The reservoir is a major water supply source in the domestic agricultural environment, and the monitoring of water storage of reservoirs is important for the utilization and management of agricultural water resource. Remote sensing via satellite imagery can be an effective method for regular monitoring of widely distributed objects such as reservoirs, and in this study, image classification and image segmentation algorithms are applied to Sentinel-1 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery for water body detection in 53 reservoirs in South Korea. Six algorithms are used: Neural Network (NN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest (RF), Otsu, Watershed (WS), and Chan-Vese (CV), and the results of water body detection are evaluated with in-situ images taken by drones. The correlations between the in-situ water surface area and detected water surface area from each algorithm are NN 0.9941, SVM 0.9942, RF 0.9940, Otsu 0.9922, WS 0.9709, and CV 0.9736, and the larger the scale of reservoir, the higher the linear correlation was. WS showed low recall due to the undetected water bodies, and NN, SVM, and RF showed low precision due to over-detection. For water body detection through SAR imagery, we found that aquatic plants and artificial structures can be the error factors causing undetection of water body.
As an interest in the development of artificial intelligence(AI) technology in the water supply sector increases, we have developed an AI algorithm that can predict improvement decision-making ratings through repetitive learning using the data of pipe condition evaluation results, and present the most reliable prediction model through a verification process. We have developed the algorithm that can predict pipe ratings by pre-processing 12 indirect evaluation items based on the 2020 Han River Basin's basic plan and applying the AI algorithm to update weighting factors through backpropagation. This method ensured that the concordance rate between the direct evaluation result value and the calculated result value through repetitive learning and verification was more than 90%. As a result of the algorithm accuracy verification process, it was confirmed that all water pipe type data were evenly distributed, and the more learning data, the higher prediction accuracy. If data from all across the country is collected, the reliability of the prediction technique for pipe ratings using AI algorithm will be improved, and therefore, it is expected that the AI algorithm will play a role in supporting decision-making in the objective evaluation of the condition of aging pipes.
Low flow affects various fields such as river water supply management and planning, and irrigation water. A sufficient period of flow data is required to calculate the Flow Duration Curve. However, in order to calculate the Flow Duration Curve, it is essential to secure flow data for more than 30 years. However, in the case of rivers below the national river unit, there is no long-term flow data or there are observed data missing for a certain period in the middle, so there is a limit to calculating the Flow Duration Curve for each river. In the past, statistical-based methods such as Multiple Regression Analysis and ARIMA models were used to predict sulfur in the unmeasured watershed, but recently, the demand for machine learning and deep learning models is increasing. Therefore, in this study, we present the DNN technique, which is a machine learning technique that fits the latest paradigm. The DNN technique is a method that compensates for the shortcomings of the ANN technique, such as difficult to find optimal parameter values in the learning process and slow learning time. Therefore, in this study, the Flow Duration Curve applicable to the unmeasured watershed is calculated using the DNN model. First, the factors affecting the Flow Duration Curve were collected and statistically significant variables were selected through multicollinearity analysis between the factors, and input data were built into the machine learning model. The effectiveness of machine learning techniques was reviewed through statistical verification.

The recognition for future global environment was studied targeting the university students who will be grown as general public composing our society in this study. The rate recognizing as the complex space of natural objects and artifacts is very low for non-science majored university students. Also, the rate recognizing global environment change from now to the future as negative. The environment recognition should be changed as that the university students can imagine the human live together with the nature in the image of future global environment. The environment education find out and practice the method that human can co-exist together to the direction of co-exist with the nature. Also, the rate internalizing future global environment as the space the human amends for non-science majored university students. This result is interpreted as shown the point of view that the global environment can be improved by the human activity, and it suggests the direction of environment education the university should supply. The environment education direction should be converted from the eduction of environment or the eduction from environment to the education for environment. The opportunity for global environment education should be provided to all university students without the discrimination on the major in the university education course. Sustainable global environment eduction is necessary for our son and daughter live on the earth continuously.

Ship officers are subject to excessive job stress, which has negative physical and psychological impacts and may adversely affect the smooth supply and demand of human resources. In this study, a mobile web application was developed as a tool for systematic job stress measurement and management of officers and verified through quality evaluation. Requirement analysis was performed by ship officers and staff in charge of human resources of shipping companies, and the results were reflected in the application configuration step. The application was designed according to the waterfall model, which is a traditional software development method, and functions were implemented using JSP and Spring Framework. Performance evaluation on the user interface, confirmed that proper input and output results were implemented, and the respondent results and the database were configured in the administrator interface. The results of evaluation questionnaires for quality evaluation of the interface based on ISO/IEC 9126-2 metric were significant 4.60 for the user interface and 4.65 for the administrator interface in a 5-point scale. In the future, it is necessary to conduct follow-up research on the development of data analysis system through utilization of the collected big-data sets.
Recently, the government has been expanding the supply of hydrogen vehicles according to the roadmap for vitalizing the hydrogen economy, but is developing safety assessment and inspection technology for the relevant vehicles. This study analyzed the prevention of hydrogen bus accidents' economic effect that arises from the application and development of large-capacity CHSS oil pressure repetition-test assessment technology, hydrogen bus internal chamber pressure transmission and emission volume inspection technology, among various technologies capable of assessing the safety of a hydrogen bus fuel system. To this end, the contingent valuation method (CVM), one of the value evaluation methods of non-market goods, was applied to investigate users' willingness to pay for each inspection technology. The survey for users' willingness to pay was conducted by attaching posters to promote surveys on the internet and within buses to the entire public. As a result of the analysis, the average WTP of the hydrogen bus internal chamber pressure transmission volume inspection technology was 25.3 KRW, the average WTP of the hydrogen bus internal chamber pressure emission volume inspection technology was 18.6 KRW, and the average WTP of the large-capacity CHSS oil pressure repetition-test assessment technology was measured at 16.7 KRW. In addition, the costs and benefits of the introduction of the relevant inspection technology were defined through the interviewing of experts at related research institutions and businesses. As a result of conducting an economic analysis (4.5% discount rate) according to the development of each inspection technology, economic feasibility was seen in all assessment and inspection technologies. As much as the technology is indispensable for the safe use of hydrogen buses, it shows that investment in related technology is very necessary in the future. However, because it was decided that the relevant analysis will differ according to the distribution rate of hydrogen buses, further analysis following this future distribution rate of hydrogen buses is needed, and future users should be made clearly aware of the safety and environmental nature of the technology.

Objectives : Obesity is a chronic metabolic disease caused by disorder of energy balance and lipid metabolism. This study was conducted by histopathology and histomorphometry to investigate the anti-obesity effects of mixed water extract of Plantaginis Semen & Poria (CJB) on liver, epididymal fat pads and pancreas zymogen granules in obese rats induced with high fat diet. Method : Male Sprague-Dawley rats to be divided four groups were fed into four different treatments: normal (NOR) diet, high-fat (HF) diet, HF diet+CJB (100 mg/kg and 300 mg/kg, P.O.) for 8 weeks. The weekly body weights were measured in four experimental groups, respectively. Also histopathological and histomorphometrical changes of liver, epididymal fat pads and pancreas zymogen granules were observed in normal control and obese rats, respectively. Results : Adminstration of CJB significantly reduced body weights compared to those of HF group for experimental period. After 8 weeks, liver weights in the CJB groups were lower than those of HF group. In addition, HF diet related steatohepatitis, adipocyte hypertrophy, exocrine disturbances (decreases of pancreatic zymogen granules) were also dose-dependently inhibited by treatment of test material, CJB 100 and CJB 300 as compared with HF group, respectively. Conclusion : Based on the results, it is considered that CJB will be showed hepatoprotective and anti-obese effects, may be directly and/or indirectly mediated by pancreatic zymogen granules because they dose-dependently inhibited steatohepatitis, hypertrophy of adipocytes and decreases of pancreatic zymogen granules induced by HF diet supply, respectively.

In this paper, a small-scale model testing system was developed using a series of small-scale model tests to analyze the mechanism of compaction pile formation and evaluate the quality of controlled grading aggregates proposed as an alternative material to the sand compaction pile (SCP) method and granular compaction pile (GCP). These are the most typical ground improvement methods in field practice, particularly for soft grounds. However, the SCP has faced difficulties due to the supply shortage of natural sand and the corresponding price surge of sand. The GCP is limited in marine soft grounds because of the failure occurring at the pile tip caused by excessive expansion of the deeper bulbs, leading to uneven bulb formation. The uniformity of compacted pile bulbs is critical to ensuring the bearing capacity and quality of the compaction pile. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the new material and controlled grading aggregates using small-scale model tests simulating field compaction process to investigate its potential application in comparison with SCP. The compaction piles are examined in four cases according to different materials used for compaction pile and clay strength. The compaction pile materials, which are made of sand and controlled grading aggregates, used in this study were compared to reveal the mechanism of the bulb creation. The experimental data confirm that the bulb formation quality of the traditional sand and the new material, controlled grading aggregates are comparable. The compaction pile made of controlled grading aggregates presents higher bearing capacity than that of marine sand.

The number of ships using liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel is increasing to respond to the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) air pollutant emission regulations. At the same time, the need to expand LNG bunkering infrastructure for stable fuel supply and demand for ships is emerging. LNG bunkering is carried out in three ways: truck to ship (TTS), pipe to ship (PTS), and ship to ship (STS). In foreign countries, all three methods are being carried out, but in Korea, LNG bunkering is carried out only with the TTS method owing to the lack of infrastructure. LNG bunkering is a high-risk operation. For safe bunkering operations, the competence of the workers is extremely important, and a professional training course is required to strengthen the competence. This study was conducted to design training contents for LNG bunkering workers for fostering LNG bunkering experts and performing safe and systematic bunkering work. To this end, the current status of LNG-fueled ships and bunkering was identified, and related domestic and abroad educational contents were analyzed. In addition, opinions on the importance of educational contents were collected through expert questionnaires. Consequently, we designed training contents suitable for various training targets and divided them into basic and advanced training courses, with a duration of 4 days, and proposed. Based on the designed training contents, if additional research is conducted by sufficiently reflecting Korea's bunkering environment, it will be of great help to improve the competence of LNG bunkering workers and to foster human resources.

In order to satisfy the extraction and use of information such as estimates and processes required in the design and construction stages of BIM, which is an expectation of overall construction operation for the design and construction stage of domestic buildings, it is insufficient to supply and apply mobile technologies or terminals. In this paper, standardization of BIM-based processes from the design stage to the construction stage is proposed as an efficient construction system method through mobile-based simulation and test-bed case analysis review. The current status and potential of BIM application were identified through theoretical review of BIM and case studies at home and abroad. In addition, the overall flow of the project and the direction of effective process construction were investigated through each process by 3D, 4D, and 5D execution stage and the role of each collaborator. 4D building process BIM simulation system using mobile was implemented by applying a visualization engine that simulates process information, object information connection module, and related object information. Therefore, it was possible to minimize the possibility of re-construction of the BIM design and construction process model through the visualization of 2D drawings based on the 3D model of the building and the review of errors and interferences in the drawings. In addition, in the implementation of simulation for each process of the construction process through mobile devices, it was possible to support construction progress and process management according to the optimal option selected by the user.
