Business relationships can be divided in vertical and horizontal relationships. Vertical relations, such as the relation to suppliers and contractors, are of great importance and often determine a firms success. In general, many scholars produced numerous models of business relationships covering with a wide array of variables. However, models with a focus on vertical relationship did not receive much attention. This paper deals with problems related to vertical relationships and a the business model paying special attention to vertical relationships is developed. Vertical relationships span over a wide range of industries, including industrial electronics and automotive firms. In Chapter 2, the theoretical approach needed to develop a process model to examine the vertical relationships is developed. Chapter 3 features core findings about business relationships. Chapter 4 deals with vertical relationships as developed between the core business process model. Finally, Chapter 5 of the study covers limitations and future research directions.

Construction subcontracted services are conducted without clear systems, but to establish a sound trading order between the contractors and subcontractors, the government recently complemented a relevant system to legalize and systematically manage subcontracted services. This study prepared a system for managing the subcontracted construction service result after providing the optimal alternative plan through a related persons' interview, such as the ordering agency and the service company. Towards this end, the management system is provided to integrate subcontracted services and contracted services based on the system managing Construction Technology Service Result. The study findings can be shortened by more than 90% of the performance certification issuing work, and used to formulate measures to protect subcontractors, such as the prevention of low-priced subcontracts, by managing an objective and reliable subcontracted service result.

The purpose of this research therefore, was to conduct research on the actual state of manufacturers of cycle wears and the condition in wearing; to present the basic data to develop cycle wears which can lessen the trouble for the human body and an excellent feeling in wearing. For research on the actual state of manufacturers of cycle wears, three domestic companies were grasped. To inquire the condition in wearing, the method of questionnaire was used for 100 peoples consisted of male cycling professional players and ordinary peoples with the same tastes. As the result of research: The manufacturers were targeting for the professional players and men with the same tastes. They produced goods by themselves as well as in the form of subcontract, and they did not classify goods for male & female. Materials they used for cycle wears were mainly composed of jersey with spandex and nylon. The production ratio of cycle wears is shown as 80% for company A, 25% for company B, and 90% for company C. They make a pattern of cycle wears by a technical tie-up with foreign companies, or by the development of their own pattern. As the result of study on the present condition in wearing cycle wears according to each season, it was figured out that the users usually weard short-sleeved T-shirts with dividing zipper for summer upper garment, shorts most preferably for summer lower garment; long-sleeved shirts for spring and fall upper garment, and shorts with incision most preferably for spring and fall lower garment. Also, they usually weard jumpers with incision for winter upper garment, and long pants in which ankle parts of incision were tightened most preferably for winter lower garment.

There are two methods to resolve conflicts related to constructions which are through lawsuits and ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) just like any other conflicts. Along with the special characteristics pertaining to the conflicts related to constructions, the advantages that ADR is in possession of such as its cost, duration and professionalism, resolving conflicts through ADR has been considered to be more logical than any other options recently. In Korea's case at present, the resolution of conflicts regarding constructions through ADR is mostly dependent on administrative mediation or through arbitration. However, in the case of the administrative mediation, its usage rate is very low due to problems caused by problems in its running and effectiveness. In the case of arbitration, the services of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board is comparatively used more but because of the fact that arbitration relies on a single trial system and the fact that its executive powers while having the same effectiveness as the final ruling does not get acknowledged leads to the phenomena of avoiding its usage. In addition, in relation to the selective arbitration clause, the problem of effectiveness of the arbitrative agreement is becoming a hindrance to the activation and promotion of the arbitration process. Furthermore, in the case where the ordering body is the government, the public servant involved in the case avoiding the arbitration process because of concerns of being penalized by the internal and external audit within the institution is becoming a problem as well. These problems are not only limited to conflicts regarding constructions and there needs to be actions taken to promote the activation of ADR by enacting a basic law. The more important issue at hand however is offering a resolution measure that would be the most appropriate for users and this could probably be done only through actions such as implementing the American partnering system or the dispute adjudication board system so that they can supervise the resolution of conflicts through mediation, arbitration, and assistance as well as offering consultations regarding conflicts related to constructions.

Supply chain solutions based on EC links will eventually become standard, leaving some companies behind. fresh opportunities and reduced entry barriers to new competitors via e-commerce pose a major threat to the present logistics industry. supply chain systems developers and industry consultants that subcontract physical transport of goods to contractors may encroach on traditional logistics industry business. In this paper I tried to explain various aspects of the physical distribution service through international courier service in an e-commerce world and survey the logistics strategy of international courier service companies against development of electronic commerce based on our companies, logistics strategy.

This study explores the retail environment factors of the changes mentioned in the "Factors and Directions of the Change of the Apparel Retail Structure in Korea" (Part I) to understand the changes in apparel retail institutions. This study was done through a literature research method and the results are as follows. First, changing consumer needs and trends require extensive new products, a method to manufacture diverse products according to the market demand, and the necessity to manufacture based on trends in demand. This limits the role of mass production, which brought about more flexible manufacturing modes, scaled down manufacturing factories, promoted more cooperative subcontract relationships, and increased global sourcing which uses other companies at the most appropriate global venue. How to organize and use cooperative networks that benefit companies is the key to global competitiveness in the new era and the information technology developed around retail shops plays a key role. Consequently, the management of consumers and their information becomes critical and retail distribution functions become a key corporate function. In addition, it is difficult for small shops to introduce effective new technologies that encourage the growth of large companies. Second, apparel companies that use to benefit from scale merits based on the previous mass production system are now becoming effective by using economies of scale through mass retailing while shops are enlarging their sizes as a way to survive. On the other hand, inexpensive clothes become even more inexpensive while expensive ones become even more expensive, promoting polarization and diverse price ranges that widen consumer options.

Domestic software market is struggling with product's low quality and low return-on-investment. The cause for the problems is due to unclear requirements at the early stage of software project. Studies show that, to lessen the problem, the requirements specification must reflect the right project scope and quantifiable quality goal. To achieve such features, this paper describes a standard guideline for SRS (Software Requirements Specification), which helps in defining the scope of project, measuring and quantifying quality, linking and tracing of requirements, and improving usability. The proposed SRS enables separating the requirements analysis activity from implementation activity and thus can improve subcontract management process in software project.

The purpose of this study is to examine the degree of openness and competition in special contractor's market. And the result of this study will present the basis of rational policy making. The literature research and time series analysis are adopted as research method. And the findings of this study are as followed. The study has shown that the degree of openness is high in korean special contractor's market by gradual deregulation of entrance barriers into special contractor's market. And the study has revealed that the degree of competition in special contractor's market is high, revealing that the rate of increase of contract account and the subcontract bid rate have decreased.

This paper analyzes the technical efficiencies of 38 Korean engineering and construction firms and the efficiency changes from 1999 to 2003 using data envelopment analysis (DEA). Best practice firms in terms of technical efficiency and profit are identified. For inefficient firms, performance targets to be efficient are suggested. Technical efficiencies had been increased over the five year period, and the efficiency difference between firms had been reduced during this period. The differences in efficiency due to the differences in cooperate governance structures are statistically significant. In addition, the technical efficiency is correlated with product portfolios, degree of subcontract, rates of value added, returns on invested capital, and EBITDA.

The construction environment has the trend of oversizing and professionalizing, the increase of the construction period, and the risk factors and the uncertain factors which are important in the construction bid. The misunderstanding and the lack of knowledge of the subcontractor result in the decrease of the profit or the deficit. In conclusion, these are supposed to give the financial burden to the subcontractor. So, it is very important to predict the construction preparation cost calculation by the risk factors in the bidding stage and to calculate the bid unit cost considering the target profit of the subcontractor in the process of the mutual agreement and performance of the contract. In these points of view, this study analyzes how the importance of the risks influencing the bidding cost calculation affect the construction cost, and this analysis can be used as the basic data to establish the suitable bid strategy of the subcontractor.
