  • The aim of the study is to investigate the factors which decide an airport service quality and the differentiation of perception on the airport service quality between airport users and airport authority. For the purpose of this study, the determinants of airport service quality were factors analyzed on the basis of service marketing concept. In order to identify an airport service quality dimension, the writer conducted mail survey and individual interview from the Korean freight forwarders, the 3PL entities, integrators and the airport operation authority. The result of this study is summarized as follows. 1. The dimen measurement was confirmed as a superior method to dimension of service competitiveness.sions of airport service quality consist of five factors; tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy. 2. There are notable differences in cognition of airport service quality between airport authority's perception and airport customer, and between airport customer's perception and expectation.

  • Subjects on one side of the covariate population can be allocated to the inferior treatment when there is interaction between the covariate and treatment along with a response-adaptive (RA) design without covariate adjustment. An RA design allows a newly entered subject to have a better chance so that the subject is treated by a superior treatment based on cumulative information from previous subjects. A covariate-adjusted response-adaptive (CARA) is the same as RA design and additionally adjusts the allocation based on individual covariate information. A comparison has been made for the sequential estimation procedure with and without covariate adjustment to see how ignoring significantly interactive covariate affects the correct treatment allocation. Using logistic models, we present simulation results regarding the coverage probability of treatment effect, correct allocation, and stopping time.

  • An experimental investigation on the strength and behavior of High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cement Composite(HPFRCC) column with Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) fibers under axial load have been carried out. The columns were subjected to monotonic axial compression until failure. The variables in this study are the combination ratio of PVA, and the volumetric ratio of transverse reinforcement. Test results showed that the fibers, when used in PVA2.0, could result in superior composite performance compared to their individual fiber reinforced cement composites.

  • This study is intended to suggest1 the optimized data mining model for the efficient customer credit evaluation in the capital finance industry. To accomplish the research objective, various data mining models for the customer credit evaluation are compared and analyzed. Furthermore, existing models such as Multi-Layered Perceptrons, Multivariate Discrimination Analysis, Radial Basis Function, Decision Tree, and Logistic Regression are employed for analyzing the customer information in the capital finance market and the detailed data of capital financing transactions. Finally, the data from the integrated model utilizing a genetic algorithm is compared with those of each individual model mentioned above. The results reveals that the integrated model is superior to other existing models.

  • Learning methodologies such as neural networks or genetic algorithms usually require long training times. Case based reasoning, however, attains peak performance swiftly and is often appropriate for learning even with small data sets. Previous work has shown that an extended case reasoning methodology can yield superior performance in the task of predicting financial data series. This paper examines the impact of reasoning procedures on stock price prediction. The following characteristics are evaluated: size of input vector, multiplicity of neighboring states, and a scaling factor for growth. The concepts are illustrated in the context of predicting the price of an individual price.

  • The location of mobile terminals in cellular networks is an important problem in the field of information technology with applications in resource allocation, location sensitive browsing, and emergency communications. Finding location estimation techniques that are robust to non-line of light (NLOS) propagation is a key problem in this area. Time of arrival (TOA) and pattern matching (PM) measurements can be made simultaneously by CDMA cellular networks at low cost. The different sources of errors for each measurement type cause TOA and PM measurements to contain independent information about mobile station (MS) locations. This paper combines the information of PM and TOA measurements to calculate a superior location estimate. The proposed location estimator is robust, provides lower error than the estimators based on the individual measurements, and has low implementation costs.

  • In this paper through the implementation of cooperative learning using SDG, education puzzle actually applies to computer training. SDG(Single Display Groupware) which one computer display have a multi-input devices can work as a collaborative system. Learners are performing together through SDG-based cooperative learning system. SDG cooperative learning with a multi-input device is superior to traditional learning with individual. We have implementation of the puzzle game with this fact. This system through effective education and raising their children's education participation rate will be able to do.

  • This paper presents an advanced virtual lecture system for power system which is based on web. So far, conventional web-based virtual lecture systems which simply would use hyper-text couldn't use characteristics of multimedia in web. Comparing with printed publication, such conventional virtual lecture systems as only display on monitor couldn't be superior in validity and effectiveness. So, in this paper the proposed virtual lecture system uses web-based multimedia functions, including lecture-note and AOD(Audio on Demand), in order to overcome an individual difference of learning efficiency and suggests simple simulation programs for lecture contents which can be performed directly in on-line.

  • In this paper, the evolutionary algorithm was specifically formulated for optimization with continuous parameter space. The proposal was motivated by the fact that the genetic algorithms have been most intensively reported for parameter identification problems with continuous search space. The difference of primary characteristics between genetic algorithms and the proposed algorithm, discrete or continuous individual representation has made different areas to which the algorithms should be applied. Results obtained by optimization of some well-known test functions indicate that the proposed algorithm is superior to genetic algorithms in all the performance, computation time and memory usage for continuous search space problems.

  • This research uses measures of transformational and transactional leadership to examine its impact on subordinate psychological empowerment and on his/her creativity in 3 resort complexes. For a total of 462 respondents, followers' sense of increased empowerment and creativity are significantly and positively related to the transformational leadership behaviors of their immediate superior, including charismatic attributes and behaviors, individual consideration, and intellectual stimulation. Two of the three transactional leadership measures, including contingent reward and management-by-exception(active), correlate positively with the followers' perceived empowerment and creativity, but the rest one, management-by-exception(passive), negatively with them. The impact of all of the three measures of transformational leadership and the two of transactional leadership(i.e., contingent reward and active management-by-exception) on subordinate creativity is partially mediated by the subordinate empowerment.
