대학 입시광고의 설득전략에 대한 기호학적 분석 연구 (A Semiotic Explication of the Persuasion Strategies Used in the Student Recruitment Advertising of Korean Colleges and Universities)

  • 이 연구는 한국 대학의 입시광고를 수집한 후, 기호학적 분석을 통하여 입시광고 속에 나타난 설득전략들을 탐색해보는데 연구의 초점을 두고 있다. 대학의 입시광고는 광고주인 대학이 설득 타깃인 수험생 및 학부모를 대상으로 '왜 우리 대학을 선택해야 하는가'에 대한 다양한 명분과 실리를 제시하게 되는데, 이 사회적 소통과정에는 메시지의 수용자가 이상적으로 생각하고 있는 대학의 상징적 의미체계가 설득적 전제로 활용되고 있다. 즉 대학의 입시광고는 광고주(廣告主)로서 대학이 '대학은 이런 모습이어야 하며 이런 기능과 역할을 수행할 수 있어야 한다'는 시대적·사회적 요구를 반영하여 '수험생과 학부모'의 선택을 유도하는 '전략적·설득적 텍스트'이다. 광고의 정교한 설득 전략은 광고 대상과 연관된 다양한 사회문화적 전제를 조사하고 각 전제를 가장 효과적으로 표현할 수 있는 소구점을 선별하여 사용하게 되는데 이 제반 과정을 통제하고 지배하는 기저구조는 그 사회의 소비문화적 이데올로기라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 대학의 입시광고에는 대학의 고객인 수험생 및 학부모가 추구하고 '소비'하고자 하는 대학의 소비문화적 가치체계와 이데올로기가 내재되어 있다고 할 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 대학의 입시광고[記號]를 수집하여 기호학적 분석틀을 적용하여 '광고에 투영된 한국대학의 소비문화적 가치체계와 사회문화적 이데올로기'를 분석해보고자 하였다.

간호대학생의 융합카데바 실습이 간호전문직관, 전공만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Convergence Cadaver Practice on Nursing Professionalism and Major Satisfaction in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 융합카데바 실습이 간호대학생의 간호전문직관과 전공만족도에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위해 시행한 단일군 전후 설계연구이다. 2018년 10월 1일부터 10월 30일까지 해부학 교실에 참가한 133명의 M 대학교 간호대학생을 대상으로 시행하였다. 연구결과 간호전문직관은 융합카데바 실습 전에는 3.50±.87에서 실습 후 3.44±.96(t=.98, p<.330), 전공만족도는 융합카데바 실습 전에는 3.83±.81에서 실습 후 3.91±.78(t=-.95, p<.345)의 결과를 보였다. 간호전문직관과 전공만족도의 상관관계는 (r=.54, p>.001)양의 관계를 보였다. 하위영역의 부분적 결과는 증가하였지만, 앞으로 전공기초지식의 질적 함양을 위한 카데바 실습을 포함한 구체적인 융합교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과를 볼 수 있는 후속 연구가 필요하다.

초등학생의 흡연 실태와 흡연 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Cigarette Smoking and Its Attitudinal Factors Among the 6 Grade Students in Korea)

  • Background & Objectives: This study was designed to examine relationships between smoking behavior and smoking attitudes among 6th-grade students in Korea in order to provide knowledge on school-based programs for preventing adolescent smoking behaviors. Methods: Questionnaires were administered to 464 students attending three public elementary schools in O city from June 13 to June 16, 2006. The total sample size is 458 (response rate = 98.7%). Data were statistically analyzed by frequency analysis, cross tabulation, and multiple regression. Results: First, smoking behavior was significantly influenced by the factors of gender, self-concept, family structure, sibling smoking, school achievement, relationship with teachers, satisfaction with school life, and smoking friends. Theprevalence of ever-smoking was 12.7% among 6th grade students in this study. Students were most likely to initiate smoking in the 5thgrade with curiosity and smoke at their own home. Second, students showed negative attitude toward smoking overall. From the detailed section, students respondednegatively about smoking in public places while they thought that adult smoking with moderate level was okay. Student who showed positive attitudes toward smoking in the present study were significantly related to the factors of self-concept, family environment, parental and sibling smoking status, school achievement, satisfaction with school life, and smoking friends. Third, Students who had tried cigarette smoking were likely to report less negative attitudes toward tobacco than non-smoking students. Fourth, this study found that smoking friends were the most significant predictor of positives smoking attitudes. Other factors significantlyassociated with smoking attitudes were gender, relationship with friends, self-concept, relationship with teachers, paternal smoking status. Conclusions: The study results suggest that smoking prevention programs focus on resisting peer influence and need to be community-incorporated and/or comprehensive from elementary to high school.

국민학교 학생의 시력관리 지식 및 실천과 시력장애에 관한 조사연구 -3, 4, 5, 6학년을 중심으로- (A Study on the Visual Impairment State and Knowledge and Practice about Visual Impairment Protective Care of the Primary School Students in Chonbuk Area)

  • This study was designed to grasp the knowledge and practice the level about visual impairment protective care of the primary school students and also analyse the state of visual impairment. The subjects of this study ware 347 students composed of 456 boys and 391 girls in primary school students. The data were collected by questionaire developed for the purpose of this study which has been made through studying references. These were carried out from the 10th to 30th of June 1992. Analysis of the data was done utilizing SPSS for percentage, mean, S.D., T-test., ANOVA and Pearson's Correlation Coefficient. The major results obtained from this study were as follows: 1. The level of the knowledge about visual impairment protective care was in intermediate range (mean on 20 point scale of 12.34, with O=definitely no), but low in aspects of preventive care for overwork of eye (mean on 5 point scale of 2.67). 2. The level of the practice about visual impairment protective care was intermediate range (mean on 20 point scale of 12.34, with O=definitely no), but low in aspects of preventive care for overwork of eye (mean on 5 point scale of 2.58). 3. Significant variables influencing knowledge of visual impairment protective care were sex (p<0.01) and grade (p<0.001). 4. Significant variables influencing practice of visual impairment protective care was living area (p<0.01). 5. Correlation between knowledge and practice: Those who have more knowledge score have more practice score (p<0.001). 6. vision impairment state 1) Student with subnormal in 0.9 or less were 26.3% in left eye and 28.4% in right eye. 2) Student with subnormal in 0.6 or less were 11.9% in left eye and 10.9% in right eye. 7. Vision impairment programs 1) Males are slightly higher in the degree of visual impairment than females. 2) Visual impairment were increased in accordance with the increase of grade. 3) Urban students are higher in the degree of visual impairment than rural students, but these seem to have no statistical meaning.

해외 패션교육기관에서의 창의성 개발 교육사례 분석 (Creativity Enhancement Programs in World Fashion Schools)

  • This study examined the curricula of well-known fashion schools and educational programs through personal interviews with industry professionals. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of fashion programs that are designed to improve the creativity of students. Six fashion schools in Western Europe and the United States were selected based on the number of graduates included in the Designer Handbook published by Fairchild Books. Two Korean professionals from each school were interviewed either by email or in person, resulting in a total of 12 interviews. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The results indicated that the management styles as well as the curricula of these schools include features that enhanced student creativity. The schools are located in major fashion cities and have a close relationship with industry that is maintained to provide hands-on opportunities to students. The schools have clear and solid educational goals with instructional styles that provide students significant autonomy and responsibility. The instructors work closely with individual students to guide them through their projects and help develop students' unique styles. The schools utilized the instructions and studios as well as the social and cultural environments to help students acquire creative thinking and creative behavioral patterns. The findings of this study have implications for educators who wish to develop effective educational programs that enhance student creativity.

이공계 대학 학부생을 위한 MTP(Muti-grade Tutoring Project) e포트폴리오 평가 모형 개발 (A development of MTP e-portfolio evaluation model for the college students of science and engineering school)

  • MTP(Muti-grade Tutoring Project)는 공학계열 학생들이 완성도 높은 프로젝트 수행에 필요한 팀워크와 전공기술을 함양하기 위하여 개발된 이공계 교과과목 개발 모델이다. 학습자는 3년간 1,2,3학년으로 구성된 1년 단위 다학년 팀프로젝트에서 튜터와 튜티의 역할을 수행한다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 자신의 비젼을 스스로 설정하고, 선후배간의 커뮤니케이션 채널을 활성화함으로써 인적 네트워크를 형성하여 졸업 후 취업에 지원을 받을 수 있으며 현장에 적응도를 높일 수 있고, 졸업학년도에는 보다 완성도 높은 졸업 프로젝트를 수행할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 MTP 교과목을 통하여 경험하는 학습 성장과정을 스스로 관리 개발할 수 있는 MTP e포트폴리오 평가 모형을 제시하였다. 특히 참여자, 학습상의 변화, 과정의 3 차원으로 기술한 평가절차 모형구조는 다학년 학생이 수행하는 프로젝트에 협동교수가 보조하는 과정에서 수업이 역동적이고 활성화 되어질 수 있는 도구로써 활용될 것이다.

수학영재의 집단창의성 발현 모델 개발 (A Study on the Manifestation Process Model Development of Group Creativity among Mathematically Gifted Students)

  • 본 연구는 수학영재의 집단창의성 발현 모델을 이론적으로 구안하고, 이를 실제 수업에 적용한 결과를 분석하여 모델을 확인하고 정교화하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 영역 일반적인 집단창의성에 대한 선행연구와 수학영재의 창의성에 대한 선행연구를 고찰하여 집단창의성 발현 모델을 구안하였다. 또한 이 모델을 수학영재학급 수업에 적용하여 학생들이 보인 반응을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 집단창의성 발현 모델의 각 단계에 따른 수학영재의 반응과 집단창의성에 작용하는 주요 요인을 확인하였으며, 수학적 정당화를 위해 추측 또는 문제해결 아이디어 공유 단계로 되돌아가는 과정과 집단 수준의 창의적 시너지가 일어날 수 있는 발생 및 긴장 상태에서 추측 또는 문제해결 아이디어 공유단계로 되돌아가는 과정을 추가적으로 발견하였다.

탈북 대학생의 문화적응 스트레스와 레질리언스가 우울증상에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Acculturative Stress and Resilience on Depression of University Students from North Ko)

  • This study investigated the effects of acculturative stress and resilience on the depression of university students from North Korea, and examined the moderating effect of resilience on the relation between acculturative stress and depression. The participants of this study were 116 university students from North Korea (53 males and 63 females) aged between 20 and 35 years. The participants were asked to respond either to a written questionnaire or to an online survey system designed to measure research variables. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and a hierarchical regression. The moderating effect of resilience was examined by means of a hierarchical regression. The major findings were as follows: first, an increase in the level of acculturative stress increased that of depression, whereas an increase in the level of resilience decreased that of depression. Second, the moderating effect of resilience on the relation between acculturative stress and depression was statistically significant. That is, the negative influence of acculturative stress on depression was greater when the level of resilience was low, compared to when it was high. In summary, both acculturative stress and resilience had significant effects on the depression of university students from North Korea. Moreover, resilience buffered the detrimental effect of acculturative stress on their depression.

간호대학생들의 기본간호실습태도에 대한 주관성 연구 (An Inquiry into Subjectivity of Fundamental Nursing Practice Attitude)

  • The study was designed to identify the attitude of nursing students to fundamental nursing practice through Q-methodology. A Q sample was developed through a review of the literature and interviews. Forty statements made up the finalized Q-sample. The P sample consisted of 25 nursing students in S College. Q statements were written on separate cards and were given to the 25 subjects to sort according to degree of agreement or disagreement. The Q-sort by each subject was coded and analyzed with QUANL PC Program. The analysis discovered three major attitudes, namely "type 1: passive demand", "type 2: active self-confidence", "type 3: practical application". The correlation was .213 between type 1 and 2, .409 between type 1 and 3, .379 between t ype 2 and 3. The results revealed three different types of fundamental nursing practice attitude; 1) Passive demand type: they were not satisfied with fundamental nursing practice time, the number of persons, practice machines. They presented anxiety and worry through fundamental nursing practice. Therefore, they will presenta passive attitude of clinical practice experience. 2) Active self-confidence type: they experienced pride as a nursing student and fascination as a nurse was an acquired recognition. 3) Practical application type: they practiced that fundamental nursing skill was applied their family and oneself. Therefore they had tension through initial fundamental nursing practice but they gained self-confidence and interest through practical study. In conclusion, the researchers suggest that the education program would be more effective if it was planned considering to each types of attitude of nursing students for fundamental nursing practicer fundamental nursing practice

Lessons Learned during the Early Phases of a Modular Project: A Case Study of UNLV's Solar Decathlon 2020 Project

  • The U.S. Department of Energy conducts the Solar Decathlon competition as a student-based achievement that encourages sustainable design with energy efficiency and solar energy technologies. In the 2020 competition, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) team designed, fabricated, and constructed a net-zero modular house that applies innovative and highly efficient building technologies. This paper focused on the lessons learned during the early phases of this ongoing modular project. The research methodology included obtaining feedback from key project participants using a well-structured questionnaire. The results showed that the major items/challenges in the project's planning phase included selecting the modular size, planning the construction system, planning the materials and procurement, estimating costs and duration, selecting a fabricator, collaboration and communication, safety, and planning module transportation. These findings will help modular practitioners and future Solar Decathlon competition participants better understand how and what factors they should consider most during the early phases through the lessons learned.
