The Effects of Online Uncivil Comments on Vicarious shame and Coping Strategies: Focusing on the Power of Social Identity and Social Recommendation

  • Based on an online experiment, this research examined how uncivil expressions made by participants from the same political partisan group (in-group) influenced the emotional and behavioral intentions of other in-group members, especially when the incivility was supported by social recommendations such as "recommendations." As predicted, results showed that a higher level of vicarious shame was felt when participants perceived higher levels of incivility. However, no significant effects of social recommendations were found regarding levels of vicarious shame. That is, the level of shame was not significantly different between participants who were exposed to an in-group uncivil comment that received recommendations and participants who were exposed to in-group uncivil comment without recommendations. Findings further found two types of coping strategies -situation-reparation and situation-avoidance - among participants exposed to in-group uncivil comments. Yet no significant effects were found regarding coping strategies in response to the presence of social recommendations. Participants' feelings of shame were positively correlated with both types of coping strategies, supporting findings of previous studies. Implications of this study are further discussed.

전략유형, 혁신의 차원 및 성과의 관계에 관한 이론적 연구 (A Theoretical Study on the Relationship among Competitive Strategy, Dimensions of Innovation, and Performance)

  • In recent years many companies have faced with significant environmental changes. To cope with these changes, companies have shown considerable interest and commitment to innovation, In their quest for superior performance, these companies have explored different types and sources of innovation. This study examines how competitive strategy influences companies' emphasis on different innovation types (product, administrative. and process) and sources (incubative, acquisitive and imitative). This study suggests that different strategies are associated with distinct patterns of innovation types and sources. Further, the fit between competitive strategies and innovation types and sources is associated with superior company performance. Based on this concept this study suggests several hypotheses. These hypotheses, if supported by empirical study, will be very useful to the company to improve financial performance.

예비유아교사의 인지전략과 자기결정성 동기와의 관계 (Relationship Between Cognitive Strategies and Motivation for Self-determination in Preservice Kindergarten Teachers)

  • This study investigated relationship between preservice kindergarten teachers' cognitive strategies and self-determination motivation types. Cognitive strategies were measured by 3 variables surface, deep, and metacognitive strategies; motivation for self-determination was measured by 7 variables; intrinsic motivation(IM) to know, IM to accomplish, IM to experience stimulation, external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation, and amotivation. The Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire(Pintirch & DeGroot, 1990) and the Academic Motivation Scale(Vallerand et al., 1992, 1993) were administered to 82 subjects. Data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation, multiple regression analysis, and canonical correlation analysis. Finding were a positive correlation between IM to know and IM to accomplish. IM to accomplish positively predicted surface, deep, and metacognitive strategies, and identified regulation positively predicted deep cognitive strategy. Amotivation negatively predicted deep and metacognitive strategies.

학업성취도에 따른 초등학교 6학년 학생들의 비례 추론 능력 및 전략 분석 (The Analysis of 6th-Grade Elementary School Student's Proportional Reasoning Ability and Strategy According to Academic Achievement)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 초등 수학에서 중요시 되고 있는 비례 추론에 초점을 두고 비례 문제를 해결하는 과정에서 학생들의 학업성취도에 따른 비례 추론 능력과 비례 추론 전략 사용의 특징을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 초등학교 6학년 173명을 대상으로 다양한 유형의 비례 문제를 제시하고 최대 세 가지 추론 전략을 사용하여 해결하도록 하였다. 그 결과 상위권 학생들이 하위권 학생들보다 다양한 비례 추론 전략을 활용하고, 표현하고, 인식하는 능력이 뛰어남을 알 수 있었다. 또한 학생들이 선호하는 비례 추론 전략은 학업성취도에 따라서는 별 차이를 보이지 않았으나 문제 유형과 문제에 제시된 숫자들의 비에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 학생들의 학습 수준에 따른 능력 차이를 반영하여 적절한 비례적 추론 지도가 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

영재학생들의 지식수준에 따른 과학적 문제해결 전략 분석 (An Analysis of the Scientific Problem Solving Strategies according to Knowledge Levels of the Gifted Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of problem solving strategies that gifted students use in science inquiry problem. The subjects of the study are the notes and presentation materials that the 15 team of elementary and junior high school students have solved the problem. They are a team consisting of 27 elementary gifted and 29 middle gifted children who voluntarily selected topics related to dimple among the various inquiry themes. The analysis data are the observations of the subjects' inquiry process, the notes recorded in the inquiry process, and the results of the presentations. In this process, the knowledge related to dimple is classified into the declarative knowledge level and the process knowledge level, and the strategies used by the gifted students are divided into general strategy and supplementary strategy. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of categorizing gifted students into knowledge level, six types of AA, AB, BA, BB, BC, and CB were found among the 9 types of knowledge level. Therefore, gifted students did not have a high declarative knowledge level (AC type) or very low level of procedural knowledge level (CA type). Second, the general strategy that gifted students used to solve the dimple problem was using deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, finding the rule, solving the problem in reverse, building similar problems, and guessing & reviewing strategies. The supplementary strategies used to solve the dimple problem was finding clues, recording important information, using tables and graphs, making tools, using pictures, and thinking experiment strategies. Third, the higher the knowledge level of gifted students, the more common type of strategies they use. In the case of supplementary strategy, it was not related to each type according to knowledge level. Knowledge-based learning related to problem situations can be helpful in understanding, interpreting, and representing problems. In a new problem situation, more problem solving strategies can be used to solve problems in various ways.

국내 은행의 거래관계유형 결정요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Determinants of Transaction Relationship - Types in Domestic Banks)

  • 외환위기에 따른 IMF지원체제라는 어려운 경제환경하에서 현정부들어 시행된 국내경제 정책의 미숙과 지속적인 실패로 국내금융산업은 매우 어려운 상황에 직면하게 되었다. 특히 무분별한 통제정책으로 빅딜 등 사상초유의 구조조정이 이루어지면서 주요 국내 금융기관의 상당수가 헐값으로 외국기업에 팔리는 해프닝이 벌어지고 있다. 국내 금융산업이 사상초유의 은행퇴출 및 강제 합병, 국내은행의 해외덤핑매각, 엄청난 공적자금의 투입, 정치권의 각종 통제, 급격한 금리인하 등 예기치 못한 변화를 겪으면서 국내 은행들은 생존자체를 염려해야 하는 상황이 되었다. 이제 은행은 새로운 고객의 유치는 물론 기존의 고객을 경쟁사에 빼앗기지 않고 유지해야하는 관계마케팅전략에 관심을 기울여야 한다. 이 분야는 최근에 서비스산업에서 가장 중요하게 언급되고 있는 부분이다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 금융기관의 거래관계 유형을 파악하고 성공적인 전략을 찾아내는 데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 연구결과 국내은행이 고객과의 거래관계를 유지하는 전략유형은 크게 4가지로 나타났다. 즉, 사회적 결속, 구조적 결속, 재무적 결속, 기타 결속 둥으로 나타났다. 그리고 이러한 전략 중에서 은행의 성과에 유용한 전략은 성과유형별로 다소 차이는 있으나 대체적으로 재무적 결속, 구조적 결속, 사회적 결속 순으로 나타났다.

간호대학 실습생들의 성격/행동유형과 임상실습 스트레스 양상 및 대처 방식간의 관계 (Levels of Clinical Practice Stress and Coping Strategies according to Nursing Students' Personality/Behavior Types)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to identify levels of clinical practice stress and coping strategies according to the personality/behavior types of nursing students. Methods: The subjects of this study were 143 third- and fourth-grade nursing students in 14 nursing colleges who had experienced clinical practice. The questionnaire consisted of instruments to identify Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness (DISC) personality/behavior types, clinical stress, and stress coping strategies. The data were analyzed using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, descriptive statistics, and ANOVA, using the SPSS 24.0 program. Results: The DISC pattern showed high priority in Steadiness (48.3%), followed by Conscientiousness (21.0%), Influence (16.1%), and Dominance (14.7%), in that order. The steadiness type showed the lowest level of stress among four patterns. Conclusion: This study found that the personality/behavior types of nursing students differ. Additionally, different personality/behavior types can be attributed to stress levels and stress coping behaviors. Based on these results, different personality and behavior types of nursing students should be considered to manage their stress levels related to the clinical practicum experience.

담화양상과 의미형성전략에 관한 초임 교사의 중등 과학수업 사례 탐색 (An Exploratory Analysis of Discourse Types and Meaning-making Strategies Used by a Beginning Teacher in Secondary Science Class)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중등과학수업에서 나타나는 담화양상과 의미형성 전략을 분석하는 것이다. 연구 참여 교사는 서울의 한 중학교에서 과학을 가르치고 있었으며, 연구에 자발적으로 참여하였다. 연구진은 참여교사의 수업을 관찰하고 비디오 녹화하였고 전사하였다. 자료는 두 단계로 분석되었다. 첫 단계에서는 담화 양상을 범주화하였다. 두 번째 단계에서는 미시적 수준에서 의미형성 전략을 확인하였다. 연구 결과로서, 초임교사의 '빛의 경로와 성질' 단원의 과학 수업담화에서 나타난 담화양상과 의미형성 전략에 관하여 5개의 에피소드가 제시되었다. 연구결과를 토대로, 결론 및 후속연구와 교사전문성 발달에 관한 시사점이 탐색되었다.

사이버교육 유형별 교수설계 전략 및 콘텐츠 개발 - 보건복지 종사자를 위한 사이버교육을 중심으로 (Development of Instructional Strategies and Contents by Cyber Education Types - Focused on Cyber Education for Employees of Health and Welfare)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 보건복지 종사자가 직무 수행 시 필요한 교육 내용별 적합한 사이버교육 콘텐츠 유형을 분류하고 각 유형별로 구체적인 설계전략을 기반으로 콘텐츠를 개발하는 것이다. 먼저 선행연구, 기존의 보건복지 관련 사이버교육 콘텐츠 등을 기반으로 전문가회의를 통해 네 가지 콘텐츠 유형을 강사주도형 콘텐츠, 스토리텔링형 콘텐츠, 실습형 콘텐츠, 사례제시형 콘텐츠로 구분하였다. 각 콘텐츠 유형별로 거시적 설계전략, 미시적 설계전략 등을 도출하였으며 설계전략에 맞춰 콘텐츠를 개발하였다. 그리고 콘텐츠의 만족도 조사를 위해 교육수료생을 중심으로 150명의 자료를 수집하였다. 콘텐츠의 학습만족도 평균은 4.42로 높게 나타났다. 본 연구는 보건복지 사이버교육 콘텐츠 설계 및 개발에 대한 이론적 기초자료 및 실천적 시사점을 제공한다.

과제 및 기질에 따른 유아의 스트레스 대처 전략 (A Study of Preschooler's Stress Coping Strategies Depending on Task and Temperament)

  • This study investigated 3- and 5-year-old preschoolers' stress coping strategies depending on tasks, and whether preschoolers' stress coping strategies in each task depended on their temperament types. Subjects were 96 3- and 5-year-old preschoolers selected from three day-care centers in Seoul, Kounggi. A Parent Temperament Questionnaire for preschooler was used, and the coping strategies which each preschooler showed in task with perceived controllable, task with perceived uncontrollable were recorded by a video camera. Preschoolers' stress coping strategies recorded by a video camera were transcribed and analyzed according to the categories the researcher generated. Data were analyzed by paired t-tests and t-tests. As a results, there was a significant differences in preschoolers' stress coping strategies depending on the tasks and a significant temperament type difference in the preschoolers' stress coping strategies in each task.
