This paper provides a practical control scheme called three-step input method in order to minimize both robot response time and the resulting residual vibration when the robot manipulator reaches its defined end point. This work is concerned with defining a simple practical method to utilize step inputs to achieve optimum response. The optimum response is achieved by using a self- adjusting input command function that is obtained during a real time processing . The practicality of this control scheme is demonstrated by using an analog computer to simulate a simulate a simple flexible robot and conventional servo controller. The experiments focus on point-to-point movement. Also, this method requires little computational effort through the intelligent use of conventional servo control technology and the robot's vibration characteristics.

This paper is concerned with the existence of solutions to the following fractional differential inclusion $$\{-{\frac{d}{dx}}\(p_0D^{-{\beta}}_x(u^{\prime}(x)))+q_xD^{-{\beta}}_1(u^{\prime}(x))\){\in}{\partial}F_u(x,u),\;x{\in}(0,1),\\u(0)=u(1)=0,$$ where $_0D^{-{\beta}}_x$ and $_xD^{-{\beta}}_1$ are left and right Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals of order ${\beta}{\in}(0,1)$ respectively, 0 < p = 1 - q < 1 and $F:[0,1]{\times}{\mathbb{R}}{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}$ is locally Lipschitz with respect to the second variable. Due to the general assumption on the constants p and q, the problem does not have a variational structure. Despite that, here we study it combining with an iterative technique and nonsmooth critical point theory, we obtain an existence result for the above problem under suitable assumptions. The result extends some corresponding results in the literatures.

Let H be a Hilbert space which is the direct sum of five closed subspaces $X_0,\;X_1,\;X_2,\;X_3$ and $X_4$ with $X_1,\;X_2,\;X_3$ of finite dimension. Let J be a $C^{1,1}$ functional defined on H with J(0) = 0. We show the existence of at least four nontrivial critical points when the sublevels of J (the torus with three holes and sphere) link and the functional J satisfies sup-inf variational inequality on the linking subspaces, and the functional J satisfies $(P.S.)^*_c$ condition and $f|X_0{\otimes}X_4$ has no critical point with level c. For the proof of main theorem we use the nonsmooth version of the classical deformation lemma and the limit relative category theory.

We installed the measurement equipment which measure the equivalent Salt Deposit Density(ESDD) of the domestic coast area in the selected 112 place and investigated the influence of the wind which blow at the point of 500m from coast installing a wind vane, wind gauge for realtime measurement. During september${\sim}$december, 2005, ESDD which passively measured at the point of 50m from coast is maximum C grade in the Homigot of Pohang, B grade in the Gochang and A grade in the remaining point. Also ESDD which is measured in the east coast, west coast respectively is the more the distance being far from the coast to inland, the more ESDD rapidly decreasing but each area of the south coast is difficult to identify the decreased tendency because of very low measurements.

Transient stabilization with voltage regulation is investigated for a synchronous generator when the mechanical power is perturbed to any unknown value within its physical bounds so that the operating point of the system shifts to an unknown point. An adaptive excitation controller is designed based on the backstepping method with tuning functions. It will be shown that the adaptive control law proposed can achieve the convergence of the system states to the new equilibrium point in correspondence with the real value of the unknown mechanical power and the regulation of the terminal voltage to the required value. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller for the transient stabilization and voltage regulation.

The output characteristics of solar cell vary with load and solar insolation. Therefore solar cell must always track maximum power point. If photovoltaic system is stand-alone. It is necessary to maintain for output of voltage source inverter. In this paper, stand-alone photovoltaic system consists of boost chopper and voltage source inverter. We make it to track maximum power point by revolution of solar cell array instead of detecting situation of sun in any conditions. And we prove that maximum power point tracking by revolution of solar cell array is better than fixed solar cell.

본 논문에서는 지문 인식을 하는데 있어서 특징점의 정보를 이용하여 지문을 정합하는 방법을 제안 하였다. 지문에는 중심점(core point), 삼각주(delta point), 분기점(bifurcation), 단점(ending point)들이 있는데, 본 논문에서는 먼저 poincare index를 이용하여 중심점을 검출한다. 검출된 중심점을 중심으로 하여 관심영역(ROI : region of interest)을 결정하여 영역내의 특징점들을 검출하여, 각 각 특징별로 분류한 다음 중심점과 특징점들과의 관계를 계산하여 지문 정합에 이용한다. 입력 받은 지문은 개개인 각각 양손 모두 10개의 손가락에서 센서의 누르기 압력을 다르게 하여 2번 입력 받아 사용하였다. 실험 결과 기존의 특징점 기반 알고리즘 보다 더 적은 영역에서 좀 더 정확하고 신뢰할 수 있는 지문 정합을 보여줌을 확인 하였다.

This paper aims to analyze the pronunciation of Korean Point-of-Interest (POI) data, which consist of 224 sound files, from the phonological point of view, adapting the notion of prosodic word within the framework of Intonational Phonology. Each POI word is broken down into prosodic words, which are defined as the minimal sequence of segments which can be produced as one Accentual Phrase (AP). Then the pronunciation of the POI word considering its prosodic words are analyzed. The results show that: in most cases, a prosodic word is realized as one AP; that, in some cases, two prosodic words are pronounced as one AP: and that no cases are found where 3 prosodic words are realized as one AP.

This paper is concerned with the existence of monotone positive solutions for a class of nonlinear third-order three-point boundary value problem. By applying iterative techniques, we not only obtain the existence of monotone positive solutions, but also establish iterative schemes for approximating the solutions. An example is also included to illustrate the importance of the results obtained.

This paper presents a new algorithm for P-wave detection in the ECG signal. We detect the peak and valley point using significant point extraction algorithm with 9-point derivative. Because P-wave duration is changed according to heart-rates, we search for the R-peak and calculate the R-R interval time prior to the determination of P-wave duration threshold values in order to actively adapt to the change of P duration. We determine the parameters for P-wave detection and then P-peak, P-onset and P-offset are detected by these parameters. The results obtained from the proposed algorithm have detected successively P-wave almost more than 90%.
