In Korea almost all subjects in school teach environmental education. In such situation it is difficult that the environmental subject as a regular stand-alone subject for environmental education establishes its own individuality. In many cases it and the other subjects teach identical contents with the nearly same methods. Such redundancy could make students lose their interest in the topics that were already taught by other subject. And the environmental subject and the other subjects might compete with one another rather than cooperate. To avoid such negative effects we need to partition their roles. For example, the other subjects focus on teaching their own knowledge and skills related to environmental problems. And the environmental subject focuses on encouraging students to possess environmental attitude and to participate in environmental activities. Above all, the environmental subject needs to teach the social nature of environmental problems and the social process through which we make a decision on the problems. It should let students experience highly integrated process of environmental decision. In order to establish the individuality of the environmental subject I discussed its goals and contents. I hope that the related persons in all the subjects start to deeply discuss the partitioning of roles, with open mind, in order to effectively achieve the goal of environmental education in school.
In this study, we analyzed what STEAM-related subject contents, except mathematical knowledge, are contained in 2009 revised elementary first grade mathematics textbooks. STEAM-related subject contents in the textbooks were examined by unit and by strand of the content in the elementary school mathematics curriculum. According to the results, the number and the type of STEAM-related subject contents are different depending on the unit and the strand of the mathematics content. Generally speaking, in each unit and in each strand of mathematics, storytelling liberal arts-related contents are seen the most, followed by non-storytelling liberal arts-related contents and physical education contents in order, while the number of musical contents was very small. So we need to develop different STEAM materials in order to activate STEAM education in our elementary math classrooms.

This research is that concern in mathematics education of Technical high school Department of Electricity in the 7th educational curriculum. we indicated problem compare 7th with 6th mathematics curriculum subject contents in Technical high school Department of Electricity. And examine major subject contents, analyzed contents of mathematics that must supplement and mathematics which use in major subject. Established contents of electricity mathematics education that need to major learning to satisfy target of technical high school technical education that is presented in the 7th training courses with this analysis. Also, we hope these results are into consideration when writing new mathematics text in Technical high school Department of Electricity.
This study investigated how the contents of biology domains that were dealt with in the 7th national elementary-school science curriculum were in turn dealt with in the other subject matter areas. Through this, it was hoped that the place and identity of biology as a subject could be more clearly established and defined and additionally, more basic data for developing the new national science curriculum could be acquired at the same time. Subject matter areas that overlapped with biology in the 7th national elementary-school curriculum were practical arts, social studies and physical education. The structure and composition of specific components that were dealt with by these subject matter areas were very different from those of science, and the analysis showed that they failed to correspond across grades. Moreover, topics such as 'natural calamities and the environment' and 'human reproduction' that were dealt with by other subject matter areas, but not in science must be included for developing the new national science curriculum. Accordingly, when it comes to composing the contents of each subject matter area during creation of the new national curriculum, the relevant experts in related subject matter areas should be mobilized to conduct in-depth analysis of the following areas: viability, the most appropriate level of difficulty, and appropriateness of any hierarchy of relative importance between subjects. Additionally, efforts to reflect any improvements in the way the new national curriculum is developed which come about through this research are needed.

The purposes of this study are:(1) to analyze the learning content & subjects on the area of clothing and textiles in Home Economics for Young Men: A Teaching Guide, (2) to compare it with the learning content & subjects on the area of clothing and textiles in Home Economics teaching guides in the middle school in Korea, (3) to provide preliminary data for developing the learning content & learning method on clothing and textiles education for middle school students. To implement these proposals, Home Economics for young Men: A Teaching Guide in U.S.A and 6 Home Economics teaching guides for the middle school in Korea are reviewed and analyzed. The research findings were as follows: 1. Home Economics for Young Men is characterized as including: (1) interesting learning contents for girls and boys in the middle school, (2) learning contents for helping students to work on their own initiative (3) learning contents related to actual life, (4) practical consumer education content related to clothing and textiles area, (5) learning contents for developing originality, (6) learning contents related to vocational education. 2. The subjects in Home Economics for Young Men give careful considerations especially on how to learn. They are based on the idea that middle school students have to learn and to solve the subject by themselves. 3. Learning contents on Home Economics teaching guides for middle school in Korea are different from learning contents in Home Economics for Young Men in the subject & the form of description, the subject matter of practice in clothing area, the standpoint of description on clothing matters. The subjects in Home Economics teaching guides for middle school in Korea don’s give careful consideration on how to learn. There are little idea that middle school students have to learn and to solve the subject by themselves.
This study is about that how accessibility or norm influence to use diversity or usage of internet contents. Two hypotheses tested by statistic analysis. The major finding of this study are as follows. First, the greater the physical accessibility or intellectual accessibility, the greater the use diversity of internet contents. Second, the greater the physical accessibility or intellectual accessibility, the greater the usage of internet contents. Third, the greater the subject norm, the smaller the usage of internet contents. This study provides some implications that subject norm can influence to reduce usage of internet contents. The limitations, and future direction are discussed.
Mathematics has been usually recognized as value-neutral and anti-ideological subject, and as a result, it has not dealt with environmental problems clearly. Also, it is not easy to find any environment-related contents in the 7th mathematics curriculum. However, because mathematics is also precious human products and essence, in any ways there is a need to reflect the social issues in the mathematics subject which speak for human mental activities. If this need is admitted to change the mathematics contents to the direction of social issues, environmental problems can stand out and be dealt in the mathematics education. Among the 6 domains in the 7th mathematics curriculum, the environmental problems can be dealt with in the domains of ‘numbers and operation’, ‘letters and formulas’, ‘regularity and function’, ‘chances and statistics’, ‘measurement’ except in the domain of ‘diagrams’. Also, the '문장제들' which takes up a considerable part of mathematics textbooks needs the authentic situation, and thus it will be possible to take environmental situations as mathematical materials. Furthermore, one of the 7th mathematics curriculum is that it suggested further study in each level of each domain, the representative pattern of which is the application of the mathemantics contents to the daily life. With this kind of mathematics further study contents, environmental problems can provide a variety of contents for the further study. From this viewpoint, it can be expected that the contents of environmental education will be increased in the mathematics subject. Under the recognition that the mathematics subject cannot be an exception in considering environmental problems, this study has studied some concrete plans and examples for how the mathematics textbooks based on the 7th educational curriculum can deal with environmental Problems.
This attempts to find out training system of environment education teacher in Korea. The results are summarized as follows. The primary and secondary school have focused on environment education and the environment course was designated as a subject, but only 12% of the 2741 middle school chose the environment subject in 1998. The environment education course is not popular among students. The environment education is an interdisciplinary subject, which is composed of natural science, social studies, earth science, and medical science, that is why the subject is so unsystematic and complicated that appropriate teaching methods and contents for school classes are not able to be developed. Moreover, material and manuals in environment education for students and teachers are limited. While the contents of environment education is composed of field experience learning and experiment learning, but lecture-centered instruction is emphasized in school because of materials, time and experts. Over 300 environmental education teachers are annually produced, but the ratio of employment low. is, Therefore, a retraining program for environment education teacher needs to be developed.

The Purpose of this paper is to suggest directions for the future education of Library management. For this purpose, some theoretical backgrounds are traced based on the historical events, the standards provided by international and national organizations, and theories suggested through researches. And the percentages of library management subjects in the curricula of ten Library and Information Science Departments are calculated divided by compulsory and elective ones, along with the contents analyses of a few textbooks in the field. The hypotheses to be tested are as follows: 1. The American postgraduate library education was introduced into Korea as an undergraduate course. So the importance of the subject of library management was recognized as in America, and the numbers of subject Would have been increased, and the contents detailed. 2. The contents of the subject taught would not have changed much since its introduction. It means that they will be almost the same as those were prevalent in the United States of America in the 1950s, when the American education was brought into Korea. The hypotheses can be accepted as being true. Based on the conclusions, some suggestions, including the teaching of the subject should be directed more towards management aspects rather than administrative ones, are provided.
