Traditional method of pulpectomy for a necrotic primary anterior tooth was done on lingual side. But it could not recover the discoloration of crown effectively. For the purpose of treating the discoloration of crown after lingual pulpectomy, additional methods of crown restoration were needed like : celluloid crown, open-faced crown, rasin-faced crown. Neverthless, these kinds of complete coverage methods had some disadvantages such as possibility of tooth fracture by increased tooth preparation. In order to overcome the shortcomings of lingual pulpectomy, labial treatment could be considered as an alternative. It is a method that treats necrotic pulp through the labial access opening. After finishing the pulp treatment, discolored labial tooth structure was removed extending from access opening. Discoloration of deep area could be masked effectively using opaque sealant. Cavity on labial side was restored with composite resin. This labial approach method has several advantages. First, it gives a direct vision for effective pulp treatment which is also very useful for children with poor behavior. Second, most of lingual tooth structure could be saved and occlusal contact of lingual surface remains undisrupted. Only nonfunctional discolored labial surface may removed. Third, complete removal of discolored part of a labial tooth and immediate resin restoration could be done effectively after pulp treatment. Moreover, it also could be used for pulp treatment having serious dental caries on labial surface with sound lingual tooth structure. This report presents cases with discolored upper anteior primary tooth, approaching labial side with successful restoration.
The purpose of this study is to propose the design criteria and detailed design model by reviewing the issues related to geometry, formation process, destruction process, hydraulic function, restoration and ecological function of the step-pool from the existing research results, to apply the step-pool sequences to river restoration. Based on the analysis and review results, the design criteria for the structure and size of the step-pool are presented as ratio of the step spacing and the channel width, ratio of the unit step slope and channel slope, and ratio of step height and the particle size. To ensure structural stability of the step, stability analysis method of overturning based on the keystone theory was proposed as a design criterion. As a detailed design concept, a layout model was proposed by applying the imbricating structure of keystones and arch stones to the planar, longitudinal and transverse configurations of the step-pool.
The hydromorphological structure assessment of the urban streams of Anyang stream, Yangjae stream, Osan stream, Jangsu stream, and Hakui stream 5 years the after close to nature stream restoration work was performed using LAWA (Laenderarbeitsgemeinschaft Wasser) for the investigation of the ecology of streams in urban areas. Based on the results, the effectiveness of stream restoration in urban areas was least in spite that existing various types of stream improvements were applied. Significantly, the grade of the longitudinal, the waterfront, and the use of land nearby waterfront was poorly evaluated. It would be estimated that this trend was due to the discontinuity of the longitudinal, the lack of diversity in waterfront, the installation of facilities nearby waterfront, and was due to the use of hard materials as like stones, blocks, frames, and mats in waterfront. The further studies on the implementation of structural diversity in waterfront should be performed for the improvement of the ecology of urban streams.
With characteristics of river continuum, stream ecosystems have diverse components and environments from upstream channel to estuarine area. Therefore, the habitat requirements and composition of conservative object should be well understood before applying any improvement measure. In this paper, the causes of stream habitat changes were first illustrated with the categories and principles of habitat restoration methods. The structural restoration techniques of fish habitat improvement utilized by the authors or one three-year research project starting at 1990 were then presented. Through the introductions on the project background, planning guidelines, structure design, and ecological evaluation, this paper tried to provide some effective examples of stream restoration practices that ecological expert was invited for cooperation and advising.
The purpose of this study is on monitoring complementary forest of village according to restoration project. Accordingly, this study was accomplished in case of Dubang complementary forest of village in Wanju-gun which was indicated as beautiful village forest by Korean government. This study describes the restoration project and identifies the change of species diversity and succession through monitoring. For this, vegetational survey was performed in 2003 and 2010. D(Dominant degree) and S(Sociability degree) was measured by Brown-Blanquet's method. The results demonstrate significant increase of species diversity and progress of natural succession. It means ecological structure and function have improved. Also ecological disturbance appears here and there on account of insufficient management.

In the present paper we propose two new improved iterative restoration algorithms. One is to accelerate convergence of the steepest descent method using the improved search directions, while the other accelerates convergence by using preconditioners. It is also shown that the proposed preconditioned algorithm can accelerate iteration-adaptive iterative image restoration algorithm. The preconditioner in the proposed algorithm can be implemented by using the FIR filter structure, so it can be applied to practical application with manageable amount of computation. Experimental results of the proposed methods show good perfomance improvement in the sense of both convergence speed and quality of the restored image. Although the proposed methods cannot be directly included in spatially-adaptive restoration, they can be used as pre-processing for iteration-adaptive algorithms.

This paper presents a new algorithm to restore the de-energized loads in electric power distribution systems for restoration by utilizing object-based structure and heuristic rules without branch and feeder overloading. In order to cope with a complex network configuration and frequent breaker switching operations in distribution systems, the component of power system is described as objects and the information of system configuration is constructed by connecting objects each other. Such a strategy is developed mainly based on the object search algorithm to increase computation efficiency. As a result, the proposed system has been implemented to efficiently deal with large distribution systems by reducing computational burden remarkably compared with the conventional methods.

The purpose of this is to evaluate Hakui Stream Naturalness Index(S.N.I). and to find out stats, problems and opportunities of the Hakui stream by assessment standard. Assessment standard is mainly based on physical structure of stream environment. The purpose evaluating sectors and elements are physical form and structure restoration of stream. To find out assessment standard of stream naturalness index, conceptual frame of assessment standard has been established, for which four sections, for example, longitudinal section, lateral section, stream bottom structure and water environment, have been selected. Overall stream naturalness index of the Hakui stream has been distributed at 3rd to 4th grade, and its assessment index accounted for 3.2 to be 3rd grade, and its mode also did 3rd grade. Stream naturalness index of each section was as follows: Longitudinal section index accounted for 3.6 in average to be 4th grade, and later section index did 3.0 to be 3rd grade, and stream bottom structure index did 3.0 to be 3rd grade, and water environment index did 2.7 to be 3rd grade. Analysis of assessment outcome of stream naturalness index has checked status, Problems and opportunities of corresponding stream. Assessment of stream naturalness index of the study provides useful information for restoration of close-to-nature stream, and furthermore has its meaning in checking problems and opportunities of Hakui stream.

The retaining wall is a structure which was made for changing land form in many construction. The first role of the retaining wall is to maintain the slope stability. But recently, the amount of retaining wall have been increasing because of the expansion of construction works and the amenity of urban environment have been decreasing because of environmental destruction and the scenic heterogeneity. So we should consider the slope stability and ecological stability at the same time. The purpose of this study is to develop the retaining wall revegetation technology using the Eco-Stone, the structure of co-satisfying which included the slope stability and the revegetation effect. Eco-Stone is a structure which has high stability for earth pressure, settlement and drainage. And cost and term of construction works also have been decreased. Eco-Stone structure is one of factors composing the ecological network which is harmonize with surrounding environment. In this way, it is expected that the ecological habitats of various species would be restored.

Questionnaire survey from 101 visitors and 77 specialists was carried out to establish the management plan on landscapes of the artificial structure constructed in valley within Bughansan National Park. When comparison was made between ground sill work structure and valley landscape, visitor group responded to the highest scores in valley landscape after planting of vine species in the bottom of the constructure, while specialist group responded to valley landscape after the removal of the constructure. When it made a comparison between revetment work constructure and valley landscape, visitor group responded to highest scores in valley landscape after planting of vine species in the top of the constructure, while specialist group responded to valley landscape after replacing concrete revetment by stone revetment constructure. When it made a comparison between fall work constructure and valley landscape, both groups responded to the highest scores in valley landscape after the removal of the constructure. According to the valley landscape analysis, artificial constructures built in water channel should be matched to adjacent landscape with the removal of concrete constructure. The slope of water channel should be considered to build fall work constructure.
