Purpose - This study explored factors of online education that affect student dissatisfaction and learning effectiveness in higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Research design, data, and methodology - This study combined qualitative and quantitative designs. The qualitative part of this study involved in-depth interviews using a criteria-based purposive sampling technique. The quantitative part of this study consisted of an online survey. Results - The qualitative results revealed that students faced significant problems related to online learning, including a lack of learning environment, interaction, and support from the school. The quantitative results indicated that the effects of transitioned-online courses on student dissatisfaction were higher with student support, the interaction between students and instructors, online learning environment, and course organization and evaluation based on the order, while the effects on learning effectiveness were higher with the online learning environment, interaction between students and instructors, course organization and evaluation, and student support based on the order. Conclusion - The results implied that online learning in the era of the COVID 19 pandemic negatively affects student satisfaction and learning effectiveness. Policymakers and school leaders should improve students' satisfaction and learning effectiveness when confronted with the pandemic. Better policies should be adopted to improve better way of teaching in the era of COVID19.
Although student satisfaction is important in university development, there have been many studies in this area. Especially student satisfaction is closely related to emotional aspect, but most studies have tended to study it with cognitive view. To suggest the model of student satisfaction with hedonic view, the model which we present in this study includes professor presence and interaction, PAD(pleasure, arousal, dominance), satisfaction(dependent variable). Through reviewing previous studies, we expect that these professor presence and students' interaction effect PAD, in turn, PAD effect satisfaction. Survey research is employed to test hypotheses involving professor presence, students' interaction, PAD and satisfaction. Previous researches, such as education, marketing, game, have been referenced to measure constructs. We collected data involving students in a university, and used 219 respondents to analyze these data using LISREL structural modeling. Professor presence had positive effects on professor-student interaction, pleasure, arousal, and dominance. Also professor-student interaction had positive effect on pleasure and arousal, and student-student interaction had positive effects on pleasure and arousal, dominance. As a result, PAD had effects on students' satisfaction. In the final section, we discussed several limitations of our study and suggested directions for future research. We concluded with a discussion of managerial implications, including the potential to advance understanding learning in a university.

We used structural equation modeling to analyze data from 298 high school students in South Korea to investigate the relationship between student-perceived teachers' calling and students' academic burnout and the mediating effects of student-perceived need-supportive teaching and students' basic psychological need satisfaction. The results showed that student-perceived teachers' calling was not directly related to students' academic burnout and that student-perceived need-supportive teaching mediated the indirect negative relationship between student-perceived teachers' calling and students' academic burnout. Furthermore, student-perceived need-supportive teaching and students' basic psychological need satisfaction sequentially mediated the indirect negative relationship between student-perceived teachers' calling and students' academic burnout. Implications and suggestions for future research are discussed based on these results.
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to analyze the effects that Flipped Learning Method has on a college student's self directed learning ability, critical thinking disposition, learning motivation, and learning satisfaction, and determine its effectiveness as a new pedagogical approach. Methods: The survey was conducted on dental technology students. The collected data was analyzed by the statistical program SPSS 21.0. The results were analyzed by reliability, frequency, t-test. To test for significance on each item, p<0.05 has been decided as a standard. Results: According to the analysis, the student who attended a class that utilized Flipped Learning Method was found to have higher levels of self directed learning ability, critical thinking disposition, learning motivation, and learning satisfaction than a student who attended a class that did not utilize such a method. Conclusion: The study results show that, in order to enhance students' self directed learning ability, critical thinking disposition, learning motivation, and learning satisfaction and to improve the quality of class instruction, it may be necessary that Flipped Learning Method be adopted more widely and recommended more strongly. Such changes will promote a long term improvement in educational environments and play a major role in strengthening students' abilities.

The resulting personality profiles of the medical students were correlated with scores of the satisfaction with major and student life Results: First, there were more preference types of Introversion(61.71%), Sensing(67.66%), Thinking(73.41%) and Judging(61.71%) than Extraversion (38.29%), Intuition (22.34%), Feeling (26.59%) and Perception(38.29%), Most medical students are personality type ISTJ(24.21%), followed by ESTJ(17.02%), Second, students with the preference for Extraversion and Intuition were more satisfied with their major and student life. Third, the preference for Judging showed higher scores in the satisfaction with major. Conclusions: This study might give implications for the psychological wellbeing and successful studying of medical students.
The development and use of computer mediated communications (CMC) as a tool for teaching and learning English has grown considerably in recent years. The purpose of this study is to investigate factors related to learners' participation, achievement, and satisfaction in EFL classes using web-based bulletin boards. The total number of 77 university students participated in this study. Three domains and eight independent variables investigated in this study were a learner-related domain (attitudes toward CMC, intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, attitudes toward writing), an interaction-related domain (student-student interaction, teacher-student interaction), and an environmental domain (physical support and design of the web site). In order to determine interrelation of variables correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used. The results of this study showed that the factors predicting a learner's participation were instrumental motivation, attitudes toward writing, and teacher-student interaction. The factors explaining a learner's achievement were learner's participation and attitudes toward writing, and the factors predicting a learner's satisfaction were integrative motivation, student-student interaction, teacher-student interaction, physical support and learner's participation.
The purpose of this study was to exam nursing students to verify the effects of self-directed learning readiness, teacher-student interaction, educational performance, stress and learner motivation on learner satisfaction. The study population consisted of second and third year nursing students at E university located in S city. Data were collected between June 15, 2016 to June 24, 2016, and questionnaire comprised items to measure general characteristics, learner motivation, teacher-student interaction, self-directed learning readiness, educational performance, and learner satisfaction. A total of 132 students were included for the final analysis. Learner satisfaction was positively correlated with self-directed learning readiness (r= .21, p= .018), teacher-student interaction (r= .39, p<.001), educational performance (r= .21, p= .014), and learner motivation (r= .75, p<.001). In addition, learner motivation was positively correlated with self-directed learning readiness (r= .24, p= .005), teacher-student interaction (r= .38, p <.001), and educational performance (r= .21, p= .018). Finally, learner motivation and teacher-student interaction were found to explain 59.7% of the variance of learner satisfaction. Our findings suggest strategies and interventions that boost learner motivation and teacher-student interaction which are required to improve learner satisfaction in nursing education.
Purpose: This study was to identify the perceptions of nursing student on the clinical practice environment and related variables. Methods: The subjects of this study were 180 nursing students from a college participated in clinical practice at four regional hospitals. Data was collected with the questionnaire tool for the perceptions of clinical practice environment. Results: The students highly satisfied in the major had significantly high perception in innovation, personalization, student involvement, and clinical practice satisfaction. The students with a low level of stress and a clearly named guidance nurse were significantly high in the perceptions of task orientation, innovation, personalization, student involvement, and practice satisfaction. Clinical practice environment variables such as task orientation, innovation, individualization, personalization, student involvement, and practice satisfaction were significantly correlated with each other. In student characteristics, the main variables directly influencing the perceptions of clinical practice environment were religion, the level of stress, and the method of guidance. Conclusion: Understanding the students' perspective would be valuable for promoting a positive clinical practice environment. Developing a cooperative system between the college and educational hospitals is necessary for effective clinical practice education.
