This study tried to examine the effect of reading replies on the changes of attitudes towards the subject of online news articles. For that purpose, an experiment was conducted in which participants were asked to read an article and the replies attached. Attitudes were measured before and after reading replies. Another interest of this research was to examine factors affecting the attitude change after reading replies. It was found that while credibility of replies and efficacy belief of the news subject had negative impacts on the attitudes, individuals' information seeking characteristics gave positive impacts on the attitudes after reading replies. This study concludes with discussion and implications of the findings.

Recently, the subject of reliability attracts a great deal of domestic and international attentions and the extensive research activities are being conducted as well. Such trend exists mainly due to the fact that the research on the subject of reliability not only contributes to the theoretical developments, but also may find a wide range of applications in practice over several fields. In particular, the research regarding the maintenance policy incorporating certain types of warranty for repairable system and its application is being performed extensively by many researchers, and their efforts seem more concentrated on developing new maintenance policies which minimize the expected operating cost incurred for replacement and repair of the system, while keeping the system at high reliability. Effective maintenance policy may reduce the operating cost and decrease the downtime of the system during its mission period and consequently, increase the productivity of the system. In this article, the major areas of interest in the field of reliability and its historic perspectives are given briefly and the theoretical aspects in several fields of reliability including the maintenance and warranty policies is also discussed. Furthermore, the current domestic situation regarding the education and research on reliability is presented, along with the importance of reliability theory and the difficulty of training reliability personnel. Finally, the author's opinion for effective education system is proposed.

The purport of this paper is to deduce political implication and significance of the proposed redress scheme of 'Consumer Collective Lawsuit (hereinunder "CCL")' under way to be introduced by the Korean government via various assessments per each phase of policy implementation process. To this end, the paper classifies the subject policy (referring to CCL) implementation process into 4 phases: policy origination, policy enactment, policy advertisement, and policy execution. Based on the said classification, assessments per each phase together with pros and cons analysis have been conducted. Through the aforementioned analysis, the paper concludes the following political implication and significance of CCL under way of introduction: - 1. In the case of policy origination led by external parties, a social consensus by and from involved parties with various interests is the most critical; 2. Prior feasibility and/or suitability study is also crucial in the policy implementation procedure; 3. To mitigate inter-ministerial conflicts that might arise from the due policy making procedure, democratization of conflict settlement mechanism, and institutionalization of participation in and disclosure of policy making process are cal led upon; and 4. Prior planning wi th respect to the public relation and advertisements of the subject policy on the table poses substantial significance.

The purpose of this study was to examine elementary teachers' perception on birds and problems on teaching it. For this study, the science textbooks from 3rd grade to 6th grade according to the 7th national curriculum were analyzed. Results revealed that, firstly, there were 34 bird species recorded and these were described 55 times in the surveyed textbooks. Secondly, the survey showed that $20\%$ of the teachers were interested in birds despite the fact that $98\%$ of them had no special knowledge about birds nor had studied them in college. Additionally, it was revealed that $41\%$ of the teachers felt lacking in specialist knowledge about birds and this lead to difficulties in teaching on this subject. Thirdly, academic backgrounds had an affect teachers' perceptions on teaching this area. The teachers' levels of interest in birds and the teachers' ratio of teaching on this topic tended to increase as their academic careers developed, and the proportion of male teachers in this category were higher than female teachers. To overcome difficulty in teaching on this area, it is suggested that a reconstitution of subject materials, as well as a revision of the teachers' guidebooks be undertaken.

This study aims to apply World Wide Web(WWW) image files to visual material in lectures. Especially handles "Aesthetics of Landscape Architecture." Visual Materials of 800 web sites were searched and analyzed. It is found that web search needs a subject oriented web guide. It says now a need of application web material to lectures. Matching the web images with the subjects of lecture, above all, is the main approach of this study. Thus, a list up method is supposed, series of web image data to be inclusive in two tables. The data distribute on sub-subject, and applicant as materials in picturing objects of slide show, web guide, and single image. Two cases of lecture subjects were chosen in this study. A case that needs various visual materials and other case of advanced materials that needs a special web guide. Chance of results of this study is not yet fully clear in real lecture. It is sure, as an article of cyber lecture that provided result of increasingly participant's interest. By this study, it will be possible a fully made lecture material by further study.her study.

The purpose of this study is to develop and make applications of the teaching materials that are based on the ARCS motivation model for experiments in chemistry. In order to achieve this goal, we researched on the needs of professors, learners, and teacher-assistants and analyzed the contents of the subject. Then we designed and developed teaching materials utilizing the ARCS theory, and made the applications and analyzed their effects. As a result, we found out that the applications of the newly developed teaching materials positively affected the understanding, interest, and concentration of the experiments, and helped the students comprehend various theories better through experiments. The new teaching materials shortened the duration of experiments and reduced the margin of error. They were also helpful preventing accidents and gave students clear ideas about experiments.

The purpose of this study is to analyze elementary and secondary school teachers' recognition about engineering education in elementary and secondary school. For this, we surveyed elementary and secondary school teachers. The result of this study is as follow. First, most teachers perceived that engineering positively affect national competitiveness and development. They also found that engineering education helps student to select natural science and engineering field career. Moreover, they perceived that engineering contents are not applied in elementary and secondary schools curriculums, hence it does not stimulate interest in engineering. Therefore, they perceived that if engineering education contents are systematically applied in formal curriculum, it will have a positive effect on current engineering education. Second, most teachers perceived that roles of engineering education are to make students learn creative design and problem solving process and inform about the engineering field career. They perceived that the best grade to start engineering education is 4~6 grade in elementary school and the best way to apply engineering education is through distributing engineering education contents to related subjects. They also perceived that technology subject has the most relation to engineering education and science subjects; mathematics subject follow after.

Interest in creativity and fusion in education has led to a lot of research on integrated education. Most of those research were related to integrated education model and educational contents development, so there were insufficient research on planning a course for integrated education. In this study, we developed an integrated education framework as an guidance for teachers on how to plan a course for integrated education. With this, we analyzed successful cases of integrated education. In the result of analysis, we figured out the relations and characteristics between three course types of subjects and four participation types of teachers. On the findings, we suggested an integrated education framework composed of four stages focused on course plan and proposed some considerations for each stage.

Depending on the sense of increasing interest in the worldwide software education, in the country high and high school education software from junior high school from 2018 fiscal year I was supposed to be carried out in the required courses. As a result, even in education, for students of software education, although some studies have been conducted, in this paper, by comparative analysis of the domestic and international trends in the software of the training, we advance the future, We suggest the direction of software education should. In addition, faculty members for software education through cooperation with existing middle and high school information subject-to try to present how the draft how available through the lesson plan.

The environment subject has been introduced to the national curriculum in 1992 in order to overcome serious environmental problems. As using environmental issues in a class, the environment teachers inevitably face some conflicts associated with their role. By applying the questionnaire survey to 192 environment teachers, this study was conducted to understand their attitude and awareness of teacher role in the issue-based classes. The results showed that the majority(92.2%) of the participants had willingness to share their opinion on the issues under consideration with their students. This result implied that environment teachers maintain a position considerably different from the position (value-free and fair) that has been favored and suggested by previous research. This discrepancy may has been related to the unique history and identity of the environment subject in Korea. Despite their high level of willingness, the environment teachers also seemed to experience several barriers to managing issue-based classes effective such as time management, low students interest, and limited teaching materials. To make environmental issue-based classes interesting and meaningful, additional efforts are need to develop issue-based teaching modules and provide both teachers and teacher students with opportunities for learning those modules and teaching strategies.
