In previous study, the effect of specimen sizes and shapes on the compressive strength of concrete specimens was experimentally investigated based on fracture mechanics. In this study, the relationship between the cube compressive strength and the cylinder strength for representative specimen sizes was investigated by linear regression analyses. And, by reanalyzing the compressive strength prediction equations with specimen size and shape obtained in previous studies, the compressive strength prediction equations were generalized. In addition, its verification was investigated by comparing with the results obtained from other researchers.

A neutral beam system has been developed to produce hyperthermal neutral beams composed of indium, tin, and oxygen atoms. Using these hyper thermal neutral beams with energies in the range of tens of eV, high quality indium-tin oxide (ITO) thin films have been obtained on glass substrates at room temperature. The optical transmittance of the films is higher than 85% at a wavelength of 550 nm and the electrical resistivity is lower than $1{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}cm$.

This paper describes on a teleoperation system with a simulator on operator's computer. When we control robots over the internet, communication propagation delays exist. These delays are potentially destabilizing the entire system, and degrade the operator's intuition and performance, so we designed teleoperation system with simulator. Instead of feedback image data of work space, remote operator can command by seeing simulator in the his computer. Consequently total working time can be decreased. In this paper, we show a propriety of the teleoperation system with a simulator by comparing with one without a simulator.

The peculiar elliptical (EOp) galaxy NGC 4486 and two KOII comparison stars HR5450, HR6935 were observed spectroscopically using the 74-inch telescope and Image Tube at Mt. Stomlo Observatory. From the Gaussian Broadening Function, broadened spectrum of two comparison stars were computed for the range between wavelength 4800$\AA$ and 5400$\AA$. Velocity dispersions in the line of sight of M87 were obtained by visual fitting. The fitted velocity dispersion is 450 km/sec at the nucleus, 350km/sec at r=12", and 300km/sec at r=24". Using the photometric data and the central value of velocity dispersion, we determined the mass of M87. From <$r^{2/4}$ law and the Virial theorem the calculated total mass in $2.1\times10^{12}M_\odot$ and from the King Model $M=1.2\times10^{12}M_\odot$. And M/L ratio of M87 is about 30.

서비스 로봇은 비전 카메라, 초음파 센서, 레이저 스캐너, 마이크로폰 등과 같은 다양한 센서를 장착하고 있다. 이들 센서들은 이들 각각의 고유한 기능을 가지고 있기도 하지만, 몇몇을 조합하여 사용함으로써 더욱 복잡한 기능을 수행할 수 있다. 음성영상 융합은 서로가 서로를 상호보완 해주는 대표적이면서도 강력한 조합이다. 사람의 경우에 있어서도, 일상생활에 있어 주로 시각과 청각 정보에 의존한다. 본 발표에서는, 음성영상 융합에 관한 두 가지 연구를 소개한다. 하나는 음원 방향 검지 성능의 향상에 관한 것이고, 나머지 하나는 음원 방향 검지와 얼굴 검출을 이용한 로봇 어텐션에 관한 것이다.

Purpose:The purpose of this study was to find the ways to improve a quality of life of cancer patients through the family support by analyzing the correlation between quality of life and family support that cancer patients perceived. Methods: The questionnaires for this study were collected from 43 cancer patients who were admitted in general hospitals at Gyounggido from July 2004 to August 2004. The questionnaire was composed of total 60 items, which were general characteristics of 18 items, family support of 11 items and quality of life of 31 items. Kang's(1984) scale of family support and Tae's(2000) scale of quality of life were used. The data were analyzed with SPSS WIN 10.0 program using frequency, mean±SD, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation analysis. Results: Forty three cancer patients answered the questionnaire. Twenty three patients was a male and 20 a female. Mean scale of family support according to general characteristics was 3.87±0.71. Mean scale of quality of life according to general characteristics was 5.89±1.08 and relatively high. The better degree of education, the higher quality of life significantly and the less physical discomfort, the higher quality of life significantly. The quality of life when the patient burdens the spouse with treatment cost was significantly higher. A correlation between degree of family support and quality of life was r=0.488 and the higher family support that cancer patients perceived, the higher quality of life significantly(p<0.001). Conclusion: The higher family support that cancer patients perceived, the higer quality of life significantly. We suggest concrete and systemic program for family support.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to assess the effect auricular acupuncture for acute mental stress using power spectrum analysis of the heart rate variability(HRV). Methods : 10 healthy volunteers participated in this study. After 5 minute rest, the first mental stress was provided for 5 minute. And then subjects rested for 15 minute. The second mental stress was provided for 5 minute. The acupoint, Shin-Mun point of the ear was stimulated for 15 minute. HRV was recorded before and after the first and second mental stress, and after auricular acupuncture stimulation. Results : After mental stress, normalized LF and LF/HF ratio is significantly increased. Before and after simple rest, normalized LF and normalized HF is significantly changed, but LF and LF/HF ratio is not significantly changed. On the other hand, before and after auricular acupuncture treatment, normalized LF, normalized HF is significantly changed, and also LF and LF/HF ratio is significantly decreased. Conclusion : The result suggest that auricular acupuncture can decrease more significantly in cardiac sympathetic activity due to mental stress than simple rest.

본 논문은 건물 외면의 유리창 청소로봇에 관한 것으로, 더욱 세부적으로는 청소 시스템을 갖춘 로봇을 사람이 닦기 힘들거나 위험한 고층건물이나 아파트 둥의 실외 유리창에 흡착시켜 청소로봇을 이용하여 실외 유리창을 자동으로 닦을 수 있게 하는 건물 외면의 유리창 청소로봇에 관한 것이다. 진공펌프를 사용하여 유리창에 안정적으로 흡착할 수 있도록 하였고, 블루투스를 이용하여 무선 조종이 가능하도록 하여 사용자가 원거리에서 로봇의 청소를 제어할 수 있도록 하였다.

조선 산학의 퇴타술의 역사를 연구한다. 이상혁(李尙爀)$(1810\sim?)$의 익산(翼算)(1868)이 출판되기 전의 역사와 익산(翼算)의 결과로 나누어 연구한다. 경선징(慶善徵)$(1616\sim?)$의 묵사집산법(默思集算法)부터 남병길(南秉吉)$(1820\sim1869)$의 산학정의(算學正義)(1867)까지의 산서를 통하여 익산(翼算) 이전의 퇴타술은 큰 발전을 이루지 못한 것을 조사한다. 이상혁(李尙爀)은 조선(朝鮮) 산학(算學)에서 가장 독창적인 방법을 써서 새로운 결과를 얻어낸다. 그는 퇴타술을 구조적으로 해결하고, 또 새로운 문제인 절적(截積)과 이를 위한 분적법(分積法)을 도입하여 이의 구조도 완전히 밝혀내었다.

"변증기문(辯證奇聞)"은 청대(淸代)(1687년(年)) 진사탁(陳士鐸)이 저술(著述)한 의서(醫書)로서 126문(門)의 형식으로 이루어져 있다. 내용을 보면 한의학적 이법방약(理法方藥)의 논리체계를 제시하였다고 볼 수 있다. 명말청초(明末淸初)이후 중국에서는 실증적(實證的)인 학풍(學風)의 등장에 따라 역사이론(歷史理論)에 대한 비판 및 정리작업이 활발히 이루어지기 시작하였으며, 이 시기에 저작된 "변증기문(辯證奇聞)"은 현재 우리나라 임상가(臨床家)에서 널리 회자(膾炙)되고 있는 비방(秘方)과 관련된 의서(醫書)중의 하나로 이에 대한 내용을 정리함으로서 현대와의 연계를 도모해 볼 수 있었다. 주로 부장변증논치(腑臟辨證論治)에 대한 시각에 입각하였고, "상한론(傷寒論)"을 보완하면서 비판한면도 찾아볼 수 있었다. 약물은 체내(體內)의 진액손상여부(津液損傷與否)를 살펴 사용하였다.
