Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the prognostic factors for arthroscopic subacromial decompression and rotator cuff debridement in impingement syndrome. Materials and Methods : Arthroscopic subacromial decompression with or without rotator cuff debridement was performed in 46 cases of 44 consecutive patients with either stage n or stage ill impingement syndrome. The patients were classified by Neer's stage and size of tear according to the criteria of Cofield. The results were assessed with UCLA rating scale. We used repeated measures ANOVA and Chi-square test to assess correlation between the results and six variables including stage, rotator cuff tear size, age at the operation, duration of symptom, throwing sports activity, and trauma history. The follow-up period averaged 53 months(range, 27 to 92 months). Results: Lower stage by Neer's stage was correlated with higher postoperative scores and with significant difference between preoperative and postoperative scores of UCLA rating scale. However, other factors did not show significant influence upon the results. The patients with complete rotator cuff who showed satisfactory results after procedures were older and had shorter symptom duration, small cuff size. Conclusions : In patients with impingement syndrome treated by arthroscopic debridement and subacromial decompression, superior results were obtained when belonged to a lower Neer stage and when the rotator cuff was only partially tom. In cases with complete rotator cuff tear, higher success rates were obtained with smaller tear sizes. Age at operation, duration of symptoms, throwing athlete, traumatic tear did not affect the results.
Public health system and public health practice have changed over the past decades as the result of social and epidemiologic changes. New public health concept emphasizes leadership, strategical thinking, systematic planning and effective performance to identify and solve complex health problem In Korea, the role of Health Center has been expanded rapidly. However there is strong suspicion that Health Center can achieve their mission. This paper aims at understanding what is the needed functions of Health Center and which of its aspects needs improvement. The main results of this study are summarizes as follows. District Health Law does not address the core functions of Health Center. The staffs of Health Center have difficulties in prioritizing their services. The recent attempt to restructure Health Center and change delivery pattern of public health services ended with only limited success. To effectively confront threats to the public's health, the three major function of Health Center must be ${\circled}1$ modifying individual behavior and lifestyle, ${\circled}2$ improving social and economic conditions, and ${\circled}3$ reforming health policies. Better results do not come from setting new functions only; they come from understanding and improving the processes that will then leads to better outcome. We recommend that policy-makers focus economic evaluation of public health programs, building and spreading of the scientific evidence of programs, linkage of public health research and public health program. The criteria of delegation of public health service to private sector is urgently needed. Making community health information data available on a routine basis to providers, managers and researchers of public health services helps promote the efficiency of the overall operation of public health system.

The performance of projects has always been an area of interest in the construction industry. Roles of all construction supply chain partners are necessary; however the role of a contractor firm in the construction project is pivotal. So, this research intended to explore a Construction Firm's performance criteria which could measure the level of performance of that firm in an ongoing project. Data was collected from construction professionals working in three principal project participant organizations, namely Owner, Consultant and Contractor. A total of 113 nos. of performance measuring items were sorted from literature review and used to collect data. Statistical tools processed by SPSS program was employed to analyze the data. Out of total 113 items, only 65 nos. of variables were found to be acceptable to every population group of this study. Factor analysis revealed 12 key performance predicting factors (KPPF) with 53 predictive indicators. 12 KPPFS with index weight are: work progress and smoothening (9.3%), change order management and work accuracy (9.1%), business relationship building (8.1%), adequacy of construction work procedure (8.6%), quality performance (8.0%), health and site safety adequacy (8.8%), Innovative contractor (8.0%), adequacy of construction site information (6.8%), compliance with contract plan/specification requirements (8.9%), creditworthiness and financial capability (8.3%), intra-agency relationship and responsiveness (7.0%) and resource management (9.2%). These results could be useful to project management body to evaluate performance of its contractor firm on site as well as the contractor itself to assess own performance and its subcontractors on-site.

The development project usually aims to get a certain amount of return for its investment in land and capital. The success of such project is dependent on the accurate analysis of the feasibility and for casting. It is, however, very difficult to predict due to various environmental factors. For this, it is necessary to constitute a systematic and objective method of analysis. However, there is no method of analysis for numerous qualitative factors, such as legal, environmental, marketability. Moreover, conventional methods have some limitations because they are processed without all the scope of analysis items and any evaluation criteria. Therefore, this study will provide computerization model for feasibility study focusing on the apartment development project by a pre-sall method. This research does casestudies to assess the feasibility analysis by the computerization model and compares to the results of the conventional methods. It showed that the evaluation results for the qualitative analysis were proportional to actual sale result. This implies that qualitative subjective factors have high correlation with sale rate and sale prices.
With the increased frequency of crime such as assaults and sexual violence, the reliance on CCTV in arresting criminals has increased as well. However, CCTV, which should be monitored by human labor force at all times, has limits in terms of budget and man-power. Thereby, the interest in intelligent security system is growing nowadays. Expanding the techniques of an objects behavior recognition in previous studies, we propose a system to detect forms of violence between 2~3 objects from images obtained in CCTV. It perceives by detecting the object with the difference operation and the morphology of the background image. The determinant criteria to define violent behaviors are suggested. Moreover, provable decision metric values through measurements of the number of violent condition are derived. As a result of the experiments with the threshold values, showed more than 80% recognition success rate. A future research for abnormal behaviors recognition system in a crowded circumstance remains to be developed.

Due to the rapid change of global business environment, the growth of China's steel industry and the inflow of cheap products, domestic steel industry is faced on downward trend. The change of business paradigms from a quantitative growth to a qualitative product is needed in this steel industry. In this environment, it is very important for domestic steel distribution companies to secure their competitiveness by selecting good supply companies through a efficient procurement strategy and effective method. This study tried to find out the success factors of steel distribution industry based on survey research from experts. Weighted values of each factors were found by using AHP (analytic hierarchy process) analysis. The weighted values were applied to DEA(data envelopment analysis) model and eventually the best steel supply company were selected. This paper used 29 domestic steel distribution firms for case example and 5 steps of decision process to select good vendors were suggested. This study used quality, price, delivery and finance as a selection criteria. Using this four criterions, nine variable were suggested. Which were product diversity, base price, discount, payment position, average delivery date, urgency order responsibility and financial condition. These variables were used as a output variable of DEA. Sales and facilities were used as an input variable. Pairwise comparison was conducted using these variables. The weighted value calculated by AHP pairwise comparison were used for DEA analysis. Through the analysis of DEA efficiency process, good DMU (decision making unit) were recommended as a steel supply company. The domestic case example was used to show the effectiveness of this study.

Objectives: Dry socket may occur secondary to the removal of any tooth. However, most dry socket cases develop in the third molar region. Dry socket is multifactorial in nature and has been treated using various modalities with varying success rates. This study assessed the efficacy of platelet rich fibrin (PRF) in established dry socket. Materials and Methods: Ten patients of either sex aged from 41 to 64 years with established dry socket according to established criteria were treated using PRF. Evaluation was performed by observing the reduction of pain using visual analogue scale, analgesic tablet use over the follow-up period, and healing parameters. Results: Pain was reduced on the first day in all patients with decreased analgesic use. Pain was drastically reduced during follow-up on the first, second, third, and seventh days with a fall in pain score of 0 to 1 after the first day alone. The pain scores of all patients decreased to 1 by the first day except in one patient, and the scores decreased to 0 in all patients after 48 hours. Total analgesic intake ranged from 2 to 6 tablets (aceclofenac 100 mg per tablet) over the follow-up period of 7 days. Healing was satisfactory in all patients by the end of the seventh day. Conclusion: PRF showed early pain reduction in established dry socket with minimal analgesic intake. No patients had allergic reactions to PRF as it is derived from the patient's own blood. PRF showed good wound healing. Our study suggests that PRF should be considered as a treatment modality for established dry socket.
Periodontal disease accompany the inflammation around periodontal tissue and generally periodontal destruction is followed, This destruction often makes the molar teeth have furcation defect. And to treat molar furcation involvement, resective surgery such as root resection and ostectomy and regenerative procedure such as guided tissue regeneration were introduced. Also implant can be considered as one of the good treatment methods, Among these treatment alternatives, root resection can be considered as a good procedure in the point of saving one's natural teeth or amount of cost. Therefore the purpose of this article is to evaluate root-resected teeth which were done at least 2 years ago. 70 root-resected teeth in 58 patient who visited Kyungpook National University Hospital were included in this study. They were evaluated by two clinical method. One is subjective evaluation and another is objective evaluation. To evaluate subjective outcome, 58 patients answered to the questionnaire if they experienced tooth extraction, bleeding, swelling, pain, mobility and chewing problem. To evaluate objective outcome, 28 teeth was evaluated according to Langer's criteria. The subjective result showed 82% of success rate and 18% of failure rate. 13 of 70 teeth showed discomfort and were considered as failure, which include chewing problem (39%) and pain (23%). The objective outcome showed that 4 failure (14% failure rate) which were 2 cases of bone loss by periodontal problem, one endodontic problem and one untreatable caries. By these limited results, some of clinical consideration in root resective procedure can be suggested. Periodontal support and less occlusal loading on resected tooth should be evaluated before the procedure, moreover, good oral hygiene is essential. When these factors are considered carefully, the root resection may produce predictive outcomes in the treatment of furcational involvement.
The successful replacement of missing teeth has been one driving aim behind the emergence of implant dentistry as both a technology and clinical vocation for over four decades. To date, a multitude of dental implant devices had been designed and utilized in the patient population. Most of these devices have been designed without support of the engineering criteria. The long-term success of any dental implant is dependent upon the optimization of stresses which occurs during oral function and parafunction. Although many studies have examined the biologic interactions between dental implants and living tissue, few studies have been reported on the biomechanical aspects of dental implants. The purpose of this study was to analyze the stress distribution of osseointegrated prosthesis on certain conditions, such as amount of load, location of load, length of fixtures, number of fixtures used, arch shape, bone quality, etc. Three dimentional finite element analysis was used for this study. FEM models were created using commercial software(Super SAP. for IBM 16 bit AT computer. All elements were 8-node brick, isoparametric. Mandible and prosthesis was modeled with 780 elements and 1074 nodes. The results were as follows : 1. In case of cantilever extension, there was a compressive stress at the base of the first implant and a tensile stress at the base of the second implant. 2. The stresses were linearly proportional to the amount of load. 3. The stresses were linearly proportional to the length of cantilever. 4. There was a stress concentration at the neck of the implant and bone under horizontal loads.
To analyze the effects of R&D expenditure on the firm value of Korean firms, we classified portfolios based on R&D activity levels. After that, we conducted a time-series analysis to assess excess returns from the portfolios. To carry out such an analysis, an empirical analysis of excess returns in the capital market was performed by using the monthly earning rate of stocks from 2000 to 2013. The purpose of this research is to provide basic data on investment to stakeholders in the capital market by analyzing the effects of R&D on the firm value and to overcome scholarly limitations by offering a new model of analysis. The criteria for classifying the portfolios were based on R&D expenditure levels. The analysis models follow the Fama-French Three-Factor Model and the Carhart Four-Factor Model. The analyses results are as follows. Extrapolating monthly profit rates based on R&D expenditure levels, portfolios with low R&D expenditures showed higher earning rates than those with high R&D expenditures. This suggests that high R&D expenditures did not translate into high earning rates. The investor depreciates the R&D expenditures related profitability and the possibility of success in the market, leading to falls in stock prices and a failure to give a positive effect on the firm value. Our research differs from the previous investigations as we carried out an empirical analysis based on the actual investors' attitudes about R&D expenditures and how these can generate excess earnings. Our research results show that the data related to R&D expenditure are not reflected fully in the market.
