대학생의 어머니 취업력, 성취동기와 직업 양성평등의식이 어머니 취업에 대한 부정적 신념에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Maternal Employment History, Achievement Motivation, and Gender Egalitarianism in Job on University Students' Negative Beliefs about the Consequences of Maternal Employment)

  • The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects maternal employment history, achievement motivation and gender egalitarianism in job on university students' negative beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment. A total of 338 university students in Seoul, Kyungki, and Kyungnam area, provided information for the study. Analyses results showed that male students had higher level of negative beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment and achievement motivation and lower level of gender egalitarianism in job than female students did. Mothers' history of employment during the student's middle and high school period and higher job egalitarianism predicted lower negative beliefs about maternal employment. As male and female students were compared, male students with history of mothers' employment, lower level of achievement motivation and higher level of gender egalitarianism showed low level of negative beliefs about maternal employment. For female students, mothers' employment significantly predicted their beliefs about negative consequences of maternal employment.

일부 치기공과 대학생들의 해외취업에 관한 의식 조사 연구 (A Study on the Recognition Level of Employment and Overseas Employment among Students Majoring in Dental Technology)

  • This study was conducted to research into the recognition level of employment and overseas employment on 173 students majoring in dental technology at two colleges in Daegu metropolitan city and Jeju self-governing island through questionnaires which are recorded individually. The results are as follows. 1. About 31.8% students chose dental technician department taking their aptitude into consideration when they entered college. 52% students gained information about dental technology through internet, and 57.3% students among them, which was the highest level, were under age 20. 2. 48.6% students responded that they thought the level of satisfaction with major was average and there was a difference according to their ages among the level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction with their major and the previous knowledge of major they had gained before entering college. 75.1% students said they wouldn't transfer to other major even if they were given the chance, which was much higher than the opposite case. And only 2.3% students had dissatisfaction at their major, which means students majoring dental technology evaluate their major positively. 3. Most students(58.4%) wanted to get a job for living cost and 53.2% students took advice from their seniors or elderly people in choosing their jobs. 64.7% students answered they should have professional skills to get a good job, which was different according to their ages. In addition, 51.4% students of dental technology department regarded the opportunities to exert their abilities as the most important element in choosing their jobs. That means students value self-decision and selfrealization when they choose their jobs. 4. The majority of students(32.9%) preferred to work at the dental laboratory in dental college hospital as their workplace. Moreover, seniors over age 21 wanted to work in the field of porcelain and juniors under age 20 preferred to work in the implant part concerning the field which students wants to work. 5. About 91.3% students have ever heard about overseas employment and wanted to work abroad if given the opportunities(77.5%). This points out students have much interest in overseas employment and positive attitude. And there was a difference according to age and grade in case of the preferred country when they work abroad 6. The main barrier to overseas employment was a lack of communication ability(63.0%), therefore, students thought foreign language education should be activated to improve overseas employment(26.0%). To show this more specifically, juniors thought foreign language education and internship are most important factors(both are 21.4% alike), while seniors thought foreign language education is essential(24.6%) as a way to improve overseas employment. Students also thought that participation in language study club helps to prepare for overseas employment(69.4%). When putting all these survey results together, it's very important to develop people in advance who have job ability and language ability necessary for overseas employment as well as to improve job awareness in the field of dental technology. Consequently, it's needed to seek for various ways to get a overseas job through foreign language education and overseas internship.

공업계 고등학생들의 회복탄력성, 전공만족도, 취업준비도간의 구조적 관계 (The Structural Relationship among Resilience, Major Satisfaction and Employment Preparation of Technical High School Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 공업계 고등학생들의 회복탄력성, 전공만족도, 취업준비도간의 구조적 관계를 구명하는 것이다. 이 연구의 대상은 공업계 고등학생이며, 440명의 공업계 고등학생들을 조사대상으로 선정하였다. 조사도구로는 설문지를 활용하였으며, 회수된 409부 중 불성실 응답을 제외한 391부를 분석에 활용하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 공업계 고등학생들의 회복탄력성은 높았으며, 영역별로는 흥미와 관심의 다양성이 가장 높았으며, 감정조절이 상대적으로 가장 낮았다. 그리고 공업계 고등학생들의 일반 특성에 따른 차이를 알아본 결과 마이스터고 학생이 특성화고 학생보다, 남학생이 여학생보다, 교과성적이 높은 학생이 회복탄력성이 더 높았다. 둘째, 공업계 고등학생들의 전공만족도는 보통이었으며, 영역별로는 전공 전망이 가장 높았으며, 사회차원 만족이 상대적으로 가장 낮았다. 그리고 공업계 마이스터고 학생이 특성화고 학생보다, 남학생이 여학생보다, 교과성적이 높은 학생이 전공만족도가 더 높았다. 셋째, 공업계 고등학생들의 취업준비도는 보통이었으며, 하위 영역 중 취업태도가 매우 높았으며, 직무수행능력과 취업정보는 보통이었다. 그리고 공업계 마이스터고 학생이 특성화고 학생보다, 남학생이 여학생보다, 교과성적이 높은 학생이 취업준비도가 더 높았다. 넷째, 공업계 고등학생들의 회복탄력성은 직접적으로 학생들의 취업준비도에 영향을 미칠뿐 아니라 전공만족도를 매개로 하여 취업준비도에 영향을 주었다. 그리고 다중집단분석을 통하여 공업계 고등학생들의 회복탄력성과 전공만족도, 취업준비도의 관계는 마이스터고와 특성화고 모두에 적용되는 모형임이 확인되었다.

  • This study examines the factors related to university students' positive beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment. A total of 338 university students in Seoul, Gyeong-gi, and Kyungnam area provided information about their socio-economic background, parents' employment history, achievement motivation, and gender egalitarian attitude. A two-way analysis of variance showed significant interaction effects of gender and grade on positive beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment. Multiple regression analyses by gender indicated that factors related with university students' positive beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment may differ by gender. For male students, grade, and socio-cultural gender egalitarian attitude were significantly related to positive beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment. For female students, grade, family monthly income, mother's employment during elementary school, and achievement motivation were related with positive beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment.

일부 치위생과 학생들의 취업준비행동에 관한 연구 (A study on employment preparation behavior in the dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate influences on employment preparation in dental hygiene students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 386 dental hygiene students in South Korea from November 1 to 30, 2016. For data analysis, the study used independent t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson correlation analysis, and regression analysis among others. Results: Students with higher grades tended to have major satisfaction, instruction participation, and employment preparation (P<0.001). Higher parental monthly income was related to higher major satisfaction (P<0.001). Employment preparation was significantly positively related to major selection motive, major satisfaction, and instruction participation. Conclusions: In order to encourage dental hygiene students to prepare for employment, it is necessary to create a better academic environment and develop a variety of employment preparation education programs. I think that the active interest of the country, society, school, and family will have a positive impact on employment preparation.

미용 전공 대학생의 취업스트레스가 진로결정 및 취업준비행동에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Employment Stress on Cosmetology Students Occupation Decision and Job Hunting Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for career guidance to cosmetology students by examining the effects of job stress on career decisions and job preparation behaviors. Overall 214 parts were empirically analyzed as final samples. Collected data and statistical processing are based on SPSS ver. Analysis was performed using the 21.0 program. An analysis of the effect of job stress on career decision showed that employment anxiety (β= .206, p<.05), job anxiety(β=.824, p<.05), and anxiety in career search(β=.118, p<.05) showed a statistically significant effect(+). However, employment concerns(β=-.312, p<.001) in career determination and employment concerns(β=-.223, p<.01) in career search are statistically significant parts(-). An analysis of the effect of employment stress on employment preparation behavior found that employment anxiety(β=.364, p<.05) has a statistically significant effect(+) on information use preparation, It was found that the statistically significant part(-) affects employment anxiety(β=-.188, p<.01). The study found that the more anxious cosmetology students are about employment, the more they plan and explore career options, and make information-based preparations for employment. Through this research, we hope that there will be lively discussions among cosmetology students on career adaptability, life satisfaction, and employment anxiety.

Role of University on Undergraduate Employment by Disciplines

  • This study starts from the perspective that preparing students for employment is the most important role of undergraduate degree programs. Therefore, we examine the determinants of undergraduate employment, especially highlighting the differences by disciplines. We classify 28 factors into five categories such as personal attributes, entrance attributes, students’ employment-related activities, regular curriculum and employability programs provided by universities. This study is based on data from 7,616 students from a Korean university over four and half years. Findings reveal that university efforts are crucial in engineering. Only exchange programs and employment programs have an impact on science. There are no specific factors in humanities and social science. Grade point average and students’ efforts are important in business. Face-to-face coaching in employability support programs is effective for securing employment except in science disciplines. The study results do not point to the absence of a role of university even in the low employment disciplines. Rather, the issue is that of an over-supply of graduates exceeding job offers that results from the worldwide expansion of higher education services.

일부 보건계열 대학생의 취업 스트레스에 관한 연구 (A study on employment stress of health college students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to measure employment stress of health college students and to consider a proper means for the solution. Methods : The population of the research is some randomly chosen health college students located in Seoul City during the period from May 10 to June 11 2010, and the sample of 295 students were recruited as the analysis object group. The data on general characteristics and employment stress were collected by a questionnaire survey. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The following shows the results of this study. Results : 1. Mean scores of employment stress in female students were significantly higher than those in male(p<0.01). 2. Employment stress level was significantly higher in low group of home economy, competence for a schoolwork, personal relations, satisfaction in campus life. 3. In regression analysis, home economy, competence for a schoolwork, satisfaction in campus life were proved as significant factors that is related to the employment stress(p<0.01). In other words, It is significant statistically that the lower home economy, competence for a schoolwork, satisfaction in campus life, the higher employment stress level (p<0.05). Conclusions : I suggest with the result of the study that for coping effectively employment stress of health college students, we will need to open an exclusive employment counsel window for better administration welfare service in campus. Because of students are independent responsibility of employment, active effort must take precedence in order for the solution of problem by themselves. Also, we will need to create better academic environment and show more concern, consideration, love in family.

대학생의 졸업연기 유형과 취업성과 : 취업목적 휴학의 효과를 중심으로 (College Students' Delayed Graduation and Employment Achievement : Focusing on the Effects of Employment-Oriented Delay on the Employment Outcomes)

  • 본 논문은 대졸자의 취업성과에 있어 취업준비 목적의 자발적 졸업연기가 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 위 연구 목적을 위해, 본 연구는 한국고용정보원의 '2015년 대졸자직업이동경로조사(2014GOMS)' 자료를 활용하여 취업준비 목적의 자발적 졸업연기가 정규학기 졸업과 비교해 취업여부와 첫 일자리 임금수준에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 로지스틱 회귀분석과 다중회귀분석방법을 사용하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 취업준비 목적의 자발적 졸업연기는 정규학기 졸업에 비해 취업확률에 유의미한 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 취업준비 목적의 자발적 졸업연기는 정규학기 졸업에 비해 첫 일자리의 임금수준이 높을 가능성이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 시사점을 논의하고자 한다. 첫째, 기업은 투명한 채용기준을 제시하여 대학생들이 필요한 역량계발에 몰두할 수 있도록 돕고, 대학은 학생들이 재학 중 단기 일 경험을 할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 제시하여야 하며, 정부는 이중노동시장 구조를 완화하고 불평등을 해소하여 청년층의 첫 일자리 선택에 대한 불안감을 줄일 수 있도록 제도와 정책을 보완해야 할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

일부 전문대학 보건계열 대학생의 취업 스트레스와 구강 증상발현에 관한 연구 (Relationship between employment stress and oral symptoms in health college students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between employment stress and oral symptoms in health college students. Methods : A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 275 health college students in Seoul from October 7 to November 29, 2013. The data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 14.0 program. Results : Female students tended to have higher employment stress oral symptoms than male. The higher the employment stress was, the more oral symptoms were. There was a close relationship between personal trait, environmental stress and oral symptoms. Regression analysis showed that tongue, teeth, gum, temporomandibular joint(TMJ) were influenced by the employment stress. Conclusions : It is important to reduce the environmental stress in the students. The students themselves must try to overcome the agonal condition by diverting stress into positive way of living.
