간호대학생을 위한 전자태아감시 자가학습 교재의 개발 및 적용효과 (Development and Effects of Supplementary Material about Electronic Fetal Monitoring for Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop supplementary material about the electronic fetal monitoring for nursing students, and to test the effects on electronic fetal monitoring related knowledge and confidence on nursing performance in delivery room. Methods: Totally 58 nursing students were recruited either experimental group (n=30) or a control group (n=28). A non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was employed to test the effects on fetal monitoring related knowledge and confidence on nursing performance in delivery room. The supplementary material about the electronic fetal monitoring was developed based on Analysis, Design, Development, Implement and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. Fetal monitoring related knowledge and confidence on nursing performance in delivery room were self-reported by the scales that author developed. Data were collected at pre-test and after the 6-week intervention. Results: There was significant difference in confidence on nursing performance in delivery room between two groups after intervention. Conclusion: These findings suggest the importance of the supplementary material about the electronic fetal monitoring for nursing students to improve confidence on nursing performance in delivery room.

Utilising artificial neural networks for prediction of properties of geopolymer concrete

  • The most popular building material, concrete, is intrinsically linked to the advancement of humanity. Due to the ever-increasing complexity of cementitious systems, concrete formulation for desired qualities remains a difficult undertaking despite conceptual and methodological advancement in the field of concrete science. Recognising the significant pollution caused by the traditional cement industry, construction of civil engineering structures has been carried out successfully using Geopolymer Concrete (GPC), also known as High Performance Concrete (HPC). These are concretes formed by the reaction of inorganic materials with a high content of Silicon and Aluminium (Pozzolans) with alkalis to achieve cementitious properties. These supplementary cementitious materials include Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS), a waste material generated in the steel manufacturing industry; Fly Ash, which is a fine waste product produced by coal-fired power stations and Silica Fume, a by-product of producing silicon metal or ferrosilicon alloys. This result demonstrated that GPC/HPC can be utilised as a substitute for traditional Portland cement-based concrete, resulting in improvements in concrete properties in addition to environmental and economic benefits. This study explores utilising experimental data to train artificial neural networks, which are then used to determine the effect of supplementary cementitious material replacement, namely fly ash, Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) and silica fume, on the compressive strength, tensile strength, and modulus of elasticity of concrete and to predict these values accordingly.

  • This paper introduces a supplementary module reducing tile standby-power of Power Line Communication(PLC) modem, one of the network equipments that take up much of tile stand-by power. This supplementary module consists of three parts, such as a compare part, a control part, and a switch part. This supplementary module controls the power going from the power supply element into PLC modem, which brings about the effect of standby-power reduction. It is assured that over 30% standby-power reduction is estimated when we applied this module to a low-speedy PLC control modem.

수학학습부진아 지도를 위한 도움자료의 개발과 효과 분석 (The development of teaching material for stow learners in mathematics and the analysis of its effect)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop an effective teaching material for slow learners in mathematics and to investigate its effect. To achieve the first goal, several pre-used teaching material and the 7th national curriculum for elementary school mathematics were analyzed to set up a framework fur developing new teaching material. Using these developed framework and curriculum data, 370 units of lesson were developed from the 3rd grade to the 6th grade. To investigate the effect of the material, 3 slow learners (2 from the 5th and 1 from the 6th grade) were selected through diagnostic tests. Then supplementary lessons were administered after school to relieve their disability accordingly for seven months. During the lessons(lasted about 40 minutes), teacher observed the subjects in detail and .judged the teaming sequence and the learning pace. Through this observation and the test administered after the treatment, several conclusions were drawn as follow: First, the supplementary lessons using the developed teaching material helped slow learners understand mathematics and solve problems. Especially, the test scores gained on formative evaluation became higher. This might be caused by the material that enabled to relieve the disablement and the teaching method that aimed to give a meaningful mathematical experience. Second, the supplementary lessons affected positively to the affective domain of the slow learners. They convinced themselves to their mathematical ability and became active in their mathematics class. This was observed by researcher and the class teacher in their lessons. Positive attitude toward mathematics and their ability is quite important for mathematics learning especially fur slow learners in mathematics.

시멘트 대체재료를 사용한 노후 저수지의 사면 개량에 따른 차수 및 보강 효과 분석 (Analysis of the Waterproof and Reinforcement Effect according to Slope Improvement of Aging Reservoir using Supplementary Cementitious Material)

  • 본 연구에서는 비탈면 보강을 위해 순환자원을 재활용하여 개발된 시멘트 대체재료를 사용하여 노후 저수지의 사면 개량 재료로 활용하기 위해 실내시험 및 수치해석, 현장에서의 시험시공을 실시하고, 결과를 분석하였다. 실내시험 결과, 점착력과 내부마찰각의 변화를 고려할 때 시멘트 대체재료의 혼합비는 9 %가 적절하며, 투수계수는 약 10,000배 감소하여 국내에서 적용되고 있는 차수재료에 근접한 수준을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 수치해석과 시험시공 결과, 시멘트 대체재료를 사용하여 보강한 부분에서는 침투가 발생하지 않고, 국내 기준 대비 높은 안전율을 확보할 수 있어 충분한 차수 및 보강효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 노후 저수지를 보강하기 위해 사용되고 있는 기존의 시멘트를 사용한 보수 및 보강방법을 충분히 대체할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Fly ash is the most common artificial pozzolan, which is a material precipitated electrostatically from the exhaust gases of coal-fired power stations. Fly ash can be used as the supplementary material as well as the material for high performance concrete and hence, the development of high-volume fly ash concrete is imperative. In this study, the characteristics of drying shrinkage of high volume fly ash concrete is investigated. It is found from test results that as the replaced amount of fly ash in concrete is increased, drying shrinkage of concrete is reduced.

잣버섯 봉지재배시 영양원이 균사배양 및 자실체 생육에 미치는 영향 (Effect on Mycelial Growth and Fruit Body Development According to Supplementary Nutrition in Bag Cultivation of Neolentinus lepideus)

  • 적정 영양원을 선발하기 위하여 5가지의 재료(옥수수가루, 옥수수피, 콘코브, 비트펄프, 감자전분)를 이용하여 재배실험을 실시한 결과 혼합배지의 총 질소함량은 옥수수가루 첨가구가 0.45%로 가장 높았다. 혼합배지에 따른 배양율과 재배일수는 옥수수가루 처리구에서 배양율 97%로 가장 좋았고, 재배기간 43일로 가장 짧았다. 그리고 옥수수가루 처리구에서 수량은 122 g/1 kg 봉지, 생물학적효율은 35%로 다른 처리구에 비해 가장 높았다. 자실체 생산량에 관여하는 인자 분석에서는 총 질소함량 (r = 0.95)과 조지방(r = 0.65)으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과 잣버섯 재배는 배지 영양원으로 옥수수가루와 자실체 생산량에 관여하는 인자로 총질소함량으로 판단된다.

Effect of supplementary cementitious materials on the degradation of cement-based barriers in radioactive waste repository: A case study in Korea

  • This study focuses on investigating the chemical degradation characteristics of cementitious barriers used in low-and intermediate-level radioactive waste repository by reactive transport modeling. The impact of the blending with supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) in the barriers on the chemical degradation was evaluated to find the optimum barrier design. A number of different barrier designs were examined by replacing ordinary Portland cement (OPC) by SCMs (i.e., fly ash, silica fume, and blast-furnace slag). The simulation results showed that silica fume blended barrier has better durability against chemical degradation by rainwater compared to fly ash or blast-furnace slag blended barriers. In addition, the chemical durability of silica fume-based barrier increased with increasing replacement level up to about 20 %. It seems that the amount of formed calcium silicate hydrate (CSH) in the initial cement-based barrier highly affects the overall chemical durability. The newly developed reactive transport model demonstrated its capability for understanding the barrier performance and investigating the optimal design of the barrier system.

비누화 및 액체크로마토그래프를 활용한 고상 건강기능식품 중 라이코펜 분석법 개발 (A simple method to determine lycopene in solid supplementary food preparations using saponification and liquid chromatography)

  • 라이코펜은 카로티노이드의 일종으로 심혈관계 위험인자, 혈중지질, 혈압 등을 낮추는 효과를 가지는 것으로 알려져 있어, 액상 내용물이 충진된 연질캡슐, 고상 내용물이 충진된 경질캡슐을 포함하는 다양한 제형의 라이코펜 건강기능식품이 유통되고 있다. 그러나, 최근 본 연구진은 현 건강기능식품공전 중 라이코펜 시험법의 고상 건강기능식품 적용에 한계가 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서, 본 논문에 비누화 반응 및 액체크로마토그래프에 기반한 신규 고상 건강기능식품 중 라이코펜 시험법의 개발을 보고하는 바이다. 신규 개발 시험법은 식품의약품안전평가원 가이드라인에 의거하여 밸리데이션 되었고, 모든 항목 결과가 가이드라인 기준을 만족함(특이성, 직선성 r2≥0.991, 정량한계 0.0149 mg/mL, 정확도(회수율) 92.70~97.18 %, 반복성(회수율의 상대표준편차) 0.85~1.59 %, 재현성(실험실 간 회수율의 상대표준편차) 3.70 %)을 확인하였다. 또한 인증표준물질을 활용한 적용성 평가에서도 높은 정확도(98.81~101.59 %)가 관찰되어, 신규 시험법의 개발이 성공적이었음을 재확인하였다. 따라서, 신규 개발 시험법은 향후 고상 라이코펜 건강기능식품 관리에 활용되어 국내 건강식품안전관리에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
