Flapping Airfoil의 2차원 운동궤적에 따른 공력특성연구 (A Numerical Study on Aerodynamic Characteristics for Cyclic Motion Profile of Flapping Airfoil)

  • 본 연구에서는 저 레이놀즈수 유동에서 flapping운동을 하는 익형이 가질 수 있는 2차원 평면상의 운동궤적에 따른 공력특성을 연구하였다. 익형이 유동흐름방향으로 왕복 운동하는 lead-lag운동과 plunging운동의 조합으로 2차원 평면상에 나타날 수 있는 여러 운동궤적을 합성하여 flapping 주파수 변화에 따른 공력계수들의 변화를 살펴보았다. 상하방향의 순수 plunging운동에 lead-lag운동을 추가함으로써, 평균추력계수와 평균양력계수를 증가시킬 수 있는 운동궤적이 존재함을 확인하였다. 아울러 운동주기 동안 나타나는 추력계수와 양력계수의 변화를 비교하여 upstroke와 downstroke시 나타나는 공력특성을 파악하였다.

An intelligent semi-active isolation system based on ground motion characteristic prediction

  • This study proposes an intelligent semi-active isolation system combining a variable-stiffness control device and ground motion characteristic prediction. To determine the optimal control parameter in real-time, a genetic algorithm (GA)-fuzzy control law was developed in this study. Data on various types of ground motions were collected, and the ground motion characteristics were quantified to derive a near-fault (NF) characteristic ratio by employing an on-site earthquake early warning system. On the basis of the peak ground acceleration (PGA) and the derived NF ratio, a fuzzy inference system (FIS) was developed. The control parameters were optimized using a GA. To support continuity under near-fault and far-field ground motions, the optimal control parameter was linked with the predicted PGA and NF ratio through the FIS. The GA-fuzzy law was then compared with other control laws to verify its effectiveness. The results revealed that the GA-fuzzy control law could reliably predict different ground motion characteristics for real-time control because of the high sensitivity of its control parameter to the ground motion characteristics. Even under near-fault and far-field ground motions, the GA-fuzzy control law outperformed the FPEEA control law in terms of controlling the isolation layer displacement and the superstructure acceleration.

조명을 활용한 신소재의 시각적 표현유형 및 특성분석 (Analysis to the Visual Expression Types and Characteristics of New Materials Utilizing the Lighting)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the expression method and visual characteristics of material utilized the lighting in terms of a visual aspect. The method of study is to establish standards for analysis and to classify type of visual effect and expression of that focused on preliminary study. And It is to grasp the visual expression characteristics of new materials. through analysis standards. The results of the study are as follows. First, 'decorativeness', 'symbolization', 'motion-images' and 'interactivity' were selected as the type of visual expression through the precedent studies. And it was classified the visual effects as 3 types like 'a light-emitting effect', 'steric effects' and 'movement effect'. Second, We could know that 'light-emitting effect' was expressed in 7-new materials, 'three-dimensional effect' was expressed in 3-new materials, and 'motion effect' in 4-new materials. Through that. We could know that the new materials represented with 'light-emitting effect' are much more than the other new materials. Third, the results of this study show that 'decorativeness' in the visual types was appeared to 'light-emitting effect' and 'three-dimensional effect'. 'symbolization' to 'light-emitting effect' and 'motion effect', 'motion-images' to 'three-dimensional effect' and 'motion effect' and 'interactivity' to 'light-emitting effect', 'three-dimensional effect' and 'motion effect'. And It was appeared to three effects in 'interactivity'. We could know that it is more effective to be presented the visual effect simultaneously to communication with the visual perception.

모션 포스터의 시각적 표현 특징 연구 (A Study on Visual Expression Characteristics of Motion Poster)

  • This paper analyzed the characteristics of Motion Poster (Moster) and discussed the visual expression methods. To this end, the existing literature on motion posters was organized. The visual representation of motion posters was analyzed by dividing into 'Main Visual', 'Mode of Movement', 'Playtime' and 'Sound'. The analysis results were as follows. As motion posters are kind of movie posters, they are made from the original movie poster images, characters, or scenes of the movie. Graphical representations used either photo-realism or computer realism. The movement methods are 'simple movement of visual elements(movement, gesture and rotation, appear or disappear)+fixed camera movement' or' camera movement (zoom in/out, rotate, move) + fixed visual element movement'. Playback time ranged from about 10 seconds to over 1 minute of video, and the longer the video, the higher the probability of including sound.

  • This paper presents a detailed derivation of the equations of motion for the stable member of a four-axis platform. Gimbal bearing friction is considered for motion analysis. First, dynamic characteristics of platform, gimbal and gyro with Coulomb friction are studied due to vehicle's angular motion. Second, Vehicle's motion is assumed the sinusoidal function and dynamic characteristics of platform, gimbal and gyro are studied. Conclusively, considering effects of Coulomb friction, they could not follow the vehicle's angular motion and have constant errors. In case of sinusoidal motion, relative angles for each gimbal are amplified, but they are sinusoidal function with almost the same phases.

Kinect Sensor- based LMA Motion Recognition Model Development

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest that the movement expression activity of intellectually disabled people is effective in the learning process of LMA motion recognition based on Kinect sensor. We performed an ICT motion recognition games for intellectually disabled based on movement learning of LMA. The characteristics of the movement through Laban's LMA include the change of time in which movement occurs through the human body that recognizes space and the tension or relaxation of emotion expression. The design and implementation of the motion recognition model will be described, and the possibility of using the proposed motion recognition model is verified through a simple experiment. As a result of the experiment, 24 movement expression activities conducted through 10 learning sessions of 5 participants showed a concordance rate of 53.4% or more of the total average. Learning motion games that appear in response to changes in motion had a good effect on positive learning emotions.   • 영화와 방송과 같은 영상분야에서 발전한 모션그래픽(Motion Graphic)은 설치미술과 같은 예술분야와 웹사이트등의 인터랙티브 미디어에 이르기까지 폭넓게 사용되고 있다. 특히 영화홍보 웹사이트는 영상 미디어의 특징과 웹사이트의 특징이 혼합된 형태로 모션그래픽 기법이 적극적으로 사용되고 있는 상황이다. 이에 본 연구는 영화홍보 웹사이트의 특징을 분석하고 모션그래픽 분석을 위한 선행 연구를 조사하였다. 이것을 토대로 시각적 요소, 미디어 요소, 모션요소를 주요소로 갖는 웹사이트 분석모델을 제안하였다. 또한 2013년 국내 흥행 영화 중 영화홍보 웹사이트를 선정하여 사례 분석하였고 결과를 토대로 개선점과 발전 방향을 제시해보는데 그 목적이 있다.

초고강도강판의 성형성에 미치는 슬라이드 모션 제어와 마찰특성의 영향 (Effect of Slide Motion Control and Friction Characteristics on Formability of Ultra High Strength Steel)

  • Although the application of high strength steel is increasing to cope with the various updated regulations of automobiles, high strength steel sheets are difficult to formulate due to the high tensile strength and low elongation of those materials. In this study, the slide motion was controlled using a servo press in order to improve the formability of the process of manufacturing ultra-high strength steel of above 1.2GPa. Also, the friction characteristics of the slid motion were investigated through a high speed friction test. The slide motion was optimized by adjusting the number of steps, the rising start position and the rise height of the slide. At the same time, it is noted that the optimal slide motion increased the forming depth by about 40%. From the results of the high speed friction test, the application of the slide motion reduces friction resistance, thereby improving friction characteristics and improving formability.

  • Present work deals with a study on the deployment or retraction of cantilever beam that includes the rigid-body motion of large displacement of beam through the translational and rotational motions in 2-dimensional plane. The equations of motion are derived with respect to non-Cartesian coordinate system. In the formulation of equations of motion, shear deformations and geometrically non-linear effect are included. An assumed mode method is applied and numerical convergence characteristics are studied also. Types of motion of the moving beam are assumed to be classified as‘slow’or‘fast’motion, and the dynamic characteristics are investigated.

  • The deep ocean engineering basin (DOEB) of the Korea Research Institute of Ship and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) is equipped with an extreme-environment reproduction facility that can analyze the motion characteristics of offshore structures and ships. In recent years, there have been requirements for a wide range of six-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) motion measurements for performing maneuvering tests and free-running tests of target objects (offshore structures or ships). This study introduces the process of developing a wide-area motion measurement technology by incorporating the auto-tracking technology of the towing carriage system to overcome the existing 6-DOF motion measurement limitation. To realize a wide range of motion measurements, the automatic tracking control system of the towing carriage in the DOEB was designed as a speed control method. To verify the control performance, the characteristics of the towing carriage according to the variation in control gain were analyzed. Finally, a wide range of motions was tested using a model test object (a remotely operated vehicle (ROV)), and the wide-area motion measurement technology was implemented using an automatic tracking control system for a towing carriage.
