  • The present study examined the factors influencing individuals' risk information seeking and processing using the case of 2015 MERS outbreak in Korea. Analyses of two-wave online panel data demonstrated that perceived risk, negative affect, subjective norm, and information insufficiency predicted the risk information seeking/avoiding as well as information processing mode, which validates the Risk Information Seeking and Processing(RISP) model. More importantly, this study found new evidence that information seeking and systematic processing promoted MERS preventive behaviors. In addition, active SNS use moderated the link between perceived risk and negative affects about MERS crisis as well as the relationship between social normative pressure and to seek the risk related information.

  • Image distortions are typically characterized by degradations of structures. Dictionaries learned from natural images can capture the underlying structures in images, which are important for image quality assessment (IQA). This paper presents a general-purpose no-reference image quality metric using a GRadient-Induced Dictionary (GRID). A dictionary is first constructed based on gradients of natural images using K-means clustering. Then image features are extracted using the dictionary based on Euclidean-norm coding and max-pooling. A distortion classification model and several distortion-specific quality regression models are trained using the support vector machine (SVM) by combining image features with distortion types and subjective scores, respectively. To evaluate the quality of a test image, the distortion classification model is used to determine the probabilities that the image belongs to different kinds of distortions, while the regression models are used to predict the corresponding distortion-specific quality scores. Finally, an overall quality score is computed as the probability-weighted distortion-specific quality scores. The proposed metric can evaluate image quality accurately and efficiently using a small dictionary. The performance of the proposed method is verified on public image quality databases. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed metric can generate quality scores highly consistent with human perception, and it outperforms the state-of-the-arts.

  • We aimed at identifying the determinants of favorable UCC usage and creation by integrating emotional dimension, social influence and motivations. The finding show the significant effect of pleasure on intrinsic motivation in both Korea and U.S.A. Arousal has a positive effect on intrinsic motivation in the United States, but it has no relationship wit h intrinsic motivation in Korea. In case of social influence, subjective norm gives a significant impact on extrinsic motivation whereas proved insignificant in the United States. Image is shown to be significantly related with extrinsic motivation in both nations. Also, intrinsic motivation does not posit an effect on UCC usage and creation in Korea whereas it influences on UCC usage and is not related with UCC creation in the United States. In addition, it was observed that UCC usage has a positive and significant impact on UCC creation in both nations.

  • The foods served in festivals only affect attractiveness on visitors in itself. Because residents, tourists and vendor flow into the site in opening periods. In this case, there are always the possibility to happen to accident in site unprecedently. Therefore, The purpose of the study is to examine how visitors perceive the foods vendors served in festivals and how the factors influence among the casual relationship to applying the planned behavior theory. The Results is following up. Behavior Intention is affected the variables of belief, subjective norm and perceived behavior control. Final varialbe Food buying is affected the variable of behavior intention positive, but perceived behavior contro is not significant(p<0.05). Festivals make for the depar from the life, the attractiveness of the food happen to buy it stronger than the control ability of visitors. The health control for the food is needed systemically on the focus of the risk management

  • In this study, the selection attributes of contemporary dance audience were constructed based on prior study and the selection attributes of contemporary dance performance were identified through EFA(Exploratory Factor Analysis). Therefore, Six attributes were derived: physical evidence, tickets, people, information, product, and reputation. Based on these attributes, the selected attributes were identified through 'ETPB(Extended Theory of Planned Behavior)' to see if they affect ticket purchase behavior. In result, Among the selection attributes of contemporary dance performances, three attributes of reputation, people and product influenced the audience's attitude, while only product and human attributes influenced the purchase intention of tickets. Among the variables of ETPB to enhance the ability to purchase intention of tickets, audience attitude, perceive behavior control, and prior knowledge have had a positive effect on purchase intention of tickets, except for subjective norm. Therefore, it is meaningful that this study presented and verified empirically the attributes of select centered on visitors, which can improve the intention of purchasing tickets for contemporary dance performances.
