비고전적으로 감쇠하는 선형 진동시스템의 주파수응답 (Frequency Response of Nonclassically Damped Linear Systems)

  • Nonclassically damping domes from drastic variations of energy absorption rates of the materials in different parts of structures, or from the external damping sources inserted into the structures. In this study, an approximate method to calculate the frequency response of a method is superior to other approaches in respect of computational effort and accuracy. In addition, when frequency response is calculated by neglecting the off-diagonal elements of modal damping matrix, a criterion to ensure small errors is derived. In is shown that the criterion can be described as the vector sum of each modal coupling to the corresponding mode.

  • This paper presents two algorithms based on the concept of the frequency domain adaptive filter(FDAF). First the frequency domain recursive least squares(FRLS) algorithm with the overlap-save filtering technique is introduced. This minimizes the sum of exponentially weighted square errors in the frequency domain. To eliminate discrepancies between the linear convolution and the circular convolution, the overlap-save method is utilized. Second, the sliding method of data blocks is studied Co overcome processing delays and complexity roads of the FRLS algorithm. The size of the extended data block is twice as long as the filter tap length. It is possible to slide the data block variously by the adjustable hopping index. By selecting the hopping index appropriately, we can take a trade-off between the convergence rate and the computational complexity. When the input signal is highly correlated and the length of the target FIR filter is huge, the FRLS algorithm based on the block processing technique has good performances in the convergence rate and the computational complexity.

Dynamic Modulation Transfer Function Analysis of Images Blurred by Sinusoidal Vibration

  • The dynamic modulation transfer function (MTF) for image degradation caused by sinusoidal vibration is formulated based on a Bessel function of the first kind. The presented method makes it possible to obtain an analytical MTF expression derived for arbitrary frequency sinusoidal vibration. The error obtained by the use of finite order sum approximations instead of infinite sums is investigated in detail. Dynamic MTF exhibits a stronger random behavior for low frequency vibration than high frequency vibration. The calculated MTFs agree well with the measured MTFs with the slant edge method in imaging experiments. With the proposed formula, allowable amplitudes of any frequency vibration are easily calculated. This is practical for the analysis and design of the line-of-sight stabilization system in the remote sensing camera.

초공진기를 이용한 노란색 레이저의 선폭 축소 및 초공진기의 예리도 측정 (Linewidth Reduction of a Yellow Laser by a Super-cavity and the Measurement of the Cavity Finesse)

  • 이터븀 광격자 시계의 검색 레이저로 쓰기 위하여, WG-PPLN를 사용하여 1319 nm 파장의 Nd:YAG 레이저와 1030 nm 파장의 Yb 도핑된 광섬유 레이저의 합주파수 (578.4 nm)를 발생시켰다. 이터븀 광격자에서 시계 전이선을 분광하기 위해서는 1 Hz 수준의 선폭을 가지는 검색 레이저가 필요하기 때문에, 합주파수로 발생된 노란색 레이저의 주파수를 초공진기에 안정화하여 선폭을 축소하였다. 초공진기는 선팽창 계수가 낮은 ULE로 제작되었고, 진동으로 인한 영향이 작은 받침점에서 능동형 제진대 위에 설치되었다. 공기 굴절률의 영향을 제거하기 위하여 이 초공진기를 진공 체임버 내부에 설치하고, 온도를 1 mK 수준에서 안정화 하였다. 또한, 이 장치들을 방음 체임버 안에 설치하여, 소리로 인한 잡음을 막아 주었다. 실험에 사용된 초공진기의 광자 수명시간으로부터, 그 예리도가 380 000으로 측정되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 정규확률변수의 곱과 그의 합으로 표현되는 통계량의 분포에 대한 효과적인 근사법을 다루었다. 이차 형식에 대한 안장점근사에 기초한 이 방법은 기존의 정규근사에 비해 매우 정확한 결과를 제공한다. 또한 이에 대한 응용으로 FSK 통신에서 발생하는 문제를 제시하고, 그 해결책으로 본 논문에서 제안한 안장점근사법을 사용하였다. 모의실험을 통해 제안된 근사법이 중심영역은 물론, 통신이론에서 주요 관심 영역인, 극단 꼬리부분의 확률 근사에도 매우 유용한 방법임을 확인하였다.

  • This paper presents a clock regenerator using two $2^{nd}$ order ${\sum}-{\Delta}$ (sigma-delta) modulators for wide range of dividing ratio as defined in HDMI standard. The proposed circuit adopts a fractional-N frequency synthesis architecture for PLL-based clock regeneration. By converting the integer and decimal part of the N and CTS values in HDMI format and processing separately at two different ${\sum}-{\Delta}$ modulators, the proposed circuit covers a very wide range of the dividing ratio as HDMI standard. The circuit is fabricated using 0.18 ${\mu}m$ CMOS and shows 13 mW power consumption with an on-chip loop filter implementation.

  • This paper proposes a sectorization and exclusive subcarrier allocation technique for dirty paper coding (DPC) aided orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) multihop cellular networks. Simulation result shows that the proposed technique significantly increases the achievable sum rate compared to the conventional mobile station selection approach.

  • This paper presents a low-voltage, low-power $\Sigma$Δ modulator for audio applications. It use a simple second-order fully-differential switched-capacitor structure with a sampling frequency of 12.5 MHz and oversampling ratio of 256. It operates from a single 1.5V Bower supply and dissipates 2 ㎽. Extensive simulations using 0.25 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS Process parameters show that it achieves 96㏈ peak SNDR in a 22 KHz bandwidth.

한반도 강수의 일주기 및 반일주기 성분 분석 (Analysis of Diurnal and Semidiurnal Cycles of Precipitation over South Korea)

  • The hourly precipitation data from 1973 to 2007 observed at 60 weather stations over Korea are used to characterize the diurnal and semidiurnal cycles of total precipitation amount, intensity and frequency and examine their spatial patterns and interannual variations. The results show that the diurnal cycle peaks in the morning (03-09LST) and the semidiurnal cycle peaks in the late afternoon (16-20LST). It is found that the spatial variations of the peak phase of diurnal or semidiurnal cycle relative to their corresponding seasonal mean cycle are considerably small (large) for total precipitation amount and intensity (frequency, respectively) in both winter and summer seasons. Also, the diurnal phase variations for individual years relative to the seasonal mean precipitation show the significant interannual variability with dominant periods of 2-5 years for all three elements of precipitation and the slightly decreasing trend in total precipitation amount and intensity. To compare the relative contributions of frequency and intensity to the diurnal and semidiurnal cycles (and their sum) of total precipitation amount, the percentage variance of each cycle of precipitation amount explained by frequency is estimated. The fractional variance accounted for by precipitation intensity is greater than that of frequency for these three cycles. All above analyses suggest that intensity plays a more important role than frequency in the diurnal variations of total precipitation amount.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the degree of influence on the elderly’s life adjustment and decision making in the family. For these research tasks the data were collected through interview. the respondents were 296 of man and woman elderly who lived in JeonJu. It was analyzed by various statistical methods such as Frequency, Percentile, ANOVA, correlate, t-test, Multiple Regression Analysis. The finding of this study are as follows; 1) Decision-making of the elderly in family had significant differences I the area of sex, the sum of monthly personal expenses, satisfaction level of personal expenses, subjective economic level and self-esteem in the order named. 2) Elderly life-adjustment had significant differences in the area of the residential district, the present job, the situation of a apouse, religion, education, the sum of the monthly personal expenses, health, satisfaction level of personal expenses, subjective economics level and self-esteem. 3) When we observe relationship with the elderly decision-making in family and life-adjustment, relation decision-making in family and life-adjustment appeared positively. 4) Decision-making of the elderly in family had the significant differences according to the variables such as sex, the sum of monthly personal expenses, and self-esteem in the order named, and the most influential factor among them was sex. 5) Elderly life-adjustment had the significant differences according to the variables such as self-esteem, decision-making, religion, health, the sum of the monthly personal expenses, the residential district in the order named. The most influential factor was self-esteem and the explanary of those variables for the elderly life-adjustment was 55.1%.
