameters controlling its capacity such as length of nail, vertical and horizontal spacings between nails, inclination of nail installation, and loading position of surcharges. Failure mechanism of forming failure line due to surcharge to soil nailing system was also observed by using dyed sand and monitoring its behavior. From results of these test, effects of parameters was analyzed qualitatively. Thus, this experimental results could provide meaningful data to analyze and design this system later.

Purposes : In February 2014, the government said that the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) will enforce plan for reducing the financial burden from two major non-covered services including physician surcharges and private room charges, the main causes to increase uninsured, by 2017. The purpose of this study is to analyze the policy effect that performed so far by comparing out-of-pocket payment rates of policy process Methodology: This study analyzed admission medical expenses that occurred from January 2013 to March 2016 at a upper grade general hospitals in Daejeon. Number of study subjects were 134,924 and the data were analyzed with SPSS 22.0 program by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, ANOVA. The effect of two major non-payment improvement plan on out-of-pocket rates was ascertained via generalized estimating equation. Findings: Out-of-pocket payment rates was statistically significantly declined 2.7 percent than enforcement ago. Also, out-of-pocket payment, physician surcharge, the proportion of out-of-pocket payment of hospital room charge to out-of-pocket payment was statistically significantly declined. However, a further analysis of the cause of the decline in total medical costs is needed. Practical Implications: Physician surcharges and private room charges improvement policy had a positive effect on the decline of out-of-pocket payment rate. The policy of physician surcharges was very effective after the first policy enforcement but it was less effective to medical aids and near poor that was a more greater coverage than national health insurance. Since the policy has not been finalized, we have to continue a research for the successful implementation of the policy.

소일네일링 구조물의 설계 및 안정해석에 관한 지금까지의 연구는 대부분 굴착 배면지반의 자중만을 고려하여 연구 개발된 굴착사면에 인접하여 하중이 재하되는 경우, 그의 거동에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 원심모형시험기를 사용하여 하중재하시 소일네일링 구조물의 거동과 파괴 메카니즘에 관한 매개변수적 실험을 실시하였다. 매개변수적 실험에서는 네일의 길이 및 간격, 네일의 설치각, 하중재하위치 등을 다양하게 변화시키면서 1g 상태에서 축소모형실험을 실시하는 한편, 30g 및 50g까지 중력수준을 증가시킨 상태에서 상재하중실험을 실시하였다. 실험으로부터 얻어진 결과를 바탕으로 하중-침하 특성, 매개변수의 변화에 따른 영향, 중력수준의 증가에 따른 영향, 파괴메카니즘 등을 비교 분석하였다.

Urban flooding with surcharges in sewer system was investigated because of unexpected torrential storm events these days, causing significant amounts of human and economic damages. Although there are limitations in forecasting and preventing natural disasters, integrated urban flooding management system using the SWMM(Storm Water Management Model) engine and Web technology will be an effective tool in securing safety in operating rubber-tired transportation system. In this study, the study area, located in Chuncheon, Kangwon province, was selected to evaluate the applicability of the SWMM model in forecasting urban flooding due to surcharges in sewer system The catchment are 21.10 ha in size and the average slope is 2% in lower flat areas. Information of subcatchment, conjunctions, and conduits was used as the SWMM interface to model surface runoff generation, water distribution through the sewer system and amount of water overflow. Through this study, the applicability of the SWMM for urban flooding forecasting was investigated and probability distribution of storm events module was developed to facilitate urban flooding prediction with forecasted rainfall amounts. In addition, this result can be used to the establishment of disaster management system for rainfall safety of rubber-tired tram in the future.

This thesis is to investigate the sliding behavior of cantilever retaining wall by using the commercially available program of FLAC to simulate its behavior numerically. Cantilever retaining walls with flat base, sloped base and base with shear key, uniform surcharges being applied on the surface of backfill, were investigated to figure out appropriate location of shear key beneath the base of wall and, thus, its applicability to field condition was assessed by comparing the analyzed results to each other. On the other hand, previously performed centrifuge model test results (Eum, 1996) were analyzed numerically with FLAC to compare test results with respect to characteristics of load-settlement of surcharges and load-lateral movement of wall. Based on the failure mechanism observed during centrifuge tests, limit equilibrium method of finding the ultimate load inducing the sliding failure of wall was used to compare with values of the ultimate load obtained from conventional method of limit equilibrium method. Therefore, appropriate location of shear key was determined to mobilize the maximum resistance against sliding failure of wall.

이 연구는 Air France와 KLM의 실제 거래자료를 이용해 항공화물운송사업자들이 공동으로 부과한 유류할증료가 항공화물운임에 미친 영향을 실증분석하였다. 그 결과 유류할증료 부과가 '유류할증료가 없었다면 형성되었을 가격' 보다 높은 가격을 초래하지 않았으며 오히려 담합기간 중에 KLM이 실제 부과한 최종요금이 그 전후 기간에 비해 유의하게 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 추가적으로 실제의 유가변동과 유류할증료 간의 관계 및 유류할증료가 기본운임에 미친 영향도 분석하였다. 유가변동과 유류할증료 간의 관계에 대한 분석결과는 담합기간 동안 항공유 가격이 급등하였음에도 실제 부과된 유류할증료는 건교부의 엄격한 통제로 인해 급등하는 유가를 제대로 반영하지 못했다는 것을 보여준다. 이 기간 동안 유가상승에 대한 유류할증료의 탄력성도 1을 크게 하회하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, KLM와 Air France의 담합기간 중의 자료를 이용해 유류할증료와 기본운임 간의 관계를 회귀분석한 결과, 유류할증료의 증가는 기본운임의 하락을 초래하는 것으로 나타났다.

The final purpose of this study is to develop noise abatement procedures for minimizing damages caused by aircraft noise, to establish appropriate noise limits and to suggest a plan for imposing surcharges and penalties on aircraft infringing the noise limits. This study establishes noise abatement procedures and suggests a plan to complement and improve upon NMS in Gimpo International Airport by reviewing the NMS structure. In addition, this study establishes a noise limit at each noise monitoring system and a verification system to discriminate infringing aircraft. Finally, this study suggests a control plan for aircraft infringing the noise limit.

Bonus-Malus system in automobile insurance rewards claim-free policyholders by premium discounts and penalizes policyholders with claims by premium surcharges. The purpose of adopting bonus-malus system is to alleviate differences in risk propensity. A well-known side-effect of bonus-malus system is the tendency of policyholders to pay small claims themselves and not report them to their, in order to avoid future premium increases. This phenomenon is called hunger for bonus. In this paper, we introduces an alternative approach to the Bonus-Malus system in automobile insurance - the approach is based on a deductible theory; and then search for a proper way combining both of them. Also, we construct a new algorithm to determine the optimal strategy of the policyholder based on the proposed model.
